Down through Christian history as well as today it is not hard to find strong Christian admonitions against astrology which are based upon hysteria and fear more than fact. Also this hidden fact mentioned above is one of the major reasons why the Roman Church down through history opposed science and astronomy so much as seen in the Church's opposition to Galileo and Copernicus as well as others. Ironically to those to decry one who studies astrology or astronomy we find that right in the opening of the "Jesus Story" the reader is introduced to astrology right at the beginning of the story of Jesus. We are confronted immediately in the "infancy narratives" with the"three wise men" or "magi" who used the 3 stars in the belt of Orion to find the babe in the manger (the manger is again representative of the Constellation of Capricorn, the Winter Solstice (Dec. 21-24) when our "Jesus Story" begins). These Magi as you can now see represent astrologers and astronomers.
But let us not be deceived; this is not the only example of Astrotheology in the "Jesus Story" for the New Testament is full of astro-theology passed off and accepted as "literal events". Educated study will show every reader that these "Jesus events" are little more than "allegorical" tales of the Ancients concerning the path of the Sun through the Zodiac.
Answer for yourself: What should we learn from this?
We need to be on the "lookout" for events in the New Testament which are portrayed as if "literal events" which in reality are but "allegorical events and teachings" which were later applied in a "literal manner" to the Jesus character of the New Testament. Knowing this fact helps condition the reader as he approaches the New Testament to be on the lookout for possible "allegories" which are erroneously depicted by the writers of the New Testament as if "historical-literal" when in fact they are not. We have to study enough to know the background behind these supposed "historical-literal events" in order to spot the "real" from the "fake" when reading the "Jesus Story".
SEPARATING TRUTH FROM FICTION PASSED OFF AS TRUTH
Speaking of these "three wise men" ben Yehoshua says, in The Christ Conspiracy, p. 145-146:
It should be noted that the centre of astrological superstition in the Roman Empire was the city of Tarsus in Asia Minor-the place where the legendary missionary Paul came from. The idea that a special star had heralded the birth of Jesus, and that a solar eclipse occurred at his death, is typical of Tarsian astrological superstition.
It is not my intention at present to get into the "Paul Problem" but that will come in time so bear with me please as we have other fish to fry at the moment but notice that men like Paul and others were conditioned in their time to the concepts of "Astrotheology".
Furthermore, at John 14:2 Jesus says,
John 14:2 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (KJV)
Barbara Walker comments on this verse in her Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets:
The original meaning of these mansions was "houses of the moon," that is, the zodiacal constellationthrough which the Moon goddess passed on her monthly round (Barbara Walker, The Woman's Encyclopedia Of Myths And Secrets, Harper, 1983, p. 144).
Answer for yourself: Did you know before now that the Apostle John, when mentioning the "Father's House" and the "many mansions", is teaching you Astrotheology? No, most likely you did not.
Answer for yourself: What are other examples of Astronomical allegories in the New Testament that we have been taught to accept as if "historical-literal"?
Answer for yourself: Should I expect that if I do some serious study into these areas that I would find that much of the "Jesus Story" is but an allegory for the path of the Sun through the Heavens and not intended to be taken as a "historical" reality?
I quickly found out when doing the necessary studies into these areas that when we accept and believe something to be "historical-literal" when in fact the intended meaning of the writer thousands of years ago meant what he wrote to be only interpreted in an "allegorical manner" then we can be certain our understanding of God and "His Christ" are in error today. This is the dark secret that few tell you when reading the Bible!
