  1. Actually I don't want to call him a Guru as he seems a little more down to earth than the others. A while back i stopped listening the frank....he just seems little too far out there and angry at people these days. MarkZ I will listen now and again but it is just easier the read what he thinks.....Any minute, expected this afternoon and should have spendable fund by midnight....Same thing, different shirt daily. Kap is of the belief there is too much IQD Out there to ever do anything with. Jeff.....He is okay but hurt himself when he claim it was a go the beginning of the last quarter of 2019 only to be the 1st to kick the can into the end of the 1st quarter of 2020. Vital brad is grounded but does have a lot to say that I can find....bits here and there. But I did run across this Pimpy on both FB and Youtube.....he seems to have a very grounds=ed outlooks on both the IQD, VND and he gets into Crypto's that I just don't get.... But he is thinking Trump could be in a position to do the same thing Regan did to the USSR and destroy Communist China even going into the history of China/Russia and the falling out they had back in the 60's.....Sorta an interesting take on things. His thoughts are that is Trump can do this China will have to play fair after the Trade deal is past. This will cause the rest of the Asian Currency Manipulators to fall in line as well.......Including Viet Nam. he is more in the .05-.25 cent range for the VND as that would be a Huge increase in the value of their money. It could go up some he claims but not much for quite a while. Now he (Pimpy) has quite a different out look than say Kap....His feelings are that the valve if and when it goes up will be different world wide depending on the value of said countries currency. His belief is that Iraq has already taken a bunch of Dinar off the street in Iraq. Then he is of the belief the IQD to USD will be in the $1.34 USD to IQD range and stay there for up to 3 years bringing in more and more with the end goal to possibly get back to $3.22 USD to IQD. This does not mean that say some holder of IQD on Mysterious island off the coast of never never land will get the same Exchange ratio as the USD.....they my have a million and it is only going to exchange at .10 cent.....Somewhere else the value of the IQD may only raise to .25 cents to what ever their countries currency is worth. So say we in the US did get $1.34 per IQD doesn't mean Umbertino in Italy is going to get the same rate. Nor would Mary in Scotland or Ireland get the same rate as the rate for the USD. PP or Davis would get a rate based on what the Canadian Dollar is worth vs the IQD and not the same rate as the USD..... So in short where the Lopsters and Kap claim there is Too Much IQD out there to RV of RI at 1-1 or $1.34 or $3.22 that rate would only be good in the case of the USD. Hopefully that is clear as mud and I am not sure I got over what I was trying to convey here. Note, just because I didn't mention Adam is no disrespect to him or the forum.....I wait every Wednesday to read what he has to say and I watch my email every morning to see if I have any good news for DV. Okay, I had better have another beer.....than reread this but by then it all be too late as this will be etched is DV history for eternity Karsten

  4. Deputy for victory: Allawi sent his cabinet to accountability and justice ... two days before the parliament vote Politics 02/22/16 16:03 1264 Editor: Zs Baghdad today - Baghdad On Sunday (February 16, 2020), Nada Shaker Jawdat, the deputy for the victory coalition, announced that Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi had sent his cabinet to the Accountability and Justice Authority for audit. Jawdat said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), "The ministerial cabinet has guaranteed five ministerial seats for women, and all those who are independent are not partisan." She added that "Allawi sent it to the Accountability and Justice Authority in order to consider the curriculum vitae of the candidates," likely "to be presented to the House of Representatives to gain confidence within the next two days." The Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, confirmed on Saturday, 15 February 2020, the close of the vote on his cabinet. "We came close to achieving a historic achievement, which is the completion of an independent ministerial cabinet, capable and impartial, without the intervention of any political party," Allawi said on Twitter. He added, "We will put the names of this booth this week, God willing, away from rumors and leaks, and we hope members of Parliament will respond and vote on it in order to start implementing the people's demands." On February 13, 2020, the Accountability and Justice Authority revealed the mechanism for checking the names of ministers and other positions in the country. The official news agency quoted the head of the Accountability and Justice Authority, Basem Al-Badri, as saying that "the agency's work mechanism includes revealing and checking the names of ministers and other positions in the country through correspondence from the relevant official authorities." Al-Badri said, "There is no difference in the audits between the top positions, whether disclosures are made for the government or for parliament, especially since the two bodies are concerned in this regard." The President of the Accountability and Justice Authority continued, "The period during which the process of verifying names is different, while higher positions require procedures." link

