Chapter Seven Continues

There are still people who continue to follow the United Nations

Chapter Seven Sanctions against Iraq and believe that it has been

lifted. The fact of the matter is that, the United Nations

Sanctions remain. My information continues to be current and

precise. In fact, recent news articles have confirmed the UN

Sanctions are still in place.

The Iraqi Transportation Minister clearly makes mention of the U.N.

Resolutions in the most recent article. Hadi al-Amari has said,

"The construction of this port ... demonstrates the clear intention

of Kuwait to block shipping lanes from Iraqi ports and contradicts

U.N. resolutions," he told reporters, adding that it would

"strangle" Iraq's main export terminal in the southern city of

Basra. "We say we will not accept that Basra and Iraq be strangled

in any way," the minister said angrily.

There's also another article reporting that the UN Chapter Seven

sanctions has not been lifted from Iraq. The Kuwait's Deputy Prime

Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem

Al-Sabah stressed the need for Iraq to complete it's implementation

of UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions as the sole exit out of

the Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

If the Kuwaiti government goes forth with completing the

construction of the Kuwait Port, Mubarak Al-Kabir, this would kill

all commerce for the new port. Construction on the planned Kuwait

port (which is already 14% completed) has for the time being been

halted.

A recently published article in the Kuwaiti Times dated 9 July,

stated that several Iraq government officials have signed petitions

to be sent to the United Nations Security Council for debate on the

construction of the Kuwaiti Port Mubarak Al-Kabir. It is unclear

if the UNSC will be able to schedule these discussions soon and

render a decision.

The Central Bank of Iraq Governor, Dr. Sinan Shabib, has yet to

send the re-denomination report to the Council of Ministries upon

request by Prime Minister Nuri Maliki. The mood at the Central

Bank right now is that they are on stand by and are awaiting

further instructions.

Currently, the Iraqi government is conducting their internal

investigations on the missing billions of dollars from government

accounts. This is a major undertaking and hopefully will be

completed soon.

Daniel c, I agree with ur sentiments about AC, however, recently within the last week or so I've seen him proven wrong.

AC claimed that Shabbi didn't make that trip to Rome recently and one of the members here ( perhaps umbertino ) disproved it.

In addition Adam weighed in with some insight about AC from the perspective of a Veteran ( no pun intended, for once ) Site Owner as opposed to AC, the Novice Sight Owner.

I'm glad to see AC focusing in on Chapter 7. Once Iraq fully emerges, that could be Game, Set, Match !

I know that Adam spoke about the significance of Iraq emerging from Chapter 7 and it's bearing on the RV in the Chat on Wednesday.

Right now I seem to be overly myopic on anything pertaining to the closing of Chapter 7 !

i need try to google the shabibi trip for the arab conference only found the schedule that shabibi is suppose to speak bu no actually new reporting of his speech at Rome

didn't A/C mention shabbs WAS NOT in Rome but someone in fact debunked that with a link showing him there. Please can someone chime in and correct me if im wrong. If true. A/C hold absolutely no credibility also might I add he has stated before as many can vouch here that the Dinar was illegal to own outside of Iraq and well.. we all know that is a bunch of BS now don't we?

I don't recall a discussion about his actual speech but about his appearance as AC claimed that Shabbi never made the trip.

I just left umbertino a message on his profile page to weigh in on this discussion.

He lives in Italy so he might not respond immediately.

That is not the case and it appears that I was once again, misquoted. Dr. Shabibi can not leave the country for the time being. That is all. This is not the same as house arrest. How long this order will be kept active is anyone’s guess. I have no other information on this only that I have witnessed him being served with the order. The Arabic Translation from the written order in English stated “Forced Residency”
