  1. Added at 10:10 PM EDT: 9-13-2019 Intel Guru Frank ...their pattern is always to wait till the last second to do something. But between now and the last week of September IMO is a good window to do what they showed them in the visual aids. It's no secret. The CBI is telling the citizens we're giving you purchasing power. The citizens know it. You know it. It's no secret...everything is on course. We're alright...!

  2. I came from the island of Micronesia to join the USMC. I am so glad I made that choice to serve this country. It gave me an opportunity to better my life. I experienced many things and met many people from different background, rich or poor. I also went to many places around the world and seen how other people live. I am thankful that I am an American now.

  3. Luigi, this post is shameful, disgusting, and disregards the American lives lost on 9/11 and the hundreds of first responders that are still losing their lives today. Luigi, you post crazy stuff when you don't need to, but this takes the cake. When you use 9/11 victims and the brave people that rushed in the save them for another script in your crazy RV conspiracy world, you sink to a new level of low.

  4. Iran-Iraq gas and electricity payment mechanism yet to be finalised: official 31 minutes ago | 39 Views Fazel Hawramy https://www.rudaw.net/english/middleeast/iran/14092019 Photo: AP Tags: Iran Iraq energy sanctions ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Baghdad is yet to find a financial mechanism to settle its debts with US sanction-stricken Iran, secretary general of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Sayyid Hamid Hosseini said on Saturday. Iran, which provides up to 40 percent of Iraq's electricity needs, has struggled to recoup payments from Baghdad since the US government withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal and re-imposed economic sanctions on Tehran, effectively cutting Iran off from the global financial system. "The problem we face with Iraq now is we have not been able to reach a mechanism to receive the fees for gas and electricity," Hosseini said in an interview with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Tasnim news outlet. On a daily basis, Iran currently exports 1200 to 1500 megawatts of electricity to Iraq, he added, and 37 to 38 million cubic meters of natural gas, used to feed several of Iraq’s power stations. "Iraq needs 25,000 megawatts, but currently can only produce 15,000 to 16,000 megawatts," he claimed. "Iraqi people are facing severe shortages of electricity and power cuts." Iran has exported electricity and natural gas to Iraq for more than a decade. It currently exports 3.5 to four billion dollars’ worth of electricity and natural gas a year to its western neighbour. US sanctions have prevented Baghdad from repaying the roughly $2 billion it owes in unpaid debts to Iran. Under the terms of four consecutive sanction waivers Washington has granted Iraq, it is obliged to stop trading with Iran in dollars. Casting doubts on a possible easing of Iraq’s gas dependency on Iran, Hosseini added that he does not expect Iraqis to be able to capture and exploit its associated petroleum gas – a process for which Iraq is currently seeking investment and infrastructural assistance – for another three to four years. Efforts to establish a payment mechanism have been long-running, with Iranian central bank governor Abdolnasser Hemmati meeting with his Iraqi counterpart in Baghdad to sign an agreement for Iraq to settle its dues back in February. Failure to have finalized a payment route comes despite Hosseini telling Rudaw English in early July that the financial mechanism between Iran and Iraq designed to bypass US sanctions was fully "operational," and that Baghdad had already started depositing money owed to Iran into a special account at the privately-owned Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI). Iraq is a key source of export revenue for Iran, with $9 billion of Tehran’s $25 billion in non-petroleum exports heading to Baghdad, according to the Joint Chamber of Commerce. Despite pending payments, an increasing number of land border crossings are opening up between the two countries to facilitate trade. Current trade volume between Iraq and Iran stands at $13 billion, according to Hassan Danaeifar, secretary of the Committee to Develop Iranian Economic Ties with Iraq.

