Speaking today in London at an event organised by the Iraqi British Business Council (IBBC), Chairman Uzri said that his country was "rife with investment opportunities" and that Iraq is "entering a new era of economic and political stability." At a summit held in the Lord Mayor of London's Mansion House residence, he explained to over 120 British commercial delegates that the Iraqi market should be viewed as particularly appealing to investors at a time when profitable overseas opportunities are becoming harder to find and develop. "Iraq's combination of strong economic growth and increasing stability and security make it an excellent and viable proposition for investment", he added. Chairman Uzri is confident of Iraq's prospects and pointed out that the country has emerged from war and that the British troops had withdrawn without needing to be replaced. He said: "But I have to be pragmatic and say that, while the journey is not yet over, civilian causalities due to violence have dropped to their lowest level since 2003, so we are well within sight of where we want to be. Early movers and investors will clearly have a great advantage." Baroness Nicholson, Chairman of the IBBC said, "With support at the highest levels of both the Iraqi and British Governments, as well as from key financial institutions in the City of London and worldwide, IBBC and TBI will be able to contribute to the growing strength of Iraq's financial and professional services sectors, thereby building a stable future for Iraq and its people." There are many economic success stories in Iraq to date: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has maintained an effective and conservative monetary policy. The dinar has remained remarkably stable and is likely to continue to do so, as attested recently by the IMF, which stated that the Iraqi dinar was close to fair value at the beginning of 2011. The core inflation rate, as per released data by the CBI, rose to 5.5% in February 2011, which fares well against the MENA average. Increased oil prices coupled with boosted oil production has lead to higher revenues. The Ministry of Oil announced that monthly oil revenues increased by 43 per cent year on year on the back of higher oil prices and production increases from the 11 International Oil Company (IOC) deals signed in 2009; three of these major oil fields are already surpassing their oil production targets for 2011. Wheat production almost doubled in 2009, and check points throughout the country have been eased. Have I encouraged anyone to go buy dinar...don't think so...and I don't remember posting anything about any clues given...what I posted was a fact...my bank is no longer selling it and it has not rv according to them...why can't people keep their rude comments to themselves?!

Most everyone seems to be saying, what's up with everyone selling Dinars ? I had thought about it for a while and then it hit me. Back when the economy was rolling good back in 2004,5,6,& 7 money was flowing freely out there. Most of the people wanting to sell now, purchased their Dinar about four to five years back. I have even read where some have over invested, and this could be do to the banks wanting to freely loan out money for any desire. I learned this first hand when I was living in Las Vegas and Bank of America was trying to shove more money down my throat for more than what I needed for a home line of credit. I was asking for roughly $90,000 and BOA was trying their damdest to push another $25,000 to me. It was easy for evryone to get caught up in all this back then. Hearing about a can't loose investment such as the Dinar and going to the bank for an easy LOC on the house and a few thousand let for several million Dinar was like taking candy from a baby. Why, even my dog got a credit card in the mail, and I will swear on the Bible about that. Anyway, now alot of folk are out of work or on reduced hours or the kids are soon going to go to college. I don't call all of his greed, but like unfortunate luck for some of our DV freinds. This so called rough patch that they say we are in is more than a Recession but more like a Depression. If this was like any other recession the unenployment rate would have started downward long before now. What we are in now is much simmilar to the 30's except with a more modern twist to it. I know it dosen't do justice to say to some of you guys to hang in there. I lay blame on the bankers and the Federal regulaters for the mess they put the country in. I lost my house in Vegas, but came out of the mess very quickly. So if you are wondering why so many of our DV members are selling then the above is my take on things. Let me know if you think I am wrong. I will get better, but not till December 2011 or January of 2012

I am sorry that I have been labeled a freeloader by Adam in his last chat. I have always tried to have a positive view on everything here at DV. If you want to convert the site to a paying site then simply announce it as so. I would like to say that my reasons for not supporting your site with a membership are religious in nature. There are certain things that are advertised on your site that I can not support as a Christian. I do not condem or judge you for that at all. You are a great business man and I still believe you have put together a great site. I thank you for allowing me to come in and share my thoughts on the Dinar investment. I do not know how to delete myself from the site and I apologise for my not joining as a paying member. I have been reading a lot of the different points of view on this subject. The way I see it is I spent money on the Iraqi Dinar that I had spare and went into this as a gamble. I intend to stay till the end even if it means I do lose all of my investment. If I do lose it all, it means that I only loose what I could afford. All the main people on this site have always stated that you should only invest what you could afford to lose. Now in a lot of these posts it seems to read that people have over invested in the Dinar and have to sell, because they expected to gain vast amounts of money from this investment, and did not want to stay for the LAST HAND to be dealt. It’s like a game of cards, you don’t know the real outcome until the last card is dealt and found out who has been bluffing. Well the last card has not been dealt so hang on in there. Hello everyone, It took me a few day's to decide if I wanted to share this information with all of you. I've seen first hand what happens to someone (insults and name calling) who posts something negative about the RV. If you want to neg me go right ahead...I don't let negs bother me. I have more important thing to worry about. I have a cousin who works for the Justice Department. I'm not going to give away his title or what he does for them. But i will say this, he's someone who's been around Washington for a long time. Actually, when it was safe enough to go in he was one of the first US civilians from the J.D. to go into Iraq. I have only asked him twice about what he knows about the RV. Last week was the second time. I am going to type out exactly what he wrote me. Now let me make this PERFECTLY clear...does this mean RV won't happen...no not one bit. I'm just sharing with the DV family what he text me. "My name...I have not gotten any info that sheds any light on your question; (my question to him was has he heard anything about the Dinar rv'ing) I'm still asking around but at least so far it seems to be getting less play in Iraq then your hearing; anyway didn't want you to think I wasn't checking but will get back to you if I get anything worthwhile." Again everyone this doesn't mean the RV isn't going to happen. But for ME personally this isn't good news. I haven't ever seen Okie bring any articles over to discuss and break them down. Kaperoni says he predicts a window of a certain period "if" they get all this stuff done. Since he is not responsible for passing iraqi law, he is stating his opinion on when an RV could happen if they get all the laws done in time.

And why would shopping in Walmart disqualify a person? Most people I know who have substantial balance sheets are very frugal with their money and shop at Walmart and other discount stores. I suppose if I wanted I could fly to New York and shop at Neiman Mark-ups place but who am I trying to impress? If this dinar should revalue at even one to one I could probably fly to France for brunch but I can make it just fine in a Mickie D's drive thru for $5.47. It has been stated that money does not define who you really are...it simply allows you to be more of what you really are. So I hope that this will revalue and GO LARGE...but my biggest prayer would be that with enough money to do and be about anything I want I still want to be a conservative, Christian with 41 yrs. of wedded bliss behind me and 2 beautiful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren. I pray that it doesn't become more heartache than blessing! Maybe Walmart doesn't disqualify us after all...but putting on a show to impress the Joneses is a sure start to ruining your life!

I think most of us are not worried whether an RV happens tonight - this week, month. We are hoping for this year, but more than that, we are hoping that it will actually happen. I think if we could get a definite yes and the rate would be near a one to one, we can tough it out. It is the uncertainty of it happening at all that adds to our angst. Have you looked at what is going on in Europe. I believe it was Spain that had a 54% unemployment rate for people ynder 26. Adding to our debt will not solve anything - just a band aid. It does appear that Iraq is the game changer. Can they hold it together before they start killing each other. Violence is a way of life, but prosperity will give these folks something different to think about.