We can be certain that if we have accepted erroneously a "historical-literal" interpretation and have been led to believe the correct interpretation of the passage is again a "historical-literal" interpretation when in fact the writer of the passage or passages never intended such an interpretation of his writings then we must face the fact that it is us who have been misled when reading these texts. Interpreting events as if "historical-literal" when in fact they are not but rather "personifications" and "allegories" expressing deeper Spiritual and Metaphysical truths guarantee that we will not get the intended message from God in the texts we read. Failing to understand correctly what we are reading in this Bible so guarantees that we end up with a confused understanding of the passage which often leads us astray in our beliefs concerning Yeshua/Jesus and "the Christ". If one undertakes a serious study of Comparative Religion and Gnosticism and reads authors like Alvin Kuhn and Gerald Massey among others then one cannot help seeing for themselves that the modern Christian has fallen headlong into a pit of gross misinterpretation regarding the "Jesus Story! This tragic event of gross misunderstanding of the "Jesus Story" and the necessary interpretation and hermeneutic necessary to gleam from the "Jesus Story" what God desires we learn has occurred because the knowledge of the proper interpretation of this "Jesus Story" has been kept from millions and millions of good Christians down through history and the Middle Ages due to spiritual-political agendas of Rome. The blame for today's "misinterpretation" can fall squarely upon the Christian teachers down through time as well as today who have failed to do adequate study of what they preach and teach whereby they could have begun to see the host of problems surrounding the interpretation of these New Testament texts and the "Jesus Story". The study of Comparative Religion and Gnosticism would have begun to open their eyes that much lies hidden beneath the surface of our "Jesus Story". Thus they, because of their lack of study into these areas, are unwittingly the "blind leading the blind" and we all fall in the ditch of "false beliefs" because they failed to teach these texts properly. But again how could they if they had never seen the evidence which I and so many others are presenting today.
This reference to "house" in John 14:2 is a perfect example in point for it makes perfect sense when made applicable in the story of the Sun. As Paul says at 1 Corinthians 15:41, revealing his Astrotheological thinking: "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory."
Answer for yourself: Did you know before now and reading this article that Paul is teaching you Astrotheology in this and many, many other of his epistles? No; most likely you did not!
In the gospels, Jesus refers to different "Ages," which are in fact the divisions that constitute the Precession of the Equinoxes. As Moses was created to usher in the Age of Aries (Aries, the Age of the Lamb/Ram that replaced the Age of Taurus due to the Precession of the Equinoxes), so was Jesus to serve as the Avatar of the Age of Pisces, which is evident from the abundant fish imagery used throughout the gospel tale (Pisces replaces Aries in the procession of the equinoxes). This Zodiacal connection has been so suppressed that people with the fish symbol on the back of their cars have no idea what it stands for a Constellation, although they are fallaciously told it represents "ICHTHYS," an anagram for "Jesus Christ, Son of god, Savior," when in reality the "ichthys" is the Greek word for fish. On a similar note the residual symbols of the previous Age of Aries can be found in the "Lamb" designations of Jesus, including the "Agnus Dei," or "Lamb of god."
Answer for yourself: And why is this? We find that as one Age end and another begin after each 2,160 years of time there is a period of overlap in this transition. This explains why previous symbolisms carry over into the following Age.
Answer for yourself: Are you aware that the "Jesus" character of the New Testament was well aware of Astronomy and in particular the "Precession of the Equinox"? We need to see this!
Amazingly Jesus speaks about the Astronomical phenomena called the Precession of the Equinox or the change of the Ages (a time period of 2,160 years where a particular Constellation rules the Vernal Equinox) when he says to the disciples, who are asking about how to prepare for the "passover":
"Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him into the house which he enters . . ." (Lk. 22:10)
Answer for yourself: What should we have noticed in the above verse? First of all women, not men, carried water pitchers for this was the work of women and not men. The "male" symbolism is a "key" that we are speaking of the masculine "water bearer" in the Sky connected to the Constellation of Aquarius. This famous yet enigmatic passage refers to the "house" or Age of Aquarius, the "Water-Bearer", and Jesus is instructing his disciples that after his death and the end of the Age they, as his followers, are to "pass-over" into it as well.
The New Testament records for us Jesus' words that he will be with his followers and believers until the "end of the Age".
Matt 28:20 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)
Answer for yourself: Did you notice a problem with the above verse? First of all the word used to which I refer in the above text has been translated as the word "world". Why is this a problem? One only has to look up the word "world" in this verse in a Greek Lexicon to see the glaring error in this text.
1) forever, an unbroken age, perpetuity of time, eternity
2) the worlds, the universe 3) a period of time, an age
As you can see the word does not mean "world" but it a reference to an "Age" or a "period of time in an Age" which again is suggestive of the Precession of the Equinox and the 2,160 years that a particular Constellation rules the Vernal Equinox.
