I said really I didn't know you had dinars he said yes he got in at the beging 6 years ago when they first release it to be able to buy dinars when I found out how much he had I was shocked he said he got them when they were dirt cheap and got a real good price for them. He also said he saw a copy of the buget that showed the rv in it at a rate of $3.40, I said are you sure of that he said yes and their would be no low leave first they are planning to go right off at the $3.40 I said will if they do I am cashing all out. I also said I heard it would start out low and go up later and he said no way they are going all out and they need to go all out they just want to get it done anyway. NOW AS I SAID THIS IS HEAR SAY, ALL A ROMOR UNTILL PROVE AND WE SEE IT HAPPEN DON'T SHOT THE MESSANGER JUST PASSING ON INFO i HEARD THAT SOUNDED LIKE GOOD NEWS.

  4. Well since Friday you (you know who you are) have seen screaming that "It's a done deal. The fat lady is singing. CBI will indicate the RV'd rate on Sunday. Cash out Monday. Blah Blah" Well it's 7am EST on Sunday and the CBI was updated for today. Know what it shows? Guess? US dollar USD 1170.000 1168.000 So what happened? Where's the 100:1 RV rate making us overnight millionaires? Last night I went to bed a commoner and swore I'd wake up today as One of the Beautiful People. Well yet again your INTEL proved void again. Another Epic FAIL. Ever read the story of the Boy who Cried Wolf? Do you clowns really believe that screaming every Friday about the RV Monday is going to continue working? You think because you put out a BS rumor each and every Friday that people are going to believe you and run out and drop Junior's college fund on buying Dinars from your surrogates? Come on? You might have suckered a few people back in the day but now all yous do is continue making jerkoffs out of yourselves. I read your junk for entertainment value only, but after week upon week, it's time someone called you out. So here's the question: WHAT HAPPENED? YOU SAID THE FAT LADY SUNG? WHERE'S THE RV YOU SWORE TO AND TOLD US TO 'BET THE HOUSE ON IT'?

  5. Could be, because the Iraqi dinar as of today is not an internationally traded currency. She was not saying anything new or lying or anything of that nature. This does not mean when the iraqi dinar becomes a tradable currency, we cannot trade it at any bank who does these type of transactions. It's just that right now, on this date, she is correct. Gary.

  6. Currency Auctions Announcement No. (1829) The latest daily currency auction was held in the Central Bank of Iraq on the 6-FEB-2011. The results were as follows: DetailsNotesNumber of banks15 Auction price selling dinar / US$1170 Auction price buying dinar / US$----- Amount sold at auction price (US$)145,879,000 Amount purchased at Auction price (US$)----- Total offers for buying (US$)145,879.000 Total offers for selling (US$)----- Exchange rates Dollar's exchange rates / in Baghdad markets Oil off a bit but they are Friday's close Gold ... I'm going to post the chart as it was running in one channel then went straight up (about $17 -$18 higher) and settled into another channel ... you have to see it to understand the positioning affect that took place Zeroes ... decent volume with 15 banks participating (of the what 22? ... lost count a while back when they added 2 ... have I lost count again?) 1.09M was the cash portion today. Remember how they didn't keep the pdf updated? Well for some time now it has been updated EVERY day! Yesterday, the first couple of things I read weren't exactly "Debbie Downer" or "Negative Nancy" but kind of like the military's "hurry up and wait (and wait ... and wait). I really wasn't in the mood for it ... no I didn't bomb anyone with negatives! ... I just went to the next ... and it wasn't any better. I texted a DV friend ... he told me that "so and so" was upbeat ... OK ... I read it but I'm not a big fan of his. Later, my DV friend called me and asked if the group was ordering ... he had a relative that wanted some and could I come over because this relative had "put 2 and 2 together" from accidental intel that he didn't realize was IQD related when he heard it ... but after my friend's intro to IQD this relative "wanted in". I did ... he did ... and you conspiracy theorists would be standing on your chairs and making plans for your desk (if you get my drift). No rate. No date. But a whose who in the Middle East ... and THAT it is coming in the near future. I don't mean that he indicated this weekend or next week ... not at all. No idea .After my morning quick read though ... I was quite cheered up. Yes, I know it was third hand confirmation ... yep, I got that ... an unprompted story from a music guy who knows nothing of currencies or the Middle East tells me a lot of details that he wouldn't know unless he was one of us. OK ... like I said ... cheered up! Then I get home and listen to a recording from an owner of another site ... feeding my own (prior) advice back to me ... be excited at a window of opportunity date ... don't get too high but why not get excited if you are in this investment ... no predictions ... just big opportunity dates ... staying off of the roller-coaster of emotions by simply saying, "MAYBE now". What's my point? The BOOK says that Iron sharpens Iron. Yesterday was a day that fellow IQD holders helped me ... I didn't think I needed help ... I stand corrected. We all have low points ... not disbelief or anger or (_______ fill in the blank here) ... just weary. When you have needs ... it happens ... even to guys like me who are resolute in their faith (no not in Iraq or IQD ... you know what I mean). And I appreciate the "sharpening". I have my God-daughters this weekend and we are getting ready for church but let's see what's in the news this Sunday: A couple of budget delay articles ... see above ... lol Novelty Saddam Hussein currency for a joke NOT lower denoms NOT counterfeit MP's are wrangling for the popular vote by insisting 15% be set aside for the populous BEFORE voting on the budget ... I'm not saying that it's wrong ... just hard to believe them ... and counter productive since it will delay the process not hurry it along. Former Colonel for defense minister ... we'll see how that plays out And al-Maliki ... self-deprecating al-Maliki has changed his mind on a third term ... imagine that! I've run out of time ... I hope that your perspective has been "cheered" a bit ... even a little would be rewarding. Peace to all Doc31