  6. IMHO (My comments in dark text😞 1. Is there a complete and functioning government? No, but from the looks of things, could possibly be one of the quickest governments formed in history after the fall of Sadam. But, only time will tell. Remember, this is Iraq and saying one thing, but not delivering on results is a very common and daily occurrence. 2. Are the crooks and other ner-do-wells still able to do harm? This is Iraq...need I say more? 3. Is the banking system (and laws) up and ready to handle an event like an RV? This is the one area I feel that the country of Iraq has made the most progress and is ready for the coming changes. 4. Is Iraq safe enough for countries & businesses to actually infuse tons of money into the country? This will depend on the acceptance of the newly established government by the people, and the direction that the newly formed government takes. If there's a continued foray into corruption, or even the perception of corruption, then things may not get to a point of stability. Only time will tell. Indy

  10. 2-15-2020 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan Articles: "The US Treasury publishes a video that includes simple steps to reveal the "fake" dollar"; "Legal protection of the national currency" These two articles are seeming to be placed and timed accordingly...A re enforcement if you will on the act of counterfeiting will not be tolerated. Not only outside countries, but, their own currency and they make reference to the IQD currency and coins. They don't have them yet? Even if they did no one in their right mind would counterfeit coins at a program rate. But, by this article about Iraq, they seem to suggest they will have coins...(post 1 of 2)... 2-15-2020 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan ...So, whereby, when they cease the Dollar Multi Currency Practice and Article 8 component, it will be illegal to accept payment in USD for goods and illegal to not accept IQD for goods when it is legal tender...there has been talk of the ATMs having been loaded with NSCNs and these above articles suggest that with the current warning having been given out about counterfeiting currency and coins, and obligations to accepting them if legal, suggests that there is an expectation for a rate change to warrant coins. A significant value is needed to be applied for them to worry about counterfeiting coins. We have been told to watch the ATMs. Why? As the banks will have to be prepared for activation of new software. These articles are a huge indicator for me...Articles suggest that the Dollar Auctions are to stop and this would indicate they are and make notice that the CBI has been showing pattern changes of recent.... imo...(post 2 of 2)... 2-15-2020 Newshound Guru Kaperoni ...the CBI has described plans for a LOP. To reduce the money supply from trillions to billions. That is what will happen if something happened overnight. If you want to see the dinar appreciate in value it's going to take a long time not because I say so, because that's how monetary policy works, gradually over time. But before that could ever happen they need to create the conditions for a market economy and encourage a substantial amount of foreign investment to come in, thus creating pressure on the financial system. Only then can the CBI appreciate the dinar using its monetary tools and getting off the Peg and moving to a float. That's not me telling you that's the IMF...This is what Kaperoni has been saying - over & over again...! He seems to want to defuse any posts made by other Gurus who are indicating that an increase in value is imminent and necessary for Iraq to move forward. Especially those who are predicting high values...! RON Good Night Everyone...Sleep well and have a great Sunday. Be Blessed. Ron

  12. 2-15-2020 Newshound/Intel Guru RVAlready Allawi told everyone in advance his government would be independent - that it would not represent any blocks...A little late for them to complain now. 2-15-2020 Newshound Guru Kaperoni New Prime Minister Allawi says he will introduce his cabinet this Sunday. We can hope..! 2-15-2020 Newshound Guru chattels Article: "Mohammed Al-Khalidi to / Nina: The new government consists of 22 independent ministers and is awaiting the parliament’s call for a session to pass it Saturday 15, February 2020" He explained that the new government consists of 22 ministries who are completely independent and that no name was repeated from the previous ministries, and the ministers were chosen by the Prime Minister-designate. There are reports that Allawi will present his program and ministers to an emergency session of Parliament as early as this Sunday or Monday. 2-15-2020 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat ...minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi is sent to be the man who will finally break up the mess holding back this government and free the Iraqi people and its economy from Iranian enslavement. ...This miracle will kick off a chain reaction sounding throughout the financial works in the middle east. Watch and see…!! The following is from Friday Night: 2-14-2020 Newshound Guru Kaperoni This is one of the good articles from a few months back... "A government decision to do the partnership with the private sector" "To implement vital projects that support the country's economy" ...there is a reason for all these talks about a private sector. That is the focus at this time to create this market economy private sector to put people to work, create business and attract investment and reduce dependence on oil. But more importantly is that this is required to create the conditions for the dinar to rise. Until they have a market economy/private sector there will be no change in the dinar... Iraq has work to do. Let's hope they can pick up some momentum as the year progresses to get back on track.

