  1. I know YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!! First...one's time in service is a non factor in one's ability to be patient. Try again. 10 MINS or 10 years....we all are still in the same tax bracket...k? Secondly...why are you assuming that a person's sign up date to be a member on this site as an indication of just how long a person's been holding dinar...DON'T ASSUME!!! I can roll my eyes all day if bullsnicker keeps getting flung around...which is going on A LOT. So chill out. Your dinar is not more special than mine....they all smell like camel dung. Ok  The nerve of some people...

  2. All this because I said "can we get an RV???" I don't drop in every 3-4 months...thank you very much...I lurk like most others do. I "may" sign in like others do to as I see fit....but when did this become high school and a clique. Are we adults? Can we express an opinion??? GUESS NOT...Unless you are a "senior member" "vip member" or the zig...c'mon...that is ridiculous. Why the zig took my comment personally leaves a lot to the imagination. But it's irrelevant. I don't take your assumption of my princess avatar being made that I'm pretentious....which I'm not.... I MADE A COMMENT ON THIS THREAD ABOUT CAN THIS RV ALREADY......Saying what most want to say....I just typed it...and your bff took it personally and then assumed that I haven't been a dinar holder long enough....Since when did we have to show copies of our receipts on here??? we don't...so please EVERYONE...chill out....if you don't like something...scroll down and keep it moving. I don't have an attitude but I will "keep it 100" with you.

  3. Thank you. Knew I wasn't the only one... ;) Randy Koonce hinted that when we see Talabani come back that thte rv wasn't too far off. I know that it's fodder for the rumor mill but that is why I asked initially "can we get an RV".... Randy keeps it 100 for the most part and I kind of believe that this song and dance can't go on much longer. The jig is up and Iraq needs to show it's cards now. Hopefully Talabani will be the catalyst to get it done. FINALLY.

Defense and Interior...They recognize and admit this is the most contentious of issues. I don’t see them getting this done today – but they are dealing with it right now, so “soon” isn’t out of the question. 8-25-2012 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG the first (and most critical) thing Talibani has to do once he gets back is to meet with Barzani – Period. That unified platform must happen first…then everything else can happen. 8-25-2012 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3 Talabani still has not returned to Iraq. Scheduled the last two Thursdays in a row to arrive and canceled on Wed. night both times. Solid source. If everyone remembers I said many times that although they worked and had many meetings during Ramadan they again now for 3 years did not confirm or complete anything. I just hope they did make positive progress as has been reported. I feel sure they have made great progress but only time will show the results and facts about what has been accomplished. 8-25-2012 SWFloridaGuy: There is still no solid date for Talabani's return. I've read all the rumors that he's already arrived and that is of course a possibility but I have a hard time believing that people in chat rooms actually have a contact that hangs out with the President. If this were the case, we'd receive far more accurate reports out of Iraq. It's possible, but I will wait for more confirmation that he has indeed returned. There were some vague references that alluded to the beginning of September for his arrival in Baghdad and others that said possibly sooner but nothing concrete as of yet. There is a meeting tomorrow between Maliki and Najafi regarding the new reform paper and the naming of the Ministers, that I am hoping produces something positive. It may be a preparatory step in anticipation of the Presidents return, which is hopefully laying the groundwork for the upcoming National Meeting. One of these days, what I hope will happen and what actually does transpire is gonna line up. I really don't put much weight into the rumors of "big announcements." Especially in terms of relating to anything remotely resembling a revaluation of their currency. If indeed that is their plan (which I believe it is), they would never give the world a heads up. I'm just looking for general progress and hoping that one possible "big announcement" could be a date set for a National Meeting where Allawi and the Iraqi List are in attendance. They will continue to boycott unless power-sharing is addressed and if they are on board with the proposals, that's a great sign that all the blocs find the reforms agreeable. The National Meeting would then be the perfect platform to make it public and put them into action. That scenario is exactly what the Iraqi reports have been suggesting, which is of course a great sign. The CBI has already told us that they will make their move with the National Economic Project (whatever that may be), once the GOI ends the crisis by forming a power-sharing government where the necessary Interior and Defense Ministries have been appointed. I think there is an excellent chance that things have finally turned in our favor and we may see evidence of this shortly. These are just my opinions, which may or may not be correct.

