  1. I want to take a little bit of your time to reintroduce myself as I try to find my way around the DV site again after being away for the better part of a year. My name is Dave and I have been a member here since late 2009. I go by Seabee and sometimes as Seabee1972, which being that 1972 was the year I went into the Navy Seabee's. I live in upstate New York and for the best part of 20 years worked at the Remington Arms Co. in Ilion, N.Y. I last worked there as a prooffer in the gallery until I had to leave due to service connected illness and injuries. So, because of the Seabee's plus being affiliated with the Shore Patrol and working with the Remington Arms Co., guns have played a large part of my life. Anyway, last year I contracted a stomach virus and it was complicated by the Addison Disease I have. I almost died one night last April and lost 25 pounds in four days, but managed to come out of it by June. I have other health issues which can't be explained by some Dr's feel I may have come into contact with Agent Orange while stationed on Diego Garcia during the mid 1970's. If any of you have evidence of AO on Diegi Garcia please let me know. Last June when I felt better, I went to sign on DV.com and could not remember my password. I tried to contact tech support but couldn't get anyone to respond back to me or so I thought. I tried and tried to get a response many times over but it was a no go. I wanted to get back on here and participate and write to my friends. I have lost track of a lot of good friends, namely Betty Boop, Cosmos and others just to name a couple. Did you all change your ID or move on to other things? Finally, I said to Hell with it and concentrated on my health issue. Just back in January I had a total knee replacement done on my right knee. This was a result of a service aggravated injury. My knee is better and it feels great. I will have the other one done next winter and the right hip done soon after. Just a couple of weeks ago I was able to get in contact with TexasGranny and Bumper. They were both helpful in getting me back on board the site. I wish to thank them for the help. What stumped me was how DV was able to get other E-mail addresses that were in my name but never used. So whenever I sent a querie in I often wondered why I never got a reply back. It seems that AOL is not a compatible mail server to DV. Maybe this can explain the reason others are having issue with contacting DV from what I see from time to time. TexasGranny or Bumper, could you please tell me why your VIP site won't accept my AOL address like the main site does so that I can renew VIP status. Anyway, it is good to finally be back onto the main DV site. Some may wonder why I might open up about myself, but I am a pretty open book and of my friends know me that way as well. Let's say I wouldn't be your typical politician, LOL. I find it refreshing, but am smart enough not to tell all about myself that some could use against you. It has been a long time waiting for an RV or whatever else to happen and some days I was left wondering will it happen, or won't it happen? Over the years I have become more of an optimist, because of my strong faith in God. If I should die before the IQD revalues, I have told my kids that they will all be left to them with my best wishes. I trust they will do good with their new found wealth as they know what I would have done with a portion of any wealth.   2. Let me get this straight: only "certain" people have the license to use the N word? If anyone else does, they're automatically "Racist?" So who gets to use the "C" word, or the "F" word or the "B" word? And who gets to decide who can and who can't? I think most of the nation has caught on to the mantra of many that anytime any discussion of reform of ANY entitlement program can mean only that the person who calls for it is racist. And the Lefties (and ONLY the lefties) have that right, even though Lefties are far more racist historically than anyone on the right. Many of the leaders in the black community (Oops.....I used one of the "B" words.......) have realized how devastating to African-American culture giveaway programs have become. Many see how Big Government has De-humanized all minorities through Welfare programs, making those in these communities dependent on Big Government. If it was only about helping them have food, good housing and good education, Lefties would either fix the broken programs or drop the programs entirely and spend their time and efforts (and our tax dollars) working with and referring hurting people to the Non Profit Civic and Religious organizations throughout the Nation who have in many ways perfected the processes of helping people without taking their humanity away from them. Notice that those on the Left automatically scream "Racist" when anyone on the Right even utters a sound about Social Programs Reform. How can anyone on the Right defend themselves if even they should have to? It's almost like someone asking, "When did you stop beating your wife?" Of course no one would EVER believe you if you responded simply that you never beat your wife. Same thing applies here. Raise your hand if you like me have ever been in a grocery line with someone in front of you with a basket full of t-bones and/or ribeyes paying with food stamps while in your basket you had to downsize to round steak or chicken because ribeyes and t-bones are too expensive? Oh, and by the way, some of YOUR tax dollars paid for THEIR steak. But then that's what we're supposed to do: "take from those who have and give to those who don't," when all along you give to charities and your church and your friends who are in need, etc. But Big Brother can do a better job than you. Racist?????? I call it "common sense."

