  1. one of the favorite reasons for a high RV around here is that "it needs to be high to compete with the world economy". i too have used this as a reason in the past. it was bugging me recently so i did a little digging on "world power" currencies in relation to the USD. by digging i mean i went to xe.com. while most are in the vicinity of the dollar, japans is worth about a penny. and i think we an all agree japan is a world power. now i know that is more than the IQD, but its still not a whole heck of a lot. just something to think about. 1.00 USD = 83.5581 JPY United States Dollars Japan Yen 1 USD = 83.5581 JPY 1 JPY = 0.0119677 USD
  2. there is a bit too much religion on there, but you can just ignore it. the worst is "pray for RV" which i have seen countless times on multiple dinar websites.
  3. they arent right about a lot of things, but who is these days? i just think its a bit childish to go around bashing other sites. especially when info gets pulled back and forth from every site out their anyhow. also, for the record, i want nothing to do w/ some mass meeting of fellow dinar-holders...
  4. talk about taking the high road. what this should say is "the reason i deleted your post is that site stole all our best intel gatherers. they do not charge fees and try to sell stuff. we can't compete with that."
  5. because it reads like a commercial, i would assume. i didnt, but it does read like a promo. i actually heard them talking about this on the radio the other night, and it does sound like a good idea.
  6. very interesting video. how long can they allow clips like this on mainstream media to continue?
  7. can you set up a trust for a child who has not been born yet (or two)? dont laugh, its a serious question. i dont have kids yet, plan to in the future...
  8. do you really want to be buying dinar on your credit card? i would think that is on par w/ taking a cash advance out at a casino on one.
  9. waaaaah, youre views are different than mine. not allowed. waaaah. im going to erase that. waaaaaah
  10. cant wait for the rv so i can fly private! in all seriousness, that is highly disturbing. we need to get a better system in place.
  11. this should be linked to the sign up page where every new member has to read it before joining. great stuff.
  12. [quote name=Tammi ' date='21 November 2010 - 02:40 PM' timestamp='1290368448' post='274886] WHAT MAKES YOU SO RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING......QUIT YER DAMNABIT BASHING OF EVERYONE.... CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG ...BUT UMMMM YOU HAVE BEEN WRONG AS WELL!!!!! (OOPS) following my own advice....smile and wave boys smile and wave (sorry for the slip) hes right on this one. i think it was a post of his that made me decide to post this thread in the first place.
  13. i don't get it. meanwhile, we give (+) signs to posts about reading fortune cookies.
  14. it seems like lately people are being excessively trigger happy giving people negative ratings for posting their opinions. nearly every negative post gets a bunch of (-) signs next to it. its a little ridiculous, and its probably making a lot of people not want to post. you disagree with someone? type why, do not just resort to clicking the little red button. most of us live in a democracy, something we all want for the iraqi people. one of the main tenets of democracy is the right to differing opinions. someone who thinks the rv is still aways off is entitled to their opinion. its pretty childish to call them names and click your "negative" button instead of offering an opinion in return. lets see how quick the negatives stack up on this one.
  15. i feel worse for the poor saps posting on here about where to buy dinar w/ credit cards, or those that bought more than they could afford. there is no concrete time frame. their timeframe is no cluttered by private agendas and petty grudges that it is almost nonexistent, especially to those of us w/ no direct knowledge of the day to day life of the iraqi people (like me). was i hoping for this sunday (today) or monday? hell yes. will i wait longer? hell yes. i suggest everyone else does the same. think of it like a cd w/ no time line but ridiculous ROI, bury it in a safe deposit box, and wait for the news to be every where.
  16. yes. i guess i did not read it too close. didnt realize there was a time limit. it is a long enough window to meet w/ a tax advisor and financial advisor to get your ducks in a row though.
  17. you are all forgetting one thing; this is america, home of bailing out the bank to keep them from failing! so put it wherever you want, the government won't let a bank fail just for terrible business practice and/or generally being stupid w/ their assets! in all honesty, if you have any amount of money in this, you will want to get a private banker (assuming it is 100% insured). i have dealt w/ one briefly and it is great. i do like the excerpt from the FDIC someone posted though. that is great news.
  18. [ i would be thrilled w/ .86. that is OVER 1000% return on investment! i have read many posts from very intelligent people forecasting an rv of 2-3.00+. i know there are facts to support that. i still will not believe it until i see it. at which point i will be thrilled, but i am not going to sit here and say, "damn, .86 just is not going to cut it."
  19. i heard a great quote yesterday that has a bit of relevance to this topic. i will probably butcher it and already forgot who said it but: "pray like it all depends on god, work like it all depends on you." maybe thomas jefferson? im sure somebody wiser than me knows who said it, but i like it, and im not even religious.
  20. very good points all around here. it seems that if a differing viewpoint is well thought out and well worded, it is not as likely to be blasted and shouted down. i, for one, like reading different viewpoints. obviously we all want our investment to increase 1000% or more, but as someone who has dealt w/ investments for quite some time, i will have a hard time accepting that until the day it happens. thats not to say i do not have a new boat, house, and truck already picked out (i do), but at the end of the day, even a 100% return is outstanding. do not forget that. while i have done tons of research on the dinar and its likely revaluation, i am more apt to take someones post seriously if it is not littered w/ spelling and grammatical errors.
  21. i dont think the word "revalue" should be in the heading. that is what is throwing people. a revalue is when they step in and say, "the new rate will be ____". what ali is saying is he will open stores IF the currency shifts to be worth .005. it is slowly gaining strength, if it continues it would only make sense that if that process continues eventually it would reach his target. hope this clears it up xxx.
  22. yeah, but they are still offering to buy it. at bbt, it was $1014.00 for 950k. which works out to just slightly better than dinartrade. BUT, they took longer than they said they would, and im an impatient bastard. bottom line though, if they said they will buy it back now, im sure they will buy it back after.
  23. i bank w/ both bbt and b of a, and have purchased some from bbt also. they said the same thing to me. and i appreciate the reply. that is what i was looking for someone from b of a. hearing from an actual employee at the bank that they will cash it in.
  24. i am posting what was said to me at my branch (in south carolina today). and not to be argumentative, but no matter how big you type nobody has said "yes i know for sure they will buy the dinar." i appreciate the opinions, especially since they favor what i want to hear, but nobody has anything concrete. i understand the concept of profitability for the bank and that they "should all accept dinar post-rv", i am just wondering if anybody has been given assurances ahead of time FROM A B OF A MANAGER.
  25. Frank, some people like to be prepared. while i love buying my dinar from ali, i am not too thrilled at the prospect of cashing in at one of his sketchy random stripmall locations. i prefer a good old american bank for that sort of thing.