Furthermore, the "upper room" where Jesus sends his disciples to "make ready" is the same "upper chambers in the heavens" found in Amos (Acharys S., The Christ Conspiracy, p. 146).
Where we make our mistakes today in reading these New Testament texts is that we approach these texts not aware that the ancients, including Ancient Christians (Chrestians...Gnostic believers), were well aware of astrology and astronomy. Their influence is evident not only from an enlightened examination of the canonical biblical texts but also from those that did not make the final cut and were not included in the orthodox cannon. For example, the noncaonical Epistle of Barnabas (c. 100-120 C.E.) speaks of a 2,000-year "eon", clearly referring to one of the Equinoctial Ages, and the author of First Clement also expresses his knowledge of astrology, as well as his love for it:
The heavens are moved by His direction and obey Him in peace. Day and night accomplish the course assigned to them by Him, without hindrance one to another. The Sun and the moon and the dancing stars according to His appointment circle in harmony within the bounds assigned to them, without any swerving aside. The earth, bearing fruit in fulfillment of His will at her proper seasons, putteth forth the food that supplieth abundantly both men and beasts and all living things which are thereupon, making no dissension, neither altering anything which He hath decreed. (Acharys S., The Christ Conspiracy, p. 147).
Where we make another mistake today is that we are not aware that the archeological evidence has shown beyond any doubt that the earliest "Christians," often called "Chrestians" were Gnostics, both Jewish and Gentile, and these Gnostics were astrologers and astronomers and their texts are permeated with astrological imagery. The Gnostics developed the ages-old notion that the celestial bodies represented guides and levels through which the soul must pass after death, some paying penance in a temporary hell and others going directly to peace or "heaven." As John Allegro says:
Thus for the Gnostic, as for religionists all over the world, the heavenly bodies were imbued with divinity and honored as angelic bodies (John Allegro, The Sacred Mushroom And The Cross, Doubleday, 1970, p. 112).
The Gnostics also knew the allegorical and Astrotheological nature of the "life of Christ," as admitted by Christian father Irenaeus, and which was at the root of their denial of the "historical" Christ.
Answer for yourself: Did you catch that? A great early Church Father, one credited with the production of the Second New Testament in 180 A.D. which was a response to the Gnostic First New Testament knew as well as did the Gnostics that the "life of Jesus Christ" was "ALLEGORICAL and ASTROTHEOLOGICAL"!
As Lloyd Graham relates in his Deceptions And Myths of the Bible:
Irenaeus said: "The Gnostics truly declared that all the supernatural transactions asserted in the gospels were counterparts of what took place above (in the Sky and Heavens)"(Lloyd Graham, Deceptions and Myths of the Bible, Citadel, 1991, p. 354).
Answer for yourself: Did you hear that? It just so happens that Irenaeus will add large parts to the existing New Testament himself and pen them in the names of the Jewish Apostles and Paul in order to refute the earlier Gnostic understanding of the "Spiritual Christ Within". In so doing Irenaeus gives the world a "fleshly Christ" when before since the beginning of recorded time mankind has known that God and His Karast/Christ "dwelled within man". And all along we thought that the Apostles and Paul wrote the whole of the New Testament; hardly. It is time to study the truth about the origins of the Gentile Christian Faith as well as the texts we read.
The Astrological imagery was the major difference between Gnosticism and later orthodox Christianity and the primary reason the Gnostics were refuted and their texts destroyed or mutilated by later Roman orthodoxy and this went on for 5 centuries. Marcion, himself a Gnostic, and a strong supporter of Paul, whom himself was a Gnostic, gave us the first New Testament which is "Gnostic" through and through and which never taught a "human Christ" or a "historical Jesus". Marcion, himself a Gnostic, was a Pauline supporter and that being so he describes in his writings that Paul was, in his opinion, the ONLY follower of Christ who understood him correctly. On the surface that might seem contradictory; that is until you find out just whom was this "Jesus Christ" especially since the name and Divine Concept of the "Joshua-Jesus/Karast/Christ" can be found as far back as 10,000 B.C.E. in Egypt!