  3. Obama Impeachment Almost Complete John Ransom | Mar 24, 2014 Jim Jordan wants to know what the White House knew about the IRS targeting scandal, and when they knew it-- as if we didn’t know. The conservative Representative from Ohio has penned an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal calling for a special prosecutor to investigate the activities of the IRS and, more specifically Lois Lerner, the former IRS official who is at the center of the controversy. Jordan essentially is saying where there is smoke there is fire, and oh yeah, where there’s fire, there is fire too. “Emails and testimony that we confronted Ms. Lerner with showed her saying that the tea party is ‘very dangerous,’” writes Jordan, “ordering a ‘multitiered review’ (read: delay) of the cases, and managing the optics of her operation so it would not be revealed as a political project.” Make no mistake, this goes all the way up to the White House, to the Oval Office, and for that reason this will not be going away. That was practically guaranteed when Lerner showed up at Congress twice and invoked her Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate herself. Those who try to ride the revolutionary tiger, by letting it out of the cage, make a tasty meal eventually. And the tiger makes no distinction between the president and a department head. Congress does however. And so does the electorate. From the day that Congress passed Obamacare under Democrat control, there has never been a time in which Obama’s political position did not grow weaker. He lost the US House of Representatives in 2010, and only narrowly controls the Senate. Sure he won reelection, but his second term could end up being more of a curse than a blessing. The White House has been enmeshed in a series of scandals, missteps and poor politics that’s only become more obvious, and more quickly moving since Obama’s reelection. As the president has grown weaker, he’s become more and more reckless, telling bigger and bigger lies. I often tell candidates, especially ones who are political novices, that they have to keep one thing in mind about politics: eventually through the miasma of lies, distortions and rhetoric, politics, at the highest level, is eventually about truth; about absolute, positive truth. The Soviet empire did not collapse because socialism is an inefficient form of government. It collapsed because as an inefficient form of government it tried to prop itself up with lies about record harvests and tractor production that just didn’t exist. The beauty of economics, as it relates to politics, is that it will brook no lies. The truth eventually wins out. Obama can try to brazen his way through any one of dozens of scandals that now surround the most incompetent administration since Warren G. Harding, but the truth is out. The economics are against him. And that’s why people no longer trust him. Impeach him? Certainly, if you can prove beyond a doubt he’s committed a crime. But there is no reason to make the man a martyr. The only impeachment that was ever going to work was the one Obama eventually got; and that’s the one he provided himself. He’s the guy we warned you about all along. In fact, he’s worse than the guy we warned you about. And no matter what Lois Lerner or Jim Jordan have to say about it, Obama himself was the guy who caused his own impeachment of the public trust. In the end, like the Politburo, Obama will be done in by his own lies. It took the Soviets 70 years to collapse the system. It took Obama about two years to collapse on himself. That he got the two years to begin with was more about the group delusion that Obama was the Messiah than anything substantive he’s done. “A nation and a woman are not forgiven the unguarded hour,” writes Karl Marx, “in which the first adventurer that came along could violate them.” Let’s hope Marx got that part wrong too.

  10. According to Ali at Dinar Trade, when IQD does whatever it's going to do, we are to call him and scedule an appointment for the exchange. At the time of the call, he will lock in your rate at whatever it is at that time. It's a roll of the dice. It could go up or it could go down between the time you set the appointment and when you go in. He's also saying that he will beat the banks and the other brokers. Something about offering a rate that they couldn't touch, even with the spread figured in. I've talked to the manager at my local bank and told him up front that I was going to be going through my broker. He asked why. I told him what Ali had said and that the only way I would go through the bank was if they could come close enough to Ali's offer that it would be worth it to me to not have to drive to Santa Monica. He said that we can wait and crunch numbers when it hapens...

It went like this: RT on the New York State Thruway. $ 3.00 Valet Parking $ 10.00 A lite meal at the cafe $ 14.00 Playing one slot machine for two hours. $220.00 In all, I spent nearly $250.00 and the afternoon was a loss for me. The money I spent was what I could afford to loose and I had a nice relaxing afternoon in the end. Oh that reminds me, the money I spent on the several thousand dollars worth of Dinars I purchased in the past was also money I could afford to loose. It is an investment in which we all take the good with the bad.

