  1. Where would you recommend to shop at if you want never before eaten Cherries? Maybe we could go together....just saying.
  2. Yes, I believe in him...pretty sure he lives in the flat above me...and he must be married to the Elephant woman from the sound of it.
  3. That scene was taken at a ski resort in Colorado...a large avalanche was headed down the valley, a skier (with his ski mask still on) grabbed that lady in order to save her from being covered over by the snow hurdling down. But unfortunately, she was "packing" and took things into her own hands, assuming the worse....and killed our hero She would have gotten 25 years for 2nd degree murder had she lived, but shortly after the filming stopped, she was wiped off the planet by the snow. Bummer...but I guess justice was served by Mother Nature. And yes, I am being facetious!
  4. Yes...spoke to my father this morning, who is a one star in the AF....things are heating up with the bombing of the Iran nuke scientist, they are expecting Iran to do something stupid like launch a missile at Israel.
  5. WOW...and I mean WOW...a very powerful clip! I'm one of the more liberal minded types on this site, so not sure how others will feel when they watch this...but sometimes the truth hurts...and must be spoken. Thank you for having the kahunas to post it! Phil D's intelligence is only over shadowed by his integrity. I'd marry him in a heartbeat. O'R is so aggressive and loud, I don't understand how anyone can stand to listen to the guy....not saying he isn't smart or knowledgable...but the way he treats those who don't agree with him is the epitome of rude behavior. Again...Thanks for posting rich!
  6. Sweetie...I have 1600% more interest in my profile than you (over 50K)...when you have have something of interest that borders on intelligence, you come back and post something....until then pls keep your neanderthal knuckle dragging, lop ear, opinions to yourself and we all will be better off for it luv. Or as my British ancestry would say...****.
  7. Oh, I get it...All G A Y Babby killers are Democrates. OMG...that is so funny!
  8. Mickey mouse visits a divorce attorney and tell him he wants a divorce from Minnie. The lawyer, rather shocked that such a famous couple would want to call it quits, asked to know the details outlining the marriage breakup. After hearing Mickey’s explanation he says, “Mr. Mouse, it is a tragedy that you want to end your marriage…and really, I think we would have a very difficult case to plead before the divorce courts…as you can’t divorce Mrs. Mouse simply because you think she is “Damn Crazy”. Mickey stands ups, leans over the desk and gets in the lawyers face..and responses, “You weren’t listening to what I said,.... I didn’t say I wanted a divorce from Minnie because she was “damn crazy”.... I told you, I want a divorce from Minnie because she is F ing Goofy!”
  9. Wow…what a variety of responses. And yes, I love diving into the human psyche….death, betrayal, war…all the good stuff. As some of you know, I spent 4 years of my life working as a waitress at a Gentleman’s Club…one in Canada and one in Colorado, while attending college. We had a variety of customers, but during the different shifts, you normally ran into two distinctively different types. During the night, usually young guys that thought a strip club was a prostitute haven and they could get “lucky” if they just looked good and maybe flashed some cash. They seldom got luck. However, during the day, we would get the “mid-lifers”, usually +40 customers, successful, married and very lonely. Smee’s insight mirrors their lives perfectly (how does she know so much!!!). They were successful businessmen or professionals (lots of lawyers and doctors) but the one place they weren’t successful was at home. Their lives were empty. Their wives, while loving, seldom listen to them or were appreciate when they bought them that new lexus…as they had grown complacent with their lifestyle. These men would show up each week, like clock work….and be absolutely swarmed with pretty young things. Many of them told me they felt like the “high school quarterback” when they entered this “Cheers” atmosphere. They were someone…like reliving their glory days…or how they wished they would have been. And the money flowed…everyone was happy…the girls made money, the guys were shown a LOT of attention …and as they became “regulars” they got their pick of pretty girls and could pretty much take part in any activity they wanted in or out of the club. I don't see it as Satan work...I see it as human beings doing what makes them feel good...especially wanted. That's not all bad, you know. Tampa...I think Smee answered your question perfectly. Just because I prefer an "alternate lifestyle" doesn’t mean that I hate guys. Far from it, in fact some of my best friends on this site are older Gents that I’m very fond of. Friendship has no restrictions…it just IS!
  10. Love it...and believe me...it's actually very close to reality!
  11. Evolution Psychology would predict this. Women instinctively want two things out of a mate: good genes and a good provider. So why go out and test an unproven market (single guys)…when all you have to do is go after a test driven model (married). Personally, I have found this to be very true…my single GFs MUCH prefer a guy in a relationship than one that isn’t. And I thought it a bit odd that while men prefer having sexual relationships with as many women as they can; they want to settle down with someone that hasn’t been around (much). Double Standards!!!!! While women actually don’t seem to mind a man that has been "around", as they believe they can change him. And they especially like going after one that is currently in a committed relationship. No wander why the two sexes can’t understand each other!