Answer for yourself: Now for a very tough question. If Marcion was a Gnostic and a strong devotee of Paul and who also thought that only Paul understood "the Christ" correctly then could this mean Paul was a Gnostic as well and our unfamiliarity with Gnosticism means we don't spot such Gnostic teachings in the writings and theology of Paul which are later mixed in with other "anti-Gnostic" statements through the interpolations of Roman monks down through the early centuries? It sure does. One only has to look at Romans 7 and see how it contradicts the whole of the Torah and what it teaches in providing mankind a mediator Jesus who is a "Mithra copy". The authentic Paul in his original 7 epistles teaches only pure Gnosticism. But again Paul and the "Paul Problem" we must save for later.
There are many references to astrology in the canonical scriptures that are not as clear as those examined herein. What is clear is that the Hebrews and Essene Christians were no more "astrology-free" than any of their contemporaries or predecessors, although said predecessors, such as the Chaldeans and Babylonians, were in general far more skilled and Gnostic in the astrological arts. Indeed, Karl Anderson, master navigator and author of Astrology in the Old Testament, calls the Bible "that greatest of all astrological works. . ." (Karl Anderson, Astrology of the Old Testament, Health Research, 1970, p. 10).
Jordan Maxwell concurs:
The bible is nothing more than the greatest astrological, astronomical story ever told. It is pure astrology, based on the zodiac. The fact of the matter is, if you've done your homework, you're going to find out that the Bible is nothing more than Astrotheology, the worship of god's heaven ("The Naked Truth: video series, IRES, 1990).
Because of this hidden secret in the Bible and the "Jesus Story" the study of Astrology has been made to appear as "the work of the Devil" by Rome when in fact properly understood it reveals God and His will and message to mankind like no other revelation today. Astrology is no more "evil" than are the Sky and the heavenly bodies, which biblical writers claimed were divine emanations of the Grand Architect. The condemnation of all astrology is not merely a sign of ignorance but, by insisting that its adherents were either lacking in wisdom or led astray by the devil is foolish once you begin to study these disciplines for yourself.
Understand this in closing; there exists a progressive revelation of God and this has come during the various Ages where God reveled Himself and "His Christ" in new and successive ways. In the Age of Aries God and His Christ was symbolized by a lamb/ram, in the Age of Taurus by a bull, and in the age of Pisces as "two fish". Without detailed study this might not seem important but let me assure you that it goes way beyond such simple associations for literally the host of our religious beliefs and doctrines that we hold and cherish today have come from the Ancients observation of the path of the Sun through the Zodiac and the Heavens. Understanding this helps us see that God has always had only "one message" and "one religion" where today the world is filled with countless "religions" each professing to be the "only way" to God. History is full of the blood of countless numbers of good people who would not convert to such programs adopted by the ignorance of mankind. It is time we cut through the confusion and the chaos that is associated with religions in the world and see what God has spoken consistently from Heaven since time has begun and continues to say today as He has since the beginning of creation. Truly God's message is in the Sky and Heavens and a proper name for it would be "the Theology in the Sky".
With the dawning of the Age of Aquarius God will again reinterpret for mankind Himself in a new and deeper revelation along with His Christ. We should know more about the Creator God today than ever before and we have the opportunity to do so if we listen to Him instead of countless others down through history who meant well but blurred the picture of God given to the world. Primitive man long before the emergence of organized world religions saw the handiwork of the Creator in the Sky and Heavens and understood His message like few since. Their voices and the message of God as they understood it has laid silent to most down through thousands of years of history until now. With the advancement of the science of archeology and the information age mankind has the opportunity and ability today like never before to recover the true Message of God as understood by the Ancients who coined these "religious beliefs" in the first place. No longer do we have to fall prey to their "reinterpretation" whereby they lose their original intended meanings. We can today, as did the Spiritual Masters of yesterday, both recognize and hear God's message to us today like the Ancients thousands of years ago which were first to see and understand this Great Creator as He spoke from His Heavens to all mankind and related His message to all mankind.
