  1. Six Boys And Thirteen Hands... Each year I am hired to go to Washington, DC, with the eighth grade class from Clinton, WI where I grew up, to videotape their trip. I greatly enjoy visiting our nation's capitol, and each year I take some special memories back with me. This fall's trip was especially memorable. On the last night of our trip, we stopped at the Iwo Jima memorial. This memorial is the largest bronze statue in the world and depicts one of the most famous photographs in history -- that of the six brave soldiers raising the American Flag at the top of a rocky hill on the island of Iwo Jima, Japan, during WW II. Over one hundred students and chaperones piled off the buses and headed towards the memorial. I noticed a solitary figure at the base of the statue, and as I got closer he asked, 'Where are you guys from?' I told him that we were from Wisconsin . 'Hey, I'm a cheese head, too! Come gather around, Cheese heads, and I will tell you a story.' (James Bradley just happened to be in Washington, DC, to speak at the memorial the following day. He was there that night to say good night to his dad, who had passed away. He was just about to leave when he saw the buses pull up. I videotaped him as he spoke to us, and received his permission to share what he said from my videotape. It is one thing to tour the incredible monuments filled with history in Washington, DC, but it is quite another to get the kind of insight we received that night.) When all had gathered around, he reverently began to speak. (Here are his words that night.) 'My name is James Bradley and I'm from Antigo, Wisconsin . My dad is on that statue, and I just wrote a book called 'Flags of Our Fathers' which is #5 on the New York Times Best Seller list right now. It is the story of the six boys you see behind me. 'Six boys raised the flag. The first guy putting the pole in the ground is Harlon Block. Harlon was an all-state football player. He enlisted in the Marine Corps with all the senior members of his football team. They were off to play another type of game. A game called 'War.' But it didn't turn out to be a game. Harlon, at the age of 21, died with his intestines in his hands. I don't say that to gross you out, I say that because there are people who stand in front of this statue and talk about the glory of war. You guys need to know that most of the boys in Iwo Jima were 17, 18, and 19 years old - and it was so hard that the ones who did make it home never even would talk to their families about it. (He pointed to the statue) 'You see this next guy? That's Rene Gagnon from New Hampshire. If you took Rene's helmet off at the moment this photo was taken and looked in the webbing of that helmet, you would find a photograph... a photograph of his girlfriend. Rene put that in there for protection because he was scared. He was 18 years old. It was just boys who won the battle of Iwo Jima. Boys. Not old men. 'The next guy here, the third guy in this tableau, was Sergeant Mike Strank. Mike is my hero. He was the hero of all these guys. They called him the 'old man' because he was so old. He was already 24. When Mike would motivate his boys in training camp, he didn't say, 'Let's go kill some Japanese' or 'Let's die for our country.' He knew he was talking to little boys.. Instead he would say, 'You do what I say, and I'll get you home to your mothers.' 'The last guy on this side of the statue is Ira Hayes, a Pima Indian from Arizona. Ira Hayes was one who walked off Iwo Jima. He went into the White House with my dad. President Truman told him, 'You're a hero'. He told reporters, 'How can I feel like a hero when 250 of my buddies hit the island with me and only 27 of us walked off alive?' So you take your class at school, 250 of you spending a year together having fun, doing everything together. Then all 250 of you hit the beach, but only 27 of your classmates walk off alive. That was Ira Hayes. He had images of horror in his mind. Ira Hayes carried the pain home with him and eventually died dead drunk, face down at the age of 32 (ten years after this picture was taken). 'The next guy, going around the statue, is Franklin Sousley from Hilltop, Kentucky. A fun-lovin' hillbilly boy. His best friend, who is now 70, told me, 'Yeah, you know, we took two cows up on the porch of the Hilltop General Store. Then we strung wire across the stairs so the cows couldn't get down. Then we fed them Epsom salts. Those cows crapped all night.' Yes, he was a fun-lovin' hillbilly boy. Franklin died on Iwo Jima at the age of 19. When the telegram came to tell his mother that he was dead, it went to the Hilltop General Store. A barefoot boy ran that telegram up to his mother's farm. The neighbors could hear her scream all night and into the morning. Those neighbors lived a quarter of a mile away. 'The next guy, as we continue to go around the statue, is my dad, John Bradley, from Antigo, Wisconsin, where I was raised. My dad lived until 1994, but he would never give interviews. When Walter Cronkite's producers or the New York Times would call, we were trained as little kids to say 'No, I'm sorry, sir, my dad's not here. He is in Canada fishing. No, there is no phone there, sir. No, we don't know when he is coming back.' My dad never fished or even went to Canada . Usually, he was sitting there right at the table eating his Campbell 's soup. But we had to tell the press that he was out fishing. He didn't want to talk to the press. 'You see, like Ira Hayes, my dad didn't see himself as a hero. Everyone thinks these guys are heroes, 'cause they are in a photo and on a monument. My dad knew better. He was a medic. John Bradley from Wisconsin was a caregiver. In Iwo Jima he probably held over 200 boys as they died. And when boys died in Iwo Jima, they writhed and screamed, without any medication or help with the pain. 'When I was a little boy, my third grade teacher told me that my dad was a hero. When I went home and told my dad that, he looked at me and said, 'I want you always to remember that the heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who did not come back. Did NOT come back.' 'So that's the story about six nice young boys. Three died on Iwo Jima, and three came back as national heroes. Overall, 7,000 boys died on Iwo Jima in the worst battle in the history of the Marine Corps. My voice is giving out, so I will end here. Thank you for your time.' Suddenly, the monument wasn't just a big old piece of metal with a flag sticking out of the top. It came to life before our eyes with the heartfelt words of a son who did indeed have a father who was a hero. Maybe not a hero for the reasons most people would believe, but a hero nonetheless. We need to remember that God created this vast and glorious world for us to live in, freely, but also at great sacrifice Let us never forget from the Revolutionary War to the current War on Terrorism and all the wars in-between that sacrifice was made for our freedom.. Remember to pray praises for this great country of ours and also pray for those still in murderous unrest around the world. STOP and thank God for being alive and being free at someone else's sacrifice. God Bless You and God Bless America . REMINDER: Everyday that you can wake up free, it's going to be a great day. One thing I learned while on tour with my 8th grade students in DC that is not mentioned here is . . that if you look at the statue very closely and count the number of 'hands' raising the flag, there are 13. When the man who made the statue was asked why there were 13, he simply said the 13th hand was the hand of God.

