  1. THERE WAS AN ARTICLE ON CNN? THIS A.M. ABOUT BUFFETT AND ALL THE WEALTHY PAYING CAPITAL GAINS TAXES INSTEAD OF INCOME TAXES. HE STATED HE WAS PAYING LESS TAXES THAN HIS SECRETARY BECAUSE OF LOWER INTEREST RATES ON INVESTMENTS ETC. SO THE INCREASE IN CAPITAL GAINS MAKES SENSE, DON'T LIKE IT... SEEMS LIKE EVERYTIME YOU TRY AND GET AHEAD, ONE STEP FORWARD, TWO STEPS BACK. JUST KEEP FALLING IN THAT BUCKET OF T-TS AND COME UP SUCKING YOUR THUMB!.... JUST NOT RIGHT....
  2. I doubt if anything will happen.. I believe most of the people have told relatives and friends about the Dinar as I have... it they chose not to invest... Oh well!!.. they had the opportunity and made the decision not to... Will be the same as Kuwait... I didn't know a thing about it... out of sight, out of mind... your new found wealth should be held close or you will find relatives you never knew existed...
  3. A woman from Georgia had went to the big city and upon returning was talking to her best friend about the experience. 1st - Do you know, in the big city they have men that will lick other men on the private parts!? 2nd - They don't! 1st - Yes they do.... 2nd - Well, What are they called? 1st - They call them "H o m o s e x u a l s"... 2nd - Well I'll be... 1st - Yes, and do you know in the big city, they have women that will lick other women on the private parts?! 2nd - They don't !? 1st - Yes they do.... 2nd - Well, What are they called? 1st - They call them "L e s b i a ns"... 2nd - Well I'll be... 1st - Yes, and do you know in the big city, they have men that will lick other women on the private parts?! 2nd - They don't ! 1st - Yes they do.... 2nd - Well, What are they called?! 1st - Well, when I caught my breath, I called him PRECIOUS!! (Use a Southern accent)
  4. Welcome aboard... and thx for the post... getting closer... Semper Fi
  5. I don't think "MONEY" is the correct oder of the RV's breath.... I say 5 more days... and have been since Oct. of 07'.... everyday I am asked... it's five more days... and one of these times, I WILL BE RIGHT.!!!! AND BE THE GREATEST GURU OF ALL TIMES!!!! Bwwaaaaahahahahahahahah!!!! I feel much better now...
  6. I worked in Iraq for two years from Sept 07 - Oct 09... in March of 08' the GOI announced they would be removing the larger bills from circulation, ones with the 3 zeros... when I left in Oct 09, no one on base could get any 25000 or 10000 notes... if you could fine ONE of these notes when buying dinar, you were lucky... 5 and 1 thousand notes were it... The Iraqi people, by previous posts, are pi$$ed due to having to use 500 and 250's notes now... they can not get hold of larger bills... sooooo... why are they still talking about removing the 3 zeros from the currency when it doesn't seem like they have any or very few in left in country.... all the large notes are outside of Iraq... held by investors and governments... this trading a 25000 for a 25 dinar note doesn't seem right... something is not jiving with what this idiot from the CBI is saying.. New currency I can see since the Kurds want their language on the money... and smaller bills/fils would be a must to RV/RI... but to make a 25, 10, 5 or 1000 note that is held for the most part by foreign investors and governments, and make them worth only 1, 5, 10 and 25 dinars... seems like a bunch of B$ to the tenth power... just take a deep breath, hold, and exhale slowly... all is good.... Semper Fi..
  7. There was also a mention of this being dated 27 July 2011 as far as what they were voting on. It sure didn't take long... less than two min. total from beginning to end... Hope someone else can find this resolution S-2011/465... I'm also guessing this is the correct #'s, I did not write down the #'s they were saying... thought it was going to last a wee bit longer than it did...
  8. Really makes sense. Again past preformance on doing a revaluation of the Iraq currency was done on the last working day of the month, Thursday, unless Thursday is a holiday then it was Wednesday. This month the last working day is Thursday 28th... They could even come out on the 31st, Sunday, firstt working day of the next month... getting closer.... semper fi
  9. I'm sure glad they didn't use dead weapons... here we go again... did they think someone was going to bring a knife to a gun fight... heck... instead of drive by shootings, they might want to think about drive by slappings.. b***h slap em... that will learn'em.... SEMPER FI...

  11. Found this in searching... IRS Announces Opening Times, Addresses for July 17 Special Assistance Day for Gulf Oil Spill Victims IR-2010-85, July 14, 2010 WASHINGTON –– The Internal Revenue Service announced the locations of Taxpayer Assistance Centers in seven Gulf Coast cities that will be open this Saturday, July 17 to provide help to taxpayers impacted by the BP oil spill. The following locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Central Time: 1110 Montlimar Drive, Mobile, Ala. 651-F West 14th St., Panama City, Fla. 7180 9th Ave. North, Pensacola, Fla. 2600 Citiplace Centre, Baton Rouge, La. 423 Lafayette St., Houma, La. 1555 Poydras Street, New Orleans, La. 11309 Old Highway 49, Gulfport, Miss. Individuals who have questions about the tax treatment of BP claims payments or who are experiencing filing or payment hardships because of the oil spill will be able to work directly with IRS personnel at any of these locations on Saturday. Last week, the IRS announced the opening of a dedicated phone line for victims of the Gulf oil spill –– 866-562-5227. This special toll-free line is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will also be open to callers on Saturday, July 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Central Time. In certain cases, IRS staff can assist oil spill victims by suspending collection and examination actions. Taxpayers who need this assistance must request it. Others may decide to continue making payments because interest will continue to accrue on outstanding balances, even if some penalties are abated. In addition to postponing collection actions, the IRS continues to have a number of other ways to help taxpayers deal with oil spill issues or other economic hardships, including: Added flexibility for missed payments on installment agreements and offers in compromise for previously compliant individuals. Consideration of a taxpayer’s current income and potential for future income when negotiating an offer in compromise. Accelerated levy releases. Assistance of the Taxpayer Advocate Service for those experiencing economic harm and seeking help resolving tax problems that have not been resolved through normal channels. For More Information For further information, including the tax treatment of BP compensation payments, see questions & answers about the Gulf oil spill. 13. It's possible, the 14th being the Iraqi Independence day, then on the 15th of July the Dodd-Frank Act is implemented... sound as good as anything else I've heard since Oct 07'....