  16. Thanks Karsten - I'm right there with you both Half Crazy Runner & ChuckFinley, except I'll keep some in IQD in my Roth IRA for any potential increase. As you recall the FOI (Future Of Iraq) Project - otherwise known as the Bush-Cheney Plan - which was eventually declassified sometime after/in 2012 indicated the plan was to restore the Dinar back to the pre-Saddam rate of $3.33 (the Golden Dinar). Also Shabibi said on more than one occasion that the IQD could sustain a value over $10..! I suspect there are things way beyond our knowing or planning - with all respect to Kaperoni - who I respect and hold in high regard. It will be whatever is decided between the CBI, GOI, & the IMF - but I do not believe it will come out at any value below !0 cents, but more than likely in the $.84-$1.34 range. JMHO & Observations. ..........RON

  20. The problem is that we have data to show that walls serve a purpose and when built and used in the proper manner, work time and time again. The argument that "The Wall" is midievel and by default, useless, does not hold weight in your argument. If so, does "The Wheel" need to be replaced by modern technology? By your definition, "The Wheel" is midievel. Does "The Axle" need to be replaced? It is also a "midievel" invention. There are many inventions that we use to day that by your standards could be classified as, "midievel", and by default, must be replaced by something "modern". By definition, "The Wall" is intended to stop the free movement of people, vehicles, animals, etc., across the defined boundaries where "The Wall" is built. If your "progressive, globalist" view of the world and the inherent ineffectiveness of "The Wall" were based in any reality, then why don't prisons get rid of their walls? Modern technology should be all that's necessary to keep the inmates in, correct? But I digress...build "The Wall" where it makes sense, and add other "modern" technology and techniques where it makes sense. The sum of all makes "Border Security" and The United States truly a sovereign state. Indy

  24. EXCLUSIVE: US military offers Iraq a partial pullback United States prepared 'in principle' to withdraw from some areas, though Anbar province's Ain al-Assad base is a 'red line' Blast walls of a sleeping quarters for US soldiers are seen at Ain al-Asad air base in Anbar province (Reuters) By David Hearst Published date: 14 February 2020 11:36 UTC | Last update: 1 day 10 hours ago The US military has offered senior Iraqi security officials plans for a partial pullback of troops from Iraq in response to January’s parliamentary vote calling for foreign forces to leave the country, Middle East Eye can reveal. A meeting between the two sides, held in great secrecy last week, heard that Washington was prepared “in principle” to discuss withdrawal. A representative of the US military told the Iraqis present that the United States was prepared to leave positions in or near Shia-majority areas, such as Balad Air Base, which is located 80km north of Baghdad and houses US trainers and contractors. Washington, the Iraqis were told, could even consider reducing its presence in Baghdad. “We are prepared to leave some of the Shia-majority areas, like the base in Balad. Maybe we could reduce our presence in Baghdad,” the military representative told his Iraqi counterparts, who understood from this that the US presence in the Iraqi capital would be reduced to guarding its embassy and the airport. However, the US side categorically ruled out withdrawing from their biggest air base in Iraq, and the indeed the whole Middle East, Ain al-Assad. The Anbar province base came under ballistic missile fire from Iran last month, in response to the US killing of the top Iranian commander, Major-General Qassem Soleimani, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Hashd al-Shaabi paramilitary forces, at Baghdad airport. For the US side, Ain al-Assad was its “red line”. The representative said: “We cannot even start talking about withdrawing [from that base]. Withdrawal is out of the question.” Such was the sensitivity of these discussions that they were held well away from Iraq. The meeting took place in the private residence of the Canadian ambassador to Jordan in Amman, Middle East Eye was told. Present at the meeting was a representative of the US military, a Nato official and a senior Iraqi security adviser. Shifting position The private offer made to the Iraqis in Amman goes well beyond US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s last stated position a month ago. Reacting to the flare-up between Washington and Tehran in Iraq, then-acting prime minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said