  7. DV TEAM, I hope all is well and wish a safe and happy Super Bowl for all. Below you will find the GDP Projections from the Ministry of Planning, using 1988 as a base year. I've also attached an article from ASSABAH news where I found an interesting statement in the last sentence. In essence, I'm probably wrong, but the similarities in the rate are something worth sharing. I'll let you make your own judgment. 11. So after landing my new job as a Wal-Mart greeter, a good find for many retirees, I lasted less than a day…. About two hours into my first day on the job a very loud, unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into the store with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance. I said pleasantly, ‘Good morning and welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?’ The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, ‘Hell no, they ain’t twins. The oldest one’s 9, and the other one’s 7. Why the hell would you think they’re twins? Are you blind, or stupid?’ So I replied, ‘I’m neither blind nor stupid, Ma’am, I just couldn’t believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.’ My supervisor said I probably wasn’t cut out for this line of work.

  12. 2-5-11 Recap of the day’s events/postings Facts: 1. Maliki confirms news of oil contracts approval between GOI and Kurdistan 2. Free block: I will not vote on the budget unless allocated 15% of the salaries of oil to the Iraqi people 3. Parliament ends 29th session; Will reconvene Monday 4. CBI warns of negative effects from delay in approving the budget in 2011 5. Start The Kurdistan Alliance, confirms the second phase of the initiative Barzani soon 6. Allawi, Jaafari to discuss with the Council for the high-level policy and complete the cabinet reshuffle 7. Iraq Put the Name of a Former Colonel in the Army For the Post of Defense Minister 8. Sources: Put Name of Baqir Jabr Al-Zubaidi, Vice President of Policy Board Rumors:Of Interest (rumors that I find of particular interest either because of who said it or because of how I think it relates to what is happening right now): 1. None The Rest (doesn’t mean these are not happening): 1. Skype chat – RUMOR from Athena 2. Blaino rumor Where Are We At? 1. Slow day today! About the biggest news there was today in government formation is related to the fact that they met today in Parliament to discuss the first reading of the draft law of the Federal Court. There seems to be much debate as to whether Parliament has the ability to submit draft laws and whether there is a violation of separation of powers between it and the executive branch. Needless to say, there needs to be more discussion. The next meeting is Monday. Regarding the Council for the strategic policy, Allawi met with Jaafari to discuss ways to accelerate the completion of his cabinet and its role in supporting and developing the government. Finally, more names are being submitted for open positions. 2. In budget news, Saleh spoke out today about the delays. He said the delays on passing the budget would weaken the economic growth of the country. He said the budget was built according to an economic growth rate assumption of 10%. The implication here is that they will not achieve the 10% growth due to the fact that they haven’t approved the budget; hence, they cannot start on major projects that will have a positive impact on the growth of the country. In other budget related news, there were members of the Sadr bloc who demanded that 15% of the oil revenues go to the salaries of the people. Another said he wanted 25%. Both are saying they will not allow the budget to pass unless they get what they are asking for. 3. On the rumor front, we have much of the same news. Everything is done and we’re just waiting for the RV sometime this week. What’s left? 1. Reading of the budget for the first third time 2. Closure on Security positions (3 in total) and the remaining unfilled positions (6) 3. Formal announcement of government 4. Agreement on outstanding Kuwait issues 5. Lifting of remaining Chapter 7 sanctions (Kuwait related) 6. RV/RI 7. HCL What’s It All Mean? 1. From looking at the news regarding government formation, it still appears that there is a sense of urgency to get things done. Yet, there are still outstanding issues that may take a little more time to resolve….meaning….no GOI within days. More specifically, the issues between Allawi and Maliki on Allawi’s new branch of government may take some time to resolve. Also, today’s news said that Allawi was calling on the Kurds to assist in resolving the issues between him and Maliki. Could this get done in a day? Maybe, but not likely. I can see them spending another couple weeks at minimum just to get to the point where they are in agreement. All this, of course, assumes the GOI is