  6. I'm sorry, I thought this thread was about Talabani's return and the possibility of him getting the show on the road..I must have been wrong? Obviously, Artichoke dip must be his favourite meal and we're all going to be there to feed it to him, and so will need the recipe...WTH??? Can we talk about the article please (or something related to that)...if you want to talk about artichoke dip, start or join a recipe thread. All of these arguments, personal agenda's at hurting people are less than disappointing.

  9. Ron Paul on Romney: ‘I don’t fully endorse him for president’ TAMPA -- Mitt Romney's presidential campaign gave Texas Rep. Ron Paul a chance to speak at the Republican National Convention, but he declined due to the conditions of the offer, the New York Times reports: Mr. Paul, in an interview, said convention planners had offered him an opportunity to speak under two conditions: that he deliver remarks vetted by the Romney campaign, and that he give a full-fledged endorsement of Mr. Romney. He declined. "It wouldn't be my speech," Mr. Paul said. "That would undo everything I've done in the last 30 years. I don't fully endorse him for president." Republicans plan to show a tribute video honoring the the retiring libertarian politician Tuesday at the convention. Paul is also holding his own rally nearby on Sunday afternoon. So much for Romney getting Paul's endorsement. It's not going to happen considering Paul is a man of principles. This is going to hurt Romney big time during the elections. I can to an extent understand checking the speech before hand so long as the speaker isn't saying something to purposely damage the campaign. The full endorsement requirement is ridiculous.

  10. Big news at the box office: The film pegged as the anti-Obama documentary has outsold all other movies opening this weekend, according to early reports. "2016: Obama's America" raked in $2.2 million on Friday, outperforming other openers "Premium Rush" and the indie comedy "Hit and Run." The earnings also make it the top-grossing documentary of the year. The surprising numbers put the film in fourth place overall on an otherwise sleepy box office weekend. It follows the cast-ensemble pleaser "Expendables 2" at No. 1 at $3.7 million, and the Jeremy Renner-anchored "Bourne Legacy," which secured the No. 2 spot at $2.7 million. Animated flick "ParaNorman" snagged third place at $2.3 million on Friday. "2016: Obama's America" is based on Indian-American conservative author Dinesh D'Souza's book, "The Roots of Obama's Rage." (D'Souza also co-directed with John Sullivan, and narrates the majority of the film). A poster for the movie shows a profile of President Obama cast against a hazy gray fog with the tag line, "Love Him, Hate Him, You Don't Know Him." Box office buzz around the movie may be tied to the upcoming Republican National Convention, which begins Monday in Tampa, Fla. The documentary expected to bow down with a total earning of $6 million for the weekend.

  14. Crist was a turn coat. He was elected as a republican but after the election it became obvious he was anything but republican. He was a far left liberal who just ran on the republican ticket to get elected. He was a terrible governor for our state almost run out of office by the voters who elected him and certainly not someone with much influence in Florida to swing votes to Obama. It sounds impressive on the surface that an ex-governor who was republican is siding with Obama. However for those who really know Crist and his history, its a joke and just more political double talk to swing the uninformed. His rhetoric in this piece is straight out of the journals of political ad writing that is far from the truth. Obama is destroying the middle class but by using diversion to hide it by focusing on his class warfare ploy against the rich to make it look like he is for the little guy. His over-regulation, endless spending with no plan for fiscal responsibility, trillions in money printing that will debase our currency and create run away inflation, his endless welfare entitlement state, ect... are bankrupting our country and will be the destruction of the middle class. 25. He (Ron Paul) has accurately predicted where this country would be for 15 to 20 years. But you don't think he's right about foreign policy. Our foreign policy hasn't changed in years and it's gotten us where we're at today, which I don't believe is in a good place. I believe it's time for a change in our foreign policy and I believe Mr Ron Paul may be on to something once again. Ron Paul has predicted that our foreign policy would cost us our liberty and it has. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying our foreign policy caused 911, but I am saying that we have been involved with being the World Police and that needs to stop. One of our founding fathers told us not to give up our freedom for security and now we have the patriot act and NDAA. As an American citizen I recently traveled and I'm a little disgruntled about being searched at the airports. Ron Paul has been correct about alot of things over the years but he's mistaken about foreign policy. We have military bases all over the world, what is your opinion if and when foreign troops build military bases here at home? I know I don't want it. I've asked my father his thoughts, he's 82, served in the army in Korea and said it would be a shame if that ever happened here. I asked him his thoughts on us having bases in other countries and he isn't for that either. These are sovereign nations as we are. Let's put the shoe on the other foot. jmho.

