Ration cards today - Iraq Econ Committee refused the proposal to put the supervision under old counsel so they want to leave it with the trade ministers... that's the hold up of the cards going out- they need to move the bad guys out of the way and they need the rate too! Guest on the call - was in Iraq for 34 months - she keeps in contact with many that she met while stationed there... a contact called her 2 days ago that works for one of the ministries - they spoke of the dinar - and he eluded that his Iraq "money" would be worth a lot more soon for when they arrive in the US to live. She states their work ethic is different than ours- they walk to work, get searched work a bit then they pray 5 times a day, then they take breaks and this is why it takes them so long to accomplish anything. Now she is getting calls they are even hearing on TV that their currency is about to increase in value. The Iraqi friend that lives here in the states, his family is still over there in Iraq... and they have not been paid yet nor do they protest as they feel its going to get ugly unless change comes. In our opinion the GOI is formed and M is not keeping the missing ministers in his pocket - he is keeping control of their power... Monday Ali will be on the conference call... The Emir of Kuwait visited M in January and he arrived and went home in same day...then he spreads the wealth - 2 years worth of food for whole country - how can you do this in a 12 month budget? Them M goes to see Emir quick visit - the next day the Emir gave out more money to the country again... 40% of their budget to the people after both visits. The Emir is coming back to bring papers to Maliki Monday - for him to sign - those papers are??? We went after Saddam for what he did to Kuwait... Now Kuwait is in love with Iraq and sitting pretty and he is coming Monday to see M an he is bringing the final pieces of Chapter 7... Chapter 7 is full sovereignty to do what ever they want with their currency - the Emir will look like a hero... The US treasury is still there working and new laws began in January being made and yesterday they were introduced in the state of California...lots are happening and we are confused but lots is going on and nuggets are being shown like gold as to what they are doing.... The whole ME is unstable and its all due to oil so it went up and now its stabilized at $100 mark - #1 in oil - Saudia Arabia is #1 in oil - Iran is # 2 and Iraq is # 3 - watch says Frank - Iraq will become # 2 today, tomorrow real soon.... Oil went down to $102 a barrel today. Part 2 Watch who moves up to # 1 in oil soon - Iraqi is said to be the safest in the ME - how ironic says Frank. Telabani was at the UN in Dec and he told Kuwait and we will do anything and in January the EMIR came to Iraq - they NEVER do that ever - now Feb and March things you and I want are happening for us with their visits - the Emir will be a part as Kuwait is heavily invested in Iraq. They have many contracts that need to be fulfilled by the new rate... They can join the WB and WTO but what good will it do with used toilet paper as their currency- they wont have any voice or any right to vote or any prestige with no authority - NONE so they need their currency to be internationally recognized they need Chapter 7 and sovereign - I am asking GOD please consider to allow this to happen when you want it to so be it - I pray help the people of Iraq and I say for us too Iraq and Kuwait have worked out a 5 year plan to resolve their issues - so there is no need for chapter 7 - what else would they be bringing to sign? Kuwait wants Iraq to RV due to the contracts signed and due to the piece of the pie of oil they want.... Has Iraq satisfied Iraq enough - so Monday will tell the story... 99% of chapter 7 was signed off in December - the IMF and UNSC etc could finish it - but Frank feels that IHO - he feels they are making a side deal with the Emir and Maliki - I pray it is over the Chapter 7 - they will be free to raise their value when this is released... When the Music Stopped... (For those who are unaware: At all military base theaters, the National Anthem is played before the movie begins.) This is written from a Chaplain in Iraq : I recently attended a showing of 'Superman 3' here at LSA Anaconda. We have a large auditorium that we use for movies as well as memorial services and other large gatherings. As is the custom at all military bases, we stood to attention when The National Anthem began before the main feature. All was going well until three-quarters of the way through The National Anthem, the music stopped. Now, what would happen if this occurred with 1,000 18-to-22- year-olds back in the States? I imagine that there would be hoots, catcalls, laughter, a few rude comments, and everyone would sit down and yell for the movie to begin. Of course, that is, only if they had stood for The National Anthem in the first place. Here in Iraq 1,000 soldiers continued to stand at attention, eyes fixed forward. The music started again, and the soldiers continued to quietly stand at attention. Again, though, at the same