I can't know but I do think they drop the zeros from the bank account balances internally. They drop the zeros from the prices internally. They drop the zeros from the salaries internally. I think that is why they have to educate the people that they would be exchanging a 25k note for a new 25 note but still having more buying power. Right now a 25k note has the buying power of $20. After a reval, the 25k would become a 25 note with the buying power of $25 inside Iraq. Outside the country the 25k would become $25,000. The people inside the country would benefit but not become millionaires.

Imagine there are 3 people; "Person A", "Person B" and "Person C." "Person A" is an American with a 25000 dinar note in his pocket. "Person B" is an Iraqi citizen with a 25000 dinar note in an Iraqi bank. "Person C" is an American with a 25000 dinar note in Warka Bank. The Iraqi Dinar revalues at 1 to 1 with the US dollar. Person A would take his 25k dinar to an American Bank and get $25,000. "Person B" would now have 25 dinar in the bank but it has greater purchasing power in Iraq. I think "Person C" would also have 25 dinar in Warka. And when he withdrew it to America he would have $25. Am I right on this or am I missing something?
