Need to sell some Dinar which were purchased at SafeDinar and Pacific Western Bank in Calif, i have the receipts and certificate of authenticity from the seller and I believe I have both uncirculated and some circulated Dinar (been sitting in my safe deposit box for so long I don't remember). Med has always come across as the most intelligent of the Guru's seeming to give good technical analysis of all the various factors leading up to a possible RV. He's been able to keep people interested and fascinated with his colorful wit and dialouge, however his act is a bit old. I counted on his information like he was Allan Greenspan or someone like that in late 2009 thinking for sure this thing was gonna blow with all of the hype he was throwing out there, especially with his ace contact at Chase (Lan) who had the scoop and all of the supposed training of tellers at Chase and other banks preparing for the cash in, it was all BS, and he throws out these predictions every couple of months that it looks good in the next 48 hrs possibly, but still haven't been able to confirm if it's bogus or not intel? It's always been bogus and always will be, he does it to peak everyones senses and stir the pot. But i still like to here his BS over most everyone elses because it seems to be intelligent BS... Come on RV, I wanna buy a place in the UP and go hunting like Med and have a great place on the Lakes to have as my Summer home and maybe i'll run into him in the woods!

Yes I am in the banking idustry, however I received this notification alert because I signed up to receive them by going to their website and making the request.

I just received this email alert from the office of the Federal Reserve Board (office@ffiec.gov). This is coinciding with what we've been expecting due to the changes introduced from the Dodd-Frank Act. I imagine this is one of the reasons the Dealers have been shutting down or been shut down. It will be interesting to see how this changes how banks are currently handling foreging currency purchases in the future. That's because each of those banks has made a decision not to offer IQD to their customers, it doesn't mean it's not an internationally traded currency. When Iraq opens up and becomes a tourism destination again you will see the big banks make it available again.

First off I'm a Banker for 30 years now and I was on the phone for around 15 minutes with the currency exchange company our bank deals with in Florida and they are in the final stages of being acquired by Wells Fargo Bank, they are a division of The Bank of Ireland. The gal I spoke with set me straight, they presently deal with hundreds of banks that buy and or sell IQD, because it is an exchangeable currency, like all other exchangeable currencies. She said every bank has their own set of standards on which currencies they wish to offer or make available to their clients. She went on to say that the main purpose of banks offering foreign currencies is to facilitate traelers for people going on vacation and the normal limit is $5,000. Now my assumpition is there aren't many people going on vacation into Iraq, so that may be a reason quite a few banks don't make it available to their customers, not really sure. These quotes from employees at the above banks don't mean jack, employees at banks don't have any greater insight than any of you, so please stop giving credence to what any Banker says. All your getting are the personal bias of the employee your speaking with and nothing more! It will be interesting to see if Wells Fargo begins selling IQD once their acquisition of the Foreign Currency Exchange company is complete. According to the employee, it's nearly done. I think everyone is way to caught up in trying to predict when this is going to happen, if you read the 6th paragraph down, it tells you their plan of action, ending in Parliments vote for approval, and then goes on to say the mechanism's of change are gradual (we all know that all too well!) and it will be preceded by awareness campaigns to the citizens. Have we been witness to Parliment approving this yet? I haven't seen anything Has there been an awareness campaign directed at the citizens? IMHO i just don't see this as a negative, it's giving them time which they had to do. I don't think it has anything to do with with Shabs moving on what the CBI is going to do!! It was a necessary step, that's all..

Thanks for the post, to me it's just giving them additional protection which was to be expected, they weren't going to make Iraq vulnerable to creditors at this point given what we have invested in them! It doesn't mean that they still aren't going to implement the change to their currency soon. Go RV!!

Just curious how many of you have sold Dinars back to DT and I'm wondering if the process went without any glitches? It seems the process is you Fed X your Dinars and then they verify the bills and mail you a check or wire the funds to you. I'm sure it's probably fine, but i just want to know from any of you that have actually done this. Thanks!

Dude, get over yourself, i've spent over 3500 hundred hours researching and listening to experts like you, and I'm tired of hearing your 99% guarantees, because there aren't any 99% guarantees. You're working for the man and trying to get people to go out and buy more under the presumption that it's going to happen any moment. There's more than enough hype out there regarding this investment, and your little PUMP isn't necessary. No grinch and no newbee here, I have many friends and family involved and I hope it works out for all involved and we will PIF and PIB!