  5. It's 9/11/19... never forget. I have an update, but it won't be posted till tomorrow. In the meantime... ================ Good morning all! 12 September, 2019 as I'm editing this post. September 11 is always a tough day for me personally... Like many of you, I remember exactly where I was. What I felt. How deeply I and my fellow Americans and indeed the world were affected on that day. As important as the Iraqi Dinar RV is to many of us, I simply could not bring myself to post anything other than my heartfelt remembrance yesterday. My heart, prayers, and thoughts will always be with the many who were affected on that day years ago - but today is a new day, and while I/We will never forget... we must move forward. As we move forward, to the present day, where so much has changed and yet so much has not, there is another situation that is taking a lot of my time right now - the devastation left by Hurricane Dorian, particularly in the Bahamas. I've been personally involved with some relief missions over the last week, and I'm continuing to work with a couple of groups that are dedicated to helping the Bahamians long after this current disaster is out of the News. This community has came together in the past to accomplish some amazing things (remember TFYC for Dominica?), and I have confidence that I'll be able to reach out for your support in a couple weeks when I've solidified some things I'm currently working on. Just like our relief efforts for Dominica, I will be personally ensuring that any dollars this group donates will be put to the most efficient possible use, with 0 waste. On to the Dinar! WTI OIL is currently at 54.94 - I don't think I've ever seen an easier chart to read. This is what we call "stabilized": It's been some time since this came up in the news, but I believe it was about 5 months ago I made mention of Saudi Arabia working on playing nice with Iraq again... and what they have to gain by doing so. Saudi Arabia couldn't be bothered to give Iraq the time of day 10 years ago... now, they are changing their tune: Other news that's positive - CBI, IMF, GOI are all active. We are not in one of those vacation-day lulls. Overall, it looks like things should start moving... right in time to hit a mid-September spurt. That's it for now! Stay positive, stay safe, be well everyone, and of course GOOOOO RRRVVVV!!!!! - Adam P.S. It seems fitting to throw one of these in here: Arrrrg!

  7. Agreed!!! Who cares where those funds came from? All I know (assuming/hoping) is I’m sure that, that is enough for a healthy RV/RI!!!! Actually, I think it does matter where the funds come from because because if the money came from Africa, then it doesn't have anything to do with Iraq or with Maliki. It appears that the Dubai police were wrong when they initially stated this money was from Iraq and was on Maliki's plan. Shortly after they said that, they issued a retraction and said it came from Africa. But, jg1, I also hope Maliki has to answer for all the crooked and horrible things he's done.

  14. 9-13-2019 Newshound Guru Kaperoni I can say with certainty there will be no introduction of small denominations because that's just not how monetary policy works there is no RV or RI. If the dinar goes up in value gradually as we expect any transition to any smaller denomination or notes would be seamless with little fanfare. If Parliament were to pass a law to redenominate the currency (LOP) then I could see the introduction of a package of small notes and displayed in advance of their implementation. 9-13-2019 Newshound Guru Jeff ...IMO tomorrow you will not see any information about the VP's in Iraq...I have some very strong confirming factual information I just received from the Iraq government directly. I will share this with you when I see the one article I'm looking for...there is only one remaining position. It is only the Education Minister. It shows that they have done away with the Vice Presidents. Those positions have been eliminated...The only position we are waiting on is just the Education Minister. IMO they are going to complete that position on Saturday the 21st. When I see news articles telling you that I will share my factual information that I have on how I received it directly from the Iraqi Government...