both the US drone strike and retaliation by Iran violated Iraq’s sovereignty. He demanded that Washington send a delegation to discuss the withdrawal of some 5,200 troops stationed in the country. Rebuffing Abdul Mahdi, Pompeo said: “We are happy to continue the conversation with the Iraqis about what the right structure is.” The US mission in Iraq was to train Iraqi forces to fight the Islamic State group (IS), he added, and “we’re going to continue that mission”. “As times change and we get to a place where we can deliver up on what I believe and the president believes is our right structure, with fewer resources dedicated to that mission, we will do so,” Pompeo said. Following the formal US handover to Iraqi forces in November 2011, ending the eight-year occupation, the United States’ military has relied on diplomatic notes inviting soldiers into the country and offering them immunity from prosecution. The notes themselves, which were sent in 2014, have never been published. January’s Iraqi parliamentary vote was advisory and non-binding, and the incoming prime minister, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, has yet to navigate his way around the issue. Allawi is supported by Tehran and influential Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. James Jeffrey, US special envoy to the coalition fighting IS, has insisted that the agreement to station US forces in Iraq was between Washington and the Baghdad government, not the parliament. However, in frequent meetings between Jeffries and his Iraqi counterparts, the now departed Abdul Mahdi made clear to the US how vulnerable their forces were to the powerful Shia militia in the country. US strikes last year on Kataeb Hezbollah, an Iran-backed militia, helped raise the temperature in Iraq and led to an assault on the US embassy in Baghdad and the killing of Soleimani and Muhandis. Months before the US air strikes on Kataeb Hezbollah, Abdul Mahdi warned Washington of the possible consequences of such actions. His warnings were ignored. Protesters and militia fighters throw stones towards the US embassy during a protest to condemn air strikes on bases belonging to Hashd al-Shaabi (Reuters) The pressure on US forces to pull back remains intense. “No one trusts the Americans any more. Not even [ex-Kurdistan regional president Massoud] Barzani, who said in one meeting he believed the Americans would turn their back on the Kurdish region and Iraq,” one Sunni party leader, who wished to remain anonymous, told MEE. “My feeling is that the Americans will have to pull back, but they will not withdraw.” The US State Department refused to comment on the Amman meeting. Sources said they would not comment on private diplomatic discussions. A spokeswoman for Global Affairs Canada, the Canadian government department managing diplomatic and consular relations, also refused to comment on the meeting. LINK

  30. Middle East Rockets land near US embassy, base housing coalition troops in Baghdad Kurdistan 24 | 4 hours ago The site of an earlier attack on a facility housing US forces. (Photo: Archive) Iraq Baghdad US Iran PMF ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – In yet another attack on facilities in Iraq housing American personnel, a number of rockets landed early Sunday near the US embassy and an Iraqi military base where members of the US-led anti-Islamic State coalition are stationed. “The Coalition confirms small rockets impacted the Iraqi base hosting @CJTFOIR troops in the International Zone, February 16 at 3:24 a.m. (Iraq Time),” Coalition Spokesman Col. Myles B. Caggins III said in a social media post, using the term the US military uses to refer to the fortified Green Zone. He also reported that no casualties had been sustained and that an investigation into the incident was ongoing. Witnesses reported to Kurdistan 24 that they had seen multiple aircraft flying above the city afterward, as is common with such security incidents. A statement from the Iraqi military communications center, known as the Security Media Cell, said that, out of four Katyusha rockets that had been fired, three had landed inside the Green Zone. The fourth one, the statement explained, had fallen near a facility belonging to Iranian-backed militias of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Palestine Street in the northern part of the capital, severely damaging a vehicle. The statement affirmed that there had been no human casualties. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, as is usually the case after such incidents. However, Washington has, on multiple occasions, accused PMF militias of being behind them. The strike comes just three days after a previous one hit another Iraqi base hosting US forces located outside the disputed city of Kirkuk. ***-for-tat escalations soon resulted in PMF members and supporters storming the US embassy in the Baghdad, torching parts of it. Washington responded to this move by assassinating a top Iranian general, Qasim Soleimani, as well as a senior Iraqi PMF commander. This culminated in the Jan. 8 Iranian missile strike on the Ayn al-Asad airbase that resulted in over 100 American servicemen suffering traumatic brain injuries. US President Donald Trump has repeatedly minimized the impact of the injuries without an explanation satisfactory to multiple US veteran groups. Since then, there have been other attacks on bases hosting US forces as well as others on or near the US embassy in Baghdad. On Saturday, a powerful Tehran-backed militia group, the Harakat Hizbollah al-Nujaba, circulated a montaged video that showed edited photos of coffins covered with US flags and placed on the road next to the Baghdad airport where the two top generals were killed. 31. https://www.theblaze.com/news/guillotine_symbol_democrats Dem U.S. Senate candidate unveils campaign logo: The guillotine as 'a symbol of the work we have to do' 'There is not going to be a more convenient revolution' Giancarlo Sopo The donkey has long been the symbol of the Democratic Party since President Andrew Jackson embraced his detractors labeling him "a jackass" in 1828, but a Democratic Senate candidate in Maine may have a rebrand in mind. Ditch the fake news ==> Click here to get news you can trust sent right to your inbox. It's free! Bre Kidman unveiled a new campaign logo last week: a guillitone, the execution apparatus commonly associated with the French Revolution that was used for the beheadings of King Louis XVI and his wife, Queen Marie Antoinette. But fear not, Kidman, who hopes to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins in November, says using an image of the deadly device in campaign materials is not meant to be taken literally. "We're not going to start a guillotine in Monument Square (in Portland) and start beheading people," Kidman clarified to the Portland Press-Herald. "It's a symbol of the work we have to do to overcome flaws in our system – flaws that have become deeply evident in the last few weeks." 'Reign of Terror' The self-described democratic socialist, who identifies as non-binary, added that printing the French Reign of Terror execution device on campaign t-shirts is meant to symbolize ongoing class struggles that may inevitably lead to a violent overthrow of the federal government. "A guillotine t-shirt reminds others about it in hopes that we'll all be motivated to address the very serious problems with our government before a similarly violent uprising becomes inevitable," said Kidman, who recently endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders for president, on Twitter. The Maine Democrat unveiled the campaign merchandise shortly after the Senate acquitted President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial. "More details on how to get your GuilloTee tomorrow! In the meantime, remember: there is not going to be a more convenient revolution," Kidman added. In a separate tweet, Kidman clarified the intent is only to symbolically behead Republicans and money in politics. "The guillotine is for the plutocratic & kleptocratic norms that have undermined our democratic process. We have to develop ways to subvert the stranglehold of wealth on our government," Kidman said. Bernie Bros, Guillotines and Gulags As TheBlaze's Aaron Coleman reported last month, Kidman's use of the guillotine as a campaign symbol is not the first time that democratic socialists invoke violent imagery. In an undercover video taken by Project Veritas, a campaign staffer named Kyle Jurek argued that if Sanders were to win in November, Trump voters will be subject to "reeducation" in Soviet-style gulags. "In Nazi Germany after the fall of the Nazi party there was a sh*t ton of the populace that was f**king Nazi-fied. Germany had to spend billions of dollars to reeducate their people to not be Nazis. We're probably going to have to do the same f**king thing here," Jurek said. "That's kind of what Bernie's whole free education for everybody...because we're going to have to teach you to not be a f**king Nazi," he added. "There's a reason Josef Stalin had gulags. And actually, gulags were a lot better than what the CIA has told us that they were. Like, people were actually paid a living wage in gulags, they had conjugal visits in gulags. Gulags were actually meant for, like, reeducation."

