Ok... my point Bondlady is that you have no proof of this other stuff either... i.e. the lower "pre-printed denominations". People look up to you and when anyone speaks matter-of-factly about issues as sometimes you do, a lot of people consider it a truth. Have you ever done the math on this?
If an Iraqi makes $300 a month. That is 351000 dinar. If it RV's at $1 that means that same Iraqi makes $351,000 a month overnight. He makes over a million dollars in one year. Your bread at the corner store just went from $2 or 2340 iqd... to $2340. For a loaf of bread??? Not only that... you seem to suggest that they remove the higher denominations like 25000 for some reason. So they will have to carry around that much cash? What if they need more then bread? Now before you say prices and income won't go up... How will Iraq benefit from a $1 RV then if they can't tax on these things? Are they doing it to be kind? All numbers across the board will be relative in value. You cannot pick and choose certain things that will or won't change. Yes...imports will be much cheaper but that doesn't mean the merchant won't raise his prices to cater to the mega rich new Iraqi. How about the 30% of the population that don't have a job? How will they benefit? How about the other 30% on top of that that have no savings? Are you suggesting that 2/3rds of the country will get nothing so that the 1/3rd will live like kings? You think Iraqi has security problems now you wait for that scenario to unfold. Please... think about that.
For the contractor in iraq. He has 1/2 Americans making $100,000 a year and 1/2 Iraqis they pay $20,000 (23,400,000iqd). Upon an RV... do they keep paying the Iraqis $20,000 or do they now pay them $23.4 MILLION a year? Do they fire them all and bring in an all American workforce? How does that help unemployment in Iraq? I would love for you to address these questions because I can't seem to wrap my head around these other gurus logic. Thanks!
Wouldn't that be adjusted as well as food prices etc.? For example.....A coke costs 1,000IQD now. The zero's shift (RD or RV) the can of coke is now 1IQD. I would assume if an Iraqi worker makes 300,000IQD per month, that salary too would be adjusted in the process to 300IQD per month.

Excellent point, why would anyone want to hang around on forums discussing their poor investment choice. If they are so good why not sell off their Dinar and invest in something that makes more and move on.
I actually own quite a bit of Dinar and been in this investment since 2003.

Why the insult?
I invested in 2003 and paid $640.00 per mil. I bought my Dinar in Iraq. At that time I believed I could be rich. After years of acquiring information I have come to the conclusion there will be no reval. That is my opinion.
I have already made some money on my investment.

why do the Lopsters want it to LOP so bad?
It's not that we "Lopsters" do not want it to RV. There is NO real proof for a reval and plenty of history showing a higher probability you will see a LOP.
I would love to see a RV and be rich...but it's not going to happen.

People need to understand what they are reading. What this article is saying is that Airmen and Soldiers receive IQD when they go to finance and request cash from their Eagle Cards for local purchases while in Iraq.
Their paychecks are still going into their bank accounts in USD.
I am prior Air Force and a Contractor in Iraq & Kuwait and currently in Afghanistan...yes I have a Eagle Cash card.

U.S. military will never be paid in IQD. This article is in reference to what currency the service member can withdraw from ATM's or type of cash received when using their Eagle Cash Card while in Iraq.
They will receive their normal pay in their stateside checking accounts as usual.
Nothing new here.

When was this? From what I've learned about the GCC they've been backing away from the idea of having their own currency.
One World Currency is not something society could swallow quite easily if it were to happen all at once. The Euro was just one of many steps to get there. The GCC will be another. Everyone on this forum as well as other forums should know by now that you can't believe everything that's being reported. I am not sure why everyone is in disbelief when Iraq says they plan to LOP their currency but that are quick to believe the statements saying the GCC is a long way away from being formed.
I will end this debate here. I only wanted to share with the group about what I heard while on the ground in Iraq back in 2004.

I don't care much for this TK fellow but wanted to bring something up. I will more than likely get bashed and really do not care. I was in the IZ stting around a camp fire with an ice cold Corona talking with a few State Department folks. According to them Iraq will hold out for the GCC and when it is all said and done...we will not see a huge return on this investment. I have been holding on just in case something has changed since or maybe they were wrong...but sure looks to me that Iraq is doing just what I was told. Time will tell.
I lived at the "Circle K" and partied at the "Bunker" quite a few times...those who knew the IZ back in 2004 would be able to know I am legit.

I do not know how many people know what CMKX is or what prosperity packets are but it is one big wild story. Its interesting, confusing and not very probable, but who knows.
Apparently the prosperity packets have white knights now and the CMKX thinks their 3.7 trillion dollar trust fund is about to get divided out from an SEC case. I'll stick with dinar Could it be the "CMKX United Shareholders Board"?

OK Everyone. IT HAS RV’d -- RI’d
The RI has begun. It has started in the Middle East, Kuwait, then Jordan, and now all of the Gulf Coast Countries. The rate is an RI rate RE-INSTATE. That rate is 3.22.
It should reach North America by Sunday when Forex opens. The rate in Forex is fixed at 5.27 and that rate cannot be revoked, it is irrevocable. So we will have to wait and see exactly what happens over this weekend. THE BARE MINIMUM IS 3.22, so we should all be happy. Prepare to exchange on Tuesday as Monday is a Federal Holiday, Martin Luther King Day, banks are closed in USA.
Now, we are told that the rate in the Middle East will go up within 24 hrs. If, however, the rate reaches our shores, those of you that want to can cash in a small amount of dinar to ease up on the financial distress that we are in, you should do so. It might be a good idea to hold back and see what happens before rushing to cash-in.
Because this is initially an RI (re-instatement) and not an RV, we are told you should ask your TAX ATTORNEY & NOT YOUR CPA as it is suggested that the tax consequences will be less. Have him check out Section 988 and Section 525 of the IRS Tax Code and Presidential Executive Order 13303.

The title of this post is misleading. I don't normally reply to the BS here but I will on this one. Sarah is referring to grocery stores that sell beer and wine. Allot of them exist in the south. She is clearly making reference to the fact all customers are required to show their ID for alcohol purchases.
