LIBERAL WRITERS, ACTIVISTS ATTACK ‘WHITE WOMEN’ OVER KAVANAUGH

Liberal writers and activists responded to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation over the weekend by attacking “white women.”

The New York Times on Saturday evening published an op-ed titled “White Women, Come Get Your People.” The op-ed’s author, Alexis Grenell, attacked Republican women who supported Kavanaugh as “gender traitors” in league with the “patriarchy.”

Grenell claimed that “white women benefit from patriarchy by trading on their whiteness to monopolize resources for mutual gain.”

White women “are expected to support the patriarchy by marrying within their racial group, reproducing whiteness and even minimizing violence against their own bodies,” the liberal writer asserted.

Grenell wasn’t alone in placing responsibility for Kavanaugh’s nomination on “white women.”

NBC News ran an opinion piece on Sunday slamming white, Republican women for Kavanaugh’s confirmation, which the op-ed claimed was “the ultimate affirmation of the patriarchy.”

Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour on Friday called Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins“the mother [and] grandmother of white women in America who gave us a Donald Trump presidency.”

“She is a disgrace [and] her legacy will be that she was a traitor to women and marginalized communities. History will not treat her kindly,” Sarsour said in a statement.

The next day Sarsour introduced Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand at an anti-Kavanaugh rally. (RELATED: Sarsour Blames ‘Jewish Media’ For Her Unpopularity)

Time Magazine on Thursday published an “open letter to white women” from playwright and feminist activist Eve Ensler.

Ensler demanded white women block “the ascension of a man who is angry, aggressive, and vengeful and could very well be a sexual assaulter.”

Pelosi filing FOIA request for key Kavanaugh documents, prolonging fight

Pelosi seeks FBI docs after Kavanaugh confirmation

Nancy Pelosi is vowing to obtain FBI documents related to the supplemental probe into Bret Kavanaugh.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Sunday she will request that the government make public the FBI's supplemental background report into sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, indicating the Democrats' fight against Kavanaugh is not over.

In a letter to her Democratic colleagues, Pelosi said her Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request also would cover "transcripts of interviews, instructions from the White House, and any communications to the FBI from Senate Republicans regarding the scope of the investigation," production of which she said was "important to set the record straight."

The Senate narrowly confirmed Kavanaugh's appointment to the high court on Saturday, days after the FBI completed its report. In her letter, Pelosi said Kavanaugh's confirmation "has wounded the very soul of justice in our country" and called it a "dark chapter."

Democrats have complained that the bureau was not given time to thoroughly explore the allegations against Kavanaugh, which dated from his days in high school and college in the early 1980s. Kavanaugh repeatedly and emphatically denied the claims against him.

Republicans have argued that the supplemental FBI investigation instigated by wavering GOP senators and ordered by the White House turned up no corroborating witnesses to the claims and that Kavanaugh had sterling credentials for the court.

In the end, Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., was the only Democrat to vote for Kavanaugh's confirmation. He expressed empathy for sexual assault victims, but said that after factoring in the FBI report, "I have found Judge Kavanaugh to be a qualified jurist who will follow the Constitution." Republican Lisa Murkowski of Alaska announced her opposition to Kavanaugh's confirmation but voted "present" Saturday after it became clear the judge would be confirmed.

House Democrats have pledged to investigate Kavanaugh further if they win the majority in November. In her letter, Pelosi told her colleagues to channel their disappointment at Kavanaugh's confirmation toward success at the ballot box next month.

"We must not agonize, we must organize," Pelosi wrote. "People must vote."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Avenatti Deletes "Skeezy" O'Rourke Donation Page Which Funneled Half The Money To His Own PAC

Attorney Michael Avenatti has come under fire over a now-deleted tweet encouraging people to "chip in for Beto now," linking to what appeared to be a fundraising page for Texas Democratic Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke.

In the fine print of the now-deleted campaign, however, O'Rourke supporters discovered that half the proceeds went to Avenatti's Fight PAC, formed a little over seven weeks ago

Users were able to manually allocate funds entirely to O'Rourke, however the default sent half of all money collected to Avenatti's Political Action Committee

It is pretty skeezy,” said Brendan Fischer, the director of federal and FEC reform programs at the Campaign Legal Center, of the fundraising tactic. “If Avenatti wanted to raise funds for Beto O’Rourke’s campaign, he could just share a link to the Beto for Senate donation page. But he didn’t. Avenatti’s tweet gave viewers the impression their donation would support Beto for Senate, and given how easy it is to make a one-click donation through ActBlue, some viewers could miss the fine print disclosing that their donation would be split with Avenatti’s PAC.”-Daily Beast

Avenatti called the criticism "complete nonsense," noting that Senators Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris "do the same thing." Perhaps sensing he'd made a huge mistake, Avenatti deleted the page - telling the Daily Beast in a text message: "It wasn’t worth the nonsense that resulted from people that don’t understand how common this is."

Avenatti, 47, came under fire earlier this month after his introduction of the phrase "gang rape" into the national dialogue may have gotten Brett Kavanaugh confirmed to the Supreme Court, according to angry DemocratsHis client, Julie Swetnick, claimed without evidence that Kavanaugh facilitated gang rape orgies at house parties in the early 80's. Many say the accusation dragged credible allegations into absurd territory, while GOP Senator Susan Collins of Maine - an undecided swing vote - called Swetnick's claim "outlandish," and a "stark reminder about why the presumption of innocence is so ingrained in our American consciousness."

The left was not pleased:

The spotlight-stealing lawyer, who also represented Stormy Daniels, is responsible for drawing the media's attention to Julie Swetnick, an alleged victim of Kavanaugh who told an inconsistent and unpersuasive storySwetnick's wild accusation provided cover for fence-sitting senators to overlook the more plausible allegation leveled by psychology professor Christine Blasey Ford, and to declare that Kavanaugh was being subjected to false smears.

Indeed, in her speech announcing her decision to vote for Kavanaugh, Collins explicitly made note of Swetnick's allegation, which she described as "outlandish."

"That such an allegation can find its way into the Supreme Court confirmation process is a stark reminder about why the presumption of innocence is so ingrained in our American consciousness," Collins said.

Sen. John Kennedy (R–La.) echoed Collins, telling MSNBC's Chuck Todd, "I think this process changed dramatically when Mr. Avenatti entered the picture. I think a lot of people, including many of my Democratic colleagues, felt like we had gotten into the foothills of preposterous." -Reason.com

Beto O'Rourke, meanwhile, announced that his campaign raised $38 million in the third quarter - $16 million more than the previous quarterly funding record of $22 million by 2000 Hillarious Clinton challenger Rick Lazio.

Seems like there's big money in Beto, although that was before he was seen dabbing in public...