point, the music stopped. What would you expect 1,000 soldiers standing at attention to do?? Frankly, I expected some laughter, and everyone would eventually sit down and wait for the movie to start. No!!. . . You could have heard a pin drop while every soldier continued to stand at attention. Suddenly, there was a lone voice from the front of the auditorium, then a dozen voices, and soon the room was filled with the voices of a thousand soldiers, finishing where the recording left off: "And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say, does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave, o'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave." It was the most inspiring moment I have had in Iraq , and I wanted you to know what kind of U.S. Soldiers are serving you! Remember them as they fight for us! Pass this along as a reminder to others to be ever in prayer for all our soldiers serving us here at home and abroad. Many have already paid the ultimate price. The Polite Way to Pee During one of her daily classes, a teacher trying to teach good manners, asked her students the following question: 'Michael, if you were on a date having dinner with a nice young lady, how would you tell her that you have to go to the bathroom?' I do believe that we will see this early next week. Maybe Tues. or Wed. The Kuwaiti premier is coming to town Monday. He is speculated to be coming to sign off on the final chapter 7 sanctions and then we really will be able to say that the rest of the world is not stopping them. At that point it will be all on them. I do feel like we will see this soon after Monday. I do not believe they can even try to RV until Kuwait releases them from the final sanctions, so here's hoping and praying. These are just my thoughts alone. No intel but that seems to be what they are hurrying up to pass laws this weekend for. I believe they are trying to be ready to do everything when those final papers are signed. You guys need to lighten up on puff26. If you know anything about Ray and Steve you know that they aren't lopsters. They obviously are talking about the new lower denoms that will be introduced as the higher denoms are removed. I'm not saying that I believe this source, but the message isn't the re denomination of the dinar but the RV of the dinar.

Hello Everyone, I have really missed reading DV for the last two weeks as I was in the Middle-East. Something strange is going on and I don't think Maliki or Shabibi is behind it. While I was there, I spoke with many, many Iraqi's about every topic including the Dinar. I watched countless of news reports from hundreds of Middle-Eastern channels that I didn't even know existed. Everything I heard and watched were quite different than what is being reported here in the States. There is something more to the Dinar not RVing and I wish I could put my finger on it. I remember several months ago economist were predicting oil to reach $120.00 a barrel and we are almost there. Hmmm! The Revolution in the Middle-East is being fueled by outside influences, not just in country. What I did observe is that the demonstrations in Iraq still had a civilized tone to them and were unlike Libya or Egypt, in spite of their horrible living conditions. Water from the sewers were up to the middle of their legs, streets were polluted with trash and the kids were playing in this mess. It was awful to say the very least. Borders from Iraq were being heavily monitored and they were not letting anyone come in or out unless you had legitimate clearance to do so. I even had to have my Iris scanned! Alot of things that I have read from these sites are just not the true picture in the M.E. For example, in Jordan, there were only approximately 25 people protesting after praying in the Mosque, yet when I watched CNN, it appeared to be thousands! Syria has been totally calm and could care less, going about life as usual. We will see if that changes. The Syrians are very happy with life there. Egypt has become a disaster. There are thousands and thousands of hard core prisoners that are roaming the streets and crime is on the rise. Trash and the stench will knock you off of your feet. I have never seen such unsanitary conditions as in Egypt. Streets have miles and miles of garbage piled up everywhere. There is no security and no real Government enforcing anything currently. Libya is a whole different story. In my opinion, this is where most of the U.S. and the West will be focusing on for the time being and I know the oil is playing a huge role in all of this. So, as far as the Dinar and Iraq, all I can say is I hope and pray something happens soon, because things just aren't adding up. Iraq is in a mess and there is absolutely no reason why this should not have RV'd by now. If Shabibi was the one in full control, I believe he would have done it by now. This is not just my opinion, but it is everyone's opinion that is an Iraqi. We all think that the Iraqi Government are just puppets for now. Shabibi could have finished this off a long time ago, so the real question is who and what is stopping him and why?

