  1. That was pretty good stuff. Things that make you go hmmm! Good break from Dinar-onomics!
  2. I would recomend the Wounded Warrior Project first with a close second to the Medal of Honor Society. Personally a lot of our money will go to these two programs because I have seen them in action. Having a family member that is a MOH recipient, I have learned a lot about their program and the things they do for Veterans and our youth. They do a lot of "restoring honor" events and even have a High School History program that just got off the ground where they teleconference the students.... I can go onto a huge soap box regarding these two programs that they do. But, you should look it up for yourselves. Wounded Warrior Project Wounded Warrior Project Medal of Honor Society Medal of Honor Society Follow your heart and give to the groups that YOU think will benefit the most. Hope this helps
  3. BLAH Ha Ha Ha! Good ole TK with a $8 RV rate. Wow, I havent been a member long but his rate has gone up almost $3 in two months..... I love fantasy..
  4. I like the $7.00 RV idea, I will think about it all night, right after I catch a few pointers from the move "Men Who Stare at Goats"... Everyone keep up the good work cause I got 1 MIL more Dinar arriving tomorrow.... Good Luck and God Bless!
  5. It was just the Pres. checking to see if the "launch codes" and the little key really work! Who knows maybe he is doing a little show and tell with his daughters.
  6. Hey if this flops, I got dibs on the next reality tv show; "I got Dinar'd"! It is funny to speak with some and watch the moods fluctuate as much as the rumors. Good Luck All, RV Tuesday???
  7. Please keep in mind of the people we have vested our futures in. The thought process of many Iraqi's, ( For the sake of being wrong, I will not say all) is not even close to the typical thought process of an American. Please do not misinterpret what I am saying, there are some very inteligent people in Iraq. BUT they just see things differently and put a precidence on things in a different manner. For example, the Hajj. To the Muslim, making the Hajj is 100 times more important than going to Grandma's house on Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of Christ or to exchange gifts. The Hajj is a journey that all Muslims are supposed to make at least once in thier lifetime. It is also the largest religous exodus in the world, they even set up special flight for this holiday period. Crazy, I know. I wish more Christians would stand behind their faith as the Muslims do during the Hajj. A couple of other interesting tid-bits of Iraqi culture. My wife was deployed to Iraq during the start of the war in 2003. As a medic she treated our military and Iraqi civilians (to win hearts and minds). This one family would not let thier 8 year old daughter to be air lifted to a military hospital for treatment of her severe burns all over her body. Even though she may have died regardless of the treatment, he parents would not let her fly on a black hawk helicpoter because it was "the beast that breathed fire" and if she was to fly on it, the Americans would kill her. Given the "Shock and Awe" of the time period, their fears were understandable, but the American's wanted to help this girl and the News would have loved it too. ]Again regarding my wife's deployment. She had an Iraqi civilian contractor come in with a huge cut on the palm of his hand. She cleaned the wound and masterfully placed about 30 stitches in one of the most difficult locations on the body to stitch. As the goof ball walked out of the medic tent, he pulled out his knife and proceded to cut the stitches out himself..... Go figure. One last thing. While in the military and speaking with some people that trained Arabic pilots. I found out that they "Muslims" put everything in the hands of Allah. We (Americans) conduct intense pre-flight checks on our aircraft prior to flying to ensure that it is safe and we can go to McDonalds later. There the philosophy was more like, "Are all of the big pieces there, kick the tires, pray to Allah, and go flying". I guess it was out of their control if an engine was leaking oil all over the place, Allah would decide if they made it back or not.... I did all of that rambling to make this point. It does not matter how much we wish this RV thing or Logically plan this out or have a magical crystal ball, the Iraqi's are going to do this when they are ready and when they feel Allah is ready. I know this sounds anti-climatic but it is the culture. However, knowing all of this, I still feel like the RV will happen in the near future even with my screwed up philosophies. Best of luck to all.. God Bless!
  8. Fiscal Responsibility????? That's one heck of a vacation. Maybe we will see some "Change" in January with the new Congress majority????
  9. Good Post American, Your plan makes a lot of sense, I agree that there is a method behind the madness on a global basis and can see a lot of common sense logic with the pro's and con's of th RV taking place. Once it flips and I can physically see the fruits of my "investment" its time to fire up the BBQ and blow the dust off of the hooka my mother-in-law sent me from Iraq. Thanks for the insight.
