  1. Psalm 91 New Living Translation (NLT) - Personalized by Ron 1 I live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. 3 For he will rescue me from every trap and protect me from deadly disease. 4 He will cover me with his feathers. He will shelter me with his wings. His faithful promises are my armor and protection. 5 I am not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. 6 I do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. 7 Though a thousand fall at my side, though ten thousand are dying around me, these evils will not touch me. 8 I just open my eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. 9 I have made the Lord my refuge, the Most High is my shelter, 10 therefore no evil will conquer me; no plague will come near my home. 11 For he will order his angels to protect me wherever I go. 12 They will hold me up with their hands so I won’t even hurt my foot on a stone. 13 I will trample upon lions and cobras; and will crush fierce lions and serpents under my feet! 14 The Lord says, “He will rescue me because I love Him. He will protect me because I trust in His Name. 15 When I call on Him, He will answer; He will be with me in trouble. He will rescue and honor me. 16 He will reward me with a long life and give me His Salvation.”

  3. Forgive me this has nothing to do with the thread but kind of seemed like it would be a good place to put this. With this Coronavirus we're dealing with now, gosh the pandemic of 2020.. I remember Kim Clement commenting that President Donald Trump was God's David. Remember David lost everything but he got it all back, for President Trump this mean jobs, the economy, stock market. There's hope I really believe. Interesting time we're living in but God is in control and only He can say who transitions and when, not a virus. Stay well DV family.

  4. Very interesting article, thanks for posting dear kamelkeeper, A floating currency is self-adjusting to changing economic conditions relative to a nation's external trading partners. Importers must automatically pay more for imports when the country's competitive position deteriorates, ditto they automatically get better prices when competitive position improves. It is not very common to see a country with floating currency, as this may cause a great loss of reserves, a non-controllable increase of monetary supply, etc. What central banks often do is leave a floating currency but intervene to regulate the currency's price. We wait and see.

  6. 4-2-2020 Newshound Guru Adam Montana ...I still think the GOI can successfully RV at ten cents. It would be most successful with a float, because the ability for IQD to increase more will encourage people to desire IQD over USD because of the opportunity for profits. The USD, after all, is not going to gain in value. Herd mentality kicks in, Iraqi people and outside sources will increase the demand for IQD based on further speculation, and that adds even more value. I do see and agree with some of the logic in the $1.16 argument. I just also see strategic value in a 10 cent + float. With a float, their currency will hold more potential than the USD. But...$1 or higher ($1.16) there is no question - at that rate it is more valuable. Both rates have positive aspects. This is taken from another site that follows Adam's opinions and posts snippets from them. You can find Adam's comment in a Mary B posting here on DV: @ .. 9. LINK The central bank reveals the reasons for the high exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar 3rd April, 2020 Revealed the Director General of the Financial Operations and Debt Management Department at the Central Bank of Iraq, Mahmoud Dagher, on Friday, the reasons for the high exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar. Dagher said, "The rise in the exchange rate of the dollar is due to the overlapping of a set of expectations for the financial crisis that Iraq is going through, resulting from the drop in oil prices and accompanied by the impact of the Corona virus and curfews, which resulted in the resulting halt in economic activities." He added, "All of these factors are added to them by stopping the outlets of selling currencies in the central bank, which led to a rise in the exchange rate of the dollar and a decrease in the value of the Iraqi currency." There is no real interventionist management at the exchange rate from the central bank, as it had done previously." He explained, "The window has stopped, and there is no real economic activity in the market only for foodstuffs, and we find that the demand for dollars rises, and the exchange rate rises with it," noting that "the issue relates to future expectations and that the reassurances were not at the required level regarding the payment of salaries and talk Printed the currency, which led to a lot of efforts to convert what he has from dinars to dollars. He continued: "I think with the intervention of the Central Bank from next week and the expected increase in the price of oil, it might reduce the severity of the increase in the exchange rate," explaining that "the central bank announced the opening of the dollar sale window next week, and it has already opened the doors of certain transfers for the purposes of Food and medicine, and it didn't work out much because it stayed open for a short time." He pointed out that "if there is reassurance in terms of oil prices and improvement in public finances due to high levels of revenue and because of the intervention of the central bank and foreign currency injection into the market, then all of these factors, if combined correctly, and not one of them, will exchange rate stabilize." ######## The central bank reveals the reasons for the high dollar exchange rate LINK

