  1. WOW is all I can say! http://www.thedailysheeple.com/cops-arrest-public-defender-for-refusing-to-let-them-interrogate-her-client-without-counsel_022015 San Francisco deputy public defender Jami Tillotson was arrested on Tuesday outside a courtroom in the city’s Hall of Justice after officers say she resisted arrest and interfered with a police investigation. Tillotson says she was just doing her job and advising her client of his right not to be questioned without an attorney present. “This is not Guantanamo Bay. You have an absolute right to have a lawyer with you when you’re questioned. Ms. Tillotson was simply doing her job,” said San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi at a Wednesday press conference cited by SFGate. Adachi launched the presser to express his office’s outrage over Tuesday’s arrest of public defender Jami Tillotson, which was caught on tape in the video embedded below. Tillotson was exiting a courtroom in San Francisco’s Hall of Justice Tuesday afternoon with a client accused of shoplifting and a co-defendant when plainclothes San Francisco Police Department Sergeant Brian Stansbury and four uniformed officers approached and asked Tillotson to step aside so that officers could take photos of her client without her present. Though police on the scene did not explain themselves at the time, they intended to question her client and obtain photos for a lineup in connection with a separate case in which they say her client is a person of interest, which they interpreted as “consensual questioning,” rather than a formal interrogation. The officers felt that, due to the fact that Tillotson’s client had not been arrested on that specific charge, they were entitled to question the suspect without Tillotson present and ordered her to step aside to allow them to take photographs. When she refused to step aside, Sergeant Brian Stansbury said that she would be arrested for “resisting arrest” if she did not comply. Tillotson stood firm in her refusal and was arrested.

  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-31042477 Want to gain entry to your office, get on a bus, or perhaps buy a sandwich? We're all getting used to swiping a card to do all these things. But at Epicenter, a new hi-tech office block in Sweden, they are trying a different approach - a chip under the skin. Felicio de Costa, whose company is one of the tenants, arrives at the front door and holds his hand against it to gain entry. Inside he does the same thing to get into the office space he rents, and he can also wave his hand to operate the photocopier. That's all because he has a tiny RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip, about the size of a grain of rice, implanted in his hand. Soon, others among the 700 people expected to occupy the complex will also be offered the chance to be chipped. Along with access to doors and photocopiers, they're promised further services in the longer run, including the ability to pay in the cafe with a touch of a hand. On the day of the building's official opening, the developer's chief executive was, himself, chipped live on stage. And I decided that if was to get to grips with this technology, I had to bite the bullet - and get chipped too. The whole process is being organised by a Swedish bio-hacking group which was profiled by my colleague Jane Wakefield recently. One of its members, a rather fearsome looking tattooist, inserted my chip. First, he massaged the skin between my thumb and index finger and rubbed in some disinfectant. The he told me to take a deep breath while he inserted the chip. There was a moment of pain - not much worse than any injection - and then he stuck a plaster over my hand. Before trying my chip out, I wanted to know more about the thinking behind it. Hannes Sjoblad, whose electronic business card is on his own chip and can be accessed with a swipe of a smartphone, has the title chief disruption officer at the development. I asked him whether people really wanted to get this intimate with technology. "We already interact with technology all the time," he told me. "Today it's a bit messy - we need pin codes and passwords. Wouldn't it be easy to just touch with your hand? That's really intuitive." When I tested my chip, I found that it was not all that intuitive - I had to twist my hand into an unnatural position to make the photocopier work. And while some of the people around the building were looking forward to being chipped, others were distinctly dubious. "Absolutely not," said one young man when I asked him if he'd sign up. An older woman was more positive about the potential of the technology but saw little point in being chipped just to get through a door. But Hannes Sjoblad says he and the Swedish Biohacking Group have another objective - preparing us all for the day when others want to chip us. "We want to be able to understand this technology before big corporates and big government come to us and say everyone should get chipped - the tax authority chip, the Google or Facebook chip." Then, he says, we'll all be able to question the way the technology is implemented from a position of much greater knowledge. I've returned to Britain with a slightly sore hand - and a chip still under my skin which has my contact details on it. Not that useful, but no doubt more sophisticated chips will soon replace wearable technology like fitness bands or payment devices, and we will get used to being augmented. All sorts of things are possible - whether it becomes culturally acceptable to insert technology beneath our skin is another matter
