  1. Internet $49/month Netflix $9/month Hulu $9/month Skype phone $36/year Cable freedom - Priceless
  2. I would never disagree with the first statement other than to say that we don't know all that he said. And tying that back and into the second statement God was God during An Eye for an Eye and God was God when he had the Jews slaughter anyone he saw fit as they wondered the desert for 40 years. God created all things both Good and Bad. Here is an example I like to use to explain this concept: A great robotic scientist created a marvelous AI robot This robot was given free will by the scientist and promptly released into the world. One day the villagers came to the scientist in a rage complaining that the robot was reeking havoc, killing and destroying and they demanded that he put a stop to it. The scientist looked them dead in their eyes and proclaimed "I'm sorry, I can't do a thing. You see I gave that robot free will... There is just nothing I can do." "Can you please train your creations to behave themselves before releasing them" one villager said. Why would I do that he stated. What do you think the villagers did next?
  3. Nothing i have said goes against that... I am suggesting however that there is more information about "the way" than are in the Bible... The dead sea scrolls and Nag Hammadi Library are the Bible and more. Not just additional stories but the unedited versions of the exact one of the Bible as well. The counsel of Nicea is a fact... when Christians first learn of this and take the time to understand if it is true the mostly end up hearing some preacher say that God decided to make the Bible for a reason. Well if that is ones logic one must believe the counsel of Nicea's own stated reason for creating the Bible..."Because the Gnostic scriptures are to hard for the average person to understand." Don't help people be smarter... no.. make the information dumber. Make it into a nice comfortable package that is like a warm blanket or pacifier. I prefer the truth... I don't lie to children and say there is a Santa Clause and I don't lie to adults about the edited Bible.
  4. Thank you for the thoughtful question As far as what the Bible says... I am Gnostic. The Bible is Cliff Notes as far as a Gnostic is concerned. The Dead Sea Scrolls being considered Gnostic are the same stories you read in the Bible but before the counsel of Nicea got a hold of them. Watching Christians defend partial stories as if they hold complete truth has offered a very humbling experience. They are not believing or defending Lies but pieces of truth... as one ponders that one realizes there really is no earthly way to tell the whole truth which makes even Gnostic scriptures hardly better than the cliff notes that are the Bible. All of these religions as it turns out are pieces of truth and along the path you learn to cherish each of them as that. Now we all understand that a partial truth can be very dangerous... the remedy however is not to decide that your piece is the best. The remedy is not to take harsh actions based on them but be patient and begin to put the puzzle together. If one never take the time to stop hating the other you never begin to understand the truths or the mistakes they are making with their pieces. I have read a bit of the Koran myself.. the beating your wife part is very disturbing... just like a New Testament follower would say An Eye for an Eye is (remember you hypocrites that Jesus never called that wrong.) The Koran also has some beauty... "Allah can reach into the darkest darkness and pull out light." As far as Judaism they themselves have the Zohar and Kabbalah which echo Hinduism more then you can know without looking into both of them. Everyone is wrong. We are all wrong because none of us has the whole story. I look forward to speaking to Jesus one day myself and hope I can learn as much as he has to offer. Until then and perhaps even after I am and Idiot myself. Knowing that keeps me looking for truth and knowledge. Hearing someone say something is this way or that is like being surrounded by people that haven't even graduated to being idiots
  5. When I was a pre-teen I was in church one day. The church was mostly empty as we were there practicing for some event (choir practice perhaps?) And older lady came in to see the Pastor I would guess and as she passed me she saw that I was chewing gum. Now I know that people can at times not dispose of gum correctly, children even more so. This woman stopped and told me that I was not to chew gum in church and that it was not Gods will. I had to make a decision... Either God is an idiot that can't tell that I am completely capable of not sticking my gum under the pew or this woman had decided that she did not like it and was using God as her own personal qualifier for what ever she wished? Well I decided that God was not an idiot but instead it was this woman. I am reminded that when Jesus came he had lots of people accusing him of not following Gods will by sighting things from the old testament and how they were observe and how Jesus was not observing them. If I recall correctly Jesus told them that those rules were for those people of that time because that is was they could understand... He did not call them wrong. Now I listen to you idiots saying that Allah is not God and I am reminded again of what Jesus said. That book (the Koran) is for them. If you don't agree with it well fine but it's not your place to say that it is or isn't from God. All I can say on the matter is that Abraham had two sons and the angle Gabriel is said to have given a revelation to Mohamed. Is that right.. I don't know? But I do know how little I know and It's shocking how few of you know that about yourselves.
