Yep, we're all 5 year olds that Adam needs to protect. NOT! The ONLY reason he has the policy in place is to protect his business interests, which is 100% OK because it's his site. Why would he want to send people elsewhere? The only issue I have with it is that it's completely disingenuous to state that he's doing it for our (and his) protection. That's complete BS. Why not be honest about it? Trying to keep people on a site you've spent hours of your time on and a lot of money to get people to visit isn't a bad thing, but being less than truthful as to why you employ the policies you employ is. For our protection?

Seems to me TK was far from the only one who said things were going to be happening today. I seem to remember a former member that is held in VERY high regard here saying he on his now DELETED CC that he thought it was going to happen "TONIGHT!" and that TK wasn't far off with his $9 prediction! He said TK was within a 1/2 hour of his prediction coming true. And before anyone says I misunderstood, I DIDN'T misunderstand. I heard him say both. Hey, I think TK is an idiot. But before people light into him too much, just remember that our esteemed former member that has a new wife (How many times do we need to here that?!) said did the SAME THING the other night. It's like hey, lay off me because I've got a new wife! Big deal! We've been hearing it for TWO WEEKS! You want REAL information about this investment? Check out the BH cc. That's REAL information. Not this crap about I know someone over there that works for me or that I'm going to make some phone calls and let you all know what I find out later on tonight and then never post the information. Or, how about I'm going to IRAQ to get to the bottom of this! And then make up some BS story about having to change your will, so you can't go? Come on! What a joke.

I don't know what you are referring to. Are you saying you aren't happy with the content of the call at that point, or are you saying the audio craps out? I just downloaded from the corrected link I provided above and the call plays through to the end. if you are talking about the content going in the toilet, would you care to expound on this? The lack of infrastructure was being discussed at that time. Are you saying the speaker didn't know what he was speaking about? That this fact would mean the RV is a long way off? Sure would be nice if you could expound a bit. Thanks

That rule applies to those who exchange a nominal amount of currency, as when visiting a country. It does not apply in our case. It's been stated over and over again in this forum and others that any gains from a currency revaluation such as this one would be treated as straight income. Nothing to do with capital gains. But if anyone here is taking the advice from some unknown person online that you know only by Ambush A Gorilla or Thank A Vet, etc., they are asking for trouble. The first three things you want to do upon an RV of a substantial nature: 1. Contact a Tax Attorney in your area that is familiar with this type of transaction. 2. Contact an investment planner. 3. Contact a CPA. There are so many things you can do to put you in a better position in terms of taxes and long term wealth generation / protection, you'd be a fool not to consult professionals in each of these fields. You could end up costing yourself a ton of money without the correct advice. Listen to what these three people have to say and ask plenty of questions. And don't forget to either get a will prepared or to update your current will. No will = potential HUGE PROBLEMS for your kids / loved ones when you die. There are ways to set up your estate so that your family gets significantly more of your $$ when you die. Fail to do this and Uncle Sam will get far more than he has to. And while you are preparing for the days you'll no longer be here, do family a favor and get long term care insurance coverage so that your new found fortune doesn't get wiped out in a potential years long stay in an assisted care / nursing home facility. Medicare won't kick in until ALL of your money is gone. DON'T GO IT ALONE ON THIS. GET THE PROFESSIONAL HELP YOU NEED TO ENSURE YOUR WEALTH IS PROTECTED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

Best to stay grounded this week. We've all been down this road before. Hopes go SKY HIGH only to end up with crabs and ice water. It's sure hard to do.

$12.61 I found it interesting that on the call last night, one of the guys said that TK (and I believe Okie as well) were actually very close in their numbers and only 30 minutes away from it happening at one point. That was certainly a bit odd to hear those guys give credibility to those two....

Don't see how Check & Steve would come back now. They've already stated they are done. Why waste their time in a place where their efforts are not appreciated by the owner of the site? I don't think there is any question that those two were responsible for BRINGING people to the site, not driving them away. What kind of "businessman" runs his business in such a way that discourages people that attract others to their business? Furthermore, Check promoted his $49 a month VIP package! They've been down this road once before. Adam knows the intentions of Check, SteveI, etal ARE NOT nefarious. Why wouldn't the mod who deleted the thread take the time to contact Adam and ask him his thoughts before he pulled it down? Do you really think that these guys were up to no good after they already had a positive / non commercial CC in the past? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Adam now has a black eye and has likely lost plenty of re-ups in the VIP program. I was going to buy in, but not anymore if the guy runs his business in this fashion. Will it be my loss? Perhaps, but I just don't like doing business with short minded people. I think I'll be just fine with my own investment planner, Tax Attorney and CPA post RV.
