  1. I was surfing the web about the Iraq Dinar and found this interesting article about the Dinar. The site is Forex Trading Sytems. I am not sure if this is an official Forex site, but if it is it is encouraging. This may have already been posted. If so I apologize. http://forextradersystem.com/iraqi-dinar-revaluation-projections-for-the-future/
  2. I did hear the audio, but my interpretation was the first PART of June. I didn't automatically assume his words to mean JUNE 1 specifically.
  3. Actually, I thought this was a FOREX site. Afterall, the addres sis forex.tradingcharts.com. If I have directed to an unauthorized forex site, I aplogize. This site was given to me shortly after investing in Oct. '10
  4. Beachdreaming, there has never been four places after the decimal point. And if I am remembering correctly there has never been a number after the decimal point except the number 0, I was going to check one more time before bed, Iwas so tired. Now, I am wide awake! LOL
  5. What's up with Forex? Thought I would check one more time tonight and about shouted. Look there are four decimal places and partial (less than one) exchange rates for the IQD http://www.forex.tradingcharts.com/quotes/index.php?sym=usdiqd&Submit=Go&tz=GMT
  6. I have only been invested in the Iraq Dinar since November 2010. Shortly thereafter, I found this site and have monitored it almost daily and have made just a few posts. I don't recall as much confusion as I have seen the last couple of weeks. I remember when I first invested I either read a posting or heard a fellow investor say, "Shortly before the revalation, there will be a lot of confusion and misdirection". That stood out in my mind. Now, I am wondering if that is exactly what is going on. Would love to hear Adam's take on this. Possibly, he has and I have missed it. If so, I apologize. Please, mods, if I have posted this under the incorrect section, I am sorry and please move to the appropriate area.
  7. DaveJen, a new law, which just came into effect a few months ago, gives FDIC protection on any non-interest bearing account on an unlimited amount of deposited money. There is no cap on protection.
  8. Detroit, I agree with you, I think LOL. Right now my mind is spinning from all this. I really believe this article implies that a redomination also includes the removal of the zeroes from the exchange rate as well. So we would be able to turn in our three zero currency at the new exchange rate of .86, which interprets $1.16 per dinar. I think many of us have been and continue to look at this one dimentionally. It really is fascinating to hear everyone's thoughts, but I think we are all going to be surprised when all this comes down. The link I posted really is very informative.
  9. I confess my ignorance here, but just asking. If a person holds one million IQD and redenomination should happen and now one IQD becomes as valuable as 1000 IQD before the redomination. So, I cash in my one million IQD and recieve $1,000,000.00. I am laughing to myself because I am having a little difficulty expressing my thoughts in my native language and I think I can comprehend the meaning of something that has been translated from another language.
  10. Keep, If I am reading this correctly, the I raq Dinar would have basically a one to one revalue upon a redomination. For instance if three zeroes are removed a 1000 note IQD would become a 1 Dinar note. But according to this guy after the redomination the 1 IQD note would retain the value of the old 1000 Dinar note. Since currently 1 USD purchases purchases 1160 Dinars after the redomination 1 USD would purchase 1.160 Iraq Dinars, so we would be looking at a revaluation of basically one IQD equaling 1 USD. This article is a long read, but that is the understanding of what I read. I am not saying absolutely, but that is what I deduct. So, if we have a million IQD we could exchange our IQD for approximately one million USD. I confess my igmorance, but that what it seems this article is saying.
  11. I hope I am posting this under the proper forum. With all the banterring back and forth about "LOP" or no "LOP" I simply started trying to find anything that could help me understand all of this. I came across this VERY intereting and informative article. It is a long read and I am still rereading and digesting, but from what I am gathering from this is that a redomination is not a bad thing for us. If I understand what I am reading the value moves along with removing of the zeroes. For instance 1 Dinar will have the same value of one thousand dinar when the redomination happens. So in essence the removal of the three zeroes Is a revaluation. Currently, 1USD equals approximately 1000 IQD (I am just rounding it for demonstration purposes). If the three zeroes are lifted then 1USD will equal 1IQD. Please, read this. It will take a while. http://www.unc.edu/~lmosley/APSA%202005.pdf
  12. I think everyone's frustration, including mine, was not the fact Ali said the dinar was a long term investment. I believe most of us are aware this has been and is a long term investment. Most everyone knows the dinar could do one of two things; it could increase in value slowly and steadily as the economy of Iraq grew or the dinar could have an instantaneous RV or RI. There is no question Ali has always inferred there would be an instantaneous RV/RI, now he says no instantaneous revaluation. I have only listened to one conference call and Ali was a guest. He even talked about the fact that Dinar Trade had access to an armored truck to transport physical gold if someone wanted to cash in for gold after the RV. (This was before the new regulation about gold) Does anyone else remember that conversation? I believe that is the point of frustration for everyone. It is not that people are ignorant of the ways the dinar could increase in value nor the fact this is long term. They are frustrated because they feel misled by someone they felt they could trust. It would have been different if Ali had not sounded like you were a moron if you ever believed there would be an instataneous revaluation. He could have said until this point I have felt there would be an instataneous revaluation, but now I believe it will be a slow, steady growth of the dinar. Just my thoughts.
