  1. Jeez people.... When did all this come to be a Columbo episode? Who gives a flying frito fizart who's who? We're basically here for the entertainment with the topic being the dinar. No one here is gonna have an "edge" over anyone else due to info posted anywhere on this site. Lighten up 'erbody. I must admit, it does keep things a bit amusing here in dinarworld. WOW, what a great name for another dinar forum so we can pass around the same regurgatated stuff we find elsewhere that ends up here. Maybe Montana should put up a disclaimer stating that we take all info herein as entertainment, news, rumors, and all. The bashing and whodunit/who's-who stuff does crack me up though. So by all means, keep up the free entertainment. Anyone guitar savvy/savee(sp)? Maybe we can come up with a little dinar ditty to pass the time?
  2. I see that Scooby Doo is catching a little heat over his comment. I see this scenerio as something of major importance IF it regards the RV with all the dignataries(sp) coming to town. Iraq is a NEW country! That is huge! Big News! Perhaps the Iraqi's want to "pitch" their newly democracized country to the rest of the middle east and the rest of the world in grand fashion! Isn't that feasible? I mean, Iraq is very underdeveloped and now they have a colossal opportunity to be a middle eastern powerhouse and "keep up with the Jones's" without a dictator dictating money, resources, people, etc. Now, wouldn't you put on a spectacle of sorts to show off, wave, wink, and elbow nudge at the leaps and bounds that have occured and achieved thus far? GO RV! Great post, and i dont care who you are, this is a great wave to ride. And posts such a this keeps us thirsty.
  3. I don't wanna sound too pessamistic towards out reality we live with/in daily. I mean, heck, times aint like they used to be. If big brother thinks that you are up to no good, then why not follow prior patriot act protocol and deal with it accordingly? I dont get it. And not gonna lose sleep over it. The citizens and people of this great country are paying more for these terrorist atrocities than the ignorant purveyors of terrorism themselves. I recieved a business card pushing the Alex Jones deal, though i dont agree with much he says, he is entertaining. The card read: " If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy - by James Madison. We could go on and on with arguments about the rights and wrongs of our Gov, so instead of doing that, just vote Ron Paul in 2012, and maybe then we can get back to some normalcy? SAFO and live and let live. Just wanted to share my 2 cents on this topic. Peace and love to all, and lets collectively cross our fingers for that wonderful news to make it into our inbox.
  4. This is an interesting thread. The obvious is to have a tax attorney and financial advisor post RV. Then go about spending for leisure on little gimmicks that reward you for all this insanity. Then get down to brass tax and make some money from your new found wealth. All this info of mine is coming from a total idiot regarding large sums of money, ME! GET THE ATTORNEY AND ADVISOR. IMO, money well spent.
  5. I halpheartedly agree. It is the rumor section, but c'mon, give something with a little substance. Might as well had said that the CBI is gonna personally fly all dinar holders to Iraq, TOMORROW, for the big cash in! El Nino? Awww heck, whatever.
  6. Well Mr/Mrs/Ms. Tropics, this is a reach(facetiously speaking), but i'm pretty sure that everyone on here is invested in some way shape or form in Iraq. The dinar in particular. Need i say more or can you do the math here? Stay out of the sun, tropics. Or even better, get yourself a nice big pina colada and lighten up.
  7. Just had a look at forex trading and IQD and it was up 9.5 dinars/dollar. http://www.forex.tradingcharts.com/quotes/index.php?sym=usdiqd&Submit=Go&tz=GMT
