Ive been searching for any news or articles relating to the Iraqi borders being closed today? has anybody seen any info to authenticate this rumor?

This is at least the eighth time the borders have been closed in the last 3 years for the RV.

This was pure GARBAGE (as usual) about the borders being closed! What kind of Lunatics ARE these people???

Just like their 100% MADE-UP fabrications before 31 December! Anyone seen any of these reported TERRIBLE sanctions supposed to have been imposed on Iraq if they didn't RV by December 31st??? NO!

Anyone seen the so-called "PARIS-CLUB" reimpose penalties as was reported by the string of GARBAGE GURU's??? SAME GURU's who have been reporting, "IT'S DONE. . . .IT'S DONE!!" and "BY THE END OF TODAY YOU'LL SEE IT."

SURELY whoever keeps bringing this JUNK, GARBAGE onto this site and reporting their VOMIT and then claim it to be RUMOR can by NOW tell it is NO MORE A RUMOR than someone going into a crowded theater and INTENTIONALLY and FALSLY shouting, "FIRE." That is NOT a RUMOR and it no longer belongs here!

I would like to just inject a smal thought here--borders being closed is what I am refering to---literally that would mean no one in or out, it could also mean no goods in or out---now my point it could also mean NO DINAR out of the country!
Why I tend to think this way is if there was a "major event " about to happen why would they want the currency - iraqi dinar to be sent out of the country---I have read numerous posts that people purchasing Dinar are receiving it from Jordan---For some reason alot of the the banks and some dealers have stopped selling it-troops not to bring it home-whatever that is---ImO this is just aanother form of drying up supply of dinar and limiting what is out there to cash in--While most feel the dinar spectulators are not significant --I contend that every aspect of stopping , recalling and discourging buying holding the dinar is being pushed --even if they just stop a meger 25000 bill from going outside the country or having them turned in to the CBI it just makes them better--this is to big not to also address the little things and it seems to be a majority opinion from members, gurus, phyics---astro projectionist, tea leave readers---that SHABBS is not idiot!

There is a travel issue that was originally for just the 6th and 7th and I believe has extended to the 9th January. It has something to do with closing the roadways internally for a pilgrimage I was told. I also have a man on R&R who was sent an e-mail informing him his trip back was delayed. He called me this morning.They are not issuing visas for now either. This has nothing to with sanctions but is an internal decision by Iraq. They have denied access to Triple Canopy (Security Contractor) thru the checkpoints so convoys and escorts are at a standstill. We are still flying via DoS helos intra- Iraq though but no travel going out or coming in for a few days.This is temporary.

Yes! They're closing the Borders stores because they sell too many books with the Western alphabet in them. Furthermore, since the RV hasn't happened yet there isn't as much disposable income to purchase MAD magazine, Atari World, Field & Stream, Joan Collins and Steven King novels, etc., which they love. Plus it seems one of the GOI thought the Alfred E. Neuman on the cover of MAD was a caricature of himself, so he ordered them all closed.

The borders are closed...I just saw a television show called "Border Patrol" on television every week. They use helicopters and 4X4 vehicles to catchem crossing.LOL

I just read somewhere that they meant no dinar in or out in regards to the closing.

Not that people cant get in or out; just dinars.

There have been delays but they are due to visa issues unrelated to the RV.