The Finance Committee comments on the central bank’s decision to stop the flow of the dollar Politics 04/2020 17:34 374 Baghdad today _ Baghdad The Finance Committee commented, on Friday, on the Central Bank’s decision to stop the dollar from flowing into the market with the aim of floating the dinar and reducing its value, in order to fill part of the budget deficit and the needs of the government. The committee’s rapporteur, Ahmed Al-Saffar, said in an interview with (Baghdad Today) that “reading the intention of the central bank to stop the flow of the dollar and floating the dinar to fill part of the state’s budget deficit is impossible, but it may be in harmony with the current situation to compensate for the shortfall in oil revenues” . Al-Saffar added, "At the same time, the central bank may also be unintentional because of the curfew and the suspension of most life activities." And the rapporteur of the Finance Committee in Parliament, Ahmed Al-Saffar, spoke last Sunday about the authority of the Central Bank to issue a set of decisions on withdrawing the commission of the US dollar. Ahmed Al-Saffar said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "the decisions issued by the Central Bank regarding the commission of withdrawing the US dollar are considered within his powers and he is the one who sets the interest rate, whether by depositing or withdrawing." Al-Saffar added, "Iraq revenues from selling oil go to the Ministry of Finance account in the US Federal Reserve, which the Central Bank has a branch in," explaining that "the process is that the revenues are transferred to the central bank account and the bank transfers it to the Iraqi dinar to the Ministry of Finance to pay salaries." employees". He continued, "The process of withdrawing the dollar and depositing it relates to the policy of the central bank, which is monetary policy, and the central bank has the right to raise or reduce interest rates, and this is one of the methods of monetary policy that you use." On Sunday (March 29, 2020), the Central Bank of Iraq issued a set of decisions regarding the US dollar withdrawal commission. And included a document issued by the bank and received (Baghdad today): "The commission for withdrawing cash for the US dollar, which comes from the incoming transfers to the bank to our accounts in the American Federal Bank, as well as the transfers received to banks from other banks by a rate of seven thousand." The bank added: "The amounts of the above remittances are transferred to banks by (75%) in cash in dollars according to the above commission, and (25%) pay Iraqi dinars at the official bank rate (1182) dinars to the dollar." He continued: "Banks must spend the (25%) above on their remittances customers at a price of (1200) dinars / dollars, and submit their requests at the end of each month to the accounting department at the central bank for the purpose of handling the two price differences in our accounts in Iraqi dinars." And he added: "The banks will spend the full amount of the transfer received in the Iraqi dinar if the customer desires to do so, and the two price difference will be processed by the same mentioned mechanism." He stressed, "The above mechanism does not include customer deposits in dollars in cash, where it is paid to the customer in full, but is restricted to customers who receive remittances received from outside Iraq of any kind, and internal dollar transfers between their banks in our accounts." https://baghdadtoday.news/ar/

We will get through this and be more powerful, prosperous, and faithful as a people. All is reaching the climax in this war against the invisible enemy. Economic expert Wissam Al-Tamimi warned, on Friday, against the high exchange rates of the dollar in local markets, pointing to most commodities that will witness a rise in prices, especially since most of them arrive in Iraq through import. Al-Tamimi said in a statement to "Information", that "the central bank has a cash reserve in excess of $ 60 billion, and therefore it is able to curb the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar in local markets." He added that "raising the dollar exchange rate may be taken by the government as an excuse to compensate for the losses in oil selling prices, but that will make the citizen a victim of the dollar, especially since many transactions take place in dollars, in addition to the fact that most of the goods are imported from outside the country and purchased in dollars." And that "the positive side of the high dollar exchange rate is the resort of most investors in the private sector to setting up factories inside IraqInstead of importing goods at a high price from abroad, which will boost national production, Iraq may turn from an importing country to an exporter within 10 years. ” 25 n ended https://www.almaalomah.com/2020/04/03/466316/

You can tell your friends to take high dose Vitamin C, 5 to 10 grams (5,000 to 10,000 mg) per day. It really strengthens the immune system to protect against coronavirus and is cheap. Vit D3 (5,000 iu) and zinc (can't remember how much right now but I know ionized Zinc is best if they can get it) are also really good. Also, if you catch it, you can double or triple the Vit C and it's been shown to help people recover quickly.