not done. There are some who are saying they are being told it is. I hope it is done for their sake. If not, I hope they work hard to get it done within days and not weeks. Remember, there is a GCC meeting on the 17th of this month. Frank said they would need to RV prior to the GCC meeting. Otherwise, they would not be able to join the GCC. But, to RV, Shabibi needs to see the government announced. Less than 12 days to go. 2. Regarding the budget, it has been days since we’ve heard news of the budget being read. The last it was in Parliament, they reviewed the amendments. It was then said that they would bring the budget to Parliament for a vote. I haven’t seen any news on this. It is rumored the budget is done and was already posted in the Gazette. I find it interesting that there really is no news of the budget being voted on. But wait! They need a government to ratify it! Maybe the budget is sitting on the table waiting for the GOI? 3. On the rumor front, I’m not seeing news line up with statements that everything is done. Does this mean the rumors are not true? Not necessarily. Only time will tell, of course. If we see an RV in the midst of all the news of Allawi and Maliki not agreeing on the government formation, then we know everything was done and those who said it were right. If we do not see the RV, perhaps we need to pay more attention to what is being said in the news.

  13. I see that it is now accepted that the "14 dinars" threads are now debunked. I'm not saying that it's fact or fiction. I am saying that it hasn't been proven OR debunked either. Below are some of the lame comments that are considered "proof" that it's been debunked. It's becoming more and more disappointing that members who can find just one reason why something might not be true, and do it rudely, succeed in discouraging others from posting what they may feel be important, or just curious observations. Keepmwlknfunny: Common sense would have told you that once you saw the redonkulous rate it was a simple mistake.....a rate that high would/will NEVER happen........especially with the amount they have in circulation......its just not possible.... --Thanks for the opinion, but the point is that it hasn't been debunked. jola: "The Iraqi Finance Ministry has already announced that it worked out the budget for next year at $86.4 billion, which is more by $14 billion than the current budget." Math works, case closed. --Thanks for the opinion, but the article said "14 dinars" next to the $73 billion referring to the price of a barrel of oil used in setting the original budget. It didn't say "per cent". Just because you found the number 14 somewhere else doesn't necessarily mean it applies to this. Math doesn't work, case still open. mythunter: Oil prices are posted in USD. OPEC sells barrels of oil on the open market in USD. I have seen that article with the 14 IQD but thought there must be something wrong. Why would they state 14IQD and then post $73. Doesn't make sense. We will not see a rate of $5.21 when this RVs. Sorry. --Thanks for the opinion, but the "14 dinars" was posted next to the USD number just like it often is to show the same amount in Iraqi currency. The article was translated from Arabic, only natural to show local, comparable rate like that. We've all seen it a thousand times this way. Sorry. I am not saying it's the "end all-this has-to-be-the-rate" . The point is, all of the burden up until now has been on the poster to PROVE what info they have or to provide a named, verifiable SOURCE, when that's just not possible all of the time. We gather here to share our info/intel, and all info/intel is not created equally. The whole issue above is just a noted curiosity, that's all. But, because some can't wrap their tiny minds around the possibility that the rate's that high, or just can't accept that someone has noted an odd occurrence that's unexplained, they get bashed rather unpolitely. WHY DON'T "BASHERS" HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING? Ever wonder about that? Try proving what YOU say is true instead of just disagreeing! Anyone can rudely create a reason why something might not be true, but that's just their pathetic opinion, NOT PROOF that what was stated isn't true. Keepmwlknfunny, YOU found that out this week, didn't you? Here you are spittin' on someone else's curious observation already! The "14 Dinars" /$5.21 rate slip has NOT been debunked. It hasn't been proven either. Easier to call something not true, too high of a rate, or won't happen until summer than to brave posting what may or may not be info. If you're wrong, nobody will care or call you on it. Cowards. Who knows what cool information that we could have gotten, but someone felt that they'd just get trashed..... There, off my chest. Take yer best shot.

