Lagolas I tried to ask the question "Can we believe the info posted on the CBI website?" in regards to dinar in circulation.....do you know what almost everyone said? "No" even Adam and Keep said the CBI numbers are probably not true. So, it just cracks me up that people will believe data that is out there if it supports an RV to their liking, and any data that does not is touted as "probable misinformation." My sister got me involved in this "investment" and I bought some before doing any research myself....usually I would say shame on me for that, but I didn't spend any more than I would gamble at the casino while on vacation, so it's not an issue.....for me. One thing she keeps throwing in my face are the articles where the CBI claims to have removed 70% of their currency (around 6 months ago?) from circulation.....do you recall that? But like you said....even if they removed 70% of the 28 trillion dinar, that would still leave 19.6 trillion dinar out there today...so as you say, a $1 RV would add $19.6 trilliion dollars of currency value into the market overnight which is what, at least twice as much value that is in circulation today? I can't see it happening either, it's an impossibility....period, even with all the "fractional banking" rhetoric being quoted. The numbers don't add up and the math never lies. I'm starting to think that if we tripled our money, it would be the best to hope for. LOP off the 000's and then RV to around Kuwaits value, but even that is wishful thinking? JMHO

The reality of it is that even after the dinar RV's , it will probably NOT be traded on the Forex for a few months, if at all. In any case, he cannot know this info ahead of time as he claims....but I think most of you already know that. I can't help feel pity for the uneducated that get sucked into this because of the Okies of the world.

If people didn't import Okie's lunacy to this site, I would never have to see it. I certainly would never go to his site to seek out his insanity. But I figure if some one on this site brings his shiite here, it might be because they have a compelling reason? Although I've been let down so many times, you would think I would know better by now.....It's like a potato chip, I know they are not good for me, but I can't eat just one? I have this little voice way in the back of my brain that brings up the same thing over and over and it's starting to give me second thoughts....so I'm throwing it out here for all to see; If the RV is foregone conclusion as so many want to believe, including myself.....then why are the Okie types out there pushing so hard with the "it's a done deal, cashouts have begun yeserday, can't stop it now" stories every 3 months? If anything, it's pumpers like Okie that discredit the RV story by being wrong time after time. It seems to me that they think the only way they can keep people interested in buying dinar is by yelling at the top of their lungs that the RV is here....even though we can obviously see for ourselves that it is not. Does this make sense to anyone? If the RV is going to happen because Iraq wants it, needs it and all the rest.....the factual info in conjunction with the possible profits alone are enough to keep us interested. People like Okie only hurt the RV story.....if I had just learned about this RV investment, but was exposed only to Okie's info, there would be no way I would buy it. I would have to see that he is a quack who just makes shiite up and couldn't see myself lending any validity to his rantings....I couldn't avoid coming to the conclusion that he is, to put it in technical terms...a whack job. JMHO

Carlos I'm not talking about small value changes in a currency that ocur daily bcause of inflation and Forex market demand.....we;re talking about a 1000 to 3000% change in value.....certainly you are not equating the two? And, I'm only stating my opinion based on what I see in the news, history and my knowledge of the brokerage industry which includes some currency trading. You made a statement of fact....the RV is not being held up because the Iraqis need educating of the process! Great....where did you see that info posted? Had I known that fact was out there, it would have belayed all my uncertainties. Obviously, you disagree...that's okay by me. I'm just trying to see all the sides instead of jumping on the band wagon just for the sake of taking a ride. I would rather make an attempt to see all the options and possible destinations before taking that trip.....don't like the ones that end up going over a cliff

I agree again....and since that info has not been found out, we can assume the banks don't have the lower denoms, yet. A lot of people "want" this RV badly, including me.....but that doesn't mean I can't look at the history of this thing and say, things just don't add up just yet. Some say the lower denoms have already been printed, at same time new larger denoms we have were printed. Some say the lower denoms have not been printed and articles suggest the design of them including Kurdish langauge on them has not been finalized? I don't klnow for fact which is true....do you? If the LD's have not even been printed yet, my timeline seems more realistic......if they are sitting around somewhere, they might be distributed soon to their banks and as you suggest, it won't be a secret for long and we should know. But for now, it does not appear that the LD's are ready to be handed out. So you are used to it....great to know. Looks like you'll be hearing them for a little longer

Completely disagree....the whole point of the RV is to increase the purchasing power of the dinar for the Iraqis....not to make currency speculators rich.