  5. Not to mention there is tons of info on using juicing on correcting that http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/361902/Veggie-juice-diabetes-cure Andrew and Carol West, who run a health retreat in Spain, say the huge financial drain on the NHS caused by the obesity epidemic gripping Britain can be eased by changing people’s approach to food. They claim type two diabetes, which is caused by the presence of too much sugar in the blood and normally affects adults in their forties, can be cleansed by highly nutritious meals and juices, lots of water and gentle exercise. A recent study found that 2.9million Brits now suffer from type two diabetes, costing the NHS a staggering £11.9billion and causing 24,000 deaths a year. Another 850,000 people are thought to have undiagnosed diabetes and the condition is affecting younger age groups due to the typical western diet being high in fat, animals Andrew and Carol were both overweight and suffering from poor health when they started researching the effects of diet on the human body seven years ago. Andrew, 48, had spent 16 years with Leicestershire Police, reaching the rank of inspector before being forced to retire on health grounds. He suffered from such severe stomach reflux that he would wake up at night struggling to breath and had a stress-related breakdown. Carol, 46, was a nursery nurse who also had stomach issues, so they tried having a vegetable juice every morning for breakfast and within a month felt better and had lost weight. They started a clinic in a house they owned in Spain, offering a three-day detox package using juices every morning and three sessions with Carol. These were so popular that they decided to open Obsidian Health Retreat in a five-bedroom place in March last year, so their clients could stay with them, before moving into a 26-bedroom former hotel in Benissa, near Alicante, in February this year, employing 26 staff and offering counselling, daily walks, yoga, tai chi and zumba classes, and juicing and cooking demonstrations. Their customers are mainly British but also come from America and Australia, with a seven-day package starting at £500 for a shared room. The daily weight loss for clients on their juicing diet is 1.1lbs per person. Andrew said: “Research has shown that if diabetes sufferers change their diets, within a few days they will see a massive drop in blood sugar levels. “We were suspicious of this at first until we saw it happen. “People with high blood pressure and joint problems also see great results within a week.” Father-of-three Steve Booker was able to reverse his type two diabetes and stop taking medication after just four days at Obsidian. Steve, 46, was diagnosed with the condition two years ago and told he would have to take drugs to control it for the rest of his life. In running his own training company in the construction industry, based in Tonbridge, Kent, he had a bad diet and was suffering from stress. He went to the retreat for 10 days in July this year with wife Kandy after getting fed up of friends telling him he looked pale and unwell. Despite being sceptical of life coaching and counselling, he threw himself into and was amazed to have lost a stone and a half in weight after 10 days. He said: “I have tried extreme diets before and it felt like you were starving yourself, it was a constant battle. “The juicing diet was a great catalyst and they gave the support you need to change your mindset without it being a drudge.” Steve has lost three and a half stone since starting his new diet and his wife has lost a stone and a half. Andrew said: “Our aim is to show people that there is another way. It is not to make people vegans, it is to get them off medication. “If people leave and take just part of our diet with them they will improve their lives. Juice for breakfast provides the nutrition the body needs, and things like cheese and meat become treats. “We were never meant to eat meat two or three times a day, particularly poor quality meat.” The couple are now looking to open another retreat in the south-west of England to cater for people not wanting to fly to Spain and have also set their sights on opening a third retreat in the US.

  8. https://www.organicfacts.net/health-benefits/cereal/health-benefits-of-barley.html If you are having a difficult time suffering from asthma, arthritis, impotence, skin problems, anemia, obesity, constipation, diabetes, hypertension, kidney problems or heart disease, perhaps it’s time for you to learn about the health benefits of barley. Recent research says that consuming whole grain barley regulates blood sugar to a great extent. The health benefits of barley are mostly attributable to the eight essential amino acids which it contains, meaning that it represents a complete protein in our diet. There are so many rampant ailments in recent years, which proves even more that our regular diets lack important nutrients. One of the most important nutrients that we often tend to neglect is fiber. Barley is an excellent source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, which assures you good overall health over the long term. Before we move on to the health benefits of barley, you will be pleased to know that you can consume barley in many kinds of preparations like salads, soups, stew, and even with chicken, mutton or in the tandoori style. Therefore, it will not add value just to your health but also to your palate. Health Benefits of BarleyKeeps Colon and Intestine Healthy: Barley, being an excellent source of fiber, keeps your body toxin-free. Barley grass, which is rich in dietary fiber, acts as a fuel source to the friendly bacteria of our large intestine. These bacteria help in fermenting the fiber content of the barley, thereby forming butyric acid, which is the primary fuel for intestinal cells. Barley is greatly effective in maintaining a healthy colon. By keeping the intestine in proper health, barley helps you to decrease the movement time of feces and keeps your stomach clean. It greatly reduces the chances of colon cancer and hemorrhoids as well. Prevents Gallstones: Barley effectively helps women avoid developing gallstones. Since barley is rich in insoluble fiber, it actually helps you to reduce bile acid secretion, thereby increasing insulin sensitivity and lowering the levels of triglycerides. Reportedly, in an article of the American Journal of Gastroenterology, women have a 17% lower risk of having gallstones as compared to others not consuming a fibrous diet. Prevents Osteoporosis: The phosphorus and copper content in barley grass guarantees overall good health of bones. The phosphorous content in barley effectively cures bone and tooth ailments. If you have osteoporosis, barley can be your natural remedy. Barley grass juice is known to have 11x greater calcium content than milk. Calcium, as we know, is one of the key components in protecting bone health. The manganese content in barley works in association with B-complex vitamins, thereby keeping the overall health intact. We need manganese for normal bone production, as well as in cases of iron deficiency