  2. From the Canadian Free Press! You will never see this in our press. READ TO THE VERY END! VERY ENLIGHTENING!!! AND VERY DISTURBING!!! By Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman. As posted in comments on Greta's article referencing the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin. The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here. 1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. 2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar. 3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors. 4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand. 5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again. 6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath. By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better. You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents' wives. So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals. I rest my case. Only FOOLS listen to the biased media. If you've read this far ............................................... One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillarious, only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bushone; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket. Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and "First Hairstylist" Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One to Europe . 3. An email conversation between one of my personnel and myself: Cpt. to Chief: Chief, Well they say the 22-June-10 or 26-June-10 and the Iraqi people say the 30th of June. The banking sheik of Iraq told the government RV soon or he will do on the 30th of June. They were talking between 3.50 and 3.86 which is higher than the Kuwait currency and that what China request before they RV there currency. So what your take on this an the Dong? Chief to Cpt: What Iraqi people did you hear this from? As far as the Dong it will be within 5 to 7 hrs of the Dinar, that way people can’t double dip trying to buy more of one with the profits from the other, this is normal as many currencies tend to revalue 3 or more at a time. As long as China doesn’t play stupid again we’ll be alright. Cpt. to Chief: Chief , I have an Army Col. friend of mine that work in Army financé in theater. This person states the Iraqi people are much into the RV as we are. They know it will change the course of there country. Believe or not the Iraqi people are far educated then most Muslim world. this person keeps me update on the finance of the country. So this is my insight connection with the people of Iraq . Keep me inform as I will with you. Thanks. Chief to DV Peeps Well that's what I got for inside on the ground intel folks, sounds good to me, and my resignation letter is ready to go, just waiting on the right date to put on it! I took out the names and ranks so as to not alert anyone unnecessarily or cause trouble over here. This is one of my best Officers in country as well, so I for one have no reason to doubt him. Solid. 4. Good evening Family, I told you this story once so I will keep it short. When I was a child my little dog was run over by a car and when I ran past all of the piercing screams he was making to pick him up……..he bit me. Why would he do that when I love him so much? Because he was in pain and it has a tendency to cause confusion in a mind. He didn’t mean it……….but the pain caused his reflexes to defend him. He simply thought that I was bringing him more pain. He knew me well as he looked at me. But his body had too much hurt in it. Last night a gentleman on another forum who I have only supported and complimented in the past said some disrespectful things about my TINK. I had been on conference calls with him in the past and he has heard me and knows me. Why would he do that to my TINK who he doesn’t even know? One day I will be in a long line anxious to get to the front where God will look in my heart then ………in my eyes. I will ask Him to forgive me for my sins and I will ask to be saved by Grace because I believe in Him with that heart that He made for me. I never want to deal with the following question: Tell me Frank why should I forgive you when you never forgave anyone in your lifetime? I do not wish anger on this gentleman who I will call “B”. What I wish is for everyone to pray for B. IMO…….he is hurting. IMO……..he reached out to bit the hand that types the words that he reads everyday………the Blue Writing. If he would have been with me this weekend and seen a 1 year old granddaughter run to TINK with her arms stretched out screaming “My Nani”……then maybe he would have thought twice of what he posted. B criticized me and I can live with that because I am used to it. But when he called my wife a liar I realized that deep down somewhere within this man there is great pain. Most of you have fallen in love with the persona of Frank26 at KTFM. I only hope that when you meet me you will fall in love with the Christian that is Frank as I introduce you to those that define the word love for me…….my family. To the gentleman I call B……….I love you Sir because you are a child of my Father in Heaven. If you feel that my postings have been arranged for my profiteering or for a delusional Dong or IQD……then truly you have misjudged me. You said that I offered false info on a variety of things along with the Dong. IMO……you interpreted what you wanted to read from the Blue Writing. I am not stupid and neither are you Sir. Remember when Forrest Gump said stupid is as stupid does? Well B I do not ask for any form of apology but as a man and a husband it would please me to see you offer one to TINK. I offer you love Sir because love is as love does. Let’s get to work Family and talk about China and Vietnam. Should we do it in alphabetical order…….yes it has to be that way from the East to the West. The IMF barked like a Chihuahua at the Doberman Pincher China. They have been doing this for a few decades because China unfairly kept its currency low so that it could make a bigger profit with its exports to the hungry world. Like Godzilla flicking a fly off of his back………they constantly ignored the IMF. China could have been Goliath with the IMF being David. Remember how Goliath and his army rolled on the ground laughing at the puny David? How many of you know that the IMF is very close to running out of money? Let’s see IMF = USA………oh I see. If somebody is knocking on the door of bankruptcy do you think anyone would even open the door? China kept slamming the door on the IMF’s fingers and rudely ignored them for many years. So why the cooperation now? China takes no prisoners. China is powerful for many reasons and one of them can be seen in the way that they have taken care of the oil fields granted to them in Iraq by contracts. It is highly possible that they have acquired more than 50% of the oil rights in Iraq. Chinese soldiers that you cannot even see their eyes when standing in front of them viciously guard these fields. I bet you if a bird flies over their oil fields they laser tag them and bring them down. They were the first to meter their wells. Wells not metered can be easily tapped into to supply the black market industry that steals money away from the Iraqi citizens. China don’t play that game ! The American dollar is very weak. Yet all of these years while the Yuan was pegged to it receiving a piggyback ride……….it had great power. In the 70’s when Nixon went to open the doors to China……we awoke a sleeping dragon. With so much land and so many people and a communist government it was easy to pay somebody $1 a day for the equivalence of an honest day’s work. But was it really honest………..of course not! So with a low currency rate and a cheap labor force…..China quietly went about its business of………taking over the world. There are many ways to conquer but only one way to divide……..IMO. Forgetting the rest of the world because I am concentrating on the USD ……..America has mortgaged the FARM to China. Our industrial revolution of the 50’s and our great FARMERS of this nation became extinct. Look at the bottom of something and I will bet you a nickel it says……Made In China. Our farmers were paid and told not to grow wheat because of market prices. This talent of our nation was eroded so we turned our direction to a much cheaper way of acquiring it…………through China. We owe them so much money that we created a separate currency to represent the Americas in a desperate