  14. * Fisk Post: don't promote other sites 2/6/11 February 6th, 2011 01:21 pm · Posted in CHATS & POSTS (Iraqi Dinar Info) Not my info found on don't promote other sites ………………………………….. MY BUDDY IN IRAQ THAT I INTRODUCED TO PD IN EARLY JAN. FINALLY SHOT ME OFF AN EMAIL I was kinda wondering why he wasn’t responding to me on Facebook concerning the questions I was asking about her dinar and lower denoms and I quess it became a bit of an issue with certain “Higer Ups” about posting his picture with the Speaker of The MInistry of Defense on such a public forum (Facebook). Mainly for his protection. Although cool as it may have seemed at the time his safety comes 1st. They thought that he might become a target and for good reason I would assume. So this is the info he shared with me via email. He took his time with this obviously but told me he wanted to be thorough with his sources and information. Here it is: The lower denoms are suppose to be released when the Kurds are satisfied through ratification of the budget as for their percentage of the proceeds of the oil but still not prior to the revalution of the dinar. The reason for this is because the Kurds are a very proud group (as any of them are) and feel that once they are FULLY recognized by the rest of the government of Iraq through the acceptance of the terms than and only than will they allow the release of the lower denoms that have been already printed and ready for release. WHY? you may ask!!!! BECAUSE the lower denoms are of Kurdish representation and they do not want them out prior to the RV because they really hold no value prior RV and at the same time it would badly represent their position in government. It has always been the plan to release them simultaneously with the RV to show their place (strength) within in the government. So this is what he heard from his sources and he told me to tell you not to give me a hard time if it doesn’t add up for some reason,,, LOL … go light people and don’t shoot the messenger, K? This is first hand information from my source for whom most of you have seen his picture standing out in front of the Defense Ministry with the Speaker of the Ministry of Defense. And ChiefV, you were right when you PM’d me and asked if he was going to catch some flack for posting on Facebook …. It takes one to know one I guess, right?! I waited this late this evening (actually 2am) to provide you all with this info from him. It’s Sunday morning there and he also stated that things have been heating up big time in last 24-48 hours. I gave him all the kind messages that a lot of you had passed through me and I sent over Facebook since his photo post and he wishes for me to thank you and to tell you that ; “I’m just doing my job serving my country, out.” – You can only imagine how proud I am to be his Bud! Signing off and I hope you all enjoy this early morning wake up call. Fisk

  15. This is great news. You know, the amount of dinar I have will not make me rich, I won't be able to retire. But it will help things along for me. After joining this site I have become more aware of what this will mean for the people of Iraq...those that live in poverty. I not only cheer for us and the RV but also the success of Iraq and a better life for Iraq citizens as well. I cheer for Iraq and then for us!

