  1. IMF Article 14 allows them to handle currency differently and inconsistently. Article 8 (when they are intl accepted) forces them to treat all outstanding currency the same. So they can RD while under Article 14 and then move to Article 8 and then treat all face value outstanding currency the same. They are following IMF guidelines.
  2. Hey Sonny1- I have a question for you. Is it alright to message you some how? Please let me know. Thank you.
  3. Psyche, I appreciate the article and info but I dont think I agree with the perspective you are giving. Countries are forgiving Iraq's debt, left and right, and because of Saddam, sanctions, wars, and high unemployment...there is no private savings left. So this situation appears to be different than Germany. Why then do you believe, Shabbs will implement a similar plan for different circumstances? Thankyou for your insight.
  4. WAS WONDERING THE SAME.
  5. If you believe in the LOP but also believe in the rise of the lower denoms than go buy lower denoms so you can hold them and ride them up. Thats your insurance policy against a LOP...if that is what you believe. This LOP conversation has been beaten to death and the fear has risen again. Its no big deal either way. Buy the small denoms now to protect yourself if you truly believe in the future of the currency. If you dont, then do just what Nani is stating because otherwise this makes no sense and is just an insane discussion.
  6. This site is filled with many opinions...that is for sure. All are great in theory. It will go down the way it was intended on the timescale that makes the most sense for their country and the world (since everything is intertwined and they are locked up in Chapter 7 prison and have owed the IMF and other countries major cash and because many many countries have offered debt relief -for some strange reason. In other words IRAQ is on the hook to many countries and entities to get it done right and in the way they desire it.) Glad the plan is being executed by geniuses like Shabs is all i can say!
  7. Its amazing they are able to do this type of thing without the direction behind a security minister.
  8. Thanks for keeping this one straight.
  9. For inquiring minds---not THAT Gary B.
  10. Saudi is also a closed society, not an open for business/ capitalist type society. Iraq will far surpass Saudi in GDP over the coming yrs.
  11. You are panicking. Your gonna have a heart attack. Calm down. deep breath. All will be OK. My goodness man. Things are progressing in that country very nicely and positively. They cannot stay at 1170 forever...for so many reasons. Just chill. If this was going to go another few years and Ali is turning hundreds of thousands or millions per month in profit...why would he walk away from that? The US Treasury was with him for his annual audit over a month ago. If he was scamming everyone, they would have shut him down....YEARS AGO. His operations are still open. Call them. They are there. He is walking away from his selling profits for a reason. Maybe it is primarily because he is in danger. I wouldnt doubt it with who is connected to all of this. But he may also want to cash in his remainder of his last purchase for his family's benefit as well. Anyway, calm down. This is not a scam and you are going to have health problems if you keep this sort of thinking and acting up!
  12. I'm thinking the banks have now stocked up on LOWER DENOMS to get ready!
  13. I agree this is huge and a great positive indicator. I have heard before folks talking about UAE and other countries investments into Iraq would total about $500 billion and would be announced to the world at the summit. Foreign capital flows to where it can make a healthy return. That is FACT. My only issue with this article is the date. January 2010. Maybe just another indicator of prematurity and delays? Many say this was suppossed to have been done already. Maybe that is a fact?
  14. How is your statement even possible if Jesus' adult disciples (Peter, Paul, John, etc etc) wrote most of the New Testament? You all are hysterical. It is quite obvious from reading this post you DO NOT know the bible... but interestingly you try to use it as evidence to make your case against the reality of God. This whole thing is quite pathetic. You are not going to shame anyone into giving up their beliefs nor are you going to "win" anyone to your belief system with your empty and sad rhetoric. Randomness is so lonely and final. Sorry you feel the way you do. But why did you bother engaging here? Certaintly to throw a stone at the person who posted! That was obvious. But you could have walked away in whatever disagreement you had yet you did not. This is very telling. The squeeky wheel gets the oil and you are certaintly getting your 10 minutes. If its attention you required, why not just say so.