attempt to pay China back. Yes China holds dinars but IMO………the US has a little bit more than they do. This will certainly help once the RI is announced to pay them back. No we will not give them dinars……they will be turned into Petrol dollars or oil vouchers. There was a very good reason why Clinton and Geitner and the IMF were in China for this month. IMO they were successful and convinced China to RV. This will help a lot in paying back China from this point on. I also told you that when the figures would come out Monday the 21st that you would see the Yuan have only a 1% increase. I told you that this would be slow growth! I said it would not be a wise investment due to its floating. It was to increase from 1% to 5% by the end of 2010……….that’s all. Yet this is so crucial in ironing out an equal playing field for world currencies. Since you are invested in the IQD ……….what China did is very important to you. So if it will affect the IQD will it affect the Dong? Of course. Especially when China will be helping Vietnam with export trade business. So will China tell the Dong to increase? Remember Clinton and Geitner’s trip? IMO……patience will actually become a virtue. IMO……the longer it takes for the IQD to RI the higher the odds that the Dong will RV. One more thing…………..if you see Vietnam getting a lot of trade business from China………patience might run out again. You see Family……China got what they wanted to continue to kill the world with its exports and readjust slowly down the road and Vietnam will get what they have been hinting at even though they don’t deserve it economically……….and RV. Everybody is hunky dory………in the East. Is America hunky dory? IMO…..from the East to the West. An RI (because the USA has a lot of dinars in its federal reserves) would not only help us to pay China but to swing the pendulum more in our favor. China is starving for oil. Iraq has a lot of oil. An RI will create a better adhesiveness between America and Iraq. IMO China must not put its claws into more than 50% of Iraq or we will be repeating the last 30 years with what they did via their unfair trade profits. For over 3 decades China has been quietly……….GOING ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS. The RI IMO……will not allow China to once again quietly use its patience. Clinton and Geitner know this very well. Remember when I said I don’t trust the GOI ? Multiply that by 100 for China. IMO we are done in Asia and when I say that everything is done for the dinar to RI…………I MEAN IT!!! Three or four of you respectfully disagree……….good for you. I wish to tell my KTFM Family that AQ has been helping me to seek out specific articles. I told you in April and May to avoid the articles and the 2nd week of June Iraq’s own media admits to false info being released. All because they wanted to test people’s reactions and get some feedback. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! Anyways…….this month of June AQ and I have been bringing you articles that IMO …..are important for you to read. Yes translation stinks and you can interpret them in any way you choose. Kindly allow me to tell you that when AQ puts something up……….you should read it. Neither of us work hard to present you a meal of lies. Interpret the articles as you see fit but please keep in mind…………to read them. Many of you were expecting an RV for the Dong yesterday……..we never said that. We said China would RV at 1% and that the Dong had an announcement to make about its currency on Monday too. Please read carefully and do not read more than what is there. One last thing………some of you have sent me pm’s asking why I do not respond to your post question. If you come to class late and ask the teacher to catch you up…..what do you think he would say? Especially when just a few pages prior those questions were answered again. Please come to class prepared and do some homework. You do not have to do much…..just read my past posts and do not assume that I said something else. For almost 3 months I repeated the 1….2………..3. Even though it was dragged out by their constant bickering. Now for over 2 months I have been telling you that the Asian Theater is becoming very impatient with the ME currencies RV’ing especially the IQD. Be a student of your investment. What happened yesterday should have woke many of you up in regards to your investment. Consider it to be as if you were standing next to a cannon and you did not know that it was about to go off. The concussion alone reverberates something very positive for world currencies and not just equal trade. There is a G20 meeting this weekend. Guess who’s coming to dinner for the very first time? Vietnam representatives will be at the G20 meeting. 20 powerful world economies inviting a puny export country called Vietnam with an undervalued currency………what for? China went from 6.81 to 6.79. As we told you it would be a fractional slow growth. How many of you know what PIP stands for? Old timers…..tell the Family. Here we go again? Maybe….but I’m not invested in the Yuan. In my area the three major car industries are happy with what China did yesterday. They also know that Vietnam will be getting a lot of that business. Hmmm……..sounds good. Iraq is asking for the second part of their IMF loan now. Of course the first 440 million was not the full amount they requested. I am happy that the loan was given to them slowly. So with a request of part 2 does that mean they will use it to stall? They originally asked for 659 million so the remaining 219 certainly is not enough to cause any delays but instead to continue running the country until these guys open the 2010 budget. You see they did 1……2………and 3 but they have not opened the budget! This loan along with an RI would be ideal. There is a full moon coming. Do not be ignorant of what Iraq puts great significance on! Iraq’s oil sales reached 4.3 billion in May and they exported 58.7 million barrels at $73.80 and there is no RI coming? IMO…….do not be ignorant of that. One last thing on the Yuan. As the Yuan increases by slow growth it’s reflection will bounce off the Dong but keep in mind the Dong’s rate of growth will not be slow. One last thing on the IMF. They do not make loans to a country that does not have a government. I told you 1…….2 and 3 were done. They just haven’t opened and released the 2010 budget. That’s why they don’t have CH7. Patience is a virtue Family. Why haven’t they opened the budget? IMO…..still too much to clean up. But it’s getting there! This week they clean up more of M’s mess. This week it’s his electrical mess. Last week it was his bank mess. Intel does not have any mess for next week. When you finish reading my post AQ has something to show you concerning articles to make a point. Please read it. Finally………yesterday on another forum a rumor was born once again that the RI will happen from the 22nd to the 26th. Please stop calling me about this……..it is not my intel. First of all rule out the 25th because they are not going to do anything on a holy day. Rule out the 26th because there is no logic in doing the RI………… on the following day which is a Sunday the first day of their week. It would be more logical to do it on that day. Today is the 22nd ……..and it’s gone. So you are left with the 23rd and 24th. I respect all rumors and intel from all forums. So keep in mind that my team has been telling me that the RI will happen in June. You know what I told them. I DON’T TRUST THE GOI! Interestingly enough there is so much activity that surely points to the RI. In fact I pray that it’s June or July because these bozos are actually going to take the whole month of August off for vacation. LOL ……….ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! Moses never got to touch the Promised Land but he got to see if from a distance. All because he showed anger to a rock. I wish no anger at any child of my Lord. By an indescribable faith I would willingly walk into the furnace with the angels and fear no flame. There would be no benefit allowed to L. I apologize if I showed weakness when a stone was thrown at my wife today. I want to see the Promised Land and I know by Faith that it is coming! So to my friend “B” …………may we stand together on the rock you threw today and not show ANY ANGER for any reason. I love my TINK . May I give you my Christian love? Aloha Family………see you tonight. KTF, Frank Sorry mods, i posted in wrong area