  17. Take this as you wish, I have never written a post on any dinar site about anything. I've read a lot of rumours too and they are getting to be quite annoying. With that said I I decided to call around some banks myself and find out for myself rather then read all these rumours of the RV happening tomorrow!!!!! I called BOA on tuesday and asked to speak to customer service. After getting transferred I asked about the dinar, weather they are dealing with it and what the exchange rate it. Now I made it very clear that I was talking about the IRAQ DINAR and after being put on hold for a short while the lady very confidently said "yes we are dealing with it and the exchange rate is 0.3014 to the US dollar". Like anyone i thought i misheard her and asked the exact same question again and once again she repeated "0.3014" I had to sit down at this point and started shaking a bit from trying to process this info. I then asked her again..."are you sure this is the IQD your looking at" to which she responded to with "yes".Then i asked her once again just cause I thought i was mishearing something. She responds the final time with "if you have 12 US dollars you have approximately 4 dinar. At this point my mind blew up i was almost hyperventilating! After she told me the last thing I asked her again "are you sure this is the IRAQ DINAR were talking about?" and as soon as I finished the question the call "failed". I have no idea why it did, I was sitting in my room so its not like I got a dropped call. In fact I cant remember the last time I ever had a dropped call on this phone so I cant explain why it would have ended like that. I immediately tried calling back to get on the line with the same lady but I couldn't, the second time I got through I was talking to someone who I believe was cassandra ( i know someone posted about a cassandra at a salem branch on another site last week, this was the same branch, that post was the original reason that i called) and she told me that BOA doesn't deal with the IQD but she has heard rumours that they might be in early Feb (not directly from the bank just overall has heard of em, i asked) and that was all she could tell me. After getting off the phone with her I realized i should have recorded my convos!! So I called back and got another lady at BOA and as soon as I brought up the IQD, as if reading a script she said that BOA isn't dealing with it or planning to anytime in the future etc etc etc. I told her that I was just speaking to someone from their bank 10 mins earlier and they told me otherwise and she said that it is impossible and that I probably misunderstood. I dont know why the first person I got through at BOA told me this and then the call failed but not until I got confirmation 4times about the dinar and the rate. You may be thinking she's talking about the Kuwait dinar which I also thought but the kuwait dinars rate is 0.28 where is the number she gave me was 0.3014. There is no other currency with that value so I cant figure out where she got this number from?? Im on here just like all of you hoping for this to RV so I can become ridiculously rich so spreading false bull is just stupid and I have no interest in doing so. Just felt like I absolutely needed to share this. Ive called BOA branches all across the country since then hoping to get someone else to confirm this for me but all Im getting is the same speech that I got from the lady the 3rd time I called, completely denying it and one guy told me that I wasn't talking to a BOA customer service rep the first time and I was probably wrong Like I already said take this as you wish, I have no interest in getting false hopes up since I've had mine up too many times. PS. I called the same branch I called 2nd time I called BOA (when the lady by the name of cassandra told me about possibly dealing with IQD in Feb) and the man I spoke to (and I have this all recorded BTW) tells me that there is no and never has been a CAssandra working there and that I have been mislead. He also said that it is illegal for any bank in the US to trade the IQD and that there is absolutely no plan of trading it anytime soon.

  18. Last night the phone rang, just as I wast about to fall asleep after a hard 17 mile inline skate. It was my sister. She told me I was a rich man! I thought for a second that it may have RV'd! Then she mentioned the word Okie. On a conference call Okie said it was a done deal. Malaki was going to announce in 2 hours the RV. Because of all the rioting they are expediting it. Also one of my relatives had bought another 2 million. The rate was over 5 dollars according to Okies calculations using the price of oil at $73 per barrel. I told her not to get too excited as this guy does this every week. She asked if I wanted the number for the conference call? "I said", I think I will wait to see what happens tomorrow instead. I can't believe my sister gets all excited about these nut cases living in a fantasy world! If someone lies to you a million times are you still going to take the bait and believe them yet again? But you never know. Okie might have secret information and it has been delayed for some reason.

