  1. Let me add this to the Hyper's Thread... The Central Bank holds a workshop in preparation for the classification of banks operating in Iraq internationally September 15, 2019 As part of the efforts of the Central Bank of Iraq to develop the performance of banks and keep them in line with international standards, this bank held a workshop on the requirements of classification of banks operating in Iraq by international agencies. The workshop included assessment requirements from international rating agencies, most notably: - Challenges faced by banks to prepare evaluation within international standards. - The positive impact of the evaluation with international banking relations and correspondent banks. - The impact of evaluation in increasing the principle of transparency of shareholders and the application of corporate governance. - Risk assessment of banks in neutral terms and its importance in correcting gaps and increasing future hedges. It is noteworthy that the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq approved in its resolution No. (113) of 2019 to the adoption of international credit rating agencies for banks operating in Iraq and work from 2020. 4. I agree Chuck, unfortunately this could be the catalyst for Iraq to Pee or get off the pot. I don’t think it’s good for Middle East or the greater world relations, as there is sure to be some form of retaliation, however it may get Iraq to revalue while the getting is good (oil over $100). My plan was to cash in some and get more things set up, but if tensions escalate I may get out completely at anything over $1 so that I can move on to other investments quicker. 🤞🏻 Everyone

  9. Personaaly, I think if there was a requirement for every HS graduate to serve a minimum of 2 years of military service, it would solve many of our nations social problems. First it make these whinny ass millennials have to mature faster. It would teach them responsibility, self respect and respect for the law and authority. It would show them that the liberal brain washing they received in their educational institutions does not work in the real world. And finally, I believe it would go a long way to stopping or reducing the random acts of violence we see far to often today . Just my

  11. WOWZERS!!! THEE QUAGMIRE THICKENS!!! Lookie at WHAT, prayed AND told, The True The United States Of America Patriot Secretary Of State Mike Pompeo said twodaeo!!! Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blamed Iran for coordinated drone strikes on the heart of Saudi Arabia’s oil industry, saying they marked an unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply. U.S. Blames Iran for Attack on Saudi Oil Facilities Summer Said, Jared Malsin, Jessica Donati 2 hrs ago Saudi Arabia says Aramco refinery fires now 'under control' after drone attacks Video by Reuters Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blamed Iran for coordinated drone strikes on the heart of Saudi Arabia’s oil industry, saying they marked an unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply. The strikes shut down half of the kingdom’s crude production on Saturday, potentially roiling petroleum prices and demonstrating the power of Iran’s proxies. Iran-allied Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen claimed credit for the attack, saying they sent 10 drones to strike at important facilities in Saudi Arabia’s oil-rich Eastern Province. But Mr. Pompeo said there was no evidence the strikes had come from Yemen. Get fresh news and exclusive analysis on politics, policy, national security, regulation and more, delivered right to your inbox In a tweet, he said the U.S. will work with allies “to ensure that energy markets remain well supplied and Iran is held accountable for its aggression.” He added that the strikes showed Iran wasn’t serious about diplomacy. Mr. Pompeo didn’t explain how the U.S. believes Iran was to blame or where the strikes originated, but Iran-backed militias in Iraq have previously been responsible for targeting Saudi Arabia’s oil industry. The production shutdown amounts to a loss of about 5.7 million barrels a day, the kingdom’s national oil company said, roughly 5% of the world’s daily production of crude oil. Officials said they hoped to restore production to its regular level of 9.8 million barrels a day by Monday. Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said lost production would be offset through supplies of oil already on hand. The strikes mark the latest in a series of attacks on the country’s petroleum assets in recent months, as tensions rise among Iran and its proxies like the Houthis, and the U.S. and partners like Saudi Arabia. The attacks could drive up oil prices if the Saudis can’t turn production back on quickly and potentially rattle investor confidence in an initial public offering of Saudi Aramco, the national oil company. President Trump called Saudi Arabia’s day-to-day ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, on Saturday and said the U.S. was ready to “cooperate with the kingdom in supporting its security and stability,” according to the Saudi Press Agency, the official news service. The White House confirmed that Mr. Trump spoke with the crown prince, saying in a statement that the president offered “his support for Saudi Arabia’s self-defense.” © videos obtained by reuters/Reuters The attacks happened a few days before world leaders are set to gather in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, where Mr. Trump has said he is interested in meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to defuse tensions. Iran didn’t react to the attacks on Saturday, and officials have said Mr. Rouhani won’t meet with Mr. Trump until the U.S. lifts sanctions imposed after the president pulled out of the 2015 international nuclear deal. The new strikes thrust Mr. Trump into a fierce foreign-policy crosswind as his national security team is at its thinnest point in more than a year and concerns about a global slowdown are fanning recession fears. Mr. Trump has supported Saudi Arabia’s leaders in their war in Yemen at a time when many U.S. lawmakers have soured on the conflict and grown impatient with the kingdom’s crown prince. At the same time, Mr. Trump has pursued what he calls his “maximum pressure” campaign of sanctions and military threats against Iran. Saturday’s attack was the largest yet claimed by the Houthis in terms of its overall impact on the Saudi economy. The attack hit hundreds of miles away from their Yemen stronghold. “The attack has been quite surprising” for the amount of damage it caused, said Fabian Hinz, an arms researcher at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, Calif. “We have seen quite a few drone and missile attacks against Saudi infrastructure, but in most cases the actual damage caused has been quite minimal,” said Mr. Hinz. Even before Mr. Pompeo tweeted, analysts cautioned against accepting the Houthi claim of responsibility at face value. An attack in May on a Saudi oil-pumping station, which Saudi officials initially blamed on the Houthis and Iran, later turned out to have been launched by an Iranian-backed militia in Iraq, according to U.S. officials. Saudi officials aren’t sure the attack emanated from Yemen and were discussing on Saturday the possibility that the attack came from the north, according to people familiar with the matter. Saudi oil officials rushed to contain the damage as fires raged in two major oil facilities. Aramco held an emergency board meeting on Saturday to manage the unfolding crisis, the people familiar with the matter said. The attacks hit Hijra Khurais, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest oil fields, which produces about 1.5 million barrels a day. They also hit Abqaiq, the world’s biggest crude stabilization facility, which processes seven million barrels of Saudi oil a day, about 8% of the world’s total. There were no injuries reported. The Abqaiq facility has come under attack before. In 2006, suicide bombers sent by terrorist group al Qaeda blew themselves up at the gate of the facility. “If you really want to stab the Saudi regime in the heart and send oil prices up, this is your target,” said Bob McNally, an energy expert and former member of the National Security Council under President George W. Bush who was involved in efforts to secure the facility between 2001 and 2003. The Houthis took control of Yemen’s capital, San’a, in 2014 during a civil war. Since then, a Saudi-led coalition has fought to unseat the Houthis and reinstate a government supported by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other regional powers. In recent months the Houthis, along with Iranian-backed armed groups in Iraq, have intensified a campaign of missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia, launching more than a dozen attacks at Saudi airports, a desalination plant and oil infrastructure. Suspected Houthi ordnance originating from the Yemeni border is launched at Saudi Arabia several times a week, a U.S. official said. The increasing sophistication of the attacks has shown deepening cooperation between the Houthis and