I was under the impression that the USD was not going to be allowed for economic exchange in Iraq. Their were articles that printed that fact up to 2 months ago when all the hype was for a pre-election RV. Why do the Iraqis possess USD when they are not allowed to use them for the exchange of goods/services?

That does not read redonomination at all to me it reads RV. The writer makes specific reference to their not being two different exchange rates for the different bills meaning that the same exchange rate has to be used for 5 dinar bills that is used for 25,000 dinar bills. "It has been falsely rumored that perhaps the 25,000 Dinar banknote will be exchanged at a different exchange rate than current smaller Iraqi banknotes." That is excellent news. (dinar bill) X (exchange rate from dinar to dollar)= USD The last paragraph is very well written and is almost word for word what I have discussed with economists. I love this quote "The Iraqi Government will honor that investment in their economy, or there will never be faith in their economy and they will never be accepted by the world financial community."
