  1. I know we will be there next year. Picking up a car at the factory and will be driving to Montreux, perhaps we can meet then. We will be stying right in Montreux for about ten days
  2. Wow! if I lived in northern Italy I would never miss a concert. We use to pass through Trent on our way south from tyrol, on our was to san marino and then on to rimini! The sometime in thenearly spring we would always ski the glaciers in the swiss alps right around easter. you have a lovely country
  3. For 15 of those years I lived in Europe and made a lot of jazz loving friends. My wife and I go for about two weeks in the summer and renew friendships, listen to some good music and of course the ladies always find sometime during the day to do some shopping. If you have never been its worth the trip. Concerts are in the evening, but then there are the impromptu concerts that happen in the various clubs after the concerts. During the day Jazz happens in the various outdoor venues and then there is always Breakfast just around the lake in France.
  4. I was at that concert. I have been returning to the montreux Jazz Festival every year since my first time in 1972. I've missed a couple of years but a regular visitor and I always stay at the Swisse Hotel Majestic which I highly recommend. Joe Sample is a fantastic pianist, You might want to check ou this one by a group of young men at tnhe time " Pieces of a Dream " The shadow of your smile :
  5. Joe Sample is one of my favorite piano players, and then Playing with the Crusaders it dosen't get any better than that!
  6. Sit back and relax. This is one of the bast jazz versions of this tune. Enjoy Jazz
  7. Do some research, buy yousrself a used motor home and go see for yourself. After you find that spot you can always sell or keep the RV
  8. Today I was fortunate to attend a ROTC function at my daughters University afterwards a couple of us vets started talking and soon the conversation got around to the captain bars and specialist six (most proud of being enlisted) pins on my baseball cap and then the medals attached. I then shared with them my own 20 year Veterans "Month" tribute. I wear My Medals in TRIBUTE to those who gave their Lives and cannot wear theirs. During the month of November, join me inpaying tribute to a fallen brother, lord knows there are a lot of them. thanks Jazz
  9. You know..... I read this the other day. and. probably just read it and kept going. Today my wet saw died! .... went on a search for another one and, stopped in harbour freight. first and last time. They don't have one product in that big azzzz store that wasn't made in china, Not even the AMERICAN FLAG !!! also made in china! thats the ''ultimate'' out-source I will not knowingly by chinese products......even if I have to pay more! just saying
  10. I appologize for this rant.... I read this article and was so pizzzzzzed off. and I suppose my fingers couldn't keep up with my thoughts. but.... you know what I mean!
  11. ]My address for a portion of this article ....... Who in that think tank is willing to volunteer for serve their counry for twemty pr thirty years? . Service people protect this country, they put their lives on the line every day.......in combat there are no days off .....more often than not, no hot meals on a regular basis ..... things that these stuffed shirts take for granted....., hot shower at night to wash away the dirt of the day, sliding into some fresh crisp sheets! When the fine young men and women sign up and write a blank check to the people of this country for up to and including their lives, the when they get on the 1 yard line, you want to move the goal post? These brave men and women deserve to get everything they signed up for. This short sighted thinking creates creates an environment where, if you are considering a military career, you not have to read the smail print on your enlistment contract.I submit...whith that being said, you want all this while some of these very people serve and also qualify for food stamps. These men and women have no control on where they are deployed, how long they stay there, they have no choices in the matter. Now after their service, you want to RATION their medical attention???? WHO ARE THESE FOLKS.?????????? Obvious to me... they have never served! We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm. -Winston Churchill im done now!
  12. You just have to look a little harder. shopping at walmart is not the solution
  13. I would say, if we checked the labels and rejected any product made in China.... the problem would self correct it self
  14. or ............. it could be that while they say they are just replacing worn or damaged bills. what precludes them from replacing large denominations at the same time? Theycould just as easily replace large denom's at the same time, assuming the have enough small denoms to replace them with, just saying
  15. I do know something this administration has accomplished.......Jus ask any Agent Orange exposed Vietnam Vet!
  16. You or I would still be in jail if we tried this. I agree that sometimes TSA is far overreaching, that said.....I think I would prefer a minor inconvenience than a shoe bomber sitting next to me at an altitude that's not conducive to jumping without a chute! I wish I could have seen that fight.... Go Granny!
  17. reading is fundamental.....IF......you had read mynoriginal post you would not have made this comment..However, AMy education is a matter of public record.... perhaps you made up your ability to comprehend. just saying
  18. These poll's are all over the place. Glad I've already voted
  19. are you blind???? did i say I supported obama? you said that not me. you are su busy tryig to put folks in a box that you fail to read. just jump to conclusions.