GOLD PRICES extended last week's drop throughout Asian and London trade on Monday, hitting the lowest level since mid-February at $1311 per ounce as US interest rates rose on the Treasury market and the Dollar edged higher. Silver mapped the drop in gold prices, also losing 1.5% from last Friday's finish to trade at 5-week lows of its own at $20.08. European stock markets fell the same proportion, but copper rallied from this month's 10% plunge to 44-month lows despite new data showing Chinese manufacturing activity shrinking yet again in March. China's HSBC/Markit manufacturing PMI gave its lowest reading since July, and lagged analyst forecasts for the third month running. US manufacturing, in contrast, continued to expand near the fastest pace in 12 months on the same analysis. "We continue to find it difficult to see the rally [in gold prices] as sustainable in the absence of strong physical demand from Asia," says the latest note from commodity analysts at South Africa's Standard Bank. "We also believe that real interest rates in the US will continue to rise," Standard Bank analyst Walter de Wet goes on. "The relationship between real long-term interest rates in the US and the gold price is strongly negative." Ten-year US bond yields rose further on Monday, pushing up to 2.75% as Treasury debt prices fell. Consumer price inflation in the US was last pegged at 1.1% annually on the official measure. Last week the new US Federal Reserve chairwoman Janet Yellen said overnight US rates could be raised from zero in late 2015, earlier than previous Fed forecasts. I had a DV member e-mail me off site and tell me that the only reason I wrote what I did above, was because I was looking for sympathy and was trying to increase my status..... Reading that E-mail made me want to puke. This is not what I am all about and for those like this e-mail writer and others like him, they can go piss up a rope. How does Iraq keep buying high dollar goods without a money value other than a program rate and isn't the dinar notes they are using is the three 000's that they are trying to bring in...Seems to me that using the dinar and program rate suits them just fine as long as they can buy what they need....So what's their incentive to RV

What laws are still hanging out there that have to be done? What are your contacts in Iraq saying. I can't believe they are waiting on the elections to revalue currency. Just doesn't make sense

  26. If you're referring to the 1993 re-denomination the old peso was exchanged for the new peso at 1000:1 old for new. It's the same as what the CBI is saying for the dinar.

  33. Thinking Out of the Box Many hundreds of years ago in a small Italian town, a merchant had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to the moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the merchant’s beautiful daughter so he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the merchant’s debt if he could marry the daughter. Both the merchant and his daughter were horrified by the proposal. The moneylender told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty bag. The girl would then have to pick one pebble from the bag. If she picked the black pebble, she would become the moneylender’s wife and her father’s debt would be forgiven. If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father’s debt would still be forgiven. But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail. They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the merchant’s garden. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick her pebble from the bag. What would you have done if you were the girl? If you had to advise her, what would you have told her? Careful analysis would produce three possibilities: 1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble. 2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the moneylender as a cheat. 3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking. *The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.* "Oh! How clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked." Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one.   42. Isn't it crazy? Just a couple short years ago, people considered themselves to be in the "only" political camp that made any sense. Now, great numbers are realizing the establishment on either "side" identical, and accepting the only way to bring about any meaningful reforms are through self-empowerment. It's what happened in the colonies that lead to united States, which became the beacon of light that inspired the creative genius of individuals, which collectively created the greatest nation on earth. Unfortunately, this attracted persons with low ability and high ambitions, who then tried to subject and control the individual through fear, violence, incarceration, and death. Let us not forget, it is not the sum of the whole, rather, the value of the one, that made this country great.

  43. Why would you need documented proof as to where your Dinar came from? Been said many times on this site it doesn't matter just as it doesn't matter where your dollars come from. You are in possession therefore they belong to you. Has anyone ever asked where you got your dollars from? Lots of us don't have any type of certificates to verify anything. When we started ten years ago I don't even think they were available. Only have to verify they are legitimate currency. Excellent point on travelling with Dinar though. I'm sure Adam has that covered but since I don't know the answer I defer to others.

  44. I think birtherism is outrageous. And I believe the way republicans have screwed veterans is un patriotic but thats just me living in reality where proof and facts reign supreme.