  12. Women And Mate Poaching Published on January 10, 2012 by John R. Buri, Ph.D. in Love Bytes Are you currently in love? Let me ask you --- how interested would an unattached female be in poaching your current love interest? Or putting the shoe on the other foot, if you are not currently in a relationship, how interested would you be in poaching another woman's boyfriend? It turns out that single women are particularly interested in men who are already in a committed relationship --- they seem to have a distinct preference for mate poaching (much more so than single men). When presented bio information along with a photo of a relatively attractive man, fewer than 60% of the women surveyed were interested in pursuing this man if he was NOT currently attached. But if this man was already in a committed romantic relationship, 90% of the single women expressed a strong desire to pursue him. 90%! [bTW: There was not a similar preference among men for attached women over unattached ones.] Women --- hang onto your man. There is a good chance that someone is out there waiting for an opportunity to snag him. When asked why they were particularly attracted to attached men, single women responded: - "Revenge - what goes around comes around" - "To see if I can - I love a good challenge" - "It's exciting - you're in the hunt" - "Because I can - and once I do, it's an ego boost" - "Because he's already been tested - he's pre-approved" Real sweethearts, huh? Remember - 90%! Don't you just want to yell: "Go find your own relationship." Bottom line: research has revealed that poachers rate low in reliability, low in good-heartedness, and low in relationship fidelity. So if you are looking for a temporary burst of excitement that might also stroke your ego, go ahead - screw over some unsuspecting woman who is already in a relationship. After all, isn't that what she deserves if she is that naïve? But if you are looking for a stable, healthy, long-term love relationship, be forewarned --- if you poached your man to begin with, guess what - if you were able to poach him, then there is a good chance that he is poachable again. 13. Reminds me of two stories from my college law classes. My law professor said that if someone breaks in and you shoot them but they make it outside and then collapse dead...you should drag the body back in the house...as deadly force within the house is allowable under self-defense, but if it appears that you may have shot him outside your house then it involuntary manslaughter. Secondly, he said that if you ever accidently run over someone, stop your car immediately, and if they aren't dead, then back over them. He was of course being facetious but the point he was making was that if someone is dead, then their family can of course sue you…but for only a “set amount” usually determined by law and covered by auto insurance. But if you merely handicap them, the person can sue you for pain and suffering, loss of income etc that will basically send you to the poor house. Case in point: We had a family friend that got hit by a car…but it wasn’t the drivers fault, the friend was drunk and walked out into traffic. The friend ended up being a paraplegic. He was a very upstanding person….but the medical bills went thru the roof and his attorney said the only way he could afford treatment was to sue the driver and collect money from the insurance company. Which he eventually did. He still ended up going bankrupt and losing his house. A few years later he died from infected bed sores because he couldn’t afford a private nurse anymore. It was a very sad case all around.
  14. Heavy, I agree for the most part of what you wrote. From everything I've researched, Ron Paul is the person with the highest integrity, no argument there. The two points that I have concerns with, that you listed include: • wants to return to the Gold standard to back our money • believes the fed reserve is more harmful than good wants to do away with it I don't see how we could possibly return to the gold standard....the toothpaste is well out of the tube. That's like trying to stuff 200 lbs. of potatoes into a 10 lbs. sack. Our money is only as good as the public's (including the international public like China) belief that we will repay it. According to these two sites, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_reserve;http://onlygold.com/tutorialpages/All_The_Gold_In_The_World.asp...ALL the gold in the world, ever mined, only comes up to around $9T (of course gold prices have escalated since these two papers were done), but regardless, that won't even pay off the existing US National Debt of what...$15T (http://www.usdebtclock.org/). If we went back on the Gold standard...lordy...the commodity prices would go thru the roof, industries that depend on gold (jewelry, computers, aerospace, medical, glass etc.) would pretty much shut down as they could no longer afford to function. http://geology.com/minerals/gold/uses-of-gold.shtml So…this idea sounds good on paper but is unrealistic. Secondly, the Fed Res is "suppose" to be an independent Gov't Agency that sets monetary policy...it has it's quarks no doubt...but what would replace it? If you pull this under the direct authority of either the legislation or the executive branch then you don't have a separation of power. So in this case again, the "cure" is probably worse than the ailment. Now, I’m not saying that there aren’t better solution out there, but these two points as they stand, just don’t jive. Perhaps they are meant to be an opening to further negotiations once he gets in office. With that said, I plan on voting for whomever is on the Republican ticket. I personally prefer Newt because he is well tested and he knows the game…that may not be appealing to many of you, as you want the rules of the game changed, but trying to be realistic, I don’t see that happening…at least until things get even worse. So I want someone that knows the system... and can function well with in it. Mitt certainly doesn’t know the system and I don’t think independents and Reagan’s Democrat will vote for him. But that is merely my For those of you who wish to directly compare two candidates, you can go to this website and choose which one’s you want to compare on several different issues. http://2012.candidate-comparison.org/ Nice post Buddy...as always you are an inspiraton!
