Stetson Wanted to comment on your post earlier today but was not at my computer and in place to do so... but I so get where you are coming from! In June a friend and I drove 25 miles to the closest WF bank small branch... just to open an account with the bare min of $100... While there we spoke to branch manager in private (I explained I worked in Iraq 3 yrs and was invested in the dinar) and without going into all the detailed... we, also, were received and told the same things you were and we were given nos of those in "financial Wealth planners/investors" depts and told how it would all work etc. etc.. everyone was super cordial and informative behind closed doors... Soon and very soon is all they would say and they were ready... what is really weird they now call us weekly to check to see if everything is going ok and do we have any problems that they could help us with... I have a whooping $100.00 in a new account... not like I'm the "best-est" customer of all time!!!! so no matter what all the naysers say... it doesn't matter to me... my personal experiences overwrites all that junk!!! So Newbies please don't call the banks and don't talk to a teller... they are programmed to say the same negative thing!!! they will only look at you like your nutz....and tell you that they don't and they won't deal in dinar because it's not a tradeable currency!!! DUH!!! but make an appt or ask to speak to someone in charge and the story changes!!! BTW... your guys are adorable... I have groomed professionally since 2001 (except when Iraq...LOL) and love all my babies!!! We're getting really close!!! GGOOOOOOOOOO RV!!!!!

How strange... I was there today (WF) and got a total different response!!! They of course said they aren't doing it now and don't know for sure if they were going to do it ( yeah right)...but she stated "they have been told it was going to happen soon" and then when ask about De le rue machine (this was a smaller WF in smaller town) she proceded to tell me their procedure for cashing in and cordially answered our question... (of course only on the assupmtion if and when they do it... she could not say otherwise yet) now in the pass they always have been very negative(like some people I know) and this to prevent people calling and bugging them 24/7... they'd deny deny deny and would say they KNOW NOTHING!!!)... but today was different and we both open an account there... due to the fact that they are one of the big 4 and they deal in foreign currency and they will cash in their bank customers first... Which leads me to the reason I went there in the first place... something happened to a friend of mine in NJ yesterday... she called and told me of the TD Bank there that had exchanged dinar Wed am for a few hours while it was up on screen (showed 5.25) and when the screen went blank they stopped and then close their doors to the lines forming there...(she knew someone in the bank)... I asked my friend was there a WF Bank near by that she could go to and ck out and ask question ... see their response... she did and to make a long story short... she went and the screen was BLANK... and in the end the Bank Manager told her to open an account and if she'd come back today... he pulled it up and if the screen came up again showing an amount... if so she could cash out at that time... this was not the TD Bank but WF Bank... my friend couldn't afford to do this... So I'm thinking maybe they are testing the system??? Seems to me things are happening... they are GETTING READY... there is a LOT MORE going on here than meets the eye or the average Joe Smoe has any clue about... People plzzzzzzz I know this is a roller coaster ride but you need to look at the glass has half full... try to look at the positive things taking place.... I didn't have to share this with anyone but decided to because it was a positive activity asnd result... no date and rate ...just encouraging... I can wait a lil longer!!! My friend and I ask to speak to the bank manager, who was out, so we spoke w/ Asst bank manager in private... and got a very very very positive reponse and helpful information. It's hard to believe this won't happen til 2012... when the bank people's attitudes have seemed to be more positive and informative and not acting or giving the "deer in the head light look"... just saying... my experiences... in a small town!!! Sir I worked in Iraq for almost 3 yrs... a year in Baghdad and the rest in Tikrit... I'm just an ordinary lady with kids (SON AND DAUGHTER THAT ARE OFFICERS) in the military so I went to help the military in some small way... by working there making and testing water for military and civillians working there... so I'm no guru, pumper or whatever... but I decide to invest just as I might in a penny stock... when I heard that our president had a law put in place given American Citizens the right to invest in Iraq's progress along with US treasury, wealthy congressmen, ex-presidents, the sec.of state, and many of the other wealthy US people that have been in AUE spending money like crazy... (not to mention this as happened in Kuwait and other countries before...) then why shouldn't I take a chance on this country 's progress...BTW the military "exchanged" it/Dinar in Iraq... I've personally seen the progress albeit very slow...and YES they are the best at propaganda in the world...they love to throw people off to prevent possible run on the banks... or even better to get people to throw in the towel early! So if you invest in stock, real estate or currency the way I think of it... it's a chance... long term investment... NOT a get rich scam... and I wouldn't invest any more than I could afford to loose if I spent a week in Vegas!!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion according to their experiences, knowledge and research they do to satisfy themselves but surely you must know not everything in print these days or from the media is neccessarily TRUE... maybe I'm wrong but I believe without a doubt that this WILL RV... but no one knows when and Tuesday could be just a good a day as any other day... but ya know if it doesn't happen then sobeit... we the "little" people will never know what is really going on...(I just found out recently there is one family that controls all of the money in US and they control it's being printed in the US and not to mention their influence in the world...) So relax just knowing that it will happen one day and that should be satisfing enuf ... and Iraqi's do want our business and would not shoot themselves in the foot to screw us over... cuz believe me America has spent tons of money there and more than likely will spend tons more and they know we will help them and be there for them... and just FYI they dont want us to leave... at least not the majority anyway.