Come on people, these posts that speculate less that 1 to 1 rate is about as far fetched in my book as 6.00 is. Unless there is a 2 part RV thin who will gain. If the US is looking for tax dollars to fill in the holes then i fail to see where a measly 1.00 will help compared to what millions of Dinar cashed in will bring in taxes.......what will a 1.00 help in Iraq when all the other oil producing nations will be yelling and screaming because the US has been so instrumental in setting up this, so now we have all the oil producing nations yelling discrimination and favoratism. The world would laugh at the very thought of such a wimper. What would Kuwait say after they expressed their opinion to the UN and IMF to start out somewhere around what their's is. We got enough hatred in the world already why stir up some more. I just hope it RV's to a sensible rate for all involved.

Even if, Iraq is allowed 20% Fractional Reserve of the IQD, that means they can only support about $15 Billion USD worth of IQD, but have only $3 Billion USD worth of it to support that, (assuming they were able to digitize roughly 17 to 18 Trillion IQD), there are still 2 basic problems, they have. 1. IQD is not recognized internationally, so it would still have to be supported by USD, which is already being supported by the actual holdings of USD, which is also costing them a premium, for international transfers, because the IQD is not recognized. That alone represents a huge loss to the banks, in handling such transactions, as one would imagine, due to the premiums paid out to the larger international banks, for covering such activity. 2. The IQD held, does not hold any value of it's own, so the liquidity backed by IQD, is not valid outside of Iraq. If it were to become recognized, it would solve the first problem, but create a new problem, because there would be an immediate run on the banks, at the current rate of exchange, due to demands for international holdings. Why is this so? At the current rate of exchange, what little IQD is held by Iraq, would be consumed immediately, to demand for hard cash holdings, not to mention forex. Forex alone, runs about $4 Trillion per day. How long do you think, $3 Billion in IQD would last? I think maybe about the first hour of trade would cause a run and a bank holiday, at the current rate of exchange. So, what this article is suggesting, is that the CBI and Banks of Iraq, are certainly strong enough, to handle the transactions of foreign currency, but would not last even one hour, if the IQD became internationally recognized, at the current rate of exchange. Let's further this example, and suggest, that the entire amount of IQD in print, (based on news releases from CBI,) is 27 Trillion. Let us say, that Iraq could, (as if that were possible,) to buy back the entire cash supply at the current rate, (which is ridiculous, but let's just say for now, they could). The entire stock would cost them about $25 Billion of their existing reserves, which they could easily do and they would still have half of their foreign reserve left to easily support the entire 27 Trillion IQD. Here would be the problem: That is still only about $25 Billion worth of IQD, with only the Fractional Reserve ability, to place $125 Billion worth of IQD, into circulation, digitally. Again..... even with the entire supply, even if that were possible to recapture at the current rate, again, within the first hour of trading in the world market, there would be a run on the banks and Iraq would be left with no IQD left in their vaults, even because the people would grab it up, much less international trading. My guess is, nothing under a $1 to 1 IQD rate, could keep that from occurring, once the IQD is put on the open market. So..... this article is saying, they are strong enough to support the Dollar, but they could never support the IQD at the current rate of exchange. It has to be strong enough and with enough value, to stop a run on the banks, due to the demand. That is simple economics 101. Here is another way to look at this: If the CBI is strong enough to support the USD at $1 to $1 less a percentage, offset by the auctions, then it is also able to support a $1 to 1 IQD rate, unless the eternal demand is too great at $1.00, that there is still a run on the banks. My own calculations based on the MOP projections, would indicate, that for EOY 2010, the value would have to be set at a minimum of $1.36 in 2010, but closer to $1.75 for the years 2011 through 2012, which even then, many believe would still be to low, to fend off a run, because future speculation over the coming 5 years, shows that value to be about double that. Now, if that is so, and my own calculations are showing the 5 year plan value to be supportable at as high as $3.93, also based on MOP projections and calculations, along with the IMF Dejure Rate of $.00342 for EOY 2009, adding an additional $7 Billion to the Reserves from 2009 reports, should reflect a Real Rate of +/- $.00393 for EOY 2010. Drop the 3 zeros, means to shift the decimal 3 spots to the left = $3.93 REER. Now, here