  5. DIVORCE AGREEMENT THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM. Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way. Here is a model separation agreement: Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them. We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood . You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security. We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill. We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find. You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem." I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World". We'll practice trickle down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag. Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years. Sincerely, John J. Wall Law Student and an American P. S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbra Streisand, & Jane Fonda with you. P. S. S. And you won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country.

  6. 20:22:38 [scooter] Good Evening Folks, 20:22:51 [scooter] I hope all is well! I know the waiting game is grueling particularly with the activities occurring in Iraq. However, I’ve been asked to address one issue that is very important to me particular. 20:23:10 [scooter] I wish to make this very clear — When I do these chats I only provide factual information from reliable banking sources and have never quoted my own RATE or DATE!. Perhaps a range but never a specific rate or date. 20:23:32 [scooter] . During my last chat there was a segment regarding the Equilibrium Real Rate of the Dinar and how it was slightly overvalued at the $3.208 rate. I want everyone to know right now that I was speaking directly from the IMF Document and World Bank DPL Documents and referencing the Ministry of P*****ng Website —- it was an analysis, not gospel. 20:23:53 [scooter] I know you know this already but I was asked to re-emphasize that statement several folks interpreted that incorrectly. For that, I apologize if you left the chat with that feeling. 20:24:19 [scooter] OK, Now to the good stuff 20:24:39 [scooter] For the past two nights, I have been digging into the Ministry of Finance website and comparing to the IMF Doc’s and World Bank Documents. 20:25:00 [scooter] This has been grueling and an exercise that I don’t think I want to do again — lol. The Arabic to English Translation tools for multi-tabbed Spreadsheets are weak at best. 20:25:16 [scooter] But we do have some preliminary quotations from the 2010 – 2011 Budget Estimates. We’ll I think we found where that’s coming from. Based on Iraq’s monetary policy they have several ways to affect the liquidity – listed below from their Document 20:34:33 [scooter] http://cbi.iq/documents/monetary_policy_en_f.pdf 20:34:40 [scooter] The first two are the important ones 20:34:55 [scooter] That affect this liquidity — and please 20:35:04 [scooter] remember that iraq is allowed 20:35:12 [scooter] to set their own monetary instruments 20:35:25 [scooter] So the first one 20:35:31 [scooter] that affects us is this 20:35:34 [scooter] • Foreign exchange auctions, in which the CBI buys or sells dollars to the market in light of its policy objectives; 20:35:50 [scooter] Has anybody noticed 20:35:59 [scooter] they stopped their auctions recently 20:36:02 [scooter] hmmmmmm 20:36:24 [scooter] Essentially, what they are doing is squeezing that money supply 20:36:27 [scooter] as tight as possible 20:36:38 [scooter] the less money available — 20:36:47 [scooter] the higher the value of the currency 20:36:51 [scooter] Two 20:37:00 [scooter] A reserve requirement regulation that requires banks to hold in relation to their customers deposits: differentiated levels of deposits with the CBI, vault cash, and MOF securities. 20:37:15 [scooter] Essentially 20:37:23 [scooter] They didn’t take the money or cash 20:37:27 [scooter] from circulation 20:37:48 [scooter] They took it from the deposoits and vault cash — oh 20:37:55 [scooter] yea — the securities 20:38:05 [scooter] I’ll show you in a minute 20:38:12 [scooter] Remember they were going to take 70% or 24.8 Trillion from liquidity , which meant there was 35 Trillion to take from – we thought that was money they were taking from general circulation but in fact it looks like — IMO – it went down like this: 20:38:44 [scooter] Bank Reserves – 17,536 Billion IQD 20:38:48 [scooter] Current Account ID — 14,717 Billion IQD 20:38:59 [scooter] And the Vault Cash 2,819 Billion IQD 20:39:06 [scooter] And that’s not the international reserves 20:39:12 [scooter] those are excess reserves 20:39:32 [scooter] Essentially 35,072 Trillion 20:39:46 [scooter] that’s where the 24.8 Trillion was taken 20:39:48 [scooter] from 20:39:57 [scooter] Crafty folks 20:40:23 [scooter] Unbelievable! But this is very good news for all us 20:40:42 [scooter] Now to the Ministry of Finance info 20:41:05 [scooter] The Ministry of Finance is the gov entitiy working on the RV 20:41:15 [scooter] Remember the CBI is not a government entitity 20:41:21 [scooter] I can’t be 20:41:25 [scooter] nor will it ever be 20:41:38 [scooter] so this week 20:41:42 [scooter] we began digging deep 20:41:53 [scooter] into this site to search for the RV 20:41:58 [scooter] I’m sad to say 20:42:06 [scooter] that I don’t have all the information 20:42:19 [scooter] It’s a collosal amount number one 20:42:29 [scooter] but 20:42:36 [scooter] I will have a full report for the next 20:42:38 [scooter] chat 20:42:42 [scooter] in the meantime 20:42:55 [scooter] I did manage to capture some segments to share 20:43:15 [scooter] In the following 20:43:17 [scooter] quotes 20:43:31 [scooter] the Finance Minister is talking from the 2011 budget 20:43:39 [scooter] or 2010 – 2011 budget 20:43:48 [scooter] Here’s some quotes 20:43:57 [scooter] And 20:44:11 [scooter] he’s talking about the whole economic reform policy 20:44:27 [scooter] To achieve the policy objectives of economic reform has to be the transfer of the government administration in the framework of providing services to the supervision and control, organization and this opportunity that will contribute to strengthening the role of the private sector and strengthen the financial and banking system and strengthen the role of government institutions and increase their efficiency through the establishment and implementation of an appropriate framework for regulation of activity Economic and rule of law. 20:44:45 [scooter] I know — long sentence 20:44:55 [scooter] In this regard, it should be noted that the private sector has a role basis, the diversity of the economy and that Maittalb events of institutional changes and legal environment, that any policy reform stems from the philosophy of the efficiency of the market mechanism and to maximize the pros when the pricing mechanism is working properly price is determine the effectiveness of various economic sectors such as trade both its internal and external, and all factors of production, can activate the role of the market economy as an important tool for the right policy through the following: 20:45:28 [scooter] The translation didn’t come over as well as it should 20:45:44 [scooter] But he’s hitting upon Price all over the place 20:45:54 [scooter] here’s some small excerpts 20:46:07 [scooter]  Financial sector reform and allow the free exercise of the banking and restructuring of State-owned banks. 20:46:18 [scooter]  Reform pricing mechanism and remove all administrative prices and reduce the size of support. 20:46:35 [scooter] Monetary reforms through the use of all means contribute to reducing inflation. 20:46:50 [scooter] Labor market reform 20:46:55 [scooter] This one doesn’t look like much 20:46:59 [scooter] but it’s critical 20:47:11 [scooter] Because in their spreadsheets 20:47:21 [scooter] they do show the relationship with the RV 20:47:28 [scooter] in terms of increased wages 20:47:34 [scooter] to the government workers 20:47:44 [scooter] Will report more on that next chat 20:47:59 [scooter]  An increase in gross domestic product 20:48:10 [scooter] One of the best 20:48:15 [scooter] methods to do this 20:48:26 [scooter] is increase the value of their currency 20:48:43 [scooter] Now — Iraq 20:48:58 [scooter] will be moving from a “crawling peg” 20:49:06 [scooter] to a managed Float 20:49:10 [scooter] And the reason is 20:49:17 [scooter] is that they are still an 20:49:25 [scooter] emerging or devleoping 20:49:38 [scooter] the economic swings 20:49:46 [scooter] hence — for the next three years 20:49:53 [scooter] they will be under a managed float 20:50:13 [scooter] So essentially, that is all I have to report tonight 20:50:20 [scooter] I have a suspicion 20:50:42 [scooter] We’ll begin uncovering where that RV is 20:50:50 [scooter] in the meantime Good info and what seems like a LOT of work on your part. Thanks Scooter!