anemia. Supports Immune System: The vitamin C content in barley is almost twice than that of oranges. This vitamin particularly strengthens your immune system and reduces the chances of cold and flu. Iron improves the blood volume and prevents anemia and fatigue. It aids in proper kidney functioning and the development of body cells. Furthermore, barley contains copper, which forms hemoglobin and red blood cells. Preserves Skin Elasticity: Barley is a good source of Selenium, which helps you to preserve skin elasticity, thereby protecting it against free radical damage and loosening. Moreover, it also improves our heart, pancreas, and immune system functioning. A deficiency of selenium can lead to cancers of the skin, colon, prostate, liver, stomach, and breast. Controls Blood Cholesterol Levels: Barley’s insoluble fiber yields propionic acid that helps keep the blood cholesterol levels low. Barley, being an excellent source of both soluble and insoluble fibers, is also specifically recommended by doctors for its naturally low-fat content and zero cholesterol properties. Manages Diabetes: Barley works effectively on Type 2 diabetes. However, we can prevent this type of diabetes by losing weight, getting involved in vigorous physical activity and including abundant whole grains in our diet. Therefore, high fiber foods like barley should be included in the daily diet of diabetic patients. Barley grain has all the essential vitamins and minerals, particularly beta-glucan soluble fiber, that slows down glucose absorption. The December 2006 edition of Nutrition Research has proved that insulin-resistant men who consumed barley beta-glucan soluble fiber had significantly reduced glucose and insulin levels as compared to others test subjects. Prevents Heart Disease & Cancer: Barley contains certain types of phytonutrients known as plant lignans, which are transformed by friendly flora in our intestines into mammalian lignans. One of these new lignans is called enterolactone, which helps us to prevent breast and other hormonal cancers as well as coronary or heart disease. Protects Against Atherosclerosis: Atherosclerosis is a condition when the artery walls thicken due to the coagulation or deposition of fatty materials like cholesterol. Barley contains niacin (a B vitamin complex) that reduces the overall cholesterol and lipoprotein levels and minimizes cardiovascular risk factors. Postmenopausal women having high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or cardiovascular diseases are specifically recommended to have barley at least 6 times a week. Prevents Asthma: 14.5 kDa is a barley endosperm protein and a major allergen in baker’s asthma disease. This is an airborne occupational ailment, mostly prevalent in confectioneries and bakeries. Barley proves to be very effective preventative measure for such kinds of major wheat-flour allergens. When you think of buying barley, you first need to decide what form of barley you should buy. Barley is found in various forms, and each of them has varied nutritional value. Whole grain barley has the ultimate nutritional value, found in its grain, leaves and even the extract of the grass. Forms of Barley NutritionBarley Grass is the seedling of the barley plant. This grass is usually harvested about 200 days after germination, while the shoots are not even a foot tall. People consume barley in this form because the young leaves are rich in minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and amino acids. Although barley grains have much more dietary fiber in comparison, the grass has high levels of chlorophyll that detoxifies your body from harmful toxins. Hulled Barley is also known as covered barley and is usually eaten after removing the inedible, fibrous outer hull. Once the hull is removed, it’s known as dehulled barley, pot barley or scotch barley. Hulled barley is a great source of healthy nutrients. Hulled barley takes a long time to soak when used in regular cooking. However, the time is worth it, considering the utility of dehulled barley when you’re finished. Dehulled barley is commercially popular as pearl barley, and is a very marketable product. The process of removing the bran and polishing is known as “pearling”. Pearl Barley is easily available in the grocery stores and probably one of the most common ingredients for breakfast and snacks recipes all over the world. These are actually hulled barley that is processed and the bran is removed. This is processed into a host of barley products like flours and flakes, which resemble oatmeal or grits. Barley Green Powder is well known for its medicinal benefits. It is actually the powder form of barley grass, sometimes mixed with additional vitamins and minerals. Today, many companies sell barley powder that comes from pure barley grass. These grasses are found in a variety of flavors and have superior solubility. Therefore, you can also consume them as barley juice. Barley Flour is often used alternatively as wheat flour or cake flour. The flour found from whole barley is richer in nutrition than pearl barley flour since the bran in the former form remains undamaged. This non-wheat flour is obtained from grinding whole barley. It contains some gluten and has been very popular in confectioneries that tend to experiment with alternate kinds of flours. It has a mild, nutty flavor, and this flour has comparatively lower rates of calories and higher levels of fiber. Barley Water is effective when your kidneys need rest from excessive stress. People suffering from kidney and bladder ailments can take barley water for therapeutic uses. Barley is widely available as a commercial product all over the world in various forms. You need to know the exact form that will cater best to your needs. The pearled, flaked and hulled forms have different utilities, so decide what you want to make before making the purchase. Barley is found both in bulk containers and packaged form; ensure its freshness before taking it home. If you buy barley in containers, check the date and also be sure that it’s sealed properly. Even a small amount of moisture content in packaged barley can spoil the cereal, so be careful if buying it in containers. Store barley in clean, glass containers having air tight covers and place it in a cool, dry place. During the summer, it’s advisable to keep barley in the refrigerator.