You actually strengthen my point......as for the car, that was just an easy math example. I could have used a loaf of bread at 5,000 dinar would then only cost 5 dinar after the RV. You mention the new lower denoms that would come out......good point, but let's not forget the Iraqi's bank account......one day they have 5,000,000 dinar in the bank, the next day they only have 5,000. The ramifications of the RV on the average Iraqi citizen are huge and the population must be educated with great detail and care for it to work properly.....or there could be mass riots in the streets. What if the US government was touting an increased value of the dollar that would benefit us tremendously....don't you think they would be explaining to us how it would affect us, our bank accounts, our physical currency and our new purchasing power in great detail......why expect the Iraqis to do less? Again....JMHO ...food for thought

We should be seeing much more detail......look at it this way, we have all these experts watching and interpreting the news and analyzing every word and we still haven't come to an agreed upon interpretation of those articles. No, if it's not crystal clear for us and our experts, it's not crystal clear for them. I'm looking for much more basic info that the Iraqi citizens should be getting in order to deal with an event that will affect every single one of them and their daily lives. Yah....I know about the suit. People tend to want to torch you if you say anything other than it's gonna be very soon. Sorry....I just don't see it. Wish I did, I've got dinar just like the rest of us.

The way most of us wants to see the RV happen is like this.....CBI announces a new $1 per dinar exchange rate less a fixed spread. To keep things simple, we'll say they will hold that rate for 6 months to give time to get all the large note out of circulation....after that, the big notes are worthless. This discourages holding onto the big bills in hopes of reaping a larger exchange rate down the road and so the CBI will know exactly where they stand after those 6 months. So, unless you are not too bright or out of touch with civilization everyone will exchange their dinar within those 6 months. My guess is the dinar will not trade on the Forex until at least after the 6 month period. Then depending upon how the CBI wants to regulate the future rate...fixed or managed float or as the market dictates if they choose that route on the Forex......this really does not matter as far as the initial RV is concerned. That's all speculation and another story....but for our sake, let's concentrate on the initial RV. So let's say you have 1 million dinar....you go to a bank that is participating in the Iraqi dinar RV and get your $1 million dollars less spread deposited into your new account once the dinar is authenticated as being real. You're happy, it's finally over and you move on with your life....right What about the average Iraqi citizen...how does the RV work for them? If they have 1 miilion dinar in their mattress or bank account....what do they do? They don't go to an Iraqi bank and exchange their dinar for $1 million US or ask that their bank account reflect dollars instead of dinar...do they? NO. What they do now have is a dinar that has much more purchasing power. If a car cost 20,000,000 dinar (about $20,000us) before the RV, it now costs only 20,000 dinar (about $20,000) after the RV. The Iraqi can buy a lot more with his dinar post RV. Here's my point.....in order for all this to happen, the Iraqis must get educated and everything has to be ready to get repriced....over night. All this activity is not something easily hidden and kept under wraps. Otherwise, there would be chaos in Iraq after an RV. Who would be looking out for the Iraqis to make sure they aren't getting ripped off by Iraqi businesses the day after an RV. remember this...the RV is for the benefit of the Iraqi people, not foreign investors such as us. The GOI should be looking to take care of the public to make sure all goes smooth for their citizens. As far as I can tell after talking to freinds and others who live in Iraq.....none of this education and price adjustment preparation is taking place now. I've simplified this as much as possible in hopes of making it easy to understand.....but in my humble opinion, since none of this in country prep seems to be underway I don't see the RV happening for a year or two. If the US economy collapses....so does the rest of the world. The US is a big buyer, if not the biggest of foreign manufacturers...so if we can't buy their stuff, their economies follows ours. Also, if our economy collapses, we can't pay our debt to other countries, then they can't pay their debts....domino affect. Look what the possible collapse of little countries like Greece and Spain are doing to Europe, if we go.....everybody goes. Not a pretty picture. The last thing you'll have to worry about is an RV....which isn't going to happen for a couple of years anyway. Don't get sucked into the "dinar RV was designed to fix the world economic problems" theory cause it's not true. That's just pumper trash to get you to buy more dinar. Stay thirsty my friend

They are full of him having intel like.....(10/11) the security ministers are set, we're ready to RV....5 months later, NO MINISTERS, NO RV (9/11) all the Iraqi finance people are in the US.....implying here to work on RV to happen any day now...6 months later, NO RV Those are just samples I remember off the top of my head.....do a little research and read his past posts....he's a pumper. I didn't say he was a bad guy...I don't know him, but he posts like he has intel that never sems to bear any fruit.....that makes him NOT credible....sorry if that ruffles your feathers Who is credible.....Adam is pretty credible, Knight98...anyone who's not trying to convince us that the RV is happening tomorrow or any day because they "know" some secret intel or have some inside contact.....that's just pure trash. Most people agree with me, People like Adam who tell us he "believes" the RV will happen but he qualifies it with it does not have to happen. There is no guarranty on date, rate or that it will happen at all. That's credible cause that's the best we can hope for....in my humble opinion

So what you're saying is....accept the articles that shine light on the Rv happening soon, cast doubt on the ones that rain on your parade Let me know how that works for you after you've posted more than 3 times.....I'll check back with you in a couple of years and see how optimistic you are then

You have to give it to these pumpers....they are a relentless group. They must be oozing with courage to keep attacking with the same old rhetoric, day after day, week afetr week, month after month, and year after year.....only to get slammed down each time. Either that, or they are the dumbest bunch on the planet? Willing to entertain thoughts...it's a slow night