  17. If there ever was a time to close the HCL this would be it. Saudi Oil Attack: This Is the Big One The technological sophistication and audacity of Saturday’s attack will linger over the energy market Smoke billowed from an Aramco oil facility in Abqaiq, in Saudi Arabia's eastern province, where drone attacks sparked fires Saturday. PHOTO: -/AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE/GETTY IMAGES By Spencer Jakab Saturday’s attack on a critical Saudi oil facility will almost certainly rock the world energy market in the short term, but it also carries disturbing long-term implications. Ever since the dual 1970s oil crises, energy security officials have fretted about a deliberate strike on one of the critical choke points of energy production and transport. Sea lanes such as the Strait of Hormuz usually feature in such speculation. The facility in question at Abqaiq is perhaps more critical and vulnerable. The Wall Street Journal reported that five million barrels a day of output, or some 5% of world supply, would be taken offline as a result. To illustrate the importance of Abqaiq in the oil market’s consciousness, an unsuccessful terrorist attack in 2006 using explosive-laden vehicles sent oil prices more than $2.00 a barrel higher. Saudi Arabia is known to spend billions of dollars annually protecting ports, pipelines and processing facilities, and it is the only major oil producer to maintain some spare output. Yet the nature of the attack, which used drones launched by Iranian-supported Houthi fighters from neighboring Yemen, shows that protecting such facilities may be far more difficult today ere are countries that even today see their output ebb and flow as a result of militant activity, most notably Nigeria and Libya. Others, such as Venezuela, are in chronic decline due to political turmoil. Such news affects the oil price at the margin but is hardly shocking. Deliberate attacks by actual military forces have been far rarer, with the exception of the 1980s “Tanker War” involving Iraq, Iran and the vessels of other regional producers such as Kuwait. When Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi forces invaded Kuwait in 1990, removing its production from the market and putting Saudi Arabia’s massive crude output under threat, prices more than doubled over two months. Yet Saturday’s attack could be more significant than that. Technology from drones to cyberattacks are available to groups like the Houthis, possibly with support from Saudi Arabia’s regional rival Iran. That major energy producer, facing sanctions but still shipping some oil, has both a political and financial incentive to weaken Saudi Arabia. The fact that the actions ostensibly were taken by a nonstate actor, though, limits the response that the U.S. or Saudi Arabia can take. Attempting to further punish Iran is a double-edged sword, given that pinching its main source of revenue, also oil, would further inflame prices. While the outage may not last long given redundancies in Saudi oil infrastructure, the attack may build in a premium to oil prices that has long been absent due to complacency. Indeed, traders may now need to factor in new risks that threaten to take not hundreds of thousands but millions of barrels off the market at a time. U.S. shale production may have upended the world energy market with nimble output, but the market’s reaction time is several months, not days or weeks, and nowhere near enough to replace several million barrels. After the smoke clears and markets calm down, the technological sophistication and audacity of Saturday’s attack will linger over the energy market.

  18. President Trump has said for years that the US was hurt by politicians that didn’t protect US jobs. He decided to do something about and the US is winning because of it! The far-left Washington Post wrote in August that President Trump’s tariffs will cost the average family hundreds of dollars a year – But it was just more fake news from the far left Washington Post. Sorry liberals, Trump’s tariffs are having little to no impact on the cost of goods to the consumer. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported this morning that the costs of imports actually went down in August. Prices for U.S. imports fell 0.5 percent in August following a 0.1-percent increase in July and a 1.1-percent decline in June. With the exception of the August and June decreases, U.S. import prices advanced in each month of 2019. Despite the increases, the price index for U.S. imports declined 2.0 percent from August 2018 to August 2019. (See table 1.) President Trump said years ago what he would do years ago about China to stop their theft of American jobs – tax China 25%. WARNING LANGUAGE