  14. Roger that but Forex, xe.com and other sites have it ... this one doesn't ... but... it is not recognized yet as you say...
  15. ADVFN is an investors hub for stocks, forex etc... I was turned onto this a few years ago.. I don't understand why it has never shown the Iraqi Dinar on their forex board... The company has live streaming on almost everything you would want, but, nothing on the dinar... any thoughts?? anyone??
  16. Arrived at Pit Intl last night and was picked up by a college.... He had spoke with the woman at the currency exchange as we do each time with pass through the airport. All the conversations were the same... the dinar is a waste of money and a scam, of the 27 years the woman had worked there, all revaluations of any currency was known one (1) year in advance. She said to sell the dinar (if you could) and don't waste your money. Last night 6/28/11 at approx. 7:30pm when JH questioned the woman, she said "she could talk about the Iraqi dinar at this time", when he asked if she had heard about any revaluation, that there were numerous rumors going around etc... She stated again "They could not talk about the Iraqi dinar at this time,... and they can not buy or sell... JH asked if that was due to it not being on the world market? She said "exactly"... Soooo, even the currency exchange, at least at Pitts Intl AP, has changed their tune..... Semper Fi...
  17. Again, if you look back in Iraq's history on changing the value of their currency, it's on the last working Thursday of the month unless Thursday is one of their many holidays, then it changed on the day before.. Wednesday. With the exception of one time which was 2003 after the invasion and down fall of Sadam... Just an observation...
  18. If the dinar does RV this month... it will be on the 30th... the last working Thursday of the month... past history on changing the value of their currency.... with the exception of 2003....
  19. WHY DOES THE DINAR HAVE TO RV HIGH?? IF IT HAS TO BE A TRADABLE CURRENCY IT COULD STAY THE SAME AS IT IS NOW... LOOK AT VIETNAM... 20875 VND TO ONE US $.... I BELIEVE THEY ARE PART OF THE WTO, SOOOO, CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY IRAQ HAS TO INCREASE THE VALUE OF THE DINAR? JUST BECAUSE IT HAS G&O OR ?? I SURE HOPE THEY DO, BUT A LOT OF INFO DOESN'T MAKE SINCE.. THE WTO FOR ONE.
  20. Second, which is the writer’s number 3 point, the $3.22 number does not come from thin air. In fact it is a number that has been mentioned specifically by the Ministry of Finance (they actually used $3.33) in 2007 when they stated that they had recommended to the CBI that this number be used. It was based on a “reinstatement” to a value that the IQD held PRIOR to the regime of Saddam Hussein. More importantly, in 2008 the CBI accepted this recommendation This statement is a fact, during a meeting of Arab Finance Ministers, which was held in Jordan back in Nov or Dec 07, Iraqi Finance Minister stated Iraq was looking at bring the dinar back to what it was in the 80's, That was around the $3.33 - $3.36 range. Do your home work, I was working in Iraq when this meeting and statement was made. Was posted on one of the original sites dinar sites. But, any amount would be acceptable at this point and time...
  21. If you are still getting mortered or rockets.... you are probably at JBB or W.. H.... I spent two years overethere a little closer to Iran, contractor... and people here in the states are paying to much for their dinar.... the mil. and guys were paying $100 for 117,000 dinar.... burt was getting it from an iraqi contractor in the falock.... I know what your saying ... but sure hope it's wrong... be safe ....
  22. Iraq had started removing the larger denoms back in March of 2008, I worked for a contractor from 2007 - 2009. By the time I left, Oct 09, we would hardly ever see a 25k or 10k notes and very few 5k's... when the guys bought dinar from iraqi contractors or the hodgies at the shops on base, they only came with 1k and a few 5k notes. The article makes perfect sense to me. The iraqi gov is going to have to something fast.... tmr would be great..
  23. I'm Sorry..... the tax statement was taxes that would have been paid for cashing in during 2010... now it will be, what, April 15th of 2012 before taxes are due to our illustrious government....
  24. This only my opinion... back in late 2007, a member of Dinar Rumor (I believe) had investigated when Iraq had changed their currency, either up or down. He had found that all currency changes happened on the last working Thursday of the month unless Thursday was a holiday then it changed on the Wednesday. Either way it changed on the last working day of the month. Soooooo, since the dinar is suppose to go up in value by the end of the year, this may be their thinking. Monday would be better but Thursday also works for me and it's only 4 days away.... Just my thoughts from watching and reading since Sept. 2007. We are down to the last min... The only down fall would be O would loose out on all that tax money he could have gotten from cashing in during 2010... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all... Semper Fi!!
