  1. Oh my gosh, this is a game show from Baghdad!! The first caller was asked about 40 boogie men!! I am not joking!! BTW, she was right and won a prize! This is such a joke!
  2. PVS, My day has been so blessed by your post!! I love life and I loved reading this. Bless you for stopping!!
  3. BanG, We really have no rights, do we? Everything is controlled and monitored.
  4. Yes, I paid very good attention to what the post said. The manager laughed at me when I told him about the "receipt". His response? All banks will take your money and give you a receipt for a deposit just like you are depositing a check, when you cash out, after the RV. Again I will say "NO SUCH THING OCCURED"". They cannot give you a receipt until you cash out, period!! That would be just like us in the States. The bank is not going to issue us a receipt without the IQD RVing, plain and simple.
  5. TRERUMPH, I didn't ask what the exchange rate was because he clearly told me no one had cashed out for millions. He did say he heard it was suppose to RV and they would be happy to handle the transaction for us when it does. If it has truly moved a little then we are getting closer. I think they are closed now, or I would call back and speak directly to him again. I guess I have to call back tomorrow and ask about the rate.
  6. When we go grocery shopping, and it is nothing like the States, most of the markets are individual small business owners. You have to round up your purchases. You either buy more, less, round up or round down your purchase. You just negotiate for what you have. It's easier than you think. The Iraqi's have down this for so long, they don't think twice about it. Hope this helps.
  7. I'm sure by now everyone has figured out that people have once again put out information that is simply not true. No one has cashed out in Dubai or Iraq for ANY amount. The National Bank of Dubai was very frustrated with the amount of phone calls that were received today. My brother-in-law tried to get an appointment to cash in his IQD but the manager said he would be wasting his time coming all the way to Dubai from Al Ain. He would only speak to my brother-in-law when he started speaking Arabic and mentioned a Sheik's name. His demeanor changed after that. He clearly and politely stated no-one had cashed any IQD into millions of USD. I was on the conference call. He asked me how much IQD did we personally have and I shared that information with him. The only thing he was able to honestly tell me was that he indeed heard that it was supposed to RV, he didn't know how much or when. He did tell us that when it did RV, he would be happy and honored to handle the transaction for us. Nothing more, nothing less. So, back to waiting, watching and most of all praying!
  8. This is too easy for me to verify!! I love when I read countries are cashing out!! The latest about Dubai and someone taking in their IQD and getting a receipt for millions has me so fired up, I can barely stand it!! Unfortunately, today the banks are closed in the UAE so I can't find out until probably Sunday! I doubt they open on Sat. but I will be finding out soon!! My sister and brother-in-law live in Al Ain which is an hour from Dubai. She is going to Dubai on Sunday to inquire. I have told her to go straight to the manager at the largest bank in Dubai, National Bank of Dubai on Baniyas Road and then check with Citibank on Khalid Bin Al Waleed Street. I will post if this is factual or not. No BS about them not saying etc. They will and have talked in the past, especially knowing that we are large investors. They have said in the past when this RV's they will take very good care of us, so we will wait and see. Maybe May 21st-22nd really is the beginning of the end of the world. Could the preacher's prophecy have anything to do with us RVing and seeing how this will lead to the end times? Maybe, just maybe, there is something to all of this. I'm not saying it will be the end of the world because the Bible is clear that no man shall know the day or hour when the SON returns for the rapture to occur, but when Iraq does start to revive, we know things are taking place just as scripture has foretold. We need to be about our Father's business!
  9. I love it. I can only imagine this when Christ comes back for HIS bride!! Easy, check out "I refuse" by Josh Wilson. This is what we all should be doing while we are waiting and imagining! Bless you!!
  10. Darin, your brother was right. Pretty sad. We just will never appreciate the freedom we have in the States. I daily praise God!!