  19. Oooooh, noooo!! You did not just post that!! Regarding "my opinion", the truth is that it is NOT an opinion, it is a fact. I will let YOU do the work/research, because you know what? There are a bunch of articles with the same reference to "the magic number 14", but I will let YOU find them. I have 7 years of reading articles translated by Google, Babylon, you name it... I know how the translation works, and I also know how everything in these articles can be misinterpreted. I probably have read more Arablish that you will ever read ( and I hope it won't be long before all this comes to an end and no one will need to read it) and I would not need an RV any more if I would get one penny for every rumour I've heard during these years. I am not a basher or a naysayer, however, I hate when others make smoke and there is no fire. I love a good rumour, but as I said : this is a fact/article, not a rumour, it does not need to be debunked. And by the way , yes, math works: almost 79 bn + 14bn = 93 bn (approx. 94 bn - the modified budget) Under the bill rate to remain income estimates the federal budget for fiscal 2011 Bmpelgha former adult (78,705,237,500,000) JD (Seventy-eight thousand seven hundred and five billion two hundred and thirty-seven million five hundred thousand dinars), according to the main accounts, but the increase occurred in the budget deficit and expenditure so that was the allocation of the amount of $ (94295059613000) (ninety-four thousand two hundred and ninety five billion and fifty-nine million six hundred and thirteen thousand dinars for the expenses of the fiscal year 2011 distributed according to (field 3 Total expenditure) (Table B expenditures by ministries) attached to this law. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.alsumarianews.com/ar/3/16104/news-details-.html&rurl=translate.google.com I know, you will say my math is not good, but these are only approximate figures.

  20. I think people would be less likely to jump on the predictions and "intel" if the same people did not alter their story every day. One minute it is $3.21 the next it is $8.13. One minute it is fixed the next floating. How many times have there been people telling us that the budget is approved, the government is complete, or some other story? I read a lot of this and these guys who make the multiple predictions sometimes daily make it almost impossible to not question everything. You may be right that something is not debunked or that the bashers never have to prove anything. The fact is that all the predictions and stories end up in the can after a few days so the bashers don't have to back their stories up because the guys who write this fiction take care of it for the bashers. If they would make fewer predictions or stick to one story for a while it would be easier to find truthful.

  23. The negative comments about the post contents are sort of expected, are they not? They shouldn't be as it is against the rules but then, just as the Iraqi's don't follow rules, there are many here who don't either. So? But ... BUT ... bashing someone because of his "spelling" ??????? Get real guys. Partly is is bad spelling and partly it is bad typing. I have been a typesetter, editor and taught for years but I make mistakes too and sometimes am just too lazy to bother even correcting them. When the PC was becoming popular, and yes, I remember the days before personal computers, I am ancient ... in those days many teachers stopped teaching spelling beyond whatever time the curriculum slated for spelling directly. They didn't bother to correct any and I mean ANY work done on the computer keyboard. The reason? Kids had so much to learn "these days" that they don't have time for spelling and besides there is a spellcheck on every computer. It was assumed that everyone would evolve into a workplace where they would be a computer keyboard and have spellcheck in all things. Spelling ... let the machine do it. Then of course texting and the infamous short form language came along. Spelling ... forgedaboudit! So, lay off the poster, eh? He is either doing his best, which we appreciate, or doesn't care, which is none of our business. Oh, also I owned a newspaper for several years. And when someone didn't like what I had to say in the weekly editorial, guess what I told them? TURN THE PAGE. So if you don't like what you are reading, just don't read it. No one has a gun to your head! smee2

  26. Why should anybody need to debunk a $5.21 rate? Whatever happened to common sense?

  27. Well, an Iraqi doctor is entitled to his opinion too. But in this instance I hope he is wrong. Now, just to put some balance on this ... He is Iraqi, knows the area. He is a doctor, not dumb. He is as you indicate wealthy, and would indicate some money smarts. However ... Coule you pick up any 10 wealthy, native born American doctors, and ask them about the economic future of America, you might get several different opinions. Think outside the box of Iraq and the RV ... think about any bright, wealthy, well trained and in touch professional in your own country, in any country. Are they going to have a more valid opinion than the guy in the next office that does the same kind of work, with the same background? I don't think so. It is an opinion. Granted it comes from a source we see on the surface as nearer to the issue. But in reality, unless you are the governor of the Bank of Iraq, you don't know sqat. Al you have is an opinion. And that is all this doctor has. It is a valid opinion, and he is welcome to it but even the doctors in Iraq would have a variety of opinons. I only bring this up because in first reading this is a little daunting. The initial feeling is of hopelessness, like ... OMG what now? What have I missed? You haven't missed anything. You are doing due dilligence as the saying goes. So, take this as a person.s opinion, and don't bash the poster, and just add it to the list of opinions we already have from a variety of sources, none of which are any more valid than others, whether they be from people somehow connected to Iraq, or wo have money, or any other reason. That's it ... my say on this ... smee2

