OK I know a lot of you are going to slam my question and after thinking about asking it for several hours I figured your criticism would be worth it for me. So as you may have guessed I am new and I am very sorry for upsetting anyone ahead of time. OK so here it is I noticed that a post about dropping the three zeros was posted today and not many of you commented on it. I have looked all day for information on the subject and I have gotten mixed reviews. From some I have heard that it will not happen and if it does we will have some time to turn in our current notes at the current RV (when it does RV). I have also heard they will drop the zeros even though it will cause problems. It looked as though they will drop the zeros and deal with a lot of immediate problems but the long term effect would be better for Iraq. I personally only hold $25,000 notes so this is a concern. Well actually I went into this knowing it has a high risk but after following information for a few months it all looked like it was going to happen ,until I seen this.
Again I am sorry to upset anyone I guess I'm just looking to see what everyones thoughts are and if I should be concerned?

MM. Welcome to DV.. Your guess is as good as any ones. There has not and probably want be anyone that truly knows that answer. If we did we would either get out or buy millions more. Just enjoy the investment and read all facts and fictions. It really has been fun and met a pile of good people. I have been in for 5 years I have seen it all. i can say this is definitely the closes we have ever been. But its not over yet. Have a wonderful Christmas.

You can go back thru the forum amd read alot about what's called the LOP. They have talked about bringing a new currency in and deleting the 3 zero's after all the 25,000 notes are in or during a specific time frame. Some say the values will remain the same and there is alot out there on this. I have found that going back reading the LOP articals help IMO.

Best advise is to read the LOP forum - There are many posts that will give you different point of views on dropping the zeros from the iraqi currency.

Too many senarios to go through and explain them all - best to read the posts and make your own determination as to how this is all going to play out.

This same question has been asked so many times and explained to hundreds if not thousands of people here on DV.

Too complicated to answer in on easy sentence.

Hopefully we will all see the fruits of this investment in a short time.

research "redenomination" & "demonitisation" then when you fully understand those terms, research "revaluation" and hold on to that.

Anything can happen in this investment but I feel that it's in Iraq's best interest to have a modest revaluation followed by removal of the large notes from circulation. This will have a much more positive effect on their economy and investment in their country than a straight up lop which would basically keep their currency worthless and not give it the boost it needs in order to purchase imports and compete in the world market. There's a ton of info out there but if it was as obvious as ABC i think we'd all either be buying or selling in a hurry. This is an incredible opportunity for the relatively small amount invested. Keep researching bro and maybe we'll all get to the end of this ride fairly shortly. Cheers.

CBI asked the kurds to integrate their money/banking system with CBI. Based on that article and a lop article from saleh describing the new denoms that have "kurdish writing"

Someone put two and two together and it makes sense to me that the small denoms could be the kurdish money.

I'm new at this so bare with me. When I bought my Dinar i WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT I WAS BUYING IT 100 TO 1. NOW THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE SOME ZEROS OFF THE 25,000 DINAR . HOW IS THIS A GOOD INVESTMENT.
tO MAKE MY DINAR 25.00 DOLLARS THATS NOT WHAT I INVESTED IN. ANYONE HAVE AN ANSWER?