  10. Religious authority, Ayatollah Najafi calls for France to take real situations to remove Iraq from Chapter VII 23/06/2010 Baghdad _ Centre Bri (Upper House) French Ambassador visited religious references in Iraq, Ayatollah Muhammad Said al-Hakim and Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi, and the transfer of a verbal message from President Sarkozy of France commends the position of reference of the political process in Iraq. A spokesman for the reference Najafi Sheikh Ali Najafi, told a news briefing: that the French Ambassador Boris Bwalun met the religious leader Bashir al-Najafi and conveyed during the meeting, a verbal message from President Nicolas Sarkozy on the important role of reference in the stability of the political situation in Iraq, which also included a tribute to support Shiite the political process in the country during the last period. For his part, al-Najafi, the reference positions of France in support of the former Baathist regime in that period, and asked her to take real situations to get out of Iraq subject to Chapter VII, described the French position at the moment Baltjarip. Spokesman was quoted as reference for Bwalun Najafi, saying that he will carry the views of the reference to French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

  12. I cannot speak to the rumor by sonny1 as that is his intel. I have faith in sonny1 though. So we will see how it pans out. If it does not pan out he unlike some others will be in here to explain as soon as he finds out why. To me thats fair enough. The currency of course as non-tradeable keeps the company from realizing it's profit by a couple of things. 1. The money could be paid in IQD if the company was will to accept it. The problem is no bank in the world can deposit IQD in any accounts as it is not recognized as a valid currency. As a side note I don't believe it serves the CBI to allow payment in IQD if there is a concerted effort to reduce the outstanding liquidity of the IQD as a policy. Payments that large would just increase the money supply pre RV and that would be counter productive for them as they would have to cover those huge amounts post RV. 2. Under the present system that you or I buy IQD or sell IQD there is a premium. Dinar Trade always makes a spread or if you will a profit on buy and sell transactions. If the company was willing to lose a percentage of their profit to a currency trader then I guess technically it could be done. However when you are dealing in billions then a percentage off the companies profit margin is likely not acceptable. Could they use dollars to pay? I personally do not see why the GOI couldn't pay in dollars or Euros. That I cannot answer. The only thing I can even think of is that if the bill is in billions then that would greatly reduce the amount of foreign currency they need to hold in their reserves as part of the monetary policy of CBI as it relates to all the plans for the eventual return to the global market. However that is only a guess on my part so take it for what it's worth. JMO only. Refer to the recent chat from Ali and he states that right now you can only deposit your dinar in an Iraqi bank,(namely his) at this time as his bank is an Iraqi bank. United Bank Iraq. However the bank is not totally ready as it is always the molasses of the camels butt to get paper work done in Iraq. .... But there are other banks. There actually maybe more reasons but the two I gave you are enough to prohibit taking IQD for payment. Thus, "we want our money in dollars if we gonna fix the lights!!" Hoped that helped.

  13. You are right and also if I understood Sonny right the Company would not start work because of the value of the dinar, and if the dinar doesn't increase by the 26th this major Company will pull out of Iraq, and Iraq doesn't want that to happen..

  16. I am sharing this even though I've heard so many bank rumors through the years that never panned out.. Put this one got my attention..... My uncle holds a small amount of dinars but many in his church(Pentecostal) hold millions of dollars of dinars.......This church has some of the wealthist members of any church in this small east Texas area. Our area in Center ,TX. is sitting on the largest gas formation in US history called the Haynesville Shale....So people became million aires overnight many multi millionaires( most were just old farmers) I was talking to my uncle the other day about some mineral interest our family is involved in. He informed me about one of their church memebers is best friends with a banker employed by Chase Bank and one his top clients is a doctor...Now this where the story gets hard to believe but the banker got a call from this doctor who is a good friend wih **** Cheney(and it just so happpens I am a Cheney hater..I'm a democrat and one of the few in Texas) Cheney passes along to his doctor friend the Rv will hit this past weekend(already past) or this coming weekend. Like I said I have heard so many bank rumors over the past few years but theses Pentecostal religious people are a close knit group and I hope they have no reason to lie.......but who knows....they may have a pumper in their congregation but I can guarantee you I am not I have been preaching do not buy anything to help these trading companies for the last year.....I don't want to see these companies make another dime off the American public.......I did not get the location of the Chase bank involved I was so excited but maybe some of our experts can look into this rumor......I would not be that excited but coming from this religious group makes me wonder.......If anyone of our gurus on this site can investigate it might be worth it......I'm just a average joe but an excited average joe!!!!!!!! Thanks for any help!!!

  18. Published: June 23, 2010 at 12:45 PM .Share BAGHDAD , June 23 (UPI) -- There is no legitimate reason why Iyad Allawi cannot be appointed the next prime minister of Iraq, a member of his Iraqiya slate announced. Allawi, a former interim prime minister, led his secular Iraqiya slate to a narrow victory in March 7 elections, though none of the coalitions on the ballot secured the majority needed to unilaterally form a new government. Members of the Iraqiya list had several meetings with rivals in the State of Law slate of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to form a new government. A grand Shiite bloc formed by State of Law and the Iraqi National Alliance, meanwhile, is four seats short of the 163-seat majority. None of the parties has agreed on a candidate for prime minister, however. Osama al-Nujaifi, a leading figure in Iraqiya, told the Iraqi analytical Web site Niqash that Maliki offered his party whatever it wanted in exchange for the top position in the government. "We have said that post is ours as the winning list," he said. On the so-called grand Shiite National Alliance, Nujaifi said the slate was illegal and existed only in the media. He said that apart from deep divisions within the alliance, the coalition was illegal because it was announced after the election. "There are deep differences between the two parties and we believe that they will be unable to agree on certain policy issues and on a joint choice for the post of prime minister," he said. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/Special/2010/06/23/No-reason-Allawi-not-PM-leaders-say/UPI-17571277311555/

  19. Here we have a regional government accusing Maliki of stealing money out of the budget. This isn't the first time. What does it take for the government to say enough is enough and take action against a man who has clearly done whatever he can to consolidate his position and in effect has become a de facto dictator. The worst kept secret in Iraq is that Maliki is THE dictator. My question is why has the current administration presided over this and why hasn't our government done anything but stand to the side and say we cannot influence the situation? We have to let the Iraqis figure it all out on their own? That would be fine normally but this guy has the military and the ministries in his back pocket and in effect if anybody opposes him they stand a good chance of waking up DEAD. DV is not a bunch of casual observers and more people than myself can see what is going on in Iraq. Again my question is why has my government let this go on and why has it abdicated it's responsibility to Iraq and it's responsibility to the citizens of the United States by letting all the sacrifices we and the Iraqi people have made go to H*ll. The sacrifices of the men and women of our armed forces not the least withstanding. The UN is part of that abdication of responsibility as well and for the life of me I cannot understand why all of this BS by Maliki has been allowed to occur. For Pete's sake they print it in the newspapers. I realize you can't believe everything you read in the papers but report after report keeps coming out about Maliki's corruption and yet all our government can say is we can't interfere and we are leaving in August and JOB WELL DONE. BS............sorry for the rant. I have personally paid to high a price to see this all lost to a friggin dictator our government placed in power. Between this administration and the last administration it's become a cluster@7#*!!!

  20. Dear Customer As always, we like to keep you apprised of important news regarding your Iraqi dinars and the economic situation in Iraq. First, allow us to quell a rampant rumor that suggests a change in Iraqi currency is imminent. A new currency with three zeros dropped has been discussed and kicked around the Iraqi parliament for nearly 4 years now. No such alterations have ever been adopted. A spokesman from the Central Bank of Iraq made an announcement last month stating that, if these changes ever do take place, they are still a minimum of 2 years away. In fact, also last month, Abdul Hadi, Vice President of Trade Bank of Iraq, has suggested that the exchange rate of the dinar will begin an incremental, and gradual rise very soon. As long as we still have your current email address, no major changes will occur without you knowing about it. Please beware of the rumor mill. Secondly, we found it noteworthy that renowned economist Nouriel Roubini strongly recommends holding cash, paying special attention to countries with low debt, as a safe haven from stocks and commodities that he, and others, say are likely to take a big hit very soon. Roubini is well known for being an extremely accurate economic prognosticator. The Iraqi dinar seems well suited to his recommendations, as it has remained relatively unaffected by the tailspin other major currencies are experiencing. Iraq is nearly debt free, and the economy continues its boom. Iraq's economy is expected to grow by approximately 7% in 2010, 7.9% in 2011 and at similar rates for the next few years. This is above the average projected growth for the Middle East. Read more about Roubini's recommendations on CNBC. Read more about the significant growth predicted for Kurdistan banking and financial services from the Global Arab Network. We've always believed in Iraq and the dinar, even when it seemed much of the financial world was mocking us. Now, we're into our seventh year of dinar sales, and no one mocks us anymore. As the world searches for the best places to protect their wealth in this tumultuous period, we believe the time is coming soon that you will be very glad you had the foresight to hold that bundle of red money you've tucked away in your drawer. Thanks again for your past patronage. 22. This looks promising ... kox's point is well taken ... we hate to assume (because of what happens when you do) ... but this meeting seems to (IMO) presuppose or take for granted that they would already have a viable currency. I mean what's the point unless you do ... GE and Siemens don't have payment for the $3.9 Billion owed them ... it APPEARS that China has quit drilling until the Iraqis RI/RV ... starting a new project like this when they are currently having rolling power outages ... nah, I'm sticking with this presupposes RI/RV and that this is excellent news Peace Doc

  24. Thanks for posting this josephj792. It's interesting that this statement - "In fact, also last month, Abdul Hadi, Vice President of Trade Bank of Iraq, has suggested that the exchange rate of the dinar will begin an incremental, and gradual rise very soon" - seems to be in direct opposition to Groovgal's belief that they won't do an incremental and gradual rise but instead come out with a rate that is very close to the rate they want it to remain. GG's rationale makes more sense to me (plus I just hope it's true!) Also, don't forget that for the ISX to go international - which it's slated to by October 31 - it needs to have a tradeable currency. If the dinar RV's low the speculators will pounce on it which will lead to high inflation which the CBI wants to avoid. IMO the comment from Hadi may have been smoke and mirrors or some type of trial balloon. I hope so anyway.

If a majority of the States stand against him we will get some answers. By the way he admitted to the Egyption Pres he was indeed MUSLIM and dedicated to the Muslim agenda.

  29. Jigga, Currency exchange for an increase in net aggregate wealth DOES constitute a capital gain ...... IF ...... it is accrued in the course of a "trade or business." If it is not, then it is NOT a capital gain. You see, you have been led to believe that the exchange of the currency itself is the "trade or business" when it is not. The currency exchange is just that .... a currency exchange. But if it is done IN THE COURSE of a "trade or business," then it is taxable because the "trade or business" is the excise taxable activity. The term "trade or business" is defined as the performance of the functions of public office. If a Congressman uses public money, and trades currency for profit, then there is a capital gain. Why? Because he did this in the course of his "trade or business," (public office). If the Congressman uses his own money in a private-sector capacity, and he is domiciled in a Union state (which they all are), then he is a "nonresident alien" for the purposes of the tax, and the currency trade is NOT "effectively connected with the conduct of a trade or business within the United States." It is therefore NOT taxable. Let me give you a more colorful analogy: Intercourse with my wife can mean different things for different people. 1. If I have intercourse with my wife, there is no problem. Comparison: "nonresident alien" not engaged in a "trade or business." 2. If you or anyone else has intercourse with my wife, it is rape. Her consent not withhstanding. Comparison" "U.S. person" PRESUMED to be engaged in a "trade or business" by virtue of the presence of a SSN/ITIN in association with said activity. Do you see the difference? The activity is the same -- intercourse with my wife. But it depends who does it, and why. The ramifications of which have very different outcomes. The same thing goes for the currency trade. 99.99% believe that the currency trade itself is a taxable activity. It is NOT!! However, if the exchange is done in the course of a "trade or business," it becomes a taxable capital gain. Go ahead and ask yourself this question: Why would they define the term "trade or business" to include the performance of the functions of public office? Do you think that 99.9% of Americans think that exchanging currency, building houses, tossing pizza dough, or fixing cars constitutes a "trade or business?" Of course they do? What's more ...... 99.9% of Americans proudly (yet ignorantly) proclaim they are a "citizen" of the "United States" for the purposes of the Federal Income Tax. This proclamation MANDATES the use of the SSN/ITIN, which then imports the PRESUMPTION that you are engaged in a "trade or business." The "trade or business" is taxable gain accrued from activity as an officer/"employee" of the "United States" (Government). However, 99.9% have no idea that the tax is an indirect excise, and think it is therefore a tax on whatever money they earn in the course of their God-given, blessed, American life. Folks ..... wake up!!! I cannot present this too you any more clearly! It's straight-forward, but many of you refuse to recognize how the whole system works to encumber you into its jaws!!!

Deep differences plaguing the alliance coalitions National Alliance is next week, an internal vote to select a candidate as prime minister Iraq News | 23-06-2010 Baghdad / Orr News Political sources familiar with the National Alliance is heading next week to hold an internal vote to select one candidate from among three candidates to head the government, while the talks, the political blocs to agree on the benefits the post-election proceeding slowly, despite ten days on the convening of a parliament session that was kept open. He said that it was difficult to choose a National Alliance candidate for prime minister and rejected by the political blocs, adding that the formation of the government needs to agree in the views of all parties. According to political sources, the "National Alliance" which includes "National Coalition" and the "coalition of the state of law", passed severe crisis may lead to collapse, because of the insistence of both parties on the candidate for prime minister. She said that the Prime Minister's outgoing Nuri al-Maliki "before withdrawing his nomination, the requirement of consent by the National Coalition another candidate from Dawa specifically be the only candidate of the National Alliance, and view-Maliki, a leader of the Dawa Party, Haider Abadi, a candidate coalition rule of law it is obligatory to reject al-Sadr and the parties Other National Coalition. " The best-Maliki allies in the national coalition between the be the or one of the leaders of the Dawa party alliance's choice to head the government, and the withdrawal of coalition rule of law from this alliance, the sources noted in this regard to Maliki's comments offensive on Tuesday, about to give other concessions to the rule of law and not vice versa , according to the electoral benefit. The sources confirmed that "al-Maliki refused to make any compromise candidate or candidates view the coalitions (it is about" the rule of law ", and Adel Abdul Mahdi, and Ibrahim al-Jaafari for" National Coalition ") on the other blocks to vote for them." According to Deputy Muhammad Mahdi al-Bayati, leader of the National Alliance, "the alliance to consider submitting a compromise candidate so as not to miss the chance to form a government." And detection al-Bayati, a leader also in the "Badr Organization", the leader of the "Islamic Supreme Council of Ammar al-Hakim made a proposal if taken by the coalition, there is no need to provide a compromise candidate." He told "life" that "the proposal is to hold an informal meeting of the parliament and introduced the three candidates (Maliki and Mahdi, al-Jaafari), and to make MPs choose one of them by direct secret ballot, and who gets the most votes be the nominee for prime minister," adding that this vote will not include Allawi, "and would be only for candidates of the National Alliance, as it has the biggest number of parliamentary seats." However, the sources pointed out that "al-Maliki rejected the proposal altogether, the cause of sharp disagreement between coalitions and a verbal argument between the Supreme Council and Sadr on the one hand, and the Dawa Party, on the other, which led to the suspension of meetings and conversations between them." It is believed Kiedio state law that show the Sadrists great flexibility in accepting the nomination of Adel Abdul Mahdi as prime minister and make the alliance's candidate only national, the objective of delivering the message that the National Coalition does not need a coalition of law and that he can form a government involving Iraqi Kurds, particularly the Mahdi accepted by these two blocs. 36. Iraqi government to continue dealing with the IMF Tuesday, June 22nd 2010 4:13 PM Baghdad, June 22 (AKnews) - Iraq's government has decided to continue dealing with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in a deal to benefit from the expertise of the IMF in the field of monetary policy, a financial adviser to the outgoing Iraqi government said Tuesday. "The government has decided to continue its economic relations with the IMF after Iraq ended all its commitment to Paris Club and the Stand By Arrangement (SBA) from the IMF in 2007," the adviser who preferred not to be named said. The government believes that there is a need for continued coordination between Iraq and the IMF to support its economy especially in the next period, and specifically in relation to the subject of public and economic policies that develop the financial situation in the country, he added. "The government's efforts aim at developing the Iraqi economy to conform to the nature of the global economy, "particularly the countries that were not subjected to economic crisis in Iraq." the advisor noted. He said Iraq needed more than 20 years to jump-start its economy due to the accumulation of economic problems. Iraq had ended in December 2008 its obligations of the SBA it had signed with the IMF in December 2007. The first revision of the SBA loan will be done during the second week of July 2010 and as soon as the review has been successful, Iraq could get the second installment of the loan amounting to $695 millions. Iraq has received the first part of the loan , about $440 million. rn/ry AKnews http://www.aknews.com/en/aknews/2/157503/

