  1. Finally got the pics, but can't attach them because the file is too big. Send me a message and I'll email the pic. They appear to be the same as http://www.islamicbanknotes.com/Notes/Iraq/IQ-14-1a.htm
  2. I don't recognize any of them, but I haven't looked at mine in over a year. I will try to have pics posted by the middle of next week
  3. I am in Afganistan and right now my wife is out out of town. When she gets back, I will ask her to scan a couple of bills and send them to me. Then I will post them under the same topic. Look for them in about a week.
  4. My last post hiccupped and didn't post, but for what it's worth, I have some 1 (ONE) Dinar notes that I obtained from a US Military Finance Office in Iraq in 2010. They appear to be uncirculated. I also have numerous 500s, 250s and 50s. The 500s and 250s are well worn and many were taped. Most of them came from the Tallil Branch of Warka Bank. Apparently the smaller denominations have in fact been printed, but the 1s that I have in my gun safe are the only ones that I have seen or heard of.
  5. When I was in working in Iraq, we were able to purchase IQD at the finance office of the US Military. At that time I acquired a number of 1 Dinar Notes. This was probably in late 2009 or 2010. Later on I purchased a quantity of 50s at the local Warka Bank. The 1s are the only thing that I have seen smaller than a 50, but I KNOW that they have been printed.
  6. It seems to me that one could fly directly from Kuwait to Belize with cash in pocket/luggage, with no one the wiser. Is there a flaw in this reasonong. I would appreciate comments.
  7. It would seem to me that if a person could obtain the smaller denomination bills (50, 250, 500 and 1k) and hold them until the IQD is openly traded on the market that it would be simple to exchange them in small amounts at any foreign exchange with no record of the transaction. Obviously this won't work for large amounts. I would welcome any input on this. I have access to a Warka Bank on a military base in Iraq and it is not easy to get the smaller denominations here as many of them are torn, tattered and scotch taped. I'm sure that there is a way to acquire better quality or new bills.
  8. Thanks to all for the questions and detailed answers. I've been in VIP for quite a while but haven't used all the forums, etc. It can be confusing for us FNGs.
