  1. That's heartbreaking news. Innocent people are made so expendable. I will NEVER understand. cheers, Maynard
  2. hi, Paj1985. I'm not a Brit, but I am very very glad to have you aboard. Welcome, and good luck on your investment. Cheers, Maynard
  3. I agree with the proposed consensus. What real substantive value could a certificate have regarding authenticity that the nature of the actual notes don't have? I'm not aware of any criteria for the issuance of certificates of authenticity that would extend to them any particular indicia of reliability. If one were to get sold bogus bills, what's to stop the seller from issuing an equally bogus certificate? I think its just pushing the issue a little further down the road, and that's about it. regards, Maynard
  4. Diacin: Here's a good visual for you from DinarTrade.com http://www.dinartrade.com/delarue.htm cheers, Maynard
  5. hang in there, inmarc. 70 will be the new 30 after the RV, buddie. Good post. Maynard

  8. Clearly this excerpt is subject to more than one interpretation, but I've read here that the US Treasury owns quite a bit of Iraqi dinar. If that's the case, I can't see the US sitting still for a lop if the net result is a lost opportunity in largely paying off its war debt.
  9. Greetings and salutations, Legalking. I'm a lawyer myself. Glad to have a colleague on board.
  10. Hi, all. You can call me Maynard. Dobie does. I've got a bunch of iraqi dinar buried under the birdbath in the back yard, and I am regularly doing the dance of hope and prosperity. Please forgive my neophytic question, as I'm sure the subject's already been beaten to oblivion. I'm concerned about RV in light of the talk about LOP. My understanding, or lack thereof goes like this: If they LOP, my 25,000 dinar notes will be 25 dinars, right? So if they RV, say, to $1.49, does that mean my formerly-25,000 dinar note will be worth $37.25. Say it ain't so. Does rebasing in fact mean that they can literally reduce the number of dinar-units you were initially deemed to own? Again, sincere apologies for this question, but I'm not clear.
