i had this translated in arabic to english,by my dubai buddy. what they are saying is its time to revalue there currency to get on par with goods and services, and the only way this would be a sucess is for the rate to be around $1.00. it also seems that they have a sense of urgency on doing this as well. i know i dont come on this site anymore, but it was painful watching people getting the meaning of this article wrong......

So many people have used the abundance of money involved makes it impossible for it to happen. Let me give you some things to ponder: There were originally 30 trillion dinar printed. Well over 80% of that amount has been accounted for and is in the hands of Iraq. That leaves 6 trillion dinar out of which US, China, Russia, Brazil and other countries hold a substantial amount of these in their countries. So let us say that there is 1 -1.5 trillion is out in the hands of regular people, trusts, etc. How could Iraq possibly cash in this much at one time? They can't! Or Can They? China and the US have signed agreements that they each will take all of their dinar and all that they cash in from their citizens in OIL @ an agreed upon rate of $ 32.00 per barrel for however long it takes. Now taking the total of 6 trillion that is supposedly out there which would be multiplied by the rate that we will set at $ 4 just to go from a number of some kind. So now we have $ 24,000,000,000,000! Seems like an amount that just will not be possible? Read on. 24 trillion dollars will transform to 750 BILLION barrels of oil @ $32.00. That is what it will cost Iraq to payoff. That is still a lot of money, right? Well, considering that one barrel of oil cost Iraq less than $ 2.00 per barrel to process which means that Iraq can pay off ALL of the Dinar still out for $ 1,500,000,000 while coming out of sanctions, becoming a powerful country and a part of the UN and WTO and go forward. Being that this RV would basically make it so the US will be able to pay off most or all of their national deb along with the other countries involved would be doing the same making the World Economy would get a tremendous shot in the arm and everyone would be on a better playing field meaning World trade would be enhanced and the US and China emerge as the strongest and Iraq comes out as either the richest or the 2nd richest country in the world. So, my friends, the RV can happen and actually if you take Iraq's assets, it could actually justify RVing at upwards of $ 8 -$ 12 and this calculation would work and still leave Iraq with a smidgen of debt compared to the assets they have. So rest assured that there will BE NO LOP because it is not necessary and it would deflate this entire plan and not help anyone and Iraq would not emerge as a stable government or friend to anyone. So, poke holes in this if you wish. I would be interested to see what anyone can come up with that will change these numbers. I am not a genius, just an investor that has to reason out everything I invest in to see where the return can come from and how much it can actually reasonably be... I didn't come up with this plan, but whoever did was a genius. This is historic. People have said to me, "How can you invest so little and gain so much?" Well, not in our lifetime has any country been completely destroyed, government and all with the agenda to build it back up. This plan was IMO in place before the first boot hit the ground in Iraq. In the line at the store, the cashier told the older woman that she should bring her own grocery bag because plastic bags weren’t good for the environment. The woman apologized to him and explained, “We didn’t have the green thing back in my day.” The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. The former generation did not care enough to save our environment." He was right, that generation didn’t have the green thing in its day. Back then, they returned their milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled. But they didn’t have the green thing back in that customer's day. In her day, they walked up stairs, because they didn’t have an escalator in every store and office building. They walked to the grocery store and didn’t climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time they had to go two blocks. But she was right. They didn’t have the green thing in her day. Back then, they washed the baby’s diapers because they didn’t have the throw-away kind. They dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts – wind and solar power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing. But that old lady is right, they didn’t have the green thing back in her day. Back then, they had one TV, or radio, in the house – not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief, not a screen the size of the state of Montana . In the kitchen, they blended and stirred by hand because they didn’t have electric machines to do everything for you. When they packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, they used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it, not polystyrene or plastic bubble wrap. Back then, they didn’t fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. They used a push mower that ran on human power. They exercised by working so they didn’t need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity. But she’s right, they didn’t have the green thing back then. They drank from a fountain when they were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time they had a drink of water. They refilled their writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and they replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull. But they didn’t have the green thing back then. Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or rode the school bus instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service. They had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And they didn’t need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint. But isn't it sad that the current generation laments how wasteful the old folks were just because they didn't have the green thing back then?