  6. WOW!!! Maybe he meant that God can't list them all in the Bible as it's a finite book?
  7. They are not the same at all... Jesus came to be Crucified... When the time came he asked God to "Remove this cup from my hand." aka I don't want to be Crucified. God had no doubt that this was to be done so why did Jesus? There is only one reason and it is because he is the Son of God... Not God. Jesus knew this was his fate... yet he wanted it taken from him. God never forgot that. How can anyone in their right mind say there is no difference Between God and his Son I'll never know. People have been brainwashed to believe that they are the same so anyone saying that they are not is met with anger and accusations. I am not putting down Jesus at all. I am just pointing out who he is and not the comforting nonsense people have been fed. God makes the decisions.. not Jesus. I have just quoted Jesus's words (In Bold) that undoubtedly prove this yet many will still not want to understand.
  8. Reminds me of this: They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
  9. Sounds clear enough to me that God makes the decisions.... Hey Dad this guy is Okay but that Guy is not... There is only one reason to make that statment... Jesus is not the one making the decisions. If it were Jesus it would read like this: 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I give entry into heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny entry into heaven. See the difference? There is an even more relevant part that explains this that I don't want to go looking for right now (New Testament of course) about 2 men, one thinks he is good and will not get into Heaven and one thinks he is bad and prays how sorry he is that he is bad and will get into Heaven. I cringe every time I hear someone say they are saved and I think of that passage... According to that passage the person that would never be stupid or bold enough to say "I am saved" is more likely to get in. Which is supposed to let you know that it's not up to you or anyone to decide if you get into heaven... it's up to God.... Telling yoursefl that some type of water blessing and some confession that you tell yourself you believe is going to give you entry into Heaven does not match up with the Bible I know or most of the people I know who claim they are saved and the thngs they asy and do... The preacher does not get to save you not even if everyone in your perish agrees that you are "saved" "I am saved and I know I am saved by the blood of the lamb" Well I hope for your sake you are because what I read in the Bible tells me to never assume that I have the ability or right to think that no matter what good thing or what humility I can bring upon myself. Step 1: don't deny Jesus is the son of God.. Okay no problem but that is not entry into Heaven and people telling you that make you less likely to keep trying to better yourself aka admit you are currently 'bad' and keep praying for improvement. Why pray for insight on how to be better "I have been saved by the bood of the lamb" A preacher making you lazy by offerng you "welfare" for your soul as far as I am concerned... you might as well say 3 hail Mary's and pray the Rosery 10 times to get into Heaven. Like I said I cringe everytime I hear that.
  10. I beg to differ.. God was God long before Jesus came to be or Buddha or Mohamed. Putting a timeline on God is silly.... basically you are saying "we were here first.. nanna nanna boo boo." I don't care how wrong any of these 'faiths" is because none of them is completely correct. Even if one were to believe the Bible it's still just a partial story of Jesus's life... there are many things that were said by Jesus that are "true" but we have no idea what they are. They weren't lies.. so there are plenty of truths that were said that you have no idea of. I do know this, the Bible says that no one decides who gets to Heaven but God (sure Jesus can put in a word for you if he likes.) If anyone promises you Salvation I would question that very seriously cut out the middle man and develop a personal relationship with God. Even the Bible says that there is nothing you can do to get into Heaven so stop listening to the 10,000 versions of each 'faith', be still and pray.
