Iraqi army chief unhappy about loss of US trainers
October 21st, 2011 05:13 pm · Posted in NEWS (Iraq & World Currency)

A top Iraqi military official sounded a note of protest Friday over the withdrawal of all US troops by the end of this year, DPA reported.

The chief of staff of the Iraqi army Babakar Zebari insisted that Iraq will need trainers for the post-withdrawal period. “I need trainers from the US and NATO to stay and train soldiers on the weapons Iraq bought from the United States and Europe, which are very sophisticated,” Zebari told state television.

Earlier, the spokesman for Iraqi prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki greeted the news as a win-win situation for both sides.

US President Barack Obama announced Friday that all US troops will leave Iraq by the end of the year after talks failed that would have kept some soldiers in the country longer to help with training.

I'm thinking that this may be proof that Ch7 exit is near since they will take delivery of weapons, which Ch7 states they cannot have! :D

Well Duh! he is unhappy. They are losing some of the best training in the world. I wish they worked harder at utilizing it while they had it and in my mind, wish they could stay. But they gotta come home sometime and it would be nice to do it at the holidays. Maybe they can pay for some volunteers to come back.

thanx for the post. :) and hopefully this is a sign of something good (ch7)

You've got to be kidding right. None of them need to stay over there without amnesty. Next thing you hear they'll have committed some kind of infraction and be lined up for a firing sqad or beheaded, or hung. They have vengeance in mind over some other incidents involving American security and soldiers. Obama knows that.

Found it:

But then you have the dictator Maliki acting like they are trained and Iraq will defend themselves. RIGHT!

I can only wish that if we are asked to return to Iraq we "bargain" with them as they do to (for) us. How much are they willing to Pay to us to provide their training?

Fox news this morning at 6 am that all troops would be out, even for security, and that Iraq is now a free and sovern nation and needs to defend its self according to White House Briefings. So yes i guess all sanctions are lifted they just have not posted it as of the Board of the UN.
