i sure as hell hope this was sarcastic. everything he has touched has turned to crap. like the reverse midas effect. i know almost no one doing better now than 3 years ago. and he did pass all the stuff he wanted to (granted, it was jammed down your throat), and it has directly lead to more unemployment. stimulus bills are terrible ideas.

there is so much wrong with his presidency it is mind numbing.

Excuse me! Obama has done absolutely nothing about the deficit. Government spending keeps increasing and they are more in my life now than 2 years ago. The healthcare thing will cost my grandkids no telling how much money. Over a third of my customers are dependent on a government check. And I could go on and on about this whole deal. And it is not just Obama. It's the whole group up there. Ever see a one of them willing to give their check to charity? Won't happen. Government intrusion in my life is something I do not like. I'm on social security and can't live long enough to get it all back. You need to wake up before they start taking all your money and giving you back what they want you to have. It all sounds good, just doesn't work in the real world.

Well. One thing is for sure. He accomplished honoring Osama Bin Laden by giving him a burial at sea. This done for the one who supposedly masterminded the greatest attack on american soil in recent history. Honor him at sea. Geeze. What about honoring all the dead in NYC. If and I mean IF.... Osama was responsible for 911 then we should have at least let the dead U.S. citizens (next of kin) have the right to view who did this to their families. BUT, instead our grand leader just gave him a good burial. HOGWASH!!! Display his body at ground zero (or whatever) for all those to see who was responsible.......NONSENSE. Sweep it under the carpet (sea) and give us all a good video graphic of what happened only a few hours after the event and hope that puts things to rest. Something isn't right in Denmark! Your being to nice, he is much worst than that. Don't forget the high pump prices we have paid for two years. Oh a campaign promise to stop speculation on oil!! Or not one single job created by the trillion dollar stimlus. Or the government buyout of chrysler that fiat just purchased when the government dumped the're stocks. ( about 4 billion ) tax payers expense. Or the billions he gave george soros company in south america for exploratory drilling that we'all never see one drop of oil. Nationally unemployment has risen 2 percentage points in his 3 years.. Here in florida it's close to 18%percent unemployment. I could go on and on but my fingers are getting tired.

You got to be kidding with that article....the people that voted for o who they got involved were clueless.Whats worse o and his people knew it and used them to get elected even though many of them did not even know who was on the ticket with o.Truth is the Dem's want illegal immigrants to get immunity so they can vote for them to.Thats right they will sell out America for a vote.As for the tax cuts well most were enacted by bush and others were forced on o by congress. So really what has he done. What one single idea has he himself thought of and made happen that was of benefit to us all.ANSWER---ZERO.

I suppose the "facts" depend on who is writting them

.

Consider these facts:

• Jobs: The president has presided over the loss of 2.2 million jobs.
• Debt: Obama has increased taxpayer debt by $4.2 trillion. Every day, the nation runs a deficit of $4.2 billion.
• Foreclosure and Bankruptcy: 2.4 million homes have been foreclosed on. Homeowners and businesses have declared 4 million bankruptcies.
• The Stimulus: Obama promised that his $787 billion stimulus would save or create 3.5 million jobs by the end of 2010. He came up 7.3 million jobs short of his goal, according to the Heritage Foundation.
• Healthcare: Obamacare did not reduce healthcare costs as promised and is in fact responsible for increasing costs in 2011. Health insurance premiums are up 13 percent.
• Poverty: Nearly 3 million more Americans live in poverty than did before Obama took office.

and I really like this comment:

Although polls show Obama remains well-liked on a personal level, he recently conceded himself that Americans are not better off than they were four years ago, then proceeded to imply that Congress and President George W. Bush bear the blame.

and about unemployment numbers:

Real-estate mogul and New York Daily News owner Mortimer Zuckerman, a longtime supporter of the Democratic Party, says President Obama doesn’t seem to care for people – and the result is an economy that is on the brink of a "potentially catastrophic" collapse.

In fact, the nation may well be down that road with an unemployment rate Zuckerman estimates could be 20 percent.

i don't hate him..and I continue to respect the office of President but this liitle story sums up my feelings:

The woman applying for a job in a Florida lemon grove seemed to be far too qualified for the job. She had a liberal arts degree from the University of Michigan and had worked as a social worker and school teacher.

The foreman frowned and said, "I have to ask you, have you had any actual experience in picking lemons?"

"Well, as a matter of fact, I have! I've been divorced three times, owned 2 Chryslers and voted for Obama." :P

(for the record, I voted for McCain)

I'm not an "Obama" Basher... I'm a President Basher. This President has led the United States into its greatest decline in history. His policies have destroyed the market, weakened our international standing, overwhelmingly increased our deficits and destroyed the dreams of the next generation of Americans. He is nothing short of an abject failure!
Policies takes X number of years before the economy will feel the effect.

How long does it take monetary policy to have an effect on the economy?
Businesses and consumers do not normally change their spending plans immediately upon an interest rate change. Businesses must reevaluate, make new decisions and order reductions or expansions in production and expenditures. This means that months pass before spending is affected.

Fiscal policy (changing taxes and government spending) also has a significant lag time. It typically has a long policy lag (the time it takes Congress to approve a tax or spending change) and a short expenditure lag (the time it takes consumers to experience the tax changes and government to change spending). The combined lags may be anywhere from one to almost five years.

Did you think it would come easy or just forgot the situation we came from?

http://rambleandblat...s-the-election/ November 3, 2008

Who ever wins the Election when the dust settles tomorrow night will be the single heir to an inheritance of one huge mess. They will face challenges on a monolithic scale. They will be faced with restoring growth to a faltering economy the likes of which our country has not seen since the dark days before World War II. They will inherit a military fighting wars on two battle fields. One in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan. They will be faced with a budget deficit running close to $500 billion and growing daily. They will be forced by the American people to bring our country back to the figure head status we once held and to move forward as the world’s lone true superpower.

Please quit posting this garbage.

the truth is the truth whether you like it or not. what are you afraid of, reading that the man might have actually accomplished something in his three years and that would so difficult to admit right? I am neither an obama supporter or detractor. i just believe in the truth. i don't believe in using someone who you may disagree with as a scapegoat for all the ills of the world. really... that's pretty ridiculous. you can minus me all you want but i believe there is no higher reality than the truth. if you willing to look at it as oppossed to just lashing out blindly then maybe you learn something. or you can just go on continuing to espouse the philosophy that "my mind is made up. don't confuse me with the facts" if that's who you are then i feel sorry for you...

I do not actively support the protesters but I agree with what they are doing.
If you can not see the impact of our screwed up economy then you have lost touch with the middle class or poor.
I am old enough to remember that protest were held regularly in the 60's.
The same comments were made about them too.
History repeats itself. WAKE UP.