Iran as Tehran has sought ways to apply pressure on their Saudi and American adversaries, according to U.S. officials and analysts. The Iranian government denies controlling the Houthi movement. A U.N. panel last year said there were strong indications Iran was the source of Houthi missile and drone technology but didn’t directly accuse the Tehran government of providing the weaponry. It said Iran has failed to take the necessary measures to prevent such transfers. “We promise the Saudi regime that our future operations will expand and be more painful as long as its aggression and siege continue,” a Houthi spokesman said Saturday. The strikes complicate U.N. and U.S. efforts to negotiate an end to the conflict, which has killed more than 10,000 people over the last four years. U.S. officials had quietly attempted to launch a back channel to the Houthis. The Yemen war is a central front in a new and more aggressive foreign policy overseen by Prince Mohammed, who launched the intervention with a coalition of allied states in 2015. Under the prince’s watch, the kingdom also applied a blockade on neighboring Qatar, detained Lebanon’s prime minister, and sent a team of men to kill exiled journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul in 2018. A conservative kingdom with a Sunni Muslim majority, Saudi Arabia has been an opponent of Iran in a struggle for power across the broader Middle East since the 1979 revolution that toppled Iran’s monarchy. The drone attacks on Aramco’s facilities are poorly timed for Aramco’s coming IPO and pose a challenge to oil officials after a changing of the guard in their leadership. Aramco last week picked seven international banks to help it list on Saudi Arabia’s domestic exchange, an IPO that could value the company at about $2 trillion dollars and come before the end of the year. 16. 9-15-2019 Newshound Guru Kaperoni ...guru Frank26 likes to refer to a minister of planning document talking about a 1 to $1 exchange rate. But it never said it would get there overnight! And as I've already said on numerous occasions Iraq could never afford a significant RV of the dinar due to the fact that there is in excess 42 trillion dinar in circulation. If the minister of planning was talking about an overnight event, it would have to be a LOP. The only thing that we should be hoping for is a gradual appreciation as stated by the IMF. Such an event like this would allow the money supply to be reduced as the currency appreciated. 9-14-2019 Intel Guru Frank26 ...I will tell you this with confidence, the visual aids of the new small category notes and fils are coming out this month of September. 17. “The Board discussed the follow-up of the implementation of the Arab Clearing System.” The Arab clearing system aims at enhancing the use of the Arab currencies in clearing and settling the inter-Arab payments as well as the major international currencies, thus reducing the time and cost of clearing Arab financial transactions and enhancing Arab investments and trade. The system also seeks to link with the payment systems of the main trading partners of Arab countries. In addition, it will work to develop clearing and settlement services for low-value payments, which will contribute to support financial inclusion in the Arab region, as well as studying the visibility of providing clearing and settlement services for securities transactions among Arab countries.

  20. Oil To Hit $100? Half Of Saudi Oil Output Shut After Drone Strikes Cripple World's Largest Oil Processing Facility Update: The WSJ is out with an update hinting at just how much the price of oil is set to soar when trading reopens late on Sunday after the Saudi Houthi false-flag drone attack on the largest Saudi oil processing plant: And while Aramco is assuring it can restore output quickly, in case it can't the world is looking at a production shortfall of as much as 150MM barrels monthly, which - all else equal - could send oil soaring into the triple digits. Just what the Aramco IPO ordered. 