Footage has emerged online purportedly showing a black pillar of smoke billowing from the neighborhood of Zayouna in eastern Baghdad in wake of the reports that several missiles targeted the Green Zone area. A least four blasts reportedly rocked the area in the vicinity of the embassy, prompting rocket alarms to be activated. “Sirens went on and Jets are flying over the area,” Mustafa Salim, Baghdad-based reporter for the Washington Post, tweeted.

Our Community Saudi Arabia and Russia Fight for Oil Market Share in this Market One of the last bulwarks of global crude demand, India has been in the thick of national NOCs’ attention – Saudi Arabia will from now on participate in India’s Strategic Reserves and has signed up to build a greenfield 1.2mbpd refinery in the state of Maharashtra, the UAE-based ADNOC has joined Saudi Aramco in its refinery project and is seeking further investment opportunities. Ever since Rosneft bought the 400kbpd Vadinar Refinery (now known as Nayara) from Essar Oil in 2017, Russia has been present on the Indian downstream market – this acquisition turned out to be one of the crucial elements of President Maduro’s survival in Venezuela, as Nayara was the top outlet for PDVSA crude. Three years on, Russia wants a bigger share. At first sight, India is the ideal place for large-scale downstream investment. Domestic production, currently at around 850kbpd, makes up for a mere 17 percent of the nation’s consumption and has been gradually declining after peaking at 937kbpd in 2011. Whatever upstream breakthroughs India is counting upon in the Mumbai Basin and other maturing basins, be it from enhanced oil recovery at offshore fields or new discoveries, oil production is unlikely to see a reversal (unlike gas). This evidently bothers Indian authorities to the extent that it has set itself a task to reduce oil import dependence by 10 percent by 2022, yet the opposite is happening – India’s crude import dependence has reached an unprecedented 85 percent by the end of 2019. Source: Thomson Reuters. Thus, any major crude producer with a political background strong enough to back up a commercial proposition would dream of locking up parts of the Indian market – its internal market is massive and demand for oil keeps on growing. Compared to traditional suppliers Saudi Arabia and Iraq, Russia is a relative newcomer to the Indian market – it might be even argued that the two nations’ political rapprochement has actually preceded any substantial energy links. Moreover, most of deliveries in 2015 and 2016 which were technically listed as Russian were in fact Kazakhstani-origin CPC – ESPO was too light and consequently too expensive, Urals too distant for the Indian refiner. Related: How Much Further Can Libya’s Oil Production Fall? Amidst this relative dearth of past successes comes the recent announcement from the Russian NOC Rosneft that it concluded a term supply agreement with India’s state-owned refiner IOC. Rosneft will provide 40kbpd worth of Urals throughout 2020 – equivalent to 2 million tons per year or roughly 15 Suezmaxes. The deal was signed with a lot of government support as India’s Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Phadran was there to sign it, along with Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin. This contract, universally perceived as India’s initiative to decrease its dependence on barrels passing through the Hormuz Strait, will most probably lead to further developments in the Russia-India energy relationship. India’s overture towards Russian oil is first and foremost a risk mitigation strategy against any disruption in the Hormuz Strait. India receives a whopping 60 percent of its total crude needs from the Middle East – should any sort of conflagration envelop the region, leading to the closure of the Strait, India would be missing some 2.7mbpd of crude. Two Middle Eastern crude producers stand out – in 2019 India took in 0.846mbpd of crude from Saudi Arabia, lagging only behind the top supplier Iraq, at 1.032mbpd. Hence, one should expect Russian and US exports to the India to be on the increase in 2020-2021, for reasons that eclipse merely financial considerations whilst New Delhi continues to walk the fine line of maintaining a foreign policy equidistant from Russia and the United States. However, Rosneft’s interest in India will materialize in new forthcoming investments, making the first IOC deal the harbinger of things to come. As a matter of fact, it is not only IOC that has been looking into the possibility of concluding a supply agreement with Russian NOCs – both Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum expressed their interest. In the case of the latter it is especially pertinent as Rosneft seems intent to bid for the state’s stake in BPCL (52.98 percent of the refiner) – news which made BPCL shares rally 13 percent in just three days last week. Rosneft still holds the record on the largest-ever foreign investment in India, with the aggregate cost of buying Essar Oil at $12.9 billion. Interestingly