  10. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/01/19/man-relives-bone-chilling-moment-when-a-neighbor-kicked-through-his-door-and-came-at-him-with-a-machete-it-was-like-the-shining/ James Cvengros lived with the horrific memory for nearly a year — and then a few days ago in an Idaho courtroom he watched it unfold all over again…on video…for the very first time. Cvengros, 29, had started to document the alarming behavior of his 54-year-old neighbor Twain Thomas — in case something goes wrong, he figured, visual evidence might help him out. After all, one time Thomas reportedly kicked in Cvengros’ door over loud music. What could be next? One day last February, Cvengros found out. Things were much worse in their Pocatello apartment building — windows breaking, other neighbors screaming — so he hit “record” and pointed his camera at his front door. Suddenly Thomas starting beating on Cvengros’ apartment door, and Cvengros can be heard on the video telling Thomas he’s armed. Undeterred Thomas kicked a hole right through the door. Then he bashed down the rest of it with his hands and strolled on through holding a machete and threatening Cvengros and his girlfriend. “I just remember the look in his eye,” Cvengros told the Idaho State Journal. “It was like ‘The Shining.’” The video — which Cvengros immediately turned over to police without having watched it — includes the sound of three shots fired at Thomas. He was hit by all three. Cvengros told the State Journal that Thomas went down only after the third shot; he’s heard moaning through the rest of the clip, which goes black shortly after the shots and then includes audio only. “Seeing the video kind of brought it all back,” Cvengros told the paper. “But there’s not a doubt in my mind that I did the right thing.” While Cvengros waited for police to arrive, the State Journal reported that Thomas admitted he had intended to kill the couple. Thomas pleaded guilty to attempted murder and aggravated assault and was handed a combined prison sentence of 10 years fixed and 10 years indeterminate for both charges, the State Journal reported. During the trial, defense attorney Dave Martinez said Thomas’ neuro-psychologist found he suffered from PTSD and frontal-lobe damage to his brain after a car accident. “His fight-or-flight is constantly on overdrive,” the psychologist said, KDIK-TV reported. Martinez said Thomas wasn’t aware of what he was doing and came to after being shot. “I have never had anything like this happen before in my life,” Thomas told the court, KDIK noted After the first time Thomas kicked-in his door, Cvengros started doing research on handguns. “I decided that it was my responsibility to protect myself and my girlfriend,” he told the State Journal. “I chose a 9mm because it’s popular with police and the military,” Cvengros told the paper. “And I wanted something that wouldn’t be so big I couldn’t handle the recoil.” Since the February shooting, Cvengros bought two more handguns, and his girlfriend upgraded her .22 pistol to a higher caliber, the State Journal reported. Cvengros also said he wants to get a concealed weapons permit. “Before this, my mom was absolutely anti-gun,” he told the paper. “Not anymore.” Far from cold or numb, Cvengros sounded on the video quite upset over the shooting — and the issue is an important one to him. “As good Christian people, we know it’s wrong to kill,” Cvengros told the paper. “But we all have the right to defend ourselves.” Bannock County Prosecutor Steve Herzog agreed. “You have the right to defend yourself and your home, and you can use deadly force,” Herzog said. “The fact that (Cvengros) had the forethought to record the event and the way it all unfolded, I couldn’t imagine a better outcome.”
  11. This is very direct advice and I just wanted to get people minds around how to think of what is happening. This fellows advice has been on point for some time however I don't recommend you follow it but understand the importance of it and how all this is working and make your own decisions