  15. Remember that would be almost 8 MBPD of STORAGE capacity (not distributed) on their way to an eventual planned 50.
  16. What is so hard to believe here?? That the citizens are complaining about basic services? Or maybe that because of the food rations and the uneven distribution of payment they are forced to live week to week? Maybe the low govt approval and belief they traded 1 dictator for another? The one that is hardest to believe is the fact that they love the ability and freedom to demonstrate and have free speech when they have never had it. That one is HARD to believe. One of the hardest to believe was the one about jobs =, where the majority of the people are screaming about the need for jobs. i dont buy that one for a second. And the icing on the cake is the BELIEF that their currency will raise dramatically and be worth more than Kuwait. the fact that they have been TOLD this but it hasnt happened yet is so far fetched i feel like i am reading a Micheal Crighton novel. I mean come on this is the most made up stuff I have ever read! The fact that anyone would take their time to write something this far-fetched about a people that obviously has none of these issues just goes to show this author is nothing more than a PUMPER or just looking for his 15 minutes. Its SOOOO obvious. Sit down pumper. We smell what your cooking. Joker. Oh and 1 more thing on the Taliban in Iraq, which is a JOKE by the PUMPER himself: Al-Qaida in Iraq adopting Taliban tactics By Kim Gamel - The Associated Press Posted : Thursday Jun 17, 2010 16:56:30 EDT BAGHDAD — An al-Qaida in Iraq front group claimed responsibility Thursday for an unusual attack more typical of the Taliban in Afghanistan — a commando-style assault in which suicide bombers wearing military uniforms stormed the Central Bank during rush hour in Baghdad. The hours-long attack differed from the Iraqi terror network’s trademark car and truck bombings, a shift in tactics as the group struggles to regroup after being routed in a series of U.S.-Iraqi offensives. Experts said the complex nature of the attack suggested the group’s new leadership could be taking cues from the Taliban’s success with similar operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Al-Qaida in Iraq has been blamed for many of the deadly suicide strikes that have targeted the Foreign Ministry and other government institutions over the past year. Sunday’s violence differed because it involved bombings as well as an effort by suicide bombers to force their way into the building while battling with security forces. Such attacks were common during the sectarian violence that nearly pushed Iraq to the brink of civil war in 2006-2007, but they were usually blamed on Shiite militias or other groups.
  17. This is just a ridiculous discussion. Why did you get into the investment (at that level that you did) to begin with? What possessed you to continue purchasing till you accumulated what you are reporting you have? Those are the same reasons to stick it out until the investment has reached a level worth selling. The mere discussion and whining over the fact that it hasnt happened yet is annoying. You sound like a child who isnt getting his way. <Why hasnt this happened yet???!!! Do it now!!!>This is a very complicated moment in history that is trying to be born. Things like this just dont happen everyday. However long it will take...it will take. Buck up already and keep your antics to yourself. The rest of us are looking for news and encouragement about the direction of our investment.
  18. Man TJ, you ask all the good questions! Good one you. Frozen Daquiry?
  19. Hey bro- I think you've been called a pumper.
  20. good post. I would further add that maybe the CBI stayed "constipated" for as long as they did and keeping the nominal rate down at 1170/1 when it should have been higher was to fan speculation. In doing so, they would pad their foreign reserves at such a high level that when it came time to truly rv this currency, their reserves would be in appropriate position to cover. Not an economist- just a layman. And just a theory.
  21. Not sure his business acumen and his sports acumen should be equated with each other? His sports predictions certainly do not discount his business/ political viewpoints and/or predictions.
  22. Hey bro- not sure about you but this thing comes out at $1.17 and I'm out and done (if you know what I mean). but like you I believe it will be higher. I believe it will for a few reasons none the least being that they can now monetize the still in the ground massive quantities of oil, natural gas, sulpher, etc because of present day financial instruments. Due to this i feel the number will be higher. Another huge reason is because our federal govt will want it higher because this particular event is a once in a lifetime event and they hold mucho dinaro. They want the restart. The redo. The clean slate. So i believe this is a journalism error but I do feel its indicative of a larger picture. Where's Eddie Murphy when you need him? Go Yanks! Go Bartolo!
  23. sorry bro. Computer glitch. I had "copied" TJMunson's quote about his conversion exchange math being incorrect. your post only proves that point in the math area. For some reason, i believe we were posting at the very same time, the post substituted TJMunson's post (which i thought i copied but now see yours in my post) for your post. Sorry about that. i agree with you in disputing my brother's math. We are in agreement. Sorry again for any confusion. trying this post again due to the earlier quote copying mistake (Sorry again Audi): Not sure this math is correct brother. If each USD dollar ($1) in the current exchange conversion equals 1170 IQ dinars than you would have to multiply $68.4 B * 1170. This would equal over $80 T. That is not the reported 58.5T in the story. While i dont necessarily think the exchange rate is being incicated to us by an Arab journalist, i do believe this typo, to go along with all the other numerous typos we have seen recently, is indicative of something trying to take form and be birthed with regards to the dinar.