This is not an easy topic to start. I have been through something that I would like to try to keep anyone else from going through. So here goes ... We always think ... It will never happen to me! ... but eventually it does. On January 18, 2010, my husband, the soul mate and friend I shared my entire life with for thirty-four years, was flying his little Cessna on a very short hop home when he was climbing out of his take off and came over the crest of one of the mountains (low mountains) and was hit by a bank of fog swirling up and over him. For some reason the plane would not climb. He crashed on the side of the mountain, into trees and rocks and snow and ice, and was hidden by the fog, and smoke of the burning plane. He managed to crawl out. He used his cel to call emergency services. He called me. I won't go into details except to say that though I was told by the police on three occasions that evening that they were very close to him, in actuality the locator that signalled the crash gave a location that was wrong, or wrongly interpretted, and the searchers were nine mile out. He died on that mountainside. That was, until that point in my life, the worst experience I had been through, and subjectively speaking most likely is still the worst, though sometimes it seems not. Why would I say that? Well, Neil and I had an agreement. He would let me die first, so I would not have to suffer the loss. We had that agreement for many years. But, of course no one can really make that kind of decision. And he went first. After my father died, my mother went through enormous problems with paperwork she didn't understand and she wouldn't ask for help. My uncle found her borrowing money from the neighbours for gas and groceries six months later! Nothing had been settled or paid to her. In the light of that I bugged Neil to make sure he made a will. I had one, and he should have one too. He argued a bit but finally, I believe now just to shut me up, he agreed. Later, he told his mother in a phone conversation that his will was in a bookshelf, easily located. He told me it was on the computer and information about the original was in that file. I spent four days solid searching through his computer. Several of us went through every book case looking for the will he was supposed to have made. In the end, there was no will. And this is the point I have to make. PLEASE, if you love your spouse, make a will, and let your spouse know where it is. The lack of a will has made life so much harder than it need have been at this time. When I should have been making progress in healing and getting past the active grief, I have been buried in the business of probate court, and insurance claims (thieves took the stuff we had packed up from his house ... we had two homes, one for each of us, great way to get along, another story entirely ... and cleaned the house out ... over fifty grand in one theft) legal ownership of vehicles, payment of debts, sale of house, finding homes for cats, more things than I can itemize. It is enough to say that lack of a will made everything worse at a time when it was as bad as I thought it could get. Were Neil to walk back into my life, and through my door, I would, after hugging him till he broke in two, kick him squarely in the butt for not making the will as he said he would. I know, he thought I would not need it. I am the feeble and partly disabled one of the pair of us. He was healthy and vigorous and full of life and about to take on new challenges. I was supposed to die first. He was supposed to outlive me by decades. His father is ninety-seven and still doing okay. This was not supposed to happen. But life rarely does what it is supposed to do. Please, please, I beg of you ... consider it a small cost compared to what agony you will save your loved ones. Have a will made. Let your spouse and family know where it is. That is it. That is what I felt I had to share. I care for the people here and would not want any one of you to go through what I have been dealing with. Like life, it is not fair. All we can do is try to mitigate the b/s before it happens, and in this case it is easily done with a notary, and a few dollars, resulting in a legal will. Just off the phone with my DC buddy. Things are set for the meeting with Shabibi. He will be in the meeting tomorrow but I don't expect to get much out of him about it but he will usually give me a general idea of what is happening. He said again Iraq is the hold up. They need to fully seat the GOI and until then it's a no go. He did hear that they will vote tomorrow in private to finalize security positions. Lets hope. That would be one in a row for those guys. I also talked to my buddy in Iraq. He said that nothing has been released and there was no in country RV like some of the sites are stating. His employer said he will be notified 2 hours prior the actual event and that he would call me as soon as that happens. They are still expecting it this week unless no security ministers. Aqua dude... I will try and address your questions. We all do not know with any certainty if it will lop or not. It is an option as there are many options of potential outcomes. Don't be foolish to assume that "everyone knows it won't lop". So, would the following countries be considered Democratic countries that have Lopped? Belarus, Bulgaria, Poland, Turkey, Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Israel, and Romania? I left off Germany because they lopped in 1923 and I wouldn't consider them Democratic. You would need a degree in astrophysics in some of those countries just to purchase something. Now a lop doesn't just work automatically. You have to have certain prerequisites in place first. 