  29. Jeb Bush to Obama: Stop blaming my brother Comments By David Jackson, USA TODAY Updated 43m ago CAPTIONBy Chip Somodevilla, Getty Images TAMPA -- Jeb Bush says it's time for President Obama to stop blaming his brother for the nation's problems. "I mean, look, the guy (Obama) was dealt a difficult hand, no question about it," Bush said on NBC's Meet The Press. "But he's had three years. His policies have failed." Obama rarely mentions Bush by name on the campaign trail. But the president does say that Republican Mitt Romney is seeking to revive the economic policies that led to the financial meltdown of 2008, George W. Bush's last year in office. On NBC, Jeb Bush said perhaps Obama should "offer some fresh new solutions to the problems that we face," but he added: "That's not going to happen between now and Election Day." As our colleague Catalina Camia reported in OnPolitics, Jeb Bush also said he's not motivated to try and follow his brother and his father (George H.W. Bush) into the White House. Jeb Bush declined to answer a question about his family's legacy. "The L word is not used much in our family, so we don't have a lot of people trying to organize it or plan it," Jeb said. Also referring to grandfather Prescott Bush, a senator from Connecticut, Jeb Bush said: I think in the case of my grandfather and my dad and my brother, I think they all served with honor and distinction. They love this country and they always put their country first. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2012/08/jeb-bush-to-obama-stop-blaming-my-brother/1#.UDpokNaPXXo

  31. TOO FUNNY If you didn't see this on the Tonight show, I hope you're sitting down when you read it. This is probably the funniest date story ever, first date or not!!! We have all had bad dates but this takes the cake. Jay Leno went into the audience to find the most embarrassing first date that a woman ever had. The winner described her worst first date experience. There was absolutely no question as to why her tale took the prize! She said it was midwinter...Snowing and quite cold... and the guy had taken her skiing in the mountains outside Salt Lake City , Utah . It was a day trip (no overnight). They were strangers, after all, and had never met before. The outing was fun but relatively uneventful until they were headed home late that afternoon. They were driving back down the mountain, when she gradually began to realize that she should not have had that extra latte. ! ! They were about an hour away from anywhere with a rest room and in the middle of nowhere! Her companion suggested she try to hold it, which she did for a while. Unfortunately, because of the heavy snow and slow going, there came a point here she told him that he had better stop and let her go beside the road, or it would be the front seat of his car. They stopped and she quickly crawled out beside the car, yanked her pants down and started. In the deep snow she didn't have good footing, so she let her butt rest against the rear fender to steady herself. Her companion stood on the side of the car watching for traffic and indeed was a real gentleman and refrained from peeking. All she could think about was the relief she felt despite the rather embarrassing nature of the situation. Upon finishing however, she soon became aware of another sensation. As she bent to pull up her pants, the young lady discovered her buttocks were firmly glued against the car's fender. Thoughts of tongues frozen to poles immediately came to mind as she attempted to disengage her flesh from the icy metal. It was quickly apparent that she had a brand new problem, due to the extreme cold. Horrified by her plight and yet aware of the humor of the moment, she answered her date's concerns about' what is taking so long' with a reply that indeed, she was 'freezing her butt off' and in need of some assistance! He came around the car as she tried to cover herself with her sweater and then, as she looked imploringly into his eyes, he burst out laughing. She too, got the giggles and when they finally managed to compose themselves, they assessed her dilemma. Obviously, as hysterical as the situation was, they also were faced with a real problem. Both agreed it would take something hot to free her chilly cheeks from the grip of the icy metal! Thinking about what had gotten her into the predicament in the first place, both quickly realized that there was only one way to get her free. So, as she looked the other way, her first time date proceeded to unzip his pants and pee her butt off the fender. As the audience screamed in laughter, she took the Tonight Show prize hands down. Or perhaps that should be 'pants down'. And you thought your first date was embarrassing. Jay Leno's comment... 'This gives a whole new meaning to being pissed off.' Oh and how did the first date turn out? He became her husband and was sitting next to her on the Leno show. If you laughed at this pass it on · Remember, If you haven't got a smile on your face and laughter in your heart, Then you are just a sour old fart!

