  1. The chances of "Or not" is not much and I can give u reasons. Ali knows that post RV, no body will be interested in dinars. Even a 1USD hike will yield him thousands of dollars per day. So, an increment of 30USD u can see. Also, I think the black market session has now begun same situation like kuwait where people were still doing a black market thing for a certain while. Although we can't say Ali as doing black market, he's now running a game where he's sure to run his course outta dinars pretty soon. And I don't know how could he manage to get the dinars now after the restrictions of cross borders of IQD. Your " Or Not" now seems very illogical against my explanation of "it's Possible" Michel
  2. Zantac I observed that sometimes u're negative with the whole dinar issue and sometimes u're too positive with it. I'm unable to understand ur character LOL.. Pls tell me if it'll revalue or not.. I'm waiting patiently for an RV. Michel

  5. U.S. troops in Iraq celebrate Christmas By Barbara Surk The Associated Press Posted: 12/25/2010 01:00:00 AM MST Updated: 12/25/2010 12:41:06 PM MST U.S. troops light candles during a Christmas Eve Mass in a chapel at an American military base in the Baghdad area Friday. (Hadi Mizban, The Associated Press ) BAGHDAD — It's the fourth time Chief Warrant Officer Archie Morgan is celebrating Christmas in Iraq, but he is not complaining. Morgan was part of the U.S.-led invasion of the country in 2003 and was deployed twice in the darkest years of the war when the insurgency raged in 2006 and 2007, and U.S. soldiers were dying almost daily from roadside bomb and mortar attacks. "It's is a very different Christmas the fourth time in Iraq," said Morgan, of St. Louis, one of the 50,000 troops who will remain in Iraq until next year, when the U.S. military will leave the country after eight years of war. "It was full battle rattle, my first couple of Christmases," Morgan said. "It was rough, our weapons had to be armed and ready," he added. "This (Christmas) is great. I feel like I am at home." Capt. Diana Crane, the first female chaplain who arrived to Iraq in April 2003, returned to the country last month for her second deployment. Crane was among several dozen troops attending a Christmas Eve Mass in a chapel in Camp Victory, an American military base just outside Baghdad. Several religious services will take place in military bases across Iraq on Christmas Day — but for now, no big parties were planned, and no important guests were expected to visit troops at the beginning of their final year in Iraq. Although morale is high and the threat significantly lower as the U.S. troops head into the last year of service here, Crane says the emotional struggles troops face remain the same: loneliness and separation anxiety. "They mostly talk about missing their families or martial issues they are dealing with," said Crane, of Portland, Ore. "It's about kids, wives and husbands," said Crane, adding that most who have served multiple tours in Iraq are "happy to be back and see progress that's been made." "The fact that (Iraq) is starting to be a country on its own again," Crane said, "makes many realize that all the work and sacrifice has not been in vain." Spec. Chrisy Adams of Niagara Falls, N.Y., said her daughter turned 18 months when she headed for Iraq on Dec. 3, on her first tour of duty. "It's a bit rough being away from her, but I hope to use a webcam and see her open all the presents," Adams said. While this is the first Christmas away from home, she doesn't expect it to be the last while serving in the military. "I anticipate going to Afghanistan in the next five years," she said. "You just gotta prepare yourself." The U.S. ended combat operations in Iraq at the end of August, reducing the number of troops from 170,000 in 2007 to 50,000. Of those who remain, most are training and assisting the Iraqi security force that will take full responsibility to protect the country after a full withdrawal of American forces by the end of 2011 as mandated in a U.S.-Iraqi security agreement. http://www.denverpost.com/nationworld/ci_16939424?source=rss
  6. I think it says budget will be held tomorrow. Monday is tomorrow right. Michel
  7. I have to agree with u on this. .09 is simply a slap on the faces on IMF considering the fact their natural resources in gas and oil are the world's richest. Also their agriculture is world's richest. Considering the development at this point, I believe iraq is the only country in the mid east where massive development rate is ON now, leave aside Saudi, jordan, bahrain, iran or any other country. Iraq is going at a pace double as them now and the politicians are not able to cope up with it due to their ego issues. I simply hope they get through this phase and understand how democracy works in the next few years, but for now I simply feel that they should revalue their currency as they have an uphill task up their sleeves to build Iraq. Michel
  8. I recently heard from the budget of iraq saying that they will provide 100K dinars to each Student, I dunno what they mean by each student now. But that's how it is. I feel this is one of those countries where an average iraqi individual is worth millions here as the population seems to be less as well. Michel..
  9. huh?? an e-network with a note of 25K? You kidding me? That would be insane. Michel.

  12. It's the way I feel about this whole investment. The whole scenario started with the Iraqi-Kuwait war. One never knew that the whole world would benefit one day with the war they had 2 decades ago. The things that took place one after another was really never less than an epic on which a movie can be picturised. Now, coming to how I feel about this investment is that, we all knew Kuwait was never at fault when Iraq had an assault on them. And hence, they had their currency Revalued immediately after devaluing Iraqi dinars. This was a great move by UN and then they neutralized Saddam and dethroned him. They knew there were supporters of him in their country as well, so they let them digest the fact that he was a dictator and not a democratic. Gave them ample time of 8 years and now giving them a taste of democracy which they never tasted ever in the past thousand years. Now that everything is done away with, why is the need for Iraqi dinars still needs to be devalued? UN recently lifted all the sanctions to give them a perfect platform to launch their economic recovery for the entire world. It's like inaugurating a perfect thing called "ECONOMIC RECOVERY" and UN did that by lifting all sanctions they placed on them way back in 1990. Way back, UN made a huge profit of 34 folds immediately after forcing Iraq to leave kuwait and raising their currency value. They could have waited with Kuwait as well, but they didn't and made instant money with them. Why? Cos the economy needed a boost at that time. Now, when the world truly needs this amazing break through, we are on the verge of something big. Maybe they had pre-decided this to be worth multiple times of what Kuwait was worth when they revalued. Every decade needs a miracle. The miracle a decade ago was the revaluation of kuwait. The miracle a decade after is the revaluation of Iraq which is much much more than kuwait. Who knows what's running next in the minds of the super powers as I make this post, well, all we can do is just wait and watch what future brings to us in this breath taking ( Middle East) part of the world. All we can now do is get ready for an exciting new year which brings great prosperity to Iraq and of course the share holders of it i.e. the investors. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! Michel!
