This Just In… December 17, 2010 12:04 am Take it as a RUMOR… but I just received a call (source in Baghdad) that Maliki just announced his Cabinet. I do NOT know what this means right now, but I’m sure the information will reveal itself over the next couple of days. Do they still need to ratify Maliki’s decisions? What other steps need to take place to make it official? These along with other questions are rattling through my tired brain tonight. I just do NOT know the answers to these questions yet. But, it appears everything is moving at the speed of light…. tie that in with the US Congress passage of the Tax Extensions, and we are GETTING THERE!!! This is only IMO that I do and always have felt that there is bad translation of Arabic to English even through using Google translate with all articles when it comes to a proper format. The only thing that I can think of with the 250 dinar spoke of here is maybe they are refering to the ration cards of 250 IQD. If for example they are using a RV of let's say 1.17 USD then the 250 card is worth 292.5 USD, if they are using the RI of 3.22 then the 250 IQD on the ration card is worth 805.00 USD. The interpretation of the ME language is misinterpreted when converted to english even by Google Translate. Dec 31/Jan 1st as a timeline for cashing in is a false statement. All due respect Phoenix ...... I love your imput by have to disagree.... Our IQD that we cash in will not go directly back to CBI but instead will go to the US Treasury, who by the way will honor our IQD while at the same time storing the IQD in our foreign reserves to where we (US Govt) have agreements with Iraq.

Removal of zero's is simply the CBI being able to retrieve all of the IQD 1000, 5000, 25000 ect notes and removing them completely out of circulation once the RV/RI occures while emplimenting the lower denomination IQD reaon being is that once the RV occured and you go into an Iraqi store to buy a lof of bread that now costs 2 IQD instead of 20,000 IQD pre RV. The store is not going to be able to give you change if your attempting to buy a lof of bread with a 25K note. That would be the same thing as if you went into Walmart and trying to by a gallon of milk with an old 1000 USD bill and expecting the cashier to give you back change.