  32. Kinda makes you go hmmmmm.... Maybe the moral and virtue behind certain political stances aren't important to people anymore. And perhaps we have become more intellectual than to question whether Mr. Obama is a Muslim, or whether he meant the 57 Islamic States when we said he had visited 57 states. Some may even be ready to agree with many liberals who put forth the idea that religion is a private matter and not for public consumption. But if that is the case, then why has the Democratic National Convention approved a jum'ah and other Islamic oriented activities for the days leading up to the convention? According to organizers Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj, before Charlotte braces for the tens of thousands expected for the DNC, they should brace for 20,000 Muslims Friday, August 31 - Saturday, September 1. (Note that the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), who is overseeing this event they claim is non-political, has once before claimed 20,000 planning to attend an event at the US Capitol, and only 2,000 showed.) Video: Jumah At The DNC The events are scheduled to kiick off with a jum'ah prayer on Friday afternoon, to be held in a public space for all to witness. And what will be said in this prayer? Specifically, the Friday Prayer includes recitations of Surah 62 and Surah 63. Turn there in your nightstand Quran, and you will find quotes such as: "The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries heavy books (but understands them not)." - Basically, the Jews are called donkeys. "O ye that stand on Judaism! If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!" - If you Jews believe you are friends of God and we are not, we will kill you. "The Death from which ye flee will truly overtake you: then will ye be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open: and He will tell you (the truth of) the things that ye did!" Surah 63 refers to the Hypocrites ... these are Christians, specifically those who renounce Islam. In the Bible, Jesus tells us to forgive all men their sins against us, but Surah 63 says of Christians: "It is equal to them whether thou pray for their forgiveness or not. Allah will not forgive them. Truly Allah guides not rebellious transgressors." Muslims are also told, "They are the enemy, guard against them." After the prayers, there will be various Islamic oriented activities leading up to a banquet Friday night. Saturday will be a Muslim family fun-fest day, interspersed with lectures about Islamic concerns. Here are a few facts about the organizers and speakers at this event. Jibril Hough is the leader of a Sunni mosque, The Islamic Center of Charlotte. His mosque is owned by The North American Islamic Trust, which is blacklisted by the U.S. Justice Department as an "unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror finance case in U.S. history," and accused of being a front for HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood in America. When interviewed on Keith Larson's radio show on Charlotte station WBT, Hough denied knowing his mosque was owned by this organization... then went on to defend HAMAS. Imam Siraj Wahhaj is imam of a mosque in Brooklyn, New York. He is suspected of beeing an "unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing." He served as a character witness for the man responsible, Omar Abdel Rahman. How does he feel about America? He is quoted as saying it is, “a garbage can… filthy, filthy and sick.” Hassen Abdellah was a lead defense attorney for the 1993 World Trade bombing suspects. Captain Yee is a former military Muslim Chaplain, who was charged with sedition, aiding the enemy, spying, espionage and failure to obey a general order. These charges were dropped over a dispute about releasing the evidence in the case, which would have been a National Security risk. The question is not whether or not Muslims should be allowed to gather in conferences, or to have public prayers. The question is why the DNC would throw in their hand with this, especially considering the extremists who are involved. Furthermore, if the Democratic party truly believes that religion is a private affair, as so many of their leaders have suggested (Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Kerry, Barak Obama), why do they wish to make such a public display of Islam part of their National Convention? Another question that arises is, where is the anger? Where are the atheists, who must be as much against belief in Allah as they are against belief in the God of Christians? Where is the Freedom From Religion Foundation? Why have they not filed suit against this "obvious violation of the establishment clause"? Perhaps someone forgot to tell them that Islam is a religion as well. link http://www.examiner.com/article/dnc-joins-hands-with-islam-makes-muslims-part-of-their-focus

Thursday at roughly 5:00 PM Eastern, the IQD showed up on FOREX at the Frankfurt Exchange, and shortly thereafter on the Paris Exchange. For reasons explained otherwise, it did not appear on Citibank’s FOREX site in the U.S., and that may be because the USD was not referenced in this announcement. The actual exchange looked like this: EUR/IQD (EUR-IQD.F)-Frankfurt 0.16 1,555.5270 (99.9900%) Jul 12 Add to Portfolio. Prev Close: 1,474.7684 Open: N/A Bid: N/A Ask: N/A Day’s Range: N/A – N/A 52wk Range: 1,436.6387 – 1,678.8651 ..Compare Brokers EUR-IQD.F EUR/IQD 0.16 Currencies FRA EURIQD=X EUR/IQD 1,418.05 Currencies CCY As you can see, the IQD was referenced to the Euro. The Euro was equal (in this posting) to .16 IQD. That would make the IQD worth Eu6.25. Take the current value of the Euro against the US Dollar and we have a valuation of the IQD against the USD equal to $7.62.