  13. Please forgive me, but I need to "vent some steam". I am really so angry I can't sit still. Allow me to preface what I am going to say with some importatnt things about myself. 1. I have only been invested in the Dinar for about six months. 2. At the time of my decision to purchase dinars I knew that a gradual increase in value was a real possibility 3. I also knew an RV/RI was a possibility as well. Within a few days of purchasing dinars I became aware of an upcoming conference call and Ali was going to be a guest. Since I wanted to learn all I could I decided to listen into the call. When Ali was introduced I waited with great anticipation to hear what he had to say. I was impressed with his professionalism and his openness in talking about his faith. During his time of sharing, I KNOW he said the dinar WOULD revalue. He did NOT give a rate or a date, but he DEFINITELY inferred there would be an instantaneous revalue of the currency. HE DID NOT INFER IT WOULD BE GRADUAL. He went on to say that two weeks after the revalue he would have a number of offices throughout the country to handle the flux of people wanting to cash in. While he technically did not did not say it would not be a progressive revalue, he DEFINITELY led people to believe we would see an instantaneous revalue. I KNOW WHAT I HEARD, I am in long term and still will be content making SOME money on this investment, but I will definitely cash in at a bank even it the spread is fifty percent, I WILL NOT put another penney in his pocket. Now, I'm going to have a cigarette and try to calm down. I can't stand decievers!
  14. Deenar, I am saying a prayer for you as well. I had the same scare in the 90's, but turned out to be nothing. I know how you are feeling right now. If it is cancer, testicular cancer has a very high survivable rate and is very treatable. Since my scare I found out I had kidney cancer in 2008 and had my kidney removed. I am doing just fine. I share this because kidney cancer is one of the worst types you can get, but I have overcome it by God's grace and want you to be encouraged. Be encouraged, my friend!
  15. vrnorth, What I was looking at was the far right column. I understand that is the time of the update. I noticed UDS/IQD update time was the same as the other currencies and the time keeps updating.
  16. I'm sorry if this question has been addressed. I must have missed something, but I noticed the IQD is live on Forex. I don't remember that being the case a few months ago. http://www.forexpros.com/quotes/single-currency-crosses
  17. Thanks, littlejoe. If you ever want to chat, I'd be happy to do so.
  18. Capike, Here is the way I see things. If you are right and God, heaven, hell, miracles are not real, what have I lost as a believer in Jesus Christ? But, if I am right and God does exist, there is a heaven, a hell, miracles, etc. what have you lost? God bless you, my friend.
  19. No, I didn't and don't plan to buy more. I am sure I am a lightweight (in amount invested) compared to most from this site, but I am comfortable with the amount I have invested.
  20. I want to preface what I am going to share with you. This is not about a date nor a rate. I just want to share an encouraging telephone call I received from my sister this evening. I have only been invested in the IQD for about four months. I shared with my sister and she invested as well. She called me this evening to share her experience with the banker she and my brother in law are working with to refinance their home. While in the banker's office this afternoon, my brother-in-law asked the banker if he was aware of or knew anything about the IQD. It turned out he is invested and encourages his clients to do so as well. He said he did not know when it would happen, but he said he was certain it would revalue. He encouraged my sister and brother-in-law to just be patient and it will eventually pay off. Needless to say she was encouraged and so was I when she told me about the conversation. By the way, she lives in the Chicago area. For all the POUNCERS; no link. LOL Many times I think the POUNCERS are worse than the PUMPERS.
  21. I came across this article about the importance of foreign currency investments. Thought it was interesting. http://www.personalliberty.com/asset-and-wealth-protection/preserving-wealth/structural-money-devaluation-in-the-west/?eiid=&rmid=2011_02_17_PLA_[PI110217]&rrid=238520242
  22. Thanks, Champies. I understand everyone's cynacism, but to be called a liar when you know you are telling the truth is frustrating. Seems like there are many strange things happening with the banks and the Iraq Dinar.
  23. Aston82, I assure you, no BS, no lies. I understand your cynicism, but I assure you this truly did happen. Anyway, it really doesn't matter. Have a great evening. Crosbone that is correct.
  24. Fortytwo, that was National City that was bought by PNC.