is why I am showing you this: If you have been listening to what people like Scooter or Rudy have been talking about, it would be a fair assumption, to say, world forex giants and multi international corporations, would jump on forex prices with the expectation of doubling or tripling their returns, but you would also have players driving down prices on those markets, if the rate is set too high, by playing the shorts on the market. That activity, known as 'Orbits' in circulation, is much of what sets the tempo and value, which is regulated by the amounts in circulation, proportionate to demand, but supported by the actual Reserves, of the Host Nation, supporting and backing that currency. If the price is too high, CBI and GOI have to sell of all their wealth to pay for their own paper, and they loose the value to inflation and have to destroy what they bought with their wealth. If it is too low, it is paid for buy the markets and does not cost them a dime, but they would have a run on the banks. So, what is a Bilderberger to do? The answer, is they have to come out at a value, that is just right, low enough to attract just the right amount of investors, that the market pays for the revaluation, yet high enough, to keep out, over-speculation, as to keep from having a bank run. My guess is, that would be about 1/3 to 1/2 of the projected 2010 amount of the REER, of $3.93. That is roughly $1.31 to $1.92, which is also consistent with the Qualitative vs Quantitative ratios of the percentage increases reflected in the Feasibility Study and the 5 Year Plan, of the Ministry of Planning. So...... this was a long explanation, in an effort to fill in the blanks, as to what the above article, is saying. They are saying they have the funds to continue using the Dollar and Foreign Currencies, as a banking policy for Iraq, but as we see, they are also saying, they need a Banking Law and Central Bank Law, of which both have been in Parliament already, and are among the 200 plus laws in Parliament, yet to be addressed and ratified. If you are confused about this, don't feel bad. I have been studying this for a full 7 years and am still struggling to grasp and comprehend the big picture. Much of what is going on with this, is still contained in 'Classified Documents' and is also a moving target, that changes daily. It is 'Live' and 'Fluid'. Be glad you are in this investment. I know of no better place to be positioned so far ahead of the curve. You are in the right place at the right time.

This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop? 35 States file lawsuit against the Federal Government Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention. This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on. This is an idea that we should address. For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. One of the frequent "thoughts" being posted in this thread seems to be the validity of deadlines, and what MUST be. And there are two ends to that tail. First what makes us think there is any requirement for the RV, made by anyone, Iraq or any of the alphabet soup organizations, that must be met before the RV can happen? Or the RV MUST happen before said organization will allow membership, or forgive debts, or in any way make nicey-nice with Iraq. I think for the most part it is all stuff that is posited by someone who knows just enough to be dangerous ... and is taking for granted certain things, deadlines and MUST do, for example, that just do not exist. they may be common sense but since when has common sense entered into any of this? But we believe them because we WANT to, we NEED to. It means that if there is some reason other than the whim of some Iraqi politician that is controling the date, or rate, then it must, it will, it absolutely cannot fail to happen. That would be a happy thing. Guaranteed Rv if only certain rules of deadlines are met. Now for the other side of this tail. If indeed the RV is not a valid assumption in regards to what others feel must happen, let us assume also therefor that Iraq, and Iraq alone, that being the self serving, inexperienced and badly counselled politicians of the GOI, are the only ones responsible for the RV. Why do we believe that anything they say they will do, any accomplishment they vow to achieve, any step they say is next, whether it be a law, or a ruling, or just someone's whim ... why do we believe it will be so? We have no proof, absolutley no proof, that any of these people will do what they say they will. Even Allawi, who I thought of as the best hope, the most honest of the bunch, if that word can apply to any of them, has become one of those who cries wolf at every turn. He is leaving to live in Britain, but then he is back and will take on a special job made just for him but then he doesn't get the cooperation he wants so he threatens to leave the GOI altogether but then decides to stay but not in the position they want him in but the threat is still there that he will up and leave. and so on and so on and ... you get the idea. So, why do we keep falling for the GOI following