Ps 19:1-2 1 The heavens declare the glory of god; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. (KJV)
Primitive man saw in these heavens that God did three things:
He sustained He destroyed
Primitive man was able to make the same correlations in nature as well as in his own life and body. Primitive man saw that what happened in the Heavens which God was doing impacted upon Mother Nature and the seasons and the growing cycles. Food or famine came and went; it came with the Sun and Spring and Summer and went with Autumn and Winter. Over time mankind came to understand that this Creator God both created, sustained, and destroyed both in the Heavens and Mother Nature as well. The Sun and seasonal changes brought life or death to mankind; feast or famine. The Sun and the Heavens impacted secondarily Mother Nature and this affected the food chain. As man began to grow in knowledge about his own body then over time man saw in his own body the same correlations to these same cyclical events that occurred in the Heavens and Nature; he was born, he lived, and he died. Man recognized that as the moon had a 28 day cycle the woman of his species had a 28 day menses; thus mankind was able to see the same events going on in his own body that was likewise going on above his head in the Sky and Heavens and around him in Nature. In parallel ways man saw and realized that what God was doing in the Heavens being He was doing around him in Nature as well as in his own body. This he understood was the ONLY picture of God that he had and this picture spoke volumes to Ancient mankind. This was understood as God speaking to mankind of these Spiritual realities and within each of them we find today "religious doctrines" which we cherish in both Judaism and Christianity. Likewise God was truly the Creator, Sustainer, and Destroyer. Thus man reasoned that he was created in the image of God as seen in the Heavens and Nature. This is all it took for man to "personify" such events he observed in the Heavens, Nature, and his body and he did so through the medium of "allegory, myth, and legend" and captured these Divine truths and processes observed in the Sky and Heavens and in Nature through the vehicle of his "sungods".
Some of these personifications and anthropomorphic depictions are harmless and teach God's Divine and Cosmic Truth when understood in an "allegorical" way as explained before in this as well as previous articles. However, when such allegory is "made literal" and the personifications are no longer a "picture" or "symbol" but have become "literal" then mankind strays into idolatry and blasphemy of the Creator when he makes his own gods or applies such truths to a man or "godman" which is presented as if real to the readers. Regardless if innocent as have been done with Osiris and countless others and today with Yeshua/Jesus the results are the same; namely, a man is made equal with God. This has been done in Western Christianity by the Hellenized Essenes and the Greek Fathers as they both rejected normative Judaism and in so doing treat the Ancient "allegories" and "myths" as if "literal. Add to this the falsification of the Hebrew Scriptures where many things were written into the Jewish Bible where they are today taught to be taken literally by the reader and applied to the Messiah and later to Jesus when in fact the truth warrants no such interpretation. Thus "the Christ", expressed through the allegorical depiction of Jesus becomes equal with God and we are taught as children to worship him, sing and pray to him. All this is done because we are taught to interpret the "Jesus Story" as if a literal-history when study of Comparative Religion and Gnosticism will show you that the life of Jesus in the New Testament is nothing more than the personification of the Sun and its path through the Zodiac and Sky and Heavens. Your search for truth can begin in tonight's Sky as all world religions came from there one way or the other.
It is my hope as Pastor of Bet Emet to enlighten you; at least to stimulate your own study in order that you see these things for yourself in hope that your worship of the Creator be in Spirit and Truth.
It is to such an endeavor we now continually turn. I pray you have the courage to look into this information. I tell all our students to "believe nothing" I teach but gather the information and access it in 6 months and then step back and revaluate what you have seen over the prior 6 months of your study. Then and only then make any necessary adjustments to your "religious belief system" and then enter again into another 6 months of serious study and repeat the cycle. I promise you that over time you will see the truth of God like never before.
Answer for yourself: What are some of the areas of the "Jesus Story" that we will study in the following articles and in so doing discover are not "historical-literal" events in the assumed life of a Jewish Rabbi in the first century but rather "allegories" and "personifications" of the path of the Sun through the Zodiac?
The sun "dies" for three days at the winter solstice, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th.
