  1. Rudaw writes 'around $280m' received and 'expect another $200m within days' This does not, of course, add up to $500m - maybe there was a $20m handling fee by some chap at the souk? And 'within days' could be any indeterminate time. It's all very hand to mouth and vague as usual. But keep applauding!
  2. Stupid people don't understand irony. I feel sorry for you, but I will pray for your souls

  7. Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani is planned to make a visit to to attend in an energy conference. According to KRG Spokesman Safin Dezaee, Barzani, leading a high-rank delegation, will head to Turkey in the coming days to participate in the gathering. The visit comes days after Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu paid a visit to Erbil, the capital of the Kurdish region, and met Barzani and KurdiStan Region's President Massoud Barzani. The Kurdish delegation would also meet Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdulmahdi on the side line of the conference. The gathering is to discuss oil and gas disputes between Baghdad and Erbil and it is very likely a draft agreement to be finalized by the two Iraqi sides, NRT reported. Dezaee went on to say that Barzani and his delegation would make a visit to Baghdad after returning from Turkey in order to solve the differences that Erbil and Baghdad could not overcome in former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government. 10. The translation is pretty bad and it is very difficult to understand what is his point. Maliki, Shahristani and Jaarafi are of the same corrn and should be dismissed
  11. Interesting! Sistani, Abadi, Maliki, Jaafari, etc. all say Iraq doesn't want new american boots on the ground. Iranian boots is however ok. But it seems as Obama has the last say...