  8. Iraq crying wolf? Not possible. No way. Word is bond in politics, especially in Iraq.
  9. I do agree that with a "pitch" from the bank manager discouraging dinar sales is total bull. Banks want to make money, right? So now we have bank managers giving financial advice, and regarding the dinar at that. Perhaps the powers that be, especially towards a "bail-out" bank, would discourage dinar purchases/investments for reasons we can probably comprehend, but not back up with fact. How would you feel if you were getting paperwork notorized regarding a purchase of google stocks at their inception and the bank manager suggested that google is a scam. WOW. Talking about missing the bus! Anyway, thanks for sharing the post/info. Furthermore, for piece of mind, Iraq is a country, has a currency, we know budgets, predictions of oil production, etc. So, a scam? I sincerely doubt it. Realisticly, Its a crapshoot as far as when this currency will RV or pick up speed, but the payout will be better than the pay-in. Peace, Love, and lets get this done! Hmmm, i'm a poet and don't know it
  10. Well, i first thought that for whatever reason, if i contributed to replying to posts, that it would somehow facilitate the RV or at least move things in a direction that we could all celebrate. lol. Looking at me, my life, and my dinar investment, the cup is still half full. For those of you scoring at home, we jumped at an opportunity to turn a little into a lot. Regardless if the dinar RV's, RI's and is traded, whatever. I'd like to think that this is a win-win. Even if we don't become overnight millionaires, we will have gained some monetary rewards. Correct? Anyhoo. There is my two cents. Much like the rest of you, i long for the day that this becomes official, and we can go on taking care of whats important to us, and always remember "that moment in time" when we out of our heads with anticipation and optimism. And perhaps, soon, it will all be a laughable experience. Laughing so hard, we have to summon our housekeeper/maid/servant to get a $100 bill to wipe the tears of laughter away. In closing, fingers crossed and staying thirsty my friend(s). Lets keep it positve. Good things happen to good people. And if that prior sentence holds weight, none, well, most of us won't have a thing to worry about. Cheers. Chao. And lets get the RV on already!
  11. Yes indeed. Hope is a strong word, IMO, words are everything. Sometimes its the little things that keep us going. Hope is one of those little things for me. Maybe, If, perhaps, probably. Good stuff, logical post, and very agreeable scenerio. Great post regardless if it had been posted before. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Mr. Rich, thanks for the post. I think we all can concur that our investment isn't a get rich quick strategy. Its an investment. Some accelerate through the roof in a short period of time, others decelerate resulting in dramatic losses. We know this, i think. The only issue i have with your post is this: "Right now, Iraq has the oil under the sand, but they do not have the production facilities and infrastructure to bring sufficient quantities of that oil to market". Isnt this where outside contractors come in? Maybe i am too optimistic and not realistic enough. But a rise in the value of the dinar is immenent(sp), whether rapidly or otherwise. No links, just my two cents. Oil is money, and IMO, Iraq will pursue this to the fullest. Maybe i'm ignorant to the politics of a newly democracized country, but the bottom line is the almighty dinar, for the people, for the country, and for the big dawgs in the GOI who would like to keep up with their persian neighbors. Just opinions. Just optimistic. Just wanting an increase in dinar value as bad as the rest of us. GIT-R-DUN! Read more:
  13. Continued first post.... somehow posted prior to finishing, and here's the rest: I'm sure i'll catch some heat for this one, but after all, we are a capitalist society, and what are we doing on DV every morning? Waiting to see when we've capitalized on our investment. Lastly, on a personal note, and if you havent considered this, i WILL be donating a percentage of my dinar/dollars when i deem it appropriate per the value. Those men and women overseas deserve the best we can give to them. The Iraqi's will take care of their own. Lets take care of OUR boys! After all, in the grand scheme of things, if it weren't for them, we would be doing the same thing that we had been doing prior to this whimsical(sp) rollercoaster. Good luck to all. GO RV!
  14. Allright, my first post.... Here goes: In this particular post, i've read much about how the war in Iraq would pay for itself, etc. This is a very viable scenerio. We have dinar, the dinar will revalue, or at the very least make dramatic moves in the direction of a U.S. dollar equivalent. So let me get to my point. I don't enjoy dissecting issues without having all the facts, but when in our lifetime will we be able to gather all of the facts that surround political motivartions, i.e. war, finance, elections, etc. But IMO, or at least in prior conflicts regarding whoever,(Nam, Persian gulf 1 and 2, Nicaraqua, and so on), Aside from what was seen via Tom Brokaw or whoever pointing to the political implications of our actions; WE GO TO WAR FOR $$$$$!!!!!