The sun of God is "born of a virgin," which refers to both the new or "virgin" moon and the constellation of Virgo. The sun's "birth" is attended by the "bright Star," either Sirius/Sothis or the planet Venus, and by the "Three Kings," representing the three stars in the belt of Orion. The sun at its zenith, or 12 noon, is in the house or heavenly temple of the "Most High"; thus, "he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12. Maxwell relates, "At that point, all Egypt offered prayers to the "Most High" God!" (Leedom, Tim, ed.,The Book Your Church Doesn't Want You To Read, Kendall/Hunt, 1993, p. 23). The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 300; hence, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30. As Hazelrigg states, ". . . the Sun of the visible heavens has moved northward 300 and stands at the gate of Aquarius, the Water-bearer, or John the Baptist of the mystic planisphere, and here begins the work of ministry in the Palestine" (Hazelrigg, John, The Sun Book, Health Research, 1971, p. 163). The sun is the "Carpenter" who builds his daily "houses" or 12 two-hour divisions. The sun's "followers" or "disciples" are the 12 signs of the zodiac, through which the sun must pass. The sun is "anointed" when its rays dip into the sea. (Anderson, Karl, Astrology Of The Old Testament, Health Research, 1970, p. 206). The sun "changes water into wine" by creating rain, ripening the grape on the vine and fermenting the grape juice. The sun "walks on water," referring to its reflection. (Massey, Gerald, The Historical Jesus And The Mythical Christ, Health Research, p. 21). The sun "calms the sea" as he rests in the "boat of heaven." (Leedom, Tim, ed., The Book Your Church Doesn't Want You To Read, Kendall/Hunt, 1993, p. 27). (Mt. 8:23-7) When the sun is annually and monthly re-born, he brings life to the "solar mummy," his previous self, raising it from the dead. The sun triumphantly "rides an ass and her foal" into the "City of Peace" when it enters the sign of Cancer, which contains two stars called "little asses," and reaches its fullness. (Pike, Albert, The Morals and Dogma of Scottish Free Masonry, LH Jenkins, 1928, p. 465). The sun is the "Lion" when in Leo, the hottest time of the year, called the "throne of the Lord." The sun is "betrayed" by the constellation of the Scorpion, the backbiter, the time of the year when the solar hero loses his strength. The sun is "crucified" between the two thieves of Sagittarius and Capricorn. The sun is hung on a cross, which represents its passing through the equinoxes, the vernal equinox being Easter. The sun darkens when it "dies": "The solar god as the sun of evening or of autumn was the suffering, dying sun, or the dead sun buried in the nether world. (Massey, Gerald,The Egyptian Book of the Dead, Health Research, p. 9). The sun does a "stutter-step" at the winter solstice, unsure whether to return to life or "resurrect," doubted by his "twin" Thomas. The sun is with us "always, to the close of the age" (Mt. 28:20), referring to the ages of the precession of the equinoxes. The sun is the "Light of the World," and "comes on clouds, and every eye shall see him." The sun rising in the morning is the "Savior of mankind." The sun wears a corona, "crown of thorns" or halo. The sun was called the "Son of the Sky (God)," "All- Seeing," the "Comforter," "Healer," "Savior," "Creator," "Preserver," "Ruler of the World," and "Giver of Daily Life." (Doane, T.W.,Bible Myths And Their Parallels In Other Religions, Health Research, 1985, p. 472, 476, 492, 562). The sun is the Word or Logos of God. The all-seeing sun, or "eye of God," was considered the judge of the living and dead who returned to Earth "on a white horse." (Doane, T.W., Bible Myths And Their Parallels In Other Religions, Health Research, 1985, pp. 497-498).
Answer for yourself: Is this summary the extent of the personification of the Sun in the life of Jesus as found in the "Jesus Story"? No. It only begins here. For a more comprehensive account see the contrasts between the life of Horus and Jesus Christ.
Let us not die in ignorance as idolators and blasphemers and meet God with such hideous sin in our lives because we never studied enough to discern the "truth from fiction". It is time for our personal Exodus from the untruths associated with the "Jesus Story" of the New Testament.
