God's Amazing Accuracy

Fascinating, I've never given most of this a thought!!!!

God's accuracy may be observed in the

hatching of eggs.

For example:

-the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;

-those of the canary in 14 days;

-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;

-The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;

-those of the mallard in 35 days;

-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich

hatch in 42 days.

(Notice, they are all divisible by seven,

the number of days in a week!)

God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant...

The four legs of this great beast all bend forward

in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made.

God planned that this animal would have a

huge body, too large to live on two legs...

For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it

can rise from the ground easily.

The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first.

A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first.

How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation!

God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of

sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains.

-Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.

-Each orange has an even number of segments.

-Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.

-Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.

-Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the

next row an odd number.

-The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six to the minute in all kinds of weather.

All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks,

and the Lord specified thirty fold, sixty fold,

and a hundred fold - all even numbers.

God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the rightkind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!

The lives of each of you may be ordered by the Lord in a beautiful way for His glory, if you will only entrust Him with your life. If you try to regulate your own life, it will only be a mess and a failure.

Only the One Who made the brain and the heart

can successfully guide them to a profitable end.

that is all around us was created by a big kaboom and then a one celled

genius like themselves crawled out a swampy muck and decided with utter brillence to divide itself into every kind of life form! :rolleyes:

I am still amazed at the wonder of God in creation. His organization, skill, and unity of all that He does is wonderful and good.

Since you shared the information, it reminded me of something that I present to individuals to show them the wonders of God that are all around us, but for the most part go unnoticed.

It is exhibited in a multitude of shapes, patterns, and numbers whose relationship can only to the result of the omnipotent, good, and all-knowing God. There is a “divine proportion” that exists in the smallest to the largest portion of creation, revealing the awesome handiwork of the Creator.

It’s really quite amazing to realize that biologists universally recognize the design of living things. Oxford biologist and atheist Richard Dawkins said on page one of his book The Blind Watchmaker: “Biology is the study of complicated things that give the appearance of having been designed for a purpose.” Now notice he said, “give the appearance of having been designed for a purpose.” Living things certainly look designed, but according to Dawkins, it’s an illusion. He spends the rest of his book trying to show how mutation and natural selection, the “blind watchmaker,” has created this illusion. But he does admit things look designed. Well, if it looks designed, maybe it is.

If we apply the tools of forensic science to an examination of information we have at hand, maybe we can analyze its collective meaning.

In mathematics there are numbers that are in a sequence and are named after Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci. Fibonacci detailed his findings in a book, Liber Abaci, written in A.D. 1202 where he introduced the sequence to Western European mathematics, although the sequence had been previously explored in the mathematics of India.

These numbers are part of the Fibonacci numbering sequence that states that each succeeding number is the sum of the two preceding numbers. The sequence of these numbers is 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, continuing ad infinitum. When the smaller number of this pattern is divided into the larger number adjacent to it, the ratio will be approximately 1.618; if the larger one adjacent to it divides the smaller number, the ratio is very close to 0.618. This numbering pattern reveals itself in various ways throughout nature where man is not involved. For example, it is the spiral commonly seen in shells. Take a look at the spiral in the chambered nautilus and you will see that as it gets larger, it retains its identical form.

Since the body of the organism grows in the path of a spiral that is equiangular and logarithmic, its form never changes. The beauty of this form is commonly called the “golden spiral.”

When we realize that the information to produce these spirals and numbers in living things is stored in the DNA, should we then be surprised to find that the DNA molecule is 21 angstroms in width and the length of one full turn in its spiral is 34 angstroms, both Fibonacci numbers? The DNA molecule is literally one long stack of golden rectangles. (Marl Wahl, A Mathematical Mystery Tour, Zephry Press, Tucson, AZ. 1988, p. 128.)

For another example, take a look at the sunflower. “There are two sets of spiral rows spiraling in opposite directions. When the seeds are counted in each direction, the overwhelming majority of the cases, their numbers will be of the following ratio: small ones, 34 and 55; medium ones, 55 and 89; large ones, 89 and 144.” (Fred Wilson, Extension Specialist in Science Education).

Another area of great interest is the occurrence of Fibonacci numbers in the spiral arrangement of leaves around a plant’s stem (called phyllotaxis). This spiral pattern is observed by viewing the stem from directly above, and noting the arc of the stem form one leaf base to the next, and the fraction of the stem circumference which is inscribed. In each case the numbers are Fibonacci numbers. Why did God arrange them this way? This pattern assures that each leaf will receive its maximum exposure to sunlight and air without shading or crowding other leaves.

This spiral is visible in things as diverse as: hurricanes, spiral seeds, the cochlea of the human ear, ram’s horn, sea-horse tail, growing fern leaves, DNA molecule, waves breaking on the beach, tornadoes, galaxies, the tail of a comet as it winds around the sun, whirlpools, seed patterns of sunflowers, daisies, dandelions, and in the construction of the ears of most mammals. This spiral follows a precise mathematical pattern.

Their symmetry, beauty, and mathematical preciseness are evident in every aspect of nature. Although absolute perfection is not found in all of these (due to the effects of sin), their very presence virtually everywhere and in everything argues against their having occurred by blind chance.

The only rational conclusion is that the Creator of the universe is a personal, intelligent Being, who created these things as a visible fingerprint of His invisible, yet personal existence. This great, wise, powerful, creative, and sovereign God of creation is the One revealed in the Bible. He is worthy of worship. “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” (Revelation 4:11).