32 people are talking about this OPEC's Barkindo on Saudi Energy Output, U.S What appears to be the most devastating Yemen Houthi rebel attack on Saudi Arabia to date, took place overnight on the world's largest oil processing facility as stunning videos emerged of massive explosions rocking the major Aramco Buqyaq facility. Fires burned into the morning daylight hours, with explosions also reported at the Khurais oil field, in what the Houthis said was a successful attack involving ten drones. "These attacks are our right, and we warn the Saudis that our targets will keep expanding," a rebel military spokesman said on Houthi-operated Al Masirah TV. Satellite images shows extent of fires following the attacks in eastern Saudi Arabia: NASA Worldview/AP Saudi authorities — initially slow or reluctant to identify the cause of the major blaze — on Saturday issued a confirmation via the Saudi Press Agency: "At 4.00am (01:00 GMT) the industrial security teams of Aramco started dealing with fires at two of its facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais as a result of... drones," an interior ministry statement said, which further claimed the fires were "under control". 62 people are talking about this However, the Saudis have stopped short of acknowledging the Houthis were behind the attack, which Riyadh is also likely to blame on Iran, which has lately promised that if it can't export its oil then "no one will". It remains unclear according to early statements whether there were injuries or casualties in the twin oil facility attacks. 44 people are talking about this In some of the video captured by onlookers outside the Buqayq facility, gunfire in or around the complex was apparent. 21 people are talking about this The impact on global oil markets - closed for the weekend - could be significant given the Khurais field produces about 1% of all the world's oil (estimated at over 1M bpd and reserves of over 20BN bpd) and more importantly Abqaiq, which based on the stunning local footage bore the brunt of the drone attacks, remains the most crucial of the kingdom's processing plants. Located 37 miles southwest of Aramco’s Dhahran headquarters, it controls all the flows from fields like the giant Ghawar field to coastal export terminals like Ras Tanura. Saudi Aramco describes the Buqyaq facility as "the largest crude oil stabilization plant in the world." Meanwhile, the United States was quick to "strongly condemn" the attack amid already soaring tensions in the gulf after a summer of "tanker wars" and Iranian threats of walking away altogether from the 2015 nuclear deal (JCPOA). The U.S. envoy to Saudi Arabia issued a statement saying, “The U.S. strongly condemns today’s drone attacks against oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais. These attacks against critical infrastructure endanger civilians, are unacceptable, and sooner or later will result in innocent lives being lost.” According to Reuters reports the drone attacks will impact up to 5 million bpd of oil production, which suggests that the price of oil - already severely depressed by the recent news that John Bolton is out, making de-escalation with Iran far more likely - is set to soar when trading reopens late on Sunday, just what the upcoming Aramco IPO desperately needs, which in turn has prompted some to wonder if the "Yemen" attack on Saudi Arabia wasn't in fact orchestrated by Saudi interests. 18 years after Sept 11, this shouldn't sound all that outlandish...

What we do know however is what is not going to happen. There is not going to be a huge overnight RV, never been one in the past and not going to happen in the future. That myth was born from confusion between revaluation and redenomination. We do know how a redenomination would be implemented but that cannot happen overnight and is not going to happen any time soon. 9-15-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan Article: "Government source reveals program of Abdul-Mahdi's visit to China" Quote: "The economic and political circles in Baghdad are looking with optimism to the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to China on September 19 for four days, and it is reported in some economic circles that the visit will lead to the signing of about 30 large memorandums of understanding between Baghdad and Beijing..." I want them to work in unity with the Republicans but the jealously is so vicious and it's so wicked IMO that it's causing this rip. This tear. However, we are close to reaching an agreement with Erbil."; "The Ghadhban said that "optimistic to reach an agreement between the two sides,"stressing "We and the Kurdistan region in one ship, and we should reach an agreement." One question is whether the optimism expressed by Baghdad is shared by Kurdistan. Another question is whether the "agreement" is budgetary and for one year or is it a permanent agreement equating to the long awaited HydroCarbon Agreement. Any permanent HydroCarbon Ageement will likely require amendment / clarification constitutionally. ...a budget law agreement, if fully performed/honored by both sides, could be a good beginning.