  19. Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz is finalizing his report on the investigation into the FBI’s handling of President Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia probe, according to a source familiar with the matter and a letter sent to lawmakers Friday. A draft of the report has been delivered to the DOJ and FBI, confirmed the source Horowitz informed the chairmen of several House and Senate committees that his team has “reviewed over one million records and conducted over 100 interviews” Horowitz said in the letter. “We have now begun the process of finalizing our report by providing a draft of our factual findings to the Department and the FBI for classification determination and marking,” he added.”Once we receive the marked document back from the Department and the FBI, we will then proceed with our usual process for preparing final draft public and classified reports, and ensuring that appropriate reviews occur for accuracy and comment purposes.” The DOJ is also expected to declassify the documents related to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant the FBI obtained on short term Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page, along with a number of other documents that Republican lawmakers say will expose malfeasance at the FBI. The IG’s review of the FBI’s alleged misconduct stemmed from the FISA warrant taken out on Page in September 2016, along with three renewals to continue monitoring his communications. Ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee Rep. Devin Nunes, R-CA, has chided the bureau saying senior officials of the FBI may have misled the FISA courts. Nunes has been arguing for the declassification of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance warrant on Page, along with the bureau’s interviews with former DOJ official Bruce Ohr, internal emails and the Gang of Eight classified binder on the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign. Senator Lindsey Graham, who is expected to advise Attorney General William Barr on the rollout of the classified documents, told Fox News recently that he wants the “public to see the process in real-time.” “I want the FISA warrant applications to be revealed to the public as much as possible. What do we know from the Horowitz report regarding Comey,” Graham said. “He was basically was accused of manipulating the system, ignoring rules and procedures that are in place regarding memos owned by the government to get an outcome. Comey wanted a special counsel appointed. He manipulated the system to get the outcome.”

  31. I can understand. A gun is a tool. Until you are trained in the use of said tool I understand the apprehension you feel. It is the same when you buy a new saw, or drill, or car, a horse or knife set. Until you learn how to use them they all could maim or kill you or others if used improperly. A loaded firearm when properly stored will not go off unless someone pulls the trigger. I carry my gun in a holster with the chamber loaded, hammer cocked and the gun safety on. It is called Condition One. I have absolutely no fear that it is going to fire. I have been around firearms since I was about 10. You would probably feel differently if you were around them more in a controlled setting. I am not trying to convince you to like them, only that people do become more comfortable with their surroundings as they are exposed to it. If you ever come to the States again and are in the Idaho area, let me know and I could show you the area and introduce you to a few mild firearms.

  32. Do you recognize the signs of groupthink among your friends and family members who follow the Democratic party and Socialist candidates? Symptoms of Groupthink Illusions of invulnerability lead members of the group to be overly optimistic and engage in risk-taking. Unquestioned beliefs lead members to ignore possible moral problems and ignore the consequences of individual and group actions. Rationalizing prevents members from reconsidering their beliefs and causes them to ignore warning signs. Stereotyping leads members of the in-group to ignore or even demonize out-group members who may oppose or challenge the group's ideas. Self-censorship causes people who might have doubts to hide their fears or misgivings. "Mindguards" act as self-appointed censors to hide problematic information from the group. Illusions of unanimity lead members to believe that everyone is in agreement and feels the same way. Direct pressure to conform is often placed on members who pose questions, and those who question the group are often seen as disloyal or traitorous And she is a jack *ss. 34. It is called "situational awareness" UMB. And it helps if you are from an area where children are taught to respect others and firearms. If you are from a culture that does not teach that firearms are a tool and not evil, or just aren't familiar with them then I can see your point. I prefer conceal carry but for the sake of the pic it makes a funny situation.

  36. Thanks for honoring our 9/11 victims and families, the first responders (both alive and those who sacrificed their lives) and the nearly 19 years of military service members, homeland security, intelligence community and others who have kept the battle mostly "over there." As a 5th generation veteran (and maybe 6th which we are still trying to verify that far back), it is a very personal thing every time we have a day to remember these sacrifices. RV would be nice but it's such a small thing in comparison. God bless all who serve and have served.