Cost is around $20.00. This doctor has had zero deaths and nobody is being incubated. Once you reach the incubation period, the death rate is 50%. He has treated well over 600 patients, and they’ve stayed home. No ER 👍🏻👍🏻❤️ Im sending this to my daughter and a friend in New York who is in serious condition.

For these barrels, Iraq earned a revenue of US$2.99 billion. To compare, Iraq’s February sales of 98.3 million barrels of crude oil earned OPEC’s producer almost twice that, at US$5.5 billion. The federal government of Iraq sold its 3.390 million bpd of oil exports at an average price of $32.73 a barrel, Iraq Oil Report quoted the oil ministry as saying. Iraq’s oil typically trades at around $4 a barrel discount to Brent, so in the past couple of weeks, Iraq’s crude oil was selling for $21 a barrel, Oil Minister Thamer Ghadban told local media, AFP reports. Last week, Iraq, one of the oil producers worst hit by the oil price crash, was said to be proposing that all foreign oil firms operating in the country cut their budgets by 30 percent on the condition that crude production levels do not suffer. Iraq, which relies on oil revenues for 95 percent of its budgetary income, is one of the least diversified economies in the Middle East. Iraq was also one of the OPEC members who called for an emergency meeting of the cartel to discuss ways to support oil prices, which crumbled in March to as low as $25 a barrel Brent. Iraq may see its wish granted soon after U.S. President Donald Trump intervened in the oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia and discussed the oil market with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “The Kingdom calls for an urgent meeting for OPEC+ states and another group of countries, with aim of reaching a fair solution to restore a desire balance of the oil markets,” Saudi Arabia said on Thursday, via its official Saudi Press Agency, while President Trump said that he expects and hopes the Saudis and Russia to cut back “approximately 10 Million Barrels, and maybe substantially more.”

