  6. ...... let me see if you really want to know...it could be more or less complex than.... Tax Rate on Short-Term Capital GainsCapital gain income from assets held one year or less is taxed at the ordinary income tax rates in effect for the year, ranging from 10% to 35%. Tax Rate on Long-Term Capital GainsCapital gain income from assets held longer than one year are generally taxed at a special long-term capital gains rate. The rate that applies depends on which ordinary income tax bracket you fall under. Zero percent rate if your total income (including capital gain income) places you in the ten or fifteen percent tax brackets. 15% rate if your total income (including capital gain income) places you in the twenty-five percent tax bracket or higher. *Throws away laser pointer, walks off stage while stepping on everyone's toes* ....

  15. did me read that right? :unsure" "it did result in the third lowest rate of gun ownership in the country (12.6%) behind only New Jersey and Hawaii." Hmmmmm.....how can that be? lets step back for a moment. is that 12.6% of the pop of MS or the whole US? if so that may be correct. however, it is based on pop of the state...then...there is no way Hawaii would be on that low end. there are approximately, 1.5 million registered firearms in Hawaii...i say again. 1.5 MILLION. but here is the most interesting part about it. the pop of the State of Hawaii is only about 1.3 million people! that over 1 fire are per/person. however, according to the Dept of Justice census crimes involving a Homicide by Firearms. Hawaii is dead last at 2.8 per 100k. now if you don't know how to do the math. 1.3 mill pop of Hawaii. given the 2.8/100k rate. and there is 13 100k's in 1.3 mill 2.8 x 13 = 364 approx. not that bad for a state in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Given that Hawaii as over 1.5 mill registered firearms state wide. Hawaii is ranked 3rd at Homicides involving "other" means (basically anything you can get your hands on or maybe just your hands. 43% of all Homicides) But thats the same for every where. so wot does that say in relation to Firearms ownership to Firearms crimes. Absolutely NOTHING! only that is a tiny factor of all violent crimes. a vast majority of gun owners are responsible owners because, YES, we know how dangerous a firearm can be! that why we practice a sheet load of safety procedures. it the dumb-arse irresponsible one shouldn't be allowed to touch one. they'd just f's it up for all the good ones give the criminals an open window to take advantage of. this is hard core numbers, people, Facts! and they call us gun owners Blind?! i'm willing to bet if you totaled that real stats together and break it down to pure numbers and % you'll find that total number of "other" Homicides will completely over shadow "Firearms" homicide by a landslide. for goodness sake...a BASEBALL BAT is more deadly than a gun! we have the "OTHER" crimes that need to be address in this country that we need to fix. it pisses me off how the Media and Anti-gun activist take their emotions and direct it toward something that is only a small factor of violent crimes. Don't get me wrong. as a woman and fellow gun owner. me heart goes out the victim's families that have been affected by all of this and pray to God to send the Holy Spirit to comfort them.