  15. Well...if you leave it as 9...I'm sure the girls in the office will start paying more attention to you...just saying.
  16. Yup! I AM all grown up, last night I didn't have to have anyone take my pants off for me...I did it all by myself! ok...I'm back to normal!
  17. Barack Obama was out jogging one morning along the parkway when he tripped, fell over the bridge railing, and landed in the creek below. Before the Secret Service guys could get to him, 3 kids who were fishing pulled him out of the water. He was so grateful he offered the kids whatever they wanted. The first kid said, "I want to go to Disney World". Barack said, "No problem, I'll take you there on Air Force One". The second kid said, "I want a new pair of Nike Air Jordan shoes". Barack said, "I'll get them for you and even have Michael Jordan sign them". The third kid said, "I want a motorized wheelchair with a built in TV and stereo headset". Barack was a little perplexed by this and said, "but you don't look like you're handicapped". The kid responds "I will be, after my dad finds out I saved your a$$ from drowning". Tiff
  18. Wealthhound, It’s your turn under the Tiff’s microscope…sit back and relax…it’s all good! You are a very friendly, good natured, BIG HEARTED person…and best of all you are a BRONCO fan! That is like supersizing Special! (I graduated from my Master’s program in Colorado last Spring) You have excellent writing skills, so naturally I’m thinking you went on to higher education. You are a very well organized lady, well rounded and up on the latest happenings. You post in several different areas which show that you are both smart and articulate. Your integrity is above reproach…I’d easily trust you with my life savings….all $14 dollars of it! You appear to be happily married (is that even possible now a days?) . And people think you two are an adorable couple, well suited for each other. You are pretty laid back and slow to anger. You don’t by nature make waves, but you are persistent. You are very patriotic and your belief in God is very important to you. Saying that, you have a lot of knowledge in the bible, so assume you have taken part in a lot of bible study either in groups or by yourself. Giving to charities is so second nature to you that you kind of take it for granted that everyone is as giving. We aren’t…so keep bashing us over the head (and heart) with how and why to give…because you are really good at holding people accountable and getting the message across of how to provide for the greater good. You yourself are very appreciate of what you have and give thanks each day for it. Loyalty is very important to you..and you are a stanch friend. People like having your endorsement, as your backing carries weight with others. If you say so and so’s word is good, then that’s good enough, as you are an excellent judge of character. You do NOT have a big Ego…you have no problem soliciting help from others and have a deep wiliness to learn. You enjoy taking part in debates, if they are done in a non-judgmental way…and you make sure that everyone has a chance to get their opinion across. You definitely are not a dominating personality, you are very nurturing and fair in all that you do. In your daily life you are prudent, practical and, excuse my French, but you and the hub have your S&*t together. You love to travel..and can even be a risk taker (love scuba diving…AWESOME!). A Big animal lover…you know instinctively that dogs love to be scratched behind the ears and cuddled. Physically….well, purely speculating but dark curly hair, big rosy cheeks, dark eyes…medium to small built….wide arms that likes to hug her hubby with! So what do you think?
  19. 2012 CAMPAIGN POSTER "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.." -- Winston Churchill These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read: Unfortunately, most voters don't know this. 1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity. 2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. 3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. 4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. 5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them; and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation. There is no such thing as a free lunch! Tiff