any of their scheduled progress or meeting any of their own deadlines? Because we WANT to. We NEED to. A lot of investments are occasions of making a decision to invest, putting money into the investment either in a lump sum or payroll deposit or whatever, and then walking away. Few investment actually give us, the investor, the opportunity to see, or think we see, what is happening at ground zero. How many other investments can be followed as closely as this one? Of course the information isn't always right but not because it starts out wrong. Along the way the Iraqi politicians back off or change their little timy minds (sorry, couldn't resist), or give in to some pressure internal or external, and even their own timelines go kaflooey and of course deadlines are not met. But this is the kind of investment we can watch, and get more involved in, even it if is only with words. And we do get involved, with words, and lots of them. Why? Because we WANT to, we NEED to. This is an investment that is so close, a very personal thing, much moreso than investing in a green fund or a handful of penny stocks or the kind of blue chips you buy, stick in the safe deposit box and forget about. This is a daily progress, or supposed to be anywaya, sort of investment. Most of us are not big time experienced investors. We are learning at one heck of a rate through this one though. Why? Because we WANT to, we NEED to. So keep up the discussions. Real discussions. Points to ponder, experiences to share, and hope to keep us all relatively sane. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT MALIKI IS NOT INTERESTED IN RV? (That is NOT his priority! ) WHY? Since nobody is saying it……. I will stick my neck out. M is only interested in staying in absolute control…….and if possible indefinitely! Consider this: 1) Over the last 6 years or so, he has stacked his cronies in the police the military and intelligence…. Journalists disappeared/killed; secret torture prisons to force confessions to collaborate as evidence to support his own political allegations,etc 2) Same with the media (especially TV station)…he controlled more than 90% of them. He recently shut down an independent station on some pretext! 3) Missing billions…probably a substantial part to create and maintain his personal power structure……. 4) Internal and international deadlines habitually ignored with impunity (whilst creating an impression each time that it’s being complied with….. (deliberately allowing dis-information for Intel to feed the experts and the gurus…..) 5) Whilst on one hand appearing to submit to the demands of the US, he has got in bed with Iran…… it’s lip-service at his best! 6) The US backed Barzani initiatives (since Oct 2010)to enable the formation of GOI by allowing Allawi to share political power is being dumped at the moment ….whilst at the same time giving the impression that he is trying to confirm the last 3 security ministerial appointments! He even recently objected to Chalabi from his own party! (Chalabi is not a “yes” man) 7) He even tried to take over CBI……through the Federal Court. 8) He put Shabibi in the bad light by apparently ( albeit quietly) instructing him to announce RV when the understanding with Shabibi is that the security of the country be assured with the expedient appointment of the suitably qualified candidate as minister FIRST….before RV can be announced publicly. (Not to be dubbed, Shabibi declined…) In short, M has 2 very powerful weapons at his disposal: 1) His complete control over the security forces (military, police and intelligence and to a lesser degree the judicial system) and the media (including TV) 2) His final decision on the RV……… being the PM. Therein lies his cunning/genius in: 1) deceiving everybody else with his empty promises with whatever excuses he can come with (remember, he controls the press……..etc) Hence, the procrastinations. 2) creating distraction when the heat is turned up on him by directing focus elsewhere. (Do you think the recent unrest at Barzani hometown is coincidental?) 3) setting the stage for his next move in this political show-and don’t tell. 4) changing his allegiance to suit his political plans (He may have not articulated it…..he realized his future is no longer with the US…) IMO, this is the bottom line: 1) The RV is his life-saver: He will only does it if he is assured of his control of his position as PM or if his life depends on it. 2) It would not surprise me if he exercises his default authority as the chief –of- staff and declare emergency if the oppositions foments widespread uprisings. He gets to stay on as the ultimate authority–by default. What’s more scary would be the terror plan to eradicate any more opposition under whatever pretext! And why did the security guards use excessive force leaving three journalists injured? Last Friday, the government used the same methods adopted by Mubarak to cut off roads thus preventing protestors to arrive at Tahrir Square, in the heart of Baghdad — they cut off access to cross the bridge towards the Green Zone, which houses the headquarters of a