  28. The other day I went into my local Wells Fargo branch. I have been a customer there for many years. While waiting in a somewhat long line, an assistant manager that I know came to me and said she would process my transaction at her desk. After I concluded my business, I made a passing remark, “So how much is a dinar worth today”. Her response was, “You too. It’s still at 1170”. Surprised by the response, I ask her how she knew I was referring to the Iraqi dinar and the value. She told me that at least once a week someone comes into the bank and makes the same query, and asks about rumors of dinar increasing in value. I then asked if there was any truth to these rumors. Her response was (paraphrasing her words), “Upper management has advised that if any questions are asked about the dinar, we can tell the customer the current rate; that bank has no opinion on rumors of increased valuation of the currency or any currency; and that you should speak to your financial consultant regarding investing in the dinar or any foreign currency.” Because I know her I asked, “Do you have any dinar”, her response was “yes”. I then asked “between you and I, what do think is going to happen?” Her response was, (paraphrasing again); “Some days I think that they will remove the zeros, and other days I think that it will revalue, but if it does revalue, I seriously doubt that there will be a one to one exchange. It will more likely be a value somewhere between 17 cents to 37 cents.” I said to her, “I am also pessimistic that it will be a one to one exchange, but how did you come up with this odd number range?” She just smiled and said “rumors”. I left it at that, and said goodbye. I don’t know if this indicates anything for the future, but I thought you (viewers of the site) would be interested.

  29. The problem with those low figures is the fear of (lack of proper verbiage) hostile takeover.Once their currency is traded on the open market they will attract the attention of serious Investors after all they sit on the largest supply of the natural resource that the entire world wants.c. V v Governments,Wales, huge Investors would buy up Gazillion's of dinar. They don't think Iraq would allow that to happen. After all why come this far just to let someone own you like we have China? Go RV / RI

  38. Well, if this is true, there are a number of banks which are selling dinar which may have some explaining to do to their clients, especially B of A. I would find it hard to believe that a large bank would knowing continue to sell Dinar if they knew we could not cash it in at their banks, or at the very least showing some sort of disclaimer when selling dinar. If not, they perhaps are leaving themselves open to a classaction suit, as there are many people jumping on this wagon every single day. We shall see, Take Care, J

  39. And let us hope and pray it is not (See Medic chat - Feb 5th). A significant contributing factor - IMO - would be that the RV has not been given to the people of Iraq as it should have been. The "invasion" resulted in the wealth of the people of Iraq being removed - they need it back. It is beyond the right time and it needs to be done - now.

  41. Hey andy3978 don't forget this is a budget, being a business man it is really only an OUTLINE of what to follow. The budget is always speculative, a guidline to try to follow. It does not include NEW contracts for oil that could come in tomorrow. That would only help the budget. Look at it this way. My expense for my business every year is say $100.00 (hypothetical), looking at past income per month on average is around say $15.00. Over 12 months that equals $180.00 income. That gives me and extra $80.00 to work with this year if everything comes in as planned. So I make plans with the $80.00. But unexpectedly my company signed a deal worth $100,000.00 (That would be like 100's of OIL deals) so not only do I cover expense I got all this extra cash that I have not budgeted for anything. See what I'm saying? It's only a budget. Nothing is ever written in stone in business, much much less in Government.

  42. Pumpers can't pump if we don't let them get us pumped. We all need to be responsible for our own actions and reactions to other people's actions. My advice if you are on the down slope of the roller coaster would be to stay away from the rumor section for a few days and focus on the news and facts. It's fun to dream and it's exciting but this thing is not going to happen on our time schedule, but it most certainly will happen. My bet is when this is all over, in a strage kind of way, we are all going to miss this crazy ride. She's coming folks and I think we are real close. Peace.

  43. What is crazy is I have only been around for a few days and this guy has changed his story a dozen times. I may be new and not know a source that has been right, however that does not keep me from knowing this one is not right. So maybe you guys that have been around longer should not be so quick to throw out the hey newbie BS. Everyone that is in this is entitled to an opinion and once stated open for the same criticism regardless of how long they have been on this site.
