Ministry calls for U.N. support 10/12/2011 10:21 BAGHDAD, Dec. 10 (AKnews) - Iraqi Planning Ministry has officially asked for the United Nations Economic Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) to send international experts to aid the Ministry. Speaking to AKnews Ali Shukri, the Minister, said: "Iraq does not need funds but help with planning the services and developmental projects." Proposed Iraqi budget for 2012 has reached $100 billion USD (116,500 billion IQD), with a deficit of $13.5 billion USD (15,500 billion IQD). Well said...'I to have owned IQD since 2004 and have thought it would hit many times already, especially since I have a banking background ( with Chase Bank) I have seen the highest mountain go to the lowest valley and I have been disappointed a time or two. As far as you statement "live your lives as if you dont own dinar, when it happens you will know," if every one lived this way there would not be so much disappointment.

Look when I worked for Chase bank in 2006 we had these machines and yes I knew how to use them then. These are not new state of the art machines you put the bills in the top of the machine, it counts the denomination and either puts it in the top rejection tray or puts it to the valid stack on the bottom

I don't think you would be able to open a Roth IRA account in Iraq as a US citizen. Are Distributions Taxable? You do not include in your gross income qualified distributions or distributions that are a return of your regular contributions from your Roth IRA(s). As long as they are the new IQD dinars (the ones with out Sadams picture) cash is cash you will be able to exchange them.

What did the USA do.... At one time we had larger notes and now the largest in circulation is what 100.00, if you had a 500 or 1000 or 10000 USD you could still go to the bank and cash it in. Why because it a dollar... The dinar is a dinar just different denomination. They would have to create a new currency for our 25 k notes not to be worth anything. Just like when the phased out the old Sadam IQD.