  41. An economist talks about the reason for the high price of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, and is likely to return to normal Economy 04/22/2016 15:34 580 Editor: ht Baghdad today - special Economist Abdul Rahman Al-Mashhadani revealed, Thursday (April 2, 2020), the reason for the high exchange rates of the dollar, while it is likely that it will fall soon. Al-Mashhadani said in an interview with (Baghdad today), that "the rise in the price of the dollar in the markets is due to the Central Bank and banking bureaus stopping work, as a result of the health embargo that the country is witnessing, which led to restricting sales operations in the local currency window and external transfers." He added, "The Central Bank made a decision yesterday to allow 4 or 5 days from the 16th to the 21st of this month to implement external requests and transfers of food and medical supplies." Al-Mashhadani added, "Once the central bank's measures are implemented, the price of the dollar may drop to return to its normal level of 120,000 yen." Earlier today, Thursday, the foreign currency markets in Iraq recorded a slight decrease in the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar, after the rise recorded during the past days. The prices of buying and selling dollars in banking companies and offices are as follows: The selling price of one dollar is 1260 dinars, or 126 thousand dinars per hundred dollars. 42. Iran's militias in Iraq ... terrified rats facing their inevitable fate In February, an Iraqi faction leader who had Iranian training received his hand at the office of his boss, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was killed weeks ago with Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani in a US air strike. It was the hope of many of the men of the pro-Iranian factions that this would be the solution to their problems, and that this would succeed the veteran leader Abdul Aziz al-Muhammadawi, the engineer as commander-in-chief of the Iraqi armed factions that dispersed after the killing of the two commanding teachers. Instead, this change led to new divisions. The factions refused to recognize Muhammadawi, known by his dynamic name "Abu Fadak", as the leader of the Popular Mobilization Forces, which the factions are affiliated with. Indeed, some in his faction, the "Hezbollah Brigades", opposed wearing the mantle of leadership, according to some familiar insiders in the faction. The killing of Soleimani and the engineer in January posed a challenge to Iranian-backed factions in Iraq, where the United States wants to reduce the influence of Iran, its enemy in the region. Now, sources in the Iranian-backed factions of the PMF and leaders of groups less close to Iran are talking about increasing disagreements over the leadership and the shrinking of Iranian funds, which frustrates the unity's attempts to face adverse conditions. These differences increase the speed of regression on the political scene, as faction leaders are hiding for fear that the United States will assassinate them and face an anti-Iranian opposition in the streets after they once controlled government positions and seats in Parliament. These leaders face the installation of a prime minister who takes a similar approach to the American one and indicates that he will work to stop the domination of proxy groups working for Iran. The factions have stepped up their attacks against the forces operating under US command in Iraq after facing problems. Western military officials and diplomats say this raises the possibility of an escalation between the United States and Iran that Baghdad will not be able to stop. The focus of the divisions was the leadership of the Popular Mobilization Forces, which was formed to fight ISIS after the Shiite cleric Ali al-Sistani called on all those able to take up arms to confront Sunni militants. The state-funded Popular Mobilization Forces include dozens of factions, most of whom are Shiite doctrine and have different loyalties. However, strong factions that receive their orders from Iran dominate the popular crowd, including the Hezbollah Brigades, whose engineer was its leader, the Badr Organization, the Nujaba Movement, and others. Soleimani had the last say in the most powerful Shiite factions. However, the loss of the engineer, the military commander of the PMF, had more significance for these groups as he was a figure who wrapped everyone around. Increased divisions In February, the Hezbollah Brigades announced that Muhammadawi would become the military commander of the PMF. Now al-Muhammadawi works in the office of the old engineer in Baghdad, according to a senior source in the platoon who asked to hide his identity before talking about the differences between the factions. The source said, "This created divisions including within the Phalanges." He and two other factions described a shift in alliances, including shifts in the ranks of two pro-Iranian factions. They said that the divisions revolve around the succession of the engineer and aspects of spending Iranian money, for military action or for political influence. The first source said, "A camp in the Phalanges led by Abu Fadak. Another camp opposing it controls the PMF." He added, "In (Badr Organization), a wing that supports him and was close to the engineer and another wing he does not support, which is the political wing." The sources did not provide details of the reduction in funding from Iran, which was severely affected by the spread of the Coruna virus and US sanctions. A spokesman for the Popular Mobilization Forces could not be reached for comment. The sources said, that disputes would begin with the factions launching attacks on their own without consulting each other. Referring to an attack that killed two American and British soldiers in March, an official said, "Not everyone has agreed to target the Taji military base." "Some groups operate without consulting with the chain of command in the PMF," he added. Several factions closer to Sistani, who opposes Iran's hegemony over the PMF, have publicly refused to take the leadership in February, in defiance of a pro-Iranian camp. The leaders of those factions said that they agreed in principle with the Ministry of Defense then to integrate into the armed forces, in a move that would separate them from the Iranian-backed factions. A source close to Sistani confirmed that his office had blessed the move. Political weakness worries the factions backed by Iran. "If Sistani supports this, perhaps 70% of fighters of lower ranks in all factions will emulate him as they have joined only in response to his fatwa," the first source said with the factions. None of these steps can be formalized until a new government takes office. However, lawmakers and government officials say it will likely be approved by Prime Minister-designate AdnanAl-Zarfi this month, due to the weakness of the pro-Iranian factions. "Before, factions and politicians backed by Iran could impose those they choose as prime minister," said a deputy from the largest bloc in the Iraqi parliament, asking not to be named. He added, "But now they cannot even agree among themselves on who they want for this position," adding that many prefer Zarrafi to hold this position. Last month, President Barham chose Saleh al- Zarfi, who is opposed by faction leaders backed by Iran. He has indicated that he will toughen up with the factions and post a tweet on Twitter in May, confirming that the loyalty of the PMF will be to Iraq and the Iraqis. The Iranian-backed factions will not quietly surrender. Last week, the Hezbollah Brigades warned that it would stand up to any force cooperating with Washington in attacking the factions. https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/192753/ميليشيات-إيران-في-العراق-جرذان-مرعوبة-تواجه-مصيرها-المحتوم