A member of Parliamentary Finance talks about two indicators towards solving problems with Kurdistan Policy 2019-09-15 | 04:30 2,896 views A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee Faisal al-Issawi, on Sunday, that there are two indicators to go to solve the financial and oil problems related to Kurdistan, noting that the region sent a "verbal invitation" for a delegation from Baghdad to Kurdistan to see all accounts, records, spending mechanisms and money movement in the region. Al-Issawi said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "There are two indicators promise good to go to solve the financial and oil problems related to the Kurdistan region," adding that "the first indicator was through the agreement of the Presidency of the Parliament and heads of blocs on the importance of legislation of oil and gas law the current legislative chapter." He added that "the resolution of the oil and gas law will end to us major problems, namely the problem of licensing round in the central and southern provinces and the problem of oil contracts in the Kurdistan region," noting that "the second indicator is the coming of an oral call yesterday from Kurdistan to go a delegation from the Parliamentary Finance Committee and the Office of Financial Supervision Kurdistan to see all their accounts and records and mechanisms of tunnels and money movement in the region. " "These two indicators are reinforced by positive practical steps on the ground and there is a political atmosphere conducive to this matter, so we can reach a solution and there is nothing to be lost. 42. Saudi facilities attack threatens excess oil capacity and threatens to raise prices Economy | 12:30 - 15/09/2019 Follow - Mawazine News Attacks on major oil processing plants in Saudi Arabia are putting the world to the test of its ability to deal with a supply crisis as it faces the temporary loss of more than 5 percent of global supplies from the world's top crude exporter. The Iranian-backed al-Houthi group in Yemen has claimed responsibility for the attacks that led to the closure of two units at the Abqaiq facility, the heart of the oil industry in the kingdom. Crude oil prices could rise several dollars a barrel when markets open on Sunday night, as prolonged supply disruptions could prompt the United States and other countries to withdraw from their strategic oil stocks to increase commercially available quantities worldwide. The US Treasury said on Saturday it was ready to withdraw from strategic stocks if necessary. "Oil prices will jump due to this attack and if prolonged Saudi production is disrupted, the drawdown of strategic stockpiles ... seems likely and logical," said Jason Burdoff, founding director of the Center for Global Energy Policy at Columbia University in New York. It is too early to know the extent of the damage to the Saudi processing and supply chain units that transport crude oil from production fields to export facilities. Aramco Chief Executive Amin Al-Nasser said in a statement that the company would have more information within 48 hours as it works to halt production. Last year, Aramco's exports exceeded seven million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil, with three-quarters of those being delivered to customers in Asia. Saudi Arabia has reserves of about 188 million barrels, equivalent to Abqaiq's processing capacity, for about 37 days, according to a note on Saturday from Rabidan Energy Group. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries' (OPEC) surplus capacity, the untapped production capacity that can be used to supply consumers in the event of a shortage of supplies, has been declining for decades due to obsolete oil fields. In August, Saudi Arabia's actual 2.3 million barrels per day (bpd) of spare capacity was more than two-thirds of OPEC's 3.2 million bpd, according to IEA estimates. Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates contribute most of the difference. Analysts said Russia may have spare capacity in the wake of a global deal between OPEC and its allies to limit production to boost prices. The US Department of Energy says the US strategic stockpile is now about 644 million barrels, equivalent to nearly US production in 52 days. A prolonged supply disruption could push up production and exports from the United States, but analysts and oil traders said US companies' response to price changes could take months due to logistical constraints. US production now exceeds 12 million bpd and exports exceed 3 million bpd, but it is unclear whether US export facilities can absorb additional shipments. "Every day the facility remains closed, the world loses another five million barrels of oil production," said Andy Lippo, president of Lippoil Associates. The world's spare capacity is not five million barrels per day. ”

  43. Kurdish source reveals details of the visit of the delegation of the region to Baghdad By ahad5 14/09/2019 08:57 PM | The number of readings: 1 http://alahadnews.net/index.php/permalink/178425.html Al-Ahd News- Continue A Kurdish government source revealed on Saturday a topic which he described as important to be discussed by the Kurdish delegation during his next visit to Baghdad. The source said, "The delegation of the Government of the Territory, which will visit Baghdad, will be headed by Minister of Planning Dara Rashid, and loaded with all the powers on a number of outstanding issues with the federal government." He added that "the most important topic will be discussed by the delegation is the region's share of the 2020 budget, and in the event of obtaining guarantees to increase its share of the budget and the payment of peshmerga dues and salaries in full, it will proceed with the rest of the negotiations that will lead to the resolution of outstanding problems between the region and the center." The source added that "the normalization of the situation in Kirkuk and disputed areas will also be on the table," noting that "this file will be used as a kind of pressure on the federal government to ensure its approval of the financial allocations to the region." He pointed out that "the arrival of negotiations to the positive results will agree to the Kurdish delegation to hand over Baghdad 250 thousand barrels of oil of the region, as well as the delivery of part of the revenues of border crossings, but if the negotiations do not reach the results satisfactory to the parties, it will be left to other visits."
