  1. 1st session of Iraqi Parliament postponed after 30 minutes June 14, 2010 - 09:53:25 BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The first session of the Iraqi Parliament began on Monday, and was then postponed only 30 minutes after beginning. Although new lawmakers were sworn in, the session remained open to give Iraqi political blocs more time to debate over the new Iraqi government. The session remained open because according to the constitution the first session should not conclude unless the parliament’s speakership is elected. The speakership is part of the negotiations between the political blocs in addition to the Presidential Board. http://en.aswataliraq.info/?p=133202

  5. Yes, if the very next thing we saw was the issuing of small denomiation notes, with nothing else attached, YES...... RV!!!! but that doesn't mean they can't RV then release small notes, it will probably happen at the same time.
  6. Too much currency in circulation, has been being corrected by the foriegn currency auctions, as cbi buys back IQD by selling foriegn currency it is removed from circulation. All setting the stage for a sweet and doable RV!!! I'm new to this board, this rely was suppose to be to TexaSwa's quote.
  7. these machines can be used to verify the destruction of worn notes, or in this case, cancelling large notes as they are removed from circulation, and cancelling excess liquidity as notes are brought back in through the foriegn currency auctions.
  8. lighting a match doesn't verify the destruction of authentic (real) notes, the machines verify the notes are real. I have also been led to believe that in destruction mode, these machines can document serial numbers of notes detroyed. The currency management machines and software is very sophisticated. I will continue to look for that info, here is De La Rue web link: http://www.delarue.com/Home/