  37. Most likely a slow and gradual rise so that they can control any inflation or any other issues that may arrive....you see how long they have been studying this issue and they dont want to raise inflation to high rates at any cost....could be a jump to a low exchange rate and then let market and oil drive it up slowly....bottom line is they could come out at whatever they want....they could come low and take it slow or they could come high if they feel they could control the inflation.....an no a low RV rate wont have big invesors eating up Iraq....all that is rubbish....the biggest investors are in this now...they are the ones that have 100 mil dinar and more! You think a crap ton of people are going to buy up that much dinar at a rate of lets say 20 cents? dont think so....how many of you would have the millions you have if it were 20 cents to the dollar? I know i wouldnt.....so the notion that speculators will buy up ALL the currency is laughable....we are those speculators....and the amount of people that actually might have a couple of million dollars that they would be willing to blow on dinar is such a small percentile that they would never be able to buy up as much dinar as we have bought in total now......

  39. Here is Enorrste's response on another site to two people who were frustrated with Terry K's announcement: Robert and Ironman; You both express reservations based on supposed events that MUST happen prior to an RV. While I think that in an ideal world it would be nice for everything to be "tidied up", so to speak, I've come to the conclusion that the forces that are behind this RV are larger than specific events in Iraq (getting the government up and running) or elsewhere (Chapter 7, for instance). It is my opinion that this will happen before the end of the month, regardless of the governmental outcome. I don't say this just to "chime in" on TKs intel. I have no knowledge of his intel. But I have heard similar things from other "intel" However, my biggest argument for an RV this week is essentially drawn from logic. Here is how I see it: Al-Sistani has basically put the "fear of Allah" into he minds of the key players. - Maliki has dropped out of the picture (have you heard from him in the last 2 weeks) - Allawi has formed a coalition with the Kurds - The NA has been formed, joining the two Shia factions TODAY the NA put out feelers to the Kurd/Iraqiya coalition requesting the creation of a new "super coalition" of all four parties. I believe that this action is in response to Al-Sistani primarily, but the influence from the UN and US must be a part of the equation. Therefore, based on this more and more rapid movement I feel comfortable in predicting that parliament will meet this week, probably by Wednesday. At that session the new super coalition will be "announced" and the candidates for the four key positions will be "announced" as well. For PM it will be either Allawi or Mahdi, IMO. Talabani and Jafaari will take presidency positions. It is possible that Allawi and Mahdi will somehow "share" the head of government, with one taking the PM slot for 2 years and then the other, with a President of the Republic being the other. Then they would switch after two years. Another more plausible option is that the PM slot will have powers moved over to the President of the Republic slot so that the two are essentially equal. This has been discusssed openly already, so it is likely to occur. In any case, it is highly possible and actually likely that this will come together this very week (remember Sistani is standing in the wings ready to act). The RV will, IMO, come into the picture as the first act of business, along with the passing of the long overdue budget, which has right in it that Iraq can afford $3.22. This is all consistent with TKs intel from this afternoon, incidentally. He added one important factor, however, and that is that Shabibi is also waiting in the wings, ready to act in the off chance that the "players" can't get their acts together. Therefore, Robert and Ironman, while I believe that the government WILL come together, answering a portion of your concerns, I also believe that Shabibi COULD come to the fore and do it himself by the end of the month, begin driven himself by the IMF and the need to start the new physcal year off with a newly RVd currency. Of course, I could be wrong. LOL Steve

  45. yes it might sound that way, and my Captain I think is on DD, but the information from the High Ranking Individual working in the Military Finance office is not a part of anybody's intel but my Captain's. That's the main concern, that information came from a totally different source of "Boots on Ground". I'll have to get a different boat for the fishing Bumper, which got my eye on one of those as well. This boat is a Sunreef Power Yacht 70' footer, Catamaran, it's an amazing boat. www.sunreef.com, look for the red and silver one...that's the puppy I want! That way I can buzz past ole Chip Chandler when the wind is dead...lol Sorry Chip, couldn't resist! I'll stop and pick ya up for a ride though! I definitely intend on doing the island hopping in it. Top speed of 30knots with the ultimate in comfort and even a jacuzzi on board. Bumper you may have to take me fishing as long as it'll take to build it..lol 1 yr on special orders. Thanks all, and GO RV!!! God Bless!

  49. Just out of curiosity...where did you get your dinars? My guess is the currency trading company. What do you care if they make some money. Thats why they went into business. If the rv works out...I suggest you go kiss thier feet and give them a big tip. Why is everybody afraid someone is going to make some money off them. That is how our country works. (used to work...before everything was made in China) Anyway...I appreciated your post and I know it's a rumor but if anyone would know...and have their hands in someone's pocket...it would be Cheny or Rumsfeld. Thanks again.