1. The inflationary trend must prove to be low and stable. It does not mean they are in hyper-inflation to lop, but after a balance has been created and with proven stability for some time. Re-denominating during hyperinflation is useless and expensive. It would simply be a cosmetic fix because the problem will persist. 2. The government and the economy must be stable and the GDP growing and prosperous. You must have stability in the market which Iraq somewhat has. The future certainly looks bright and security has been improved. Banking, education, infrastructure, ISX, employment, opportunity are all doing better. Clearly much is still needed and many important laws are still in need of passing. In particular HCL and modifying the Investment Law to provide Iraqis with similar incentives to what they are providing to outside investors. Corruption is a gigantic problem and will be addressed in the Investment Law amendment as well as through other bills. GOI Minister appointments must conclude and infrastructure, privatization of industry, technology in banking must continue, Kuwait needs to be addressed more than the 5% in the DFI, and oil metering must be completed. The CBI is legally required to maintain a relatively large reserve. You can extrapolate this to 33.33% from the 2010 IMF Iraq Country Report. If you increase the size of the reserve, you increase liquidity. If you reduce the size of the reserve, you reduce liquidity. If you increase the amount of currency, you reduce liquidity, and if you decrease the amount of currency, you increase liquidity. Bottom line; if you "reduce the amount of IQD in circulation by 70%" that would INCREASE LIQUIDITY. ____________ I do not believe that the article was discussing liquidity at the central bank level, since the money supply and the Official International Reserves had been quite stable for a long time at that point. There were two other related articles in the news (the real news, not the forums or dealer websites) before and around that time. The first was the problem the CBI (which is charged with keeping Iraq's economy growing) had with the banks of Iraq. Going into 2010, banks were required to have a 25% minimum reserve account with the CBI. The banks' reserve accounts are their "liquidity". On a worldwide scale, that is a very high (and healthy) reserve for a bank. The problem the CBI had was that the banks were keeping reserve accounts above the minimum, collecting low but safe interest from the CBI, instead of issuing loans into the Iraqi economy. The CBI was successful in getting the banks to issue more loans, which lowered the size of their reserves or, reduced their liquidity. The second related articles were that in 2010, the CBI reduced the banks' minimum reserve requirement from 25% to 15% or in other terms, reduced their liquidity. If anybody wants to call BS on what I wrote above, that will be fine. If anybody wants to know the size of Iraq's money supply, I would suggest the IMF Iraq Country Report. I believe Keepem' says the CBI has weekly or monthly reports posted on their website. If you find that the money supply is up around 30 trillion IQD, that alone would make the statement IslandGirl and I were discussing total BS. Hello everybody I have be visiting the DV's site ever sense I became a dinar investor a little over a year ago and have read and learned a lot from the people on this site. I did not invest heavily into this because I knew that this was a risk coming into it and if it paid off that I could spend the rest of my days living a comfortable life, not a rich wealthy life but comfortable life, but if for some reason it didn't pay off then i would not be in any trouble because of it. I too thought this was a bogus issue for a while until I decided to give it some due research. As a christian conservative I approach this topic from two standpoints: 1. I believe in the Constitution and want it adhered to. 2. I want this man out of office yesterday and all the legislation that he has signed voided. Finding the man unqualified meets both these goals. With that in mind I believe most folks are missing the real issue.....it doesn't matter WHERE he was born. The fact of the matter is that in order to satisfy the Constitution's Natural Born requirement he needs to have had two parent citizens and he doesn't. The 14th Ammendment doesn't trump the original requirement and has been improperly substituted in this case. Read Vattel's Law of Nations on which our founding documents were drafted from and guided by and then you will (hopefully) understand why this man doesn't love this country and wants to "transform" it. And don't give me any "it's because he is a black man" crap either. I'm not gonna take that from anybody. I would vote for Herman Caine in a heartbeat. Yes the Supreme Court has decidedly avoided this issue, yes the Congress has been all but silent and negligent, but the truth of the Constitutional requirement has not changed and there is nothing that you can say that will change it either.