  11. I agree that the Bible is clear where succession lies. This thread however is not about that. To say that they are not the same God is just plain wrong...
  12. The God of Abraham is the God of both faiths you have listed. Gabriel from the Bible is listed as the Angel that gave Mohamed his Revelation. Make of that what you will but Abraham had to sons.. the first with his handmaiden and the second with his wife. The first son became the people of Islam and the second the people of Israel.
  13. I always though that Jeff Goldblum had the Best Scientist roles of all time. Of course best Actor is Gary Oldman hands down.. He was Zorg, Dracula, He stole the heart of his brothers wife (Kate Beckinsale) as a little person, He was in True Romance for christ sake. More range and talent then anyone IMHO. I'd still reather be just half as cool as Jeff Goldblum as a Scientist

  18. I don't know how credible this report is but it looked credible enough for me to wonder if something is happeing. Please post any personal Banking Issues you are having from December 20th on so we can see if there is any thing going on here.. I'm guessing it will only take a week or two at the most to figure this out. If you have first hand knowledge of a close friend or relative that is fine to post as well just be sure to explain the relationship. Perhaps it's just hype but here is the article: http://www.thecommonsenseshow.com/2014/12/30/american-bank-bail-ins-beginning/ Bail-Ins Appear to Be Beginning On Monday, one man that I personally know recently attempted to transfer a sizable sum of money (i.e. $110,000) from savings to checking to cover a check he had written for a large purchase. He attempted to move the money through online banking, which nobody should ever engage in, and was unsuccessful. He went to the bank and was subsequently told that there was a problem with his account and he could only transfer about 10% of what he intended to transfer from savings to checking. He inquired as to what the problem was and he was told that the branch did not have access to that information, only that he would not be permitted to make this transfer of funds “at this time”. Today, the charge will hit the bank and the check that he wrote is likely to bounce and will have serious ramifications to his credit. He told me that he is returning to his bank, Chase, with his attorney. In a more serious situation, a man who has direct deposit from his employer to his bank account, has failed to receive his latest check. The money was due to be paid into his account on December 20, 2014. He called his employer’s accounts payable and was told that the credit had posted on the evening of December 19. Yet, the bank has told this desperate man that they have not received his check. The check also included an end of year bonus and as such is sizable (e.g. in excess of $60,000). This means that the bank has had his money for nine days and cannot account for the money. I have advised this Bank of America account holder to contact the FBI and report this as a crime. Both victims approached me , about a week apart, because they were both aware that I had previously written articles which are highly critical of the banking system with regard to how insolvent they truly are and they hoped I would have some insight as to what they could to gain access to their money. The purpose of this article is to fire a shot across the bow of the banks and let them know that we are raising the alarms of what is going on. Where there are two instances of bank thievery, there are two hundred cases. I am requesting that anyone with knowledge of bankster crimes against their depositors pass along this information to myself and I will attempt to synthesize the information and report on the trend curves in these matters as they are occurring. By the way, Mac Salvo, reported this same kind of crime last month. ___________________________________ The article is bigger than that but that was the relevant part
  19. Wow super kind of you Whatshername +1 for you
  20. Now that that is over if anyone wishes to actually comment on the video, what it actually says and not their feelings that would be refreshing. I'm sure there are plenty threads where people can talk about feelings.
  21. This is now third I've had to state that that video does not say that... I even showed what it did say and you have ignored it. You are starting to piss me off. Either quote exactly what you are refering to or leave this thread.
  22. A Libertarian is more concerned with self governance than governance... which just happens to fit nicely with non-violence/non-aggression. Libertarian = what I do in my own house is my own business. Non-violence/non-aggression = getting things done without the use of force. Libertarian + non-violence/non-aggression = You can ask me to do something and I might agree but you can not force me to do anything... If you try to force me than I can force you to stop but that is the extent of my use of force.
