My humble question is... Does chapter 7 have anything to do with Iraq's national status or has this long since been reconcilled and my young banker is just uninformed? Beginning December 31, 2010 through December 31, 2012, deposits held in noninterest-bearing transaction accounts will be fully insured, regardless of the amount in the account, at all FDIC-insured institutions. Old news I know. Just can't help but think the feds know something. Maybe it was in anticipation of Bush tax cuts expiring and investors getting out of the market.
