Well, you can't see what does not exist. JMO -

Thanks. Sometimes, I think I read too much of these postings to keep a clear mind.

The date on this is 7/8/10. I think it is a little OLD! Especially in the currency market. The government was not even formed at this time. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I have always been lead to believe that when you cash out the Dinar after RV, it will only be electronic. The banks will not be handing out moutains of cash to all of us. So, I doubt that the RV would cause any bank to have to increase their cash on hand. Especially at the branches. Must be some other reason.

I see 1178.5 to the dollar. Nothing new here.
-
I still say, if the Iraqi citizen is lucky enough to have 1,000 Dinar the day before the RV, they will have only 1,000 Dinar the day after the RV. The value of the money in their possession will not change. Only the purchasing power internationally. Am I wrong? Someone correct me if I am. Maybe I do not understand my investment as much as I thought!

Right now, the rate is 1 IQD=.00085 For the rate to be $5 + , it would have to be .20#### Someone mentioned .02### That rate would be very disappointing. -
I our dollar revalued today, my $1,000 in savings would be worth $1,000. The only ones getting rich are the outsiders that bought and held at a lower rate. I would eventually benefit from lower prices, maybe, but my total dollars in the bank would not change. Right?? Maybe I am missing something.

Do you?

Not sure that the SDR has anything to do with Iraq's exchange rate. Have read a little about it , but I think it is a totally different animal. Anyone else know?

So, would that not be that I would divide 100 by .09 and I get 1,111 per dollar? That is worse that the 1070 we have now!! Maybe my math is wrong.