  11. Darin, I can't even compare myself to the women of Saudi!! No comparison. In Iraq, I am not required to wear a hajib, but all women, Christian or others, American, or Middle-Eastern must be covered at all times. Women DO NOT have rights in Saudi. I have never personally been to Saudi Arabia, nor do I have the desire to! Do you know there is not one single church in all of Saudi Arabia? At least in Iraq, we are free to drive a car, go to church and not wear a hajib if we don't want to, even though it is very scary and security is horrible, this too will change. One thing that stands out and all women need to consider this if you are even contemplating marrying a Middle-Eastern man, especially if he is Muslim, you do not have the rights over your children. Men have exclusive rights if you were to divorce. They are allowed to keep the children and you may NEVER see your children again, so be aware!!
  12. Yes, there is a place for women in Iraq, but make no mistake of it, we are not treated with dignity or the respect that we have here in the U.S. And if you are Christian and a woman, double challenges. We still struggle in Iraq. It is not a comfortable position to be in. That being said, not all people treat women disrespectfully. I've encountered disrespect from other women who are very jealous just from my very conservative but western dress attire, not to mention my hair, makeup and nails! Women are the worst hatters in the M.E.
  13. Absolutely took my breathe away. I love our military and everything they stand for. God bless our troops!
  14. I just watched CNN and even they are reporting that they believe Strauss-Kahn has been somehow set-up. How is it that he was denied Diplomatic immunity and he was denied bail? Now, he is on Rikers Island with no Internet, no visitors or phone calls? That is not normal. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? I am not saying he is innocent, it is just very fishy. Why would we need to isolate him on Rikers Island? Something is so wrong here!
  15. Nope. When the U.S. and Iraq want to RV, nothing is going to stop them.
  16. Hahahahahaha!! You have way too much time of your hands!! Where in the world do you get all of these jokes from?
  17. While I was in prayer today, the Lord reminded me of something that struck me like lightening. A very long time ago while I was Iraq, our USD was almost useless in Iraq while the old IQD with Saddam's face on it was worth more than $3.00. Everyone that I knew worked, ate and lived well as far as finances were concerned. At that time if someone had told us that the IQD would be worth 1/10th of a penny, we would have thought they were crazy, were smoking something, very ignorant, etc. etc. In other words, everything that everyone has been called on this site when we think our IQD will one day soon go up in value again. So, my question to all of the negative people on this site is this: IF THE IQD DEVALUED WITH A BLINK OF THE EYE, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK IT CANNOT REVALUE WITH A BLINK OF THE EYE? Never, ever underestimate people's power to change things for the better or for the worse! It is time for Iraq to have their money back to where it used to be, and that my friends is not rumor!!
  18. Grateful, yes, happy, no. I hate to admit that. Even though we would profit largely with a 3X return, I have done the same with other investments.
  19. Life is a gamble, marriage is a gamble, everything is a gamble. Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win and sometimes you just break even. There is no guarantees in life, you know that. We "invested" in some of the safest commodities on the market and guess what? Sometimes we profited big time, and other times, we lost almost everything. At least I know one thing for sure with the IQD. The worst that could happen is that I get my money back. I can't say that with our other investments. You just can't lose. Trust God, for me, HE and HE alone is NOT a gamble, HE is the real deal!!
  20. Where did you get these photos?
  21. I hate when my make-up smears all down my face!! I loved this and I love our Troops!
  22. Oh my goodness, the story of Iraq, and the Iraqi's could not have been told more precisely! I would have loved to see some women interviewed as well. The struggles they have endured along with the hundreds of thousands of orphans left behind is a reality that hits home for me. Thank you for sharing this. I'm ready for change, peace, unity, and stability to spring forth.
  23. Praise God another evil ruler is dead! I prayed for many years for Saddam and Obama to be caught!! Only the U.S.A. could have accomplished such a mission! Thank you troops, Bless you! Now, for anyone who says to "Nuke" the rest of the M.E. countries, listen to yourself before posting, please. You too become a terrorist when you think, feel and act like that. The majority of the Muslims are very innocent, peaceful and loving, whether you want to accept that or not. BTW, there are also Christians in Pakistan and the surrounding countries. And, No, I am not a Muslim, nor have I ever been. I am proud to say that my Savior, King, and lover of my soul is Jesus Christ.
