    Baghdad - people

Pictures showed part of the reception of the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in the city of Jeddah.

Al-Kazemi's media office said in a statement that "Nass" received a copy of it (July 15, 2022): "The Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi, arrived today, Friday, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accompanied by a high-ranking government delegation to participate in the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, and was received by him." Mr. Al-Kazemi, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

He added, "The Prime Minister will participate in the Jeddah Summit, according to an invitation received by Iraq from Saudi Arabia, in the presence of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, in addition to the United States of America."

He continued, "The summit will discuss files of cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and the challenges brought about by the Corona pandemic, the food security crisis, as well as climate changes."

Before leaving Baghdad, Al- Kazemi confirmed today, Friday, Iraq's ability to restore its leading role, through a policy of balance and zeroing in on problems.

Al-Kazemi said during a press conference, "Today we are responding to an invitation received by Iraq to participate in the Jeddah conference, which will be attended by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, in addition to the United States of America."

He added, "The conference will discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of energy, development, climate change, the challenges brought about by the Corona pandemic, the challenges of the war in Ukraine, and the repercussions of this war on food security." He continued, "I know that there are rumors from some that the conference has other goals, I say with all transparency: that this is inaccurate information, and attempts to confuse Iraq's role and restore its role in the region and in support system" rel="">support of its brothers and neighbors. This information is incorrect and there is no other agenda except for Coordination and cooperation on the issues raised.

He pointed out that "Iraq has not and will not be, neither today nor tomorrow, in any military axis or alliance. The national interest is the goal of these meetings, in order to reach common points that will reflect on the lives of citizens," stressing that "Iraq's position is firm and clear on the Palestinian issue and is not It is debatable, and Iraq cannot be a starting point for threatening any of the neighboring countries, and we will not allow any party to take Iraq as a starting point to threaten the neighbors, or create problems by using Iraqi lands.”

And he indicated that "during two years, we worked quietly to restore Iraq's role, and to make its policy clear in terms of balance, zeroing problems and working on moderation. Iraq in the past was a meeting place for civilizations, and today it will be a forum to bring views closer and reduce damages to the Iraqi people." Al-Kazemi said: "Praise be to God, Iraq has ended its isolation, and has become an effective element in the region, serving neighboring countries, and bringing points of view closer, all for the benefit of the Iraqi citizen."

He pointed out that "Iraq is the country most affected by climate change, and that is why we have taken a decision to open up to all our brothers and friends in the world by benefiting from their experiences in addressing this challenge with climate change and water issues." He continued: "Our motto from the first day of this government is: Iraq is first, and we will continue with this approach in order to serve our people, and our position is clear on the Palestinian issue, and there is nothing on the agenda of the conference to discuss the issue of normalization."

Al-Kazemi explained, "We will discuss with the Americans what we agreed on in the strategic agreement, and activate agreements in the field of education, culture, health, and other areas that are reflected in the economic role." In advance, "thanks to all the brothers who participated in the unified Friday prayer in Sadr City, east of Baghdad, which follows the path of the martyr Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr."

The Prime Minister also wished "the political parties to invest in the initiative put forward by Muqtada al-Sadr, which is a national initiative that deserves thanks, and for the political forces to benefit from this proposal in order to find solutions to our problems, and work to establish an Iraqi national government that serves all Iraqis."

"Today, we are in dire need of wisdom, patience, reconciliation with ourselves, and restoring confidence for the sake of Iraq and the Iraqis," he stressed.

    AND,,,Joey gives a fist bump!