  34. What a shame we don't have more real Americans in these alphabet agencies. I will never understand how any REAL American could go along with destroying America and her great Constitution. Whistle blowers, like Mr. German, are the great, real Americans. We need more like him. Ten I.C.E. agents have stepped up and are suing Janet Napolitano. I hope this encourages more real Americans in government to step up and help save America. 35. I agree with for the most part. Obama is horrible and, yes, Romney would be better than him for some economic reasons like taxes and perhaps jobs. But I fear the fact taht Romney and Paul have supported and voted for the other things that Obama and Bush pushed that have taken liberties away from us. In that regard, I can't let myself take part in letting the RP movement die and let the establishment gain the ground the lost. I'm thinking about the long term. Maybe Im wrong, but that is why I will still vote for RP, even though it runs the risk of another 4 years of Obama. I want real change and that requires sacrifice on my part. But God puts into power those He chooses, so let's take comfort in that whatever happens.

  36. My wife, Julie, had been after me for several weeks to paint the seat on our toilet. Finally, I got around to doing it while Julie was out. After finishing, I left to take care of another matter before she returned. She came in and undressed to take a shower. Before getting in the shower, she sat on the toilet. As she tried to stand up, she realized that the not-quite-dry epoxy paint had glued her to the toilet seat. About that time, I got home and realized her predicament. We both pushed and pulled without any success whatsoever. Finally, in desperation, I undid the toilet seat bolts. Julie wrapped a sheet around herself and I drove her to the hospital emergency room. The ER Doctor got her into a position where he could study how to free her (Try to get a mental picture of this.). Julie tried to lighten the embarrassment of it all by saying, "Well, Doctor, I'll bet you've never seen anything like this before." The Doctor replied, "Actually, I've seen lots of them...... I just never saw one mounted and framed." <br clear="all">

  41. I just love the way the liberals have a classic rebuttal of: birther. There are a few questions that need to be answered. If Obama was in school or had his name legally changed to Soetoro where are the court or other legal papers which shows he had his name legally changed back to Obama? If he changed his name and there is not legal papers where his name was legal returned to Obama then he is not legal since he was elected and gave the oath under Obama. If Obama did not get a foreign student scholarship, where are the records of his US scholarships? Being that he was supposed to have been such a poor student he must have had scholarships. Where are the records? What kind of scholarships? If he was an American then he was able to get Federal Scholarships. If he was not an American then he was not able to get Federal Education scholarships. What kind of scholarships did he go to school on? If he did not use scholarships then he was not as poor as made out to be and had money, lots of money, from some source. The question also needs to be asked, what source of money. Don't just throw off the people asking the questions. Give some answers.

  44. Carlos you’re the mind controlled zombie when it comes to thinking for yourself. Appears none of us want what you are trying to program us with. We can see clearly what it has done for you.

  45. Ron Paul is not advocating being isolationist, he's for keeping the US out of Zionist instigated wars. Here is a prophesy for America, and it's people. If you keep following the same course you are on, you will have fire raining down upon you, and millions upon millions will die. Take that any way you want, but the advice for you people, are to keep your noses out of every nations business, and internal affairs or perish. Ron Paul is a warning to people, and they can change the course that Yahweh is allowing them, or go ahead with the present establishment evil, and pay the ultimate price.

  46. I don't think that RP is perfect, but COME ON! Look at the cardboard cut-out empty suits on the rest of the Repub ticket!! They will be, or already are co-opted by the system, and will continue to tow the FED and big businesses line. If you want the dollar to keep losing value, and your great-grandkids paying off the federal deficit, then by all means, take your pick of the rest of the yes-men, and down we shall sink even further. I don't agree with all of his policies on foreign affairs, but we need to put our house in order ASAP, before fixing other nations. At the very least RP tells the truth, and is consistent!! Neither can be said of the rest of these idiots...they couldn't find their butts with a search party....
