  1. Here's a little less biased view point http://www.policymic.com/articles/83501/the-definitive-guide-to-what-s-actually-going-on-in-venezuela

  3. Sounds like trouble on the streets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_0xa-Lzjg8
  4. Sounds like the banks are doing pretty good. Does that mean I can still get my cash out ?
  5. Looks like nobody wants to sell dinar.
  6. I've been researching mining stocks since the last article you posted about it. This is a 5 year chart for Anglogold Ashanti (largest gold mining company in the world). http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=AU+Interactive#symbol=au;range=5y;compare=;indicator=volume;charttype=area;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=; It looks like most mining stocks in that they lost more than half their value before bottoming out last December. What I find interesting is that mining stocks seem to be somewhat disconnected from the overall stock market, and the proportion of the stock value to the gold price is out of whack. Gold has lost approximately 30% since the 2011 highs, while mining stocks have lost about double that. Makes me wonder what will happen if/when gold gains value again.
  7. I come here for the news (it's better than anything on TV), and Machine's gold articles. I also like the tin foil hat stuff too.
  8. I've been self employed my whole life, so the thought of someone else paying for my health insurance or retirement seems like a fantasy to me. I don't begrudge people who get those benefits (maybe a little), but I think everyone should be responsible for their own well being. It's called personal responsibility. It needs to start at the personal level, and spread upward from there. If we can't be responsible for ourselves, how can someone else be expected to be responsible for us ?
  9. I have a Chevy, and will never buy another one because it a piece of crap.
  10. Machine, there are a ton of mining companies out there. Are there any that have caught your eye ?
  11. Wow Stud !!! I completely agree with you. But I've been married for a while now, and haven't been tea bagged in a long time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_bag_(sexual_act)
  12. If you disagree with the progressive agenda, you will be called a racist or extremist, or some other derogatory term. But the silent majority hasn't given up yet. Here is good example from my increasingly blue state. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/02/04/administrators-reverse-ban-on-american-celebration-at-high-school/
  13. I should be a congressman. I'd be the smartest guy in the room.
  14. The only time they ever work together is to spend more money, and to grow the size and power of government.
  15. Our national pride will be whittled down to the point where future generations will be ashamed to be Americans.
  16. Congrats to the Seahawks. What a demoralizing loss for my beloved Broncos. I think Peyton has to come back to try and salvage his reputation, but I kind of hope he doesn't so the Zac Dysert era can begin. GO BRONCOS !!!
  17. It won't be a blowout, but the Broncos will dominate. Peyton is going to put on a surgical clinic, and the Seachickens are going to be the patients.
  18. I remember when Wally Weaver used to post, and he made a convincing argument that we should buy government backed coins. (American Eagles, Maple Leafs, etc.) I decided to check some of my silver rounds, and found one that weighed 34.5 grams instead of 31. I took it back to the coin shop, and they found that it was only 92% silver. So as always, buyer beware.
  19. I started out with a 100 oz. goal. Now I'm on to a 1000 oz. goal. If I wasn't married, I think I'd be there.
  20. Seems to be a lot of varying opinions on how everything is going to shake out. I lean towards higher inflation, but there is no logic in our economy anymore. I can't see gold dropping to $700, much less $250. I think it costs around 1050 - 1100 to mine an ounce of gold, but that's assuming a twelve pack still costs $11. I guess that does make some deflationary sense.
  21. Sometimes people get sick of the liberal spin that our media puts on the news here. If nobody stands up to it, eventually it becomes the truth. An example is that Republicans are the party of the rich, and Democrats care about the poor. The media has been saying that since I can remember, and if you ask the average voter, they will agree.
