What??????? Ben Carson is a verified GENIUS! Surely you were meaning someone else. The Carson campaign was the only presidential campaign I ever sent money to. Shabs, surely your aware of the fact that most politicians for the largest part of our existence as a country were not lifelong elected officials. They were business men, farmers etc. who wanted to serve and make a difference.

I also find it comical that the guy that called Gaetz out is the same stalwart academic who thought Guam would tip over if we stationed more Marines there. When the Dems have guys like this sitting on a committee of such importance, it's hard to take them seriously.

Then we have an investigation and turns out EVERYTHING he said in his memo was true and the so called "fact checkers" were totally and completely wrong!!!

High "CRIMES" and "MISDEMEANORS"....... nope, that actually refers to real terms of law. Trump did talk about other issues of corruption on the phone call. "Cloud Strike" was mentioned and talked about as was corruption in general when Trump told him he was concerned Zelinsky was surrounding himself with some of the same bad apples the previous admin had. Did you know that we have a treaty signed with Ukraine that simply states that prior to aide being released to them, it needed to be accounted for and corruption rooted out and dealt with. It could successfully be argued that Trump was just upholding the terms of the treaty already in place.

I understand background loop holes. I would not have any issue with a background check being done on any person prior to getting a gun even if it's gifted or not. It takes about 30 minutes and that's all. What worries me about it is what will those in charge do with the lists generated. Beto scared the hell out of me! I fail to see what the wrong was on Trumps part. Yes, he asked for help in investigating Biden. So? If we want law and order to stand, if we want truth to prevail, if we want facts then we must have some investigations. I wasn't against the Mueller Investigation. I thought it dragged on too long but I was for it. If Trump did something wrong, it needed to be found out. He didn't. Biden needs the same thing done to him. Don't come at me with how it would hurt the candidacy of Trumps rival. Isn't that was impeachment is about? Dems know that Trump will not be removed. Neither of the impeachment articles have any basis in law. You can not find them in any law book in America. Lets have investigations, lets have trials and lets have the chips fall where they may!!

Shabs and Boston, where was the outcry for support for Ukraine when Russia initiated their aggression? If you will recall, the annexing of parts of Ukraine by Russia took place under the previous admin. What did Obama send? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Trump has at least sent actual military aide and supplies that can be used for fighting. This is why those on the right call out the left for hypocrisy. Heck, when Romney (NOT A FAN) suggested that Russia was our biggest threat, Obama told him the 80's wanted their foreign policy back. In order to be truly honest, you have got to at least own up to the fact that the previous admin did absolutely nothing to thwart Putin and his plans to annex!

Even though WTI prices have been holding steady, drilling has decreased dramatically. Stock holders and investors are now wanting to slow way down on future development and get returns on current production instead. That of course is the first pull of the rubber band. They will slow down new production, price will go up and up, rubber band will get pulled back farther and farther, production will then increase again and the rubber band will be let go of and the price will plummet. I've been part of the rubber band effect for 35 years!!!

Not royalty. Just the man of the hour. America is winning by the way. Jobs numbers are at record highs and unemployment at record lows. Tax cuts and deregulation worked. IRS just announced yesterday that they took in record levels of revenue in the previous qtr. Now, if congress would stop spending and balance the budget, we might be able to sustain the growth but we all now that will not happen so the debt bubble will get us all soon enough!!

I agree and that's where our policy issues differ. I for one think we pass way TOO MANY LAWS!!!!! My issue was in you acting as if Trump finally did something bipartisan because of impeachment. That is a false narrative because Nancy had the trade agreement on her desk long before the current impeachment process started. She just refused to act on it. I can't explain why she delayed it. I know she wanted things added and changed but those things were agreed to long ago.

As for the whole gag order on those listed above. Lets be honest here please. It's called separation of powers. Trump is allowed to block testimony from the Executive Branch just as Obama did. It took 1 1/2 years to get Holder to testify about Fast and Furious. If the House really wanted to, they could have taken the Executive Branch to court in order to force testimony. That's the way the law is written. They chose not to do so. What would the response be if Trump called on members of Congress or their staff to come to the White House and testify? Granted, Congress has oversight powers that the Executive Branch does not have but the rules laid out are that they can go to court and request that subpoenas be honored. They decided not to that. Now, the Senate can issue those subpoenas and use the courts to enforce them. I wonder what Schiff will sound like on the witness stand!?!!?

There's a huge difference from Trump's kid, who keeps a low profile and remains quiet and GT who takes a vocal stand. She tells us that we have 12 years left. I'm old enough to remember all the other "scientific" predictions like "an ice age is coming", "no ice caps by 2012", "global warming will make most of the world uninhabitable by 2015" and so on and so on. When someone makes a bold statement like GT has and does, questioning should come no matter how old the person is that made the statement. Now understand this, my degree is geology. The Senate and the House negotiated the tweaks. Now that Nancy is doing her part finally, Mitch should bring it up but from what I am reading, he wants to tackle impeachment first. That would be a mistake. Trump negotiated a far superior deal than NAFTA was. We need to implement it!