puppet government and the largest US embassy in the world persists. All heads of tribes were warned of dire punishments if any member of the tribe participates in these hostile protests and the Baathists were the blamed for the mess. The Iraqi police surrounded the headquarters of the Communist party because some of its members were active participants in these protests and also coordinated with left wing parties. They demanded that the communist party should evacuate the area which they control during the American occupation. This great movement carried out by the young people who have had access to Tahrir Square, paved a way for a poetry festival and manifested in public art and outdoor collective songs — thousands of participants demand freedom and independence and accuse the government of looting the fortunes of the country. On the ‘Day of Dignity’ rebel Iraqis raised flags and slogans shouting: ‘Liar, liar Nouri Al Maliki’, ‘Yes, to democracy and fighting corruption’, ‘Where is the oil money?’ ‘O Maliki … rubbish commander’, ‘People want to drop the puppet government’ with stark images of a finger amputated and writing in blue ink: ‘We regret’, referring to the farce called elections in Iraq. Iraq is a rich country. Its annual income is more than eighty billion dollars from oil exports, however, the majority of the population live below the poverty line. On the other hand, the privileged members of parliament get monthly salaries that are on par with or even more than their counterparts in Sweden, Switzerland and the US not to mention income through foul means. Al Maliki and his group are now convinced that the Iraqis are against them, especially those who made fun at the injustices that were done to the Shiites and respect given to the “Religious References”. They cannot justify that “Saddam followers” are scarecrows, especially the Muslim Shiite Arabs in the South who had been killed during Saddam’s regime. Most of the deputies of this farcical Parliament were not elected but were selected. Bahaa Alaragi revealed to the official channel Al Baghdadiya that only 16 deputies were instated in the parliament out of the 325 deputies elected. The revolution will inevitably triumph in Iraq like in other Arab countries like Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, and many more similar revolutions are expected in more Arab countries in the near future. I still do not understand how people can support government controlled health care. I agree that things were once too much in favor of the doctors, and now they favor the insurance companies. To give someone else the authority to say what you deserve and what you do not deserve is outrageous. Yes, you can keep your child that refuses to get a job on your insurance until they are 26. Yes, you can go to a hospital and get service. What they do not tell you, and what most people fail to realize, is that the service you take for granted will change. An inflamed gall bladder that needs to be removed will be treated with antibiotics of the smallest power. And then when they don't work, it will be treated with a medium powered antibiotic. And if that doesn't work, it will be treated with a high powered antibiotic. And then when all of that fails they will schedule surgery - and how far out that is, will depend on your age. It will come from a book read by someone with a high school education deciding what to do with your illness based on percentages. So you have cancer that has a 10% survival rate? The survival rate is so small that it will be deemed unworthy to spend the cash to even attempt to treat that. Oh, your child has leukemia? Your grandmother broke her hip? Your 60 year old father had a heart attack? For the government to insist that you have anything, and we as the people allowing that, is opening the door for more control of our lives. Think about it. If the government insists that we all have health care because some people do not realize it's importance what's to stop them from going further? The government steps in because they do not believe that we can make our own decisions and decides that everyone must have a GM car instead of a Ford. Guns kill people. The law abiding citizens do not realize this. So let's take away their guns. Most citizens can not add or multiply or are not smart enough to check out the nutrition facts on the back of a can of soda. So let's make the soft drink companies put the exact amount of calories on the front of a can. No, we don't care if they will pass the cost off to the citizens. Video games are desensitizing children. Let's get rid of them altogether. Marilyn Manson caused that kid to go in and shoot up that school. Let's get rid of all of that type of music. Ten years later, someone else gets elected, decides that if they can get rid of one type, let's get rid of every bit that pesky rock and roll. Bicycles are the #1 cause of spinal injury in children. Let's get rid of those while we're at it. Don't forget to earmark that bill and add trampolines and swimming pools because they are #2 and #3 on that list. Keep your right to choose.