enough, Rosneft’s first step to purchase Essar in 2017 was also made by means of a term supply contract, further backed up by a top-level expression of interest. Related: North Dakota’s Crude Oil Production Could Peak Within 5 Years Source: India’s Petroleum Ministry, Thomson Reuters, author’s data. Rosneft’s motivation is fairly understandable – already endowed with downstream and retail capacities around the country, it could consolidate its India assets and grow even bigger. Were the Russian NOC to buy BPCL, its retail network would reach almost 25 percent of India’s total. India already is a massive market (despite the state of stagnation it has faced in the past year or so) and with India becoming the world’s youngest nation (average age of 29 years) still holds a lot of promise. In contrast, the Indian government wants tangible results in the short term – Modi’s cabinet has set the target of raising $14.5 billion from privatizing company stakes owned by the state. With April 2020, the start of the new financial year, coming soon and still only less than a quarter of the supposed privatization income available, President Modi really needs a bold story to sell. Rosneft will have to vie with Middle Eastern national oil companies if it wants to get Bharat Petroleum as Saudi Aramco and ADNOC expressed their interest, too. Initially the Indian government wanted Western oil majors, too, to come onboard, however Total expressed its lack of interest in Indian downstream, BP remains hesitant whether the juice is worth the squeeze and American firms seem to prioritize large-scale investments at home. Given Rosneft’s deep ties to the Russian state, the Russian NOC can offer an upstream quid-pro-quo – offering India a larger share in Arctic Oil, its newest project for which it seeks huge tax breaks. Seems a fair price to pay for BPCL’s three refineries with an aggregate refining capacity for 35.3 million tons per year. https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Russia-And-Saudi-Arabia-Fight-For-Market-Share-In-This-Huge-Oil-Market.html

  38. All the gurus mentioned all have issues, that is for sure. The few that I like to listen to at times are: 1. Dinar Investor (Jeff), even though he has called it in the past and is annoying as hell constantly talking about how he is the only guru figuring out this or that.. I think his window of the end of Q1 makes some sense.. 2. Pimpy, I don’t know why he would think there would be different exchange rates for different countries, etc.. if that was possible why wouldn’t everyone just travel to the country with the best rate of return? I don’t get that, but he does seem more grounded than most and I like how his voice kinda sounds like Kermit the frog. Lol 3. Mr. Brando.. I may not agree with him completely, but he does read a lot and comes to his conclusions based on the research he does, so I like that.. 4. and of course we all love Adam.. all the others aren’t worth wasting time even listening too IMO..

  42. LINK Allawi announces the completion of his government formation and calls on Parliament to vote on it this week 15th February, 2020 The Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, has reported the date of completion of the cabinet, for the new government, to be ready to vote in front of the Iraqi parliament. The deputy of the State of Law coalition Ali Al-Ghanmi told Shafaq News that "Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi told the political forces that the completion of the cabinet booth, for the new government, will be ready, tomorrow, Sunday." And he stated that "tomorrow after the announcement of Allawi, the readiness of the ministerial cabinet, perhaps the Iraqi Council of Representatives, on Monday, Tuesday, or another day of the current week, will determine its special session to vote giving confidence to Allawi and his government." Meanwhile, Mohammed Allawi said in a tweet to him on Twitter, "We are close to achieving a historic achievement, which is the completion of an independent ministerial cabinet of the competent and impartial without the intervention of any political party." He added that "we will put the names of this booth this week if away from rumors and leaks, and we hope members of Parliament will respond and vote on them in order to start implementing the people's demands." It is assumed that Allawi, who was named Prime Minister after a difficult consensus reached by the political blocs, will present his formation to Parliament before the second of next March to vote on it, according to the constitution. Since October 1, Baghdad and the predominantly Shiite cities of the south have been witnessing demonstrations calling for early elections and fighting corruption, which prompted former Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to resign. The protesters denounced the appointment of Muhammad Allawi by President Barham Ahmed Salih to form the new government, and they demanded that he step down and be commissioned to another that enjoys the acceptability of the popular movement.