  20. OMG...that was soooo Funny! My grandmother was Polish and loved to tell jokes like that....
  21. Unitedrich, It was fun doing research on you, but fairly easy…what you see is what you get and you aren’t hiding anything…so shall we begin? You are a very positive, upbeat, enthusiastic and appreciative individual. Your family and friends (which you have many) mean the world to you. I bet you still are close with the people you went to elementary school together…because that’s just how you are..a life long friend. You have tremendous people skills, so no wonder that you are in sales. Leaves me to wonder if you developed those skills for the job….but my guess is that it merely honed the people skills you already had. You are well diverse in your knowledge; you post in many different topic areas. About 99% of your posting fall under both positive and supportive. You certainly aren’t an attention seeking person yourself, being extremely modest, but love to help others reach their full potential. You are an INCREDIBLE father, that part is easy, but I get the impression you also coach or have coached in the past. People love to be around you and I’m sure your family members and you are pillars of the community. You grew up in an upper middle class environment and your family now would be considered “rich” by many…but you make sure your children understand how lucky they are. I’m sure you give both time and money to those charities that you feel strongly about. You are a man of God, but believe that is a somewhat private part of your life. I noticed that you keep your postings more on the light and breezy side. It takes a LOT to make you angry and even then you are polite and reserved. You don’t go out of your way to provide advice and only give it when asked (unless it’s your own kids of course, then they get the full monty!). That said, you probably have people lining up at the door because your advice is rock solid…but mostly, they know that you will listen to them…which is what people REALLY want, huh? You cracked that nut years ago and it has propelled you into a successful career. When I think of you, I think of Richard Cunningham of the Happy Days sitcom. Just an all-around nice chap. Being a bit devious, I’m wondering if you have ever told a dirty joke in your life…if you did, it would probably shock those who know you. If I were to boil it all down you are one of those few people that others can count on throughout their lives, this song kind of sums up how others feel about you, as it captures your true essence:
  22. Ah yes...the BIG JT...God's male answer to Karen Carpenter and Patzy Cline...voices from Heaven itself. Those 3 voices weren't meant to be heard for human's ears. Carolina on my Mind is a sacred song for those of us who wander this Earth. But you didn't list my favorite...cooperline...I think he read my mind of what I felt on that first kiss. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUUN3NH0x2A Thanks Buddy!
  23. DM..yes, in my experience we do get credit for being the world leader. In all of those countries I was made to feel welcome and people are very curious about the American way of life. But their understanding of America is tainted. Almost all of them believe that we live in the lap of luxury and can afford to spend millions on them...as they have been inundated by our TV programs for decades, after viewing Dallas, Baywatch, Friends...all of us must live in large houses, along the beach and be rolling in the dole. They think we live excessively. And they believe us to be personally both very friendly and very ignorant of the ways the rest of the world lives. The older Brits hold a resentment that we entered the War (II) too late, took the best of their women home and helped the enemies (Japan and Germany) to rebuild and did little to help them. And yet they most understand and can relate to where we are at...that is a Superpower now that is starting to wane, similar to the British Empire in the early 1900s. They generally won't tell you any of this upfront as they are a very proud polite people. Both the Irish and the Kiwis love Americans...and love to travel to the US. They find Americans to be very friendly. They kind of sit on the sidelines, both being neutral countries and figure they are both too small (approx 4 M pop each) to really have an impact on the world. The kiwis were very happy and thankful with the US help in the large earthquake they had here in Feb. The Irish love to tell stores of when famous Americans visited them. Germans wished we would stop meddling in world affairs and just let others live their lives. They were absolutely Gobsmacked when Americans voted in W again...they couldn't believe any country could be that stupid to make the same mistake again (don't neg me for this, this is only my interpretation, not what I believe). The Germans have a very high quality of life and every time Americans get involved in world events it seems to cost them money (like increase petrol prices) or make someone in the world mad at the West...so they suffer as a result. They don't like the Brits and they see Americans as an off shoot of them. They also don't acknowledge us as a melting pot. Also they really don't like how we treat the environment. Canadians generally like Americans, but they roll their eyes at lot towards our way of life. They think we take way too much credit and like the Germans, just wished we would mind our own business. When ever they travel in the world, people think they are Yanks, so they get branded for things they didn't do. Japan is in its own world. They have their own culture and way of doing business. The acknowledge our place as the trendsetter, but out of all the countries listed, they think the least of America...they think of us as you may think of say Thailand. You know it's there, you make things that you export that goes there, but otherwise so different that you really don't give them much of a thought. The majority of Germans and Japanese wished we would leave their countries (military bases)...except the local communities that prosper from the money we spend and the people we employee. So, I guess to answer your question, they have grown complacent to us being the policemen of the world. They appreciate the help we prove them in time of disasters, but it is not like they are keeping score and figure they owe us anything. Other than seeing our programs on their TVs every day, they don't really think anymore about the US than you do about them. By the way, this is totally MY perception....there are a lot of Canadians and Brits on here that don't need me to speak for them...but my guess is I'm close and they are much too kind to say that I'm close to the mark.