  38. DOO DOO ABOUT TO HIT THE FAN September 13th, 2019 Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz testifies during a Judiciary Committee hearing into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election on Capitol Hill in Washington, U.S., July 26, 2017. REUTERS/Aaron P. Bernstein The Justice Department’s inspector general told Congress on Friday that he completed his investigation into possible FBI abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act during the Trump-Russia probe, and has sent a draft version of his report to the Justice Department and FBI for review. “We have now begun the process of finalizing our report by providing a draft of our factual findings to the Department and the FBI for classification determination and marking,” Michael Horowitz, the inspector general, said in a letter to several congressional committees. Horowitz, an Obama appointee, opened an investigation March 28, 2018, into the FBI’s applications for FISA warrants against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page. He informed the committees on June 25 that the investigation was “nearing completion,” and that his office had interviewed more than 100 witnesses and reviewed more than 1 million documents in the probe The FBI relied heavily on the infamous and unverified Steele dossier in applications for the warrants. The special counsel’s report severely undercut dossier author Christopher Steele’s claim that there was a “well-developed conspiracy of co-operation” between the Trump campaign and Russian government. The special counsel said there was no evidence of a conspiracy involving the Trump team. There was also no evidence that Page or any other Trump associates acted as agents of Russia. Republicans have accused the FBI of mishandling the dossier, and failing to disclose to FISA Court judges that the DNC and Clinton campaign had hired Steele to investigate Trump. Investigators with the OIG reportedly interviewed Steele in London, where he is based, in early June. Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, immediately called on Chairman Jerry Nadler to call Horowitz and FBI Director Christopher Wray to testify before the panel once the report is released. “We must act swiftly to address concerns outlined in the Inspector General’s report,” Collins wrote to Nadler. “Accordingly, I write to request you schedule a hearing as soon as possible following Congress’s receipt of the report. Further, I request that you invite Inspector General Michael Horowitz and Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray to discuss the findings of the investigation at that hearing.”

  42. From the Englishman Saudi Arabia oil facilities ablaze after drone strikes 1 hour ago Share this with Facebook Share this with Messenger Share this with Twitter Share this with EmDrone attacks have set alight two major oil facilities run by the state-owned company Aramco in Saudi Arabia, state media say. Footage showed flames and huge palls of smoke over Abqaiq, site of Aramco's largest oil processing plant. A second drone attack also started fires in the Khurais oilfield to the west. The fires are now under control at both facilities, state media said. Iran-aligned Houthi fighters in Yemen have been blamed for previous attacks. However, the Saudi media reports did not say who could be behind the latest attacks. "At 04:00 (0100 GMT), the industrial security teams of Aramco started dealing with fires at two of its facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais as a result of... drones," the official Saudi Press Agency reported. "The two fires have been controlled." Abqaiq is about 60km (37 miles) south-west of Dhahran in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, while Khurais, some 200km further south-west, has the country's second largest oilfield. Saudi security forces foiled an attempt by al-Qaeda to attack the Abqaiq facility with suicide bombers in 2006. Who could be behind the attacks? Houthi fighters were blamed for drone attacks on the Shaybah natural gas liquefaction facility last month and on other oil facilities in May. The Iran-aligned rebel movement is fighting the Yemeni government and a Saudi-led coalition. Yemen has been at war since 2015, when President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi was forced to flee the capital Sanaa by the Houthis. Saudi Arabia backs President Hadi, and has led a coalition of regional countries against the rebels. Yemen conflict explained in 400 words Why is there a war in Yemen? Yemen war: Has anything been achieved? The coalition launches air strikes almost every day, while the Houthis often fire missiles into Saudi Arabia. However, there are other sources of tension in the region, often stemming from the rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Saudi Arabia and the US both blamed Iran for attacks in the Gulf on two oil tankers in June and July, allegations Tehran denied. Gulf of Oman tanker attacks: What we know Iran-US tensions: What's going on? In May, four tankers, two of them Saudi-flagged, were damaged by explosions within the UAE's territorial waters in the Gulf of Oman. Saudi Arabia and then US National Security Adviser John Bolton blamed Iran. Tehran said the accusations were "ridiculous". Tension in the vital shipping lanes worsened when Iran shot down a US surveillance drone over the Strait of Hormuz in June, leading a month later to the Pentagon announcing the deployment of US troops to